It was 62 degree for the morning walk and very foggy. The temp for the day topped out at 82 degrees. I got the bed sheet laundry started for Cheri. Cheri worked on packing up Christmas decorations. I worked outside on rearranging my tools in the truck to get ready for a couple projects next week. Cheri and I went out for lunch at Tina and Joes. It was only fair to give them another chance, well the service was terrible but the food was good. We won’t be going back there again. After lunch we made a stop at Publix’s for a few things we needed. We didn’t stay very long as it was so busy we couldn’t get around so only got what we really needed and headed for home. I watched the Wisconsin Badger football game as I had it recorded. This evening we were invited over to Larry and Denise’s along with three other couples to celebrate the new year and play some cards. It was around 11:45 pm when we got home, so we were awake for the New Year. There were a lot of fireworks going off. It has been many years since we were awake for the new year.
We want to thank you for following along with our daily lives for the last 17 years. There has been a lot of things happen in those years but the best thing for Cheri and me was the day we got saved and turned our lives over to Jesus. That is when a heavy load was lifted and turned it over to God. We pray that you have good health and find your way with God helping you.
We love you and pray for peace for our country

It was 65 degrees this morning for the walk and very foggy, turned out to be a very nice day with a high temp around 80 degrees. Cheri and I got the laundry started this morning. Cheri finished working with the laundry and some housework. I headed out to pick up my medications at the pharmacy and a stop at Rural King to pick up some dried soup made by Bear Creek. We used to buy it at Menards up north. The first time I have seen it down here. Maybe the real reason I went to Rural King was for the free popcorn. On the way home I stopped and checked Kacey’s house. When I got home I worked on taking down the outside Christmas lights. I got the step ladder in the house to get Cheri’s Christmas containers down so she can start putting away all the Christmas decorations which will take a couple of days. Late this afternoon we made a trip to Lakeland to have dinner at Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grill. Cheri had a ribeye steak and I had the tender loin, another excellent meal. It is still our favorite place to eat. When we got home we settled in for an evening of TV watching Northwoods Law. Thank you God for blessing us with a beautiful day.

It was 62 degrees this morning and only needed a long sleeve shirt because it was foggy. Cheri was busy with housework and I went over to Donna’s to finish the skirting project. I was done by noon and happy to have that project done. It was really more than I am able do anymore. So it was a good lesson for me to say no to bigger jobs. After lunch I went to Lowe’s to return some materials I didn’t need and also to Advanced Auto to make a return. When I got home I headed for the shower and then to the recliner where Cheri was already reading. I read a little and napped before supper. Cheri made a ham casserole from the leftover ham for supper. It was really good and had to have a second serving. This evening I went out for security with Dennis all was quiet and nice to see the Christmas lights, some already have been taken down. When I got home Cheri finished watching a Hallmark movie and then we watched more episodes of North Woods Law and When big things go Wrong. Thank you God for blessed day. I forgot to take a picture of the finished shirting project but looked like the starting picture without the bowling.

It was 59 degrees this morning for the walk and no wind. I left the house at 6:15 am heading to Dade City for my accountability group breakfast and Bible Study. We are still in Romans chapter 8, some heavy stuff to understand. So happy to have Charlie Rodgers to explain it to us. It was around 9:00 am when I got home. Cheri had slept in and was just finishing breakfast. I headed to the bathroom shaving and getting ready to face the day. I headed back to Donna Perkins house skirting project. I thought I would be able to finish it today. But I quit at 4:00 pm as I wasn’t able to work anymore today. Thankful that I had the help of Dennis. The hot shower felt good on the sore muscles. I tried to read some before supper but that didn’t last long before I was napping. Cheri was busy with housework and made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for me. She fixed what I think was the last of the chicken casserole for supper. We watched Northwest Law and When big things go Wrong. Thank you God for guiding us through this day keeping us healthy and safe.
Hope to finish tomorrow. |
It has been a bigger project than I thought it would be. |

It was another warm 53 degrees this morning. Cheri was busy with housework and deboning the ham we took for Christmas dinner. So we will have ham for a few meals and I think Cheri even froze some of it. I worked over at Donna Perkins doing the house skirting project. Dennis helped me, had good day getting the siding off and building a new support system. The landscaper over the years put too much gravel next to the house and caved in the skirting. It took a while to get all the stone and gravel away from the house skirting. After lunch Dennis and I went to Lowe’s to get the material we needed. By 3:30 pm we were at a stopping point which was a good thing as I was done for the day. Couldn’t wait to get home and get in the shower which helped make me feel better. Cheri fixed us left over casserole for supper. Larry and Denise came over to play cards, everybody was a winner tonight, I guess it also means everyone was a looser. Thank you God for a blessed day helping us through this day.
