It rained all night and didn’t quit until around 1:00 pm and we didn’t see the sun until around 3:00 pm. Our high was 54 degrees and windy. Needless to say we didn’t do much today, I did do some honey do jobs. At 5:00 pm Cheri called Wal-Mart to see if Grandma’s medicine was ready. They put her on hold and after 20 minutes we jumped in the truck and drove over to Wal-Mart to talk to the person in charge at the pharmacy. Cheri asked him when they were going to talk to her on the phone and showed him that she was on hold for 35 minutes. He said there were no lines on hold and then picked up a phone and pressed the line that Cheri was being held on. He didn’t know what to say and asked all the girls and they all said they didn’t do it, go figure. After all of that they said they never got the prescription from the doctor who told Cheri they would call it in. Cheri isn’t a happy camper right now.

It was 62 degrees this morning and nice walking. Bev came down this morning and gave Cheri a hair cut. I worked on fasting the new patio carpet down. Every time the wind would blow it would roll up on one end. At 1:00 pm it started to rain and was still raining when we went to bed. Cheri and I made a trip to Penney’s to pick up our new electric blanket; Cheri also thought we needed new sheets for the bed. Yep, we got new sheets. We got home around 4:00 pm.

Cheri and I work all morning around the 5th wheel doing odd jobs. This after noon we went shopping at Lowe’s and Wal-Mart. Looking for a new towel rack and hooks for the bathroom. It was warm enough today to run the air conditioner. It was near 80 degrees today, my kind of weather.

We were up early getting things closed up to take the 5th wheel to the RV dealer in Ocala. I pulled the 5th wheel on the road and then Paul helped me reset the blocks that we park on. I wanted the 5th wheel to set about 6” lower. It took us about a 1 ½ hours to get it set up the way I wanted it. It was 11:30 am before we got to the dealer. They found a lag bolt up through the water line. We got back to Baker Acers around 5:30 pm. After we got set up we went up to Paul and Bev’s for a visit and a beer.

Once again Cheri and I were out for our morning walk before the sun came up. I like walking early. Cheri and Bev went shopping for most of the day. I was doing honey due jobs again. I noticed a water leak under the 5th wheel coming from near the kitchen. I called and have a morning appointment in Ocala at the RV dealer. So I started packing up things to get ready to leave in the morning. It was after dark when we did our walk tonight on our way we stopped for a short visit with Paul and Bev.

Bill and Lynda Shaw from Pennsylvania came to see us. They were on our Alaskan Caravan this last summer. They met us this morning down at the Rec Hall at 9:45 am for church. After church we went to Golden Coral for dinner. After dinner we came back to our place to look through three of their photo albums from the Alaska trip. Then we look at the pictures we took on the Alaska trip. By the time we got done with them it was 5:00 pm. We had a wonderful visit and it was great to see them. We saw Paul and Bev on our walk and they wanted to know if we wanted to play dominos. So a little later we went up to their place. The girls won one and us guys won one.

Happy birthday Darren, have a great day. It was a beautiful day, nice and sunny with no wind. Temp was in the mid to high 70’s. The dealer was done with the 5th wheel and we were on our way back to Baker Acers by 3:00 pm. I had hard time getting the 5th wheel backed in to our spot. For some reason I had trouble get lined up right. Paul took the two way radio and helped guild me in. Around 6:30 we rode over to Arby’s for supper. Then we settled in for an evening of TV.

It was 30 degrees this morning and quickly warmed up to 65 degrees with a lot of sun. We got the 5th wheel packed up and were ready to leave at 11:30 am for Ocala to have the RV dealer install new tires, check and repack the wheel bearings, also check the brakes. While work was being done we went to see friends that live in Ocala, Larry & Emmy Becker. Emmy fixed us a wonderful supper. We had a great visit and got caught up on things that has happened over the last year. Around 10:00 pm we headed back to the 5th wheel.

Will this was the coldest morning we have had in the four years we have been here. It was 24 degrees. We know of three trailers that had their water freeze up and break. Cheri didn’t want to walk this morning. It did warm up to 60 degrees and was nice if you stayed in the sun. Cheri and I finished our spring (winter) cleaning of the 5th wheel. The only thing left to do is give it a coat of wax on the outside. We made a trip to Wal-Mart and also went to see Grandpa. He was very responsive today and watched him get a haircut. After our evening walk we settled in for an evening of TV.

It was 31 degrees this morning when we walked and a high of 46 degrees with some wind. We cut our evening walk short because of the wind. Cheri did some laundry and carpet cleaning and I did some honey do jobs. I also spent a lot of time on the computer. We spent some of the day reading and watching TV. Paul and Bev came down for a visit this afternoon and we went up to their place this evening to play dominos. We guys won two games. By the time we got to bed it was down to 30 degrees.

