Paul and Bev picked us up at 10:00 am and we headed for Lakeland to do some shopping and eat Chinese. We stopped at Target for the girls and then Harbor Freight for us guys. We had a good time and a lot of laughs. We got home around 2:30 pm. Roger and Pat (Cheri’s long time girl friend from Maine) arrived around 6:00 pm. It was good to see them. We visited for a while and then went to Chilies for supper. After supper we played a game of Five Crown and then a game of Dominos. At 10:00 pm we called it a night as Roger and Pat had a long day of driving.

Cheri took Grandma for her doctor’s appointment this morning and didn’t get home until almost noon. I worked on waxing the 5th wheel. I got that job done, with two coats of wax, looks like brand new. Cheri and I went for a 60 mile motorcycle ride this afternoon. This evening we went over to Dean and Betty’s to play dominos. The guys won both games.

I had a doctor’s appointment this morning for a follow up on cholesterol which was high and now with new medication is ok. I had a bad cold back at the end of December and still have a cough that I can’t seem to get rid of. The doctor could find anything wrong but did send me for a chest x-ray. Cheri worked all day on taxes. This afternoon I worked on doing some more waxing on the 5th wheel.

I quit at 1:30 pm, had enough for the day. Cheri made oatmeal cookies today, very good. This afternoon we took Grandma and went to see Grandpa along with some old friends of Grandpa & Grandma that they have known for 20 years. We had a nice visit with them. This evening we went up to Paul and Bev’s to play with their new dominos. We each won one game.

It was cold and windy today with a high of 60 degrees. This morning we took Grandma’s van and went to Wal-Mart to take in a prescription for her and we had a few things to pick up. We also got some milk and light bulbs for Grandma. It was near noon when we got home. Cheri did laundry and cleaning this afternoon and I did some internet surfing. Late afternoon we went for a walk to see if the soup supper was this evening at the local church. We couldn’t find anyone who knew so we made a trip to the church to find out. Sure enough it was this evening. At 4:15 we picked up Grandma and Ken. There were so many people we had to wait for and hour to eat, then we only got one small bowl of soup with a piece of pie. When we got home we went to Ken & Eileen’s to play dominos along with Grandma. Eileen won the game of dominos.

Paul and I left at 8:00 am for the big car show here in Zephyrhills. It is a four day show, swap meet and a car auction on Sat and Sun. Paul had some parts to pick up for his 58 Chevy. It did rain while we were there and made it hard to look at some of the cars. We left and came home around 1:30 pm. Of course it quit raining after we got home. Paul is going back the next two days. I am not sure but may go again on Sat. Cheri and Bev just took it easy and visited. This evening we went up to Paul and Bev’s to play dominos. We each won a game.

There was a mist in the air when we walked this morning. It did rain at times today, but never more then a sprinkle, just enough that if you are going to be out you needed to carry an umbrella. After church we stopped by Paul and Bev’s for a short visit. When we got home I went to work on waxing the 5th wheel. That lasted about an hour and then it started to rain. So we went to see Grandpa. He is about the same. He did talk a little and had a hard time hearing. When we got home I started watching the Daytona 500 and Cheri read the Sunday paper and read in her book, then worked on her pencil drawing that she and Bev worked on the day before.

After we got our walk done we made a trip to Dade City for groceries Cheri wanted to go to Win-Dixie as they had sales on some of the things she wanted to get. We also stopped at Walgreens to get pizza. When we were up north we always bought Jacks pizzas and never could find them down here. One day we were in Walgreens and there they were. You don’t think about going to a drug store to buy pizza. On the way home we stopped and filled up the truck with fuel. When we got home Cheri did some cleaning and I recharged the water softener. Then I did some waxing on the 5th wheel until it got too hot. This afternoon I watched the NASCAR race. Cheri read and took a nap. Cheri fixed lobster for supper, what a treat that was. This evening we went up to Paul and Bev’s to play dominos. The girls won both games.