It was a cool windy day with a high of 52 degrees. If you were in the sun out of the wind it wasn’t too bad. The wind made for a cold walk this morning. Cheri took Grandma for her to doctor appointments today, one at 10:00 am and the other at 1:30 pm. I went and got a tank of LP, did a few odd jobs and then went to Lowe’s to look around. We tried to walk this evening, but with the strong wind it was just too cold. We did make it as far has the Rec Hall to pick up mail.

We walked early this morning with a temp of 42 degrees. We went down to the Rec Hall for the Park wide breakfast of eggs, sausage, strawberries, coffee and all you can eat pancakes and French toast. Cheri did cleaning and I washed the 5th wheel. Paul came down and helped me finish. Glad to have that job done, now I have to get the wax on it. Later this afternoon we went up for a visit with Paul and Bev and then a trip to Wal-Mart. This evening we went over to Grandma’s to play dominos. Dean and Betty and Charlotte were there.

It was another cold night, with a low of 36 degrees, made for a chilly walk this morning. About 8:00 am the power went off. We also didn’t have any water. The power didn’t come back on until 10:30 am. Half of Zephyrhills was without power. Grandma, Ken and Eileen came over here to stay warm. Because we have a 5th wheel we had our heat and water that we have on board for emergencies. Church was called off because of no power. The five of us went for a late breakfast at the Lions Club. They had eggs, sausage, orange juice, apple sauce, coffee and all the pancakes you could eat for $3.00. Can’t beat that and was very good. Paul came over for a visit this afternoon. We order in pizza for supper.

Today was cleaning day for Cheri. She cleaned out the clothes closet and did laundry. I worked outside and took the auxiliary fuel tank off the truck. It was another cold morning with a temp of 38 degrees. It did warm up to 61 degrees. The rest of the day was reading and watching TV.

We left early this morning and headed back to the RV show in Tampa, spent the day looking and dreaming. We did buy some cleaning products and a water softener for the 5th wheel. We didn’t get back to Zephyrhills until 4:30 pm. It was time for the soup supper at the local church here in town, so headed to the church, lots of good soup and dessert. We got home around 7:00 pm. We were both tired and went to bed early.

Cheri took Grandma for her follow up appointment this morning and everything looks good, her lungs sounded clear but have to go for another chest x-ray to be sure. When Cheri got home we jumped in the truck and headed for the big RV show in Tampa. We were looking at a 5th wheel when Larry and Emmy Becker from Ocala came in. What a surprise, it has been almost a year since we have seen them. We talked for a while and the show was closing for the day so we went out for supper and a nice visit. It was 9:30 pm before we got home.

Paul called us this morning and wanted to know if we wanted to ride up to Dade City to pick up some fruit, so off we went. We stopped at Big Lots to check on an electric blanket, they didn’t have any. Then to Saves a Lot. We stopped at the tire store so I could check on the price for tires on the 5th wheel and found that I could save over two hundred dollars there. We then stopped at the fruit stand and got some strawberries and bananas. When we got home we went to see how Grandma was and she said she had a heavy chest and wasn’t going to go and see Grandpa. Cheri and I took the van and went to Penney’s and bought an electric blanket. Then we stopped to see Grandpa. He is about the same. We went to Wal-Mart to pick up Grandma’s medicine. By the time we got home it was 3:30 pm.

It was a gloomy cool morning and rain this afternoon. I didn’t feel like doing anything today so I didn’t. Cheri took Grandma for her doctor appointment and then to Wal-Mart for groceries. We went over to Dean & Betty’s this evening to play domino. The girls won both games. I don’t think Dean and I have won any games together.

Cheri called the doctor for Grandma this morning. She is having a problem with headaches and bleared vision in one eye. Cheri got her an appointment for tomorrow and then went over to see how she was doing and to let her know about the appointment. She is feeling better. On my way to pick up some LP I dropped Cheri off at the Rec Hall as today is the stile show which Cheri is one of the models. On the way home I stopped at a RV place that sells campers and trucks to see if I could leave my motorcycle trailer on consignment. They said that I could bring it in so I headed for home to get it ready to take down. I was about to leave when Cheri came home. So she rode along with me. On the way home we stopped at Wal-Mart to pick up Grandma’s medicine, waited in line for half an hour to have them tell us that something was wrong and had to go to the drop off window. We waited another half an hour to have them tell us that the doctor never called in the prescription.

We had 111 in church this morning and a very good speaker. After Church we took the flowers from church up to Grandma’s. She said she was about the same. After lunch we took a 50 mile motorcycle ride. On the way back we stopped to see Grandpa, he was sitting by the door ready to go outside. We asked him he wanted to go outside and he said he was waiting for Grandma. We told him she wouldn’t be coming so then he said he wanted to go out in the park. We got home around 4:30 pm. This evening we went down to the Rec Hall for the New Comers Party. There are around 80 new people in the park this year.