I was able to walk this morning in shorts, nice warm weather. I went to the lab for blood work this morning. From there I went to get a tank of LP. It was 10:30 before I got home. I did some more waxing on the 5th wheel. Cheri had taken Grandma for her doctor’s appointment and didn’t get home until near noon. She said Grandma had had a bathroom and living room lights that weren’t working. So this afternoon my project was to get them fixed. I had to make a trip to Lowe’s for parts. That took most of the afternoon. We did our evening walk before dark.

Cheri and I didn’t walk this morning. We were both still tired from yesterday. We did make it for church. Cheri wanted an additional light in the bedroom so she could see to do her hair. So when we were down to Lazy Days we picked up a florescent light. So my job this afternoon was to put up the light. I put it on the ceiling in front of the mirror in the bedroom. Now my queen is very happy. Late afternoon we made a trip to Wal-Mart to get groceries and Grandma’s medicine.

Just to let you know how cold it is in Florida. This morning it was 6 degrees warmer in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and Atlanta, Georgia then here in Zephyrhills, Florida. Today was park wide and city wide yard sale day. It made for a lot of traffic in the park. We walked down to the Rec Hall to see the craft sale. At 11:30 am we went back to the Rec Hall for lunch. They had soup and sandwiches for sale. We left from there for Lazy Days for the second day of our Alaskan Rally. We stopped by Bill and Lynda’s and showed them how to play Mexican Train dominos. A lot of our tour group stopped by so for a while we had our own party with our tour group. Later everyone got together for the longest can-can routine, about 140 people, and was very funny. Then it was into the hall for a meal of barbecue ribs and chicken, it was great. The rest of the evening was stories, visiting and door prize drawings. Cheri and I won a gift box of smoked salmon and a mountain bicycle. It took awhile to say our good byes and all plan on meeting next year.

This afternoon we went down to Lazy Days near Tampa for our Alaskan Caravan Rally. It was great to see most of the people we were with on the caravan. There were over 150 people at the rally from past years. Our caravan group was the largest; we had 20 people and will have 4 more tomorrow. We had a block party get together out in front of Spike’s motor home. Then at 5:00 pm we went inside for games and more visiting. Later we had pizza and apple pie. We had a great time and will be going back tomorrow for more fun.

27 degrees and breezy this morning and we didn’t walk. It only got up to 50 degrees for a high and is suppose to be cold again tonight. We let our water run a little last night so it wouldn’t freeze up. Our day was spent inside reading and watching TV. I did walk up to the dumpster with trash and talked to a few people on the way back.

I feel like a broken record as it is once again cold but not as windy has yesterday, we had a high of 56 degrees. Although it was nice if you stayed in the sun and out of the wind. Cheri took Grandma for her lab work appointment this morning. Early afternoon we went to see Grandpa. He was having a very good day. He did a lot of talking and also walked with the walker about 150 feet. Paul and Bev came down this evening for a visit and we ended up playing dominos. Once again the girls won both games.

So the ground hog says we are going to have 6 more weeks of winter. I am sick of it already, can’t imagine what it’s like up north and I don’t care to find out. Shortly after we did our morning walk it started to rain and didn’t quit until around 10:00 pm. Cheri gave me a hair cut which I badly needed. This afternoon we made a trip to Lowe’s and then to Wal-Mart to pick up medicine for Grandma. Dean and Betty came over to play dominos. We guys won both games, I think it has been 4 years since Dean and I won two games in one night.

Cheri went up to Bev’s and work on doing pencil drawings. They did an old barn with the old pump and platform, it came out really nice. We settled in for the evening, me watching the Super Bowl and Cheri reading.

It was 38 degrees when we walked this morning. There was no wind so it was nice walking in the fresh air. This afternoon Paul & Bev, Cheri & I went to Dade City for the Kumquat Festival. Bev and Cheri had fun going through all the craft booths. It was the car show for Paul and me. We got home around 4:00 pm. We did our evening walk and then went up to Paul and Bev’s to play dominos. The girls beat us bad the first game and we tied the last game. We have never had a tie in dominos before. Hard to beleive this is the last day of January.