After we got around this morning we went to look at a 1995 Mustang convertible that was for sale here in the park. It was priced right and thought maybe it would be the one for us. As it turned out there were too many things wrong with it. I played Joe the plumber this morning while Cheri went to see how Grandma was feeling. We had a leak around the drain in the kitchen sink. I took it apart and clean the old caulking out and put in some new plumbers putty and put it back together. At 2:00 pm we went down to the Rec Hall to help set up the tables and chairs for the Pot Luck Supper. The supper was at 5:00 pm and once again everything was very good. After cleaning up and putting things away it was 6:30 before we got home.

We didn’t think it was that good. We stopped in Lakeland at the Olive Garden for lunch, had the salad, soup and bread sticks, it was very good. We also made a stop at Wal-Mart in Lakeland. When we got back we went to see Grandpa. This evening we walked with Paul and Bev and then went to their place to play dominos. We guys won two games.

Grandma is still not doing very well so I took her to the doctor this morning and found out that she has some phenomena in her left lung. After the doctors visit we had to go to the hospital to have a chest x-ray done. We stopped at the bank so she could cash her check and then to Wal-Mart to pick up some medicine. It was 1:00 pm before we got home. Cheri had an appointment this morning to select some outfits for a stile show she is going to be in. At 2:00 pm Paul & Bev and Cheri and I went to the movie to see Marley and Me. It was a pretty good movie. We stopped for Chinese for supper on the way home. We took our evening walk and called it a day.

We got around petty early this morning. I made a trip to Lowe’s and got the wire I needed for the motorcycle lift, also stopped at NAPA store to get terminals for the wire. Cheri continued working on her sewing. It started raining and the wind blowing very hard before I got home. Cheri had a time with the awning and got pretty wet trying to get it tied down. She wasn’t very happy. This afternoon we stayed in reading and watching TV. We both are still coughing. We can’t seem to get rid of it.

Cheri and I drove up to Center Hill this morning to get a new patio mat. They had several different colors that were available; we picked a dark brown with a red tint. We got two pieces 4 ½ feet by 18 feet for $52.00. The one bought two years ago cost over $100.00 and was falling apart this year. It was 1:00 pm before we got home. We had lunch and then went to see Grandpa. He was sitting outside when we got there. We went to the park and watched all the birds by the lake. I pushed him around the lake. He likes doing that. It was almost 4:00 pm by the time we got home. We did our evening walk and stopped to see Ken & Eileen. We ended up playing three games of cribbage which we guys won.

Cheri and I are both feeling much better, but can’t shake the cough. I went to a body shop to get some fasteners for the doors on the truck. The door panels are loose and radial. The body shop said they couldn’t help me, hard to figure, don’t think they wanted to take the time with me. I ended up going to Advance Auto Parts store and got the fastener I needed. I also made a stop at Lowe’s and Home Depot looking for wire to provide power to the back of the 5th wheel for motorcycle lift. Cheri worked on her sewing and I got the truck doors fixed. This afternoon we went for a motorcycle ride.

Paul and I left at 8:00 am for the car show and swap meet in Bushnell. This show is once a month and draws several 1000 people. If you need to buy an old car or parts for a vintage car this is the place to come. After we got done at the car show we stopped in Webster for the big motorcycle swap meet and bike show. It also draws a lot of people. I wanted to see if I could find a luggage rack for the bike, no luck. It was around 3:00 pm when we got home. Cheri was up to Bev’s. They had a sewing project that they both were working on. They had all kinds of material out and doing a lot of cutting and sewing. They both had a machine they were working with. I helped Cheri bring her stuff home and we sat down to watch a movie on TV. I napped through most of it. We both are feeling better but are still doing a lot of coughing. We did do our evening walk and then made a trip to Wal-Mart.

Once again I walked before Cheri got up. Each day I feel better. Cheri was up when I got back from my walk. She said she felt some better but we both are doing a lot of coughing. Cheri took it easy for the day. I did get out and finished waxing the truck, glad that job is done. The rest of the afternoon I sat outside and read. Paul and Bev picked us up at 4:00 pm and we went to Dade City for the monthly car show. It was good to get out and about. We were home by 7:30 pm

We watched TV and read today. Late afternoon I did go out for a walk, stopped and talked to Paul and Bev for a little bit. Also stopped and talked with Lyn Greene who just came in for the winter.

I am still under the weather with the cold, it has been years since I have gotten a cold and I hope it’s a lot more before I get another one. It is something that is going around down here this winter. We went to the quilt store is morning. Cheri got her bed spread quilt done and wanted to take it over to have the quilting done. It will be after the 1st of May before it is done. We stopped to get some groceries on the way home. Cheri did some laundry and house cleaning. I laid around and started reading a book and watched some TV. We did take our evening walk and watched TV, stayed up to watch the ball drop. Happy New Year to everyone! There were also a lot of fire works going off at midnight. Cheri went to bed with a sore throat and I got up at 2:00 am unable to sleep. I watched TV until 4:00 am and then back to bed. This wasn’t the way we wanted to celebrate the New Year.
