It is Friday which means it was breakfast and Bible study with my accountability group in Dade City. It was good to get back, miss not being able to be there last Friday. I was back home by 8:15 am. I went over to Jean’s our next door neighbor to replace the batteries in her thermostat. Then to a place on the other side of town to check out an attic fan. It has ceased up so I removed it and the couple will be getting a new one for me to install. I was going to go to Lowe’s to pick up some materials but it started to rain on and off the rest of the day so that has to wait until another day. I also went over to Elaine’s another neighbor that has some work she wants done, repair a popcorn ceiling, replace bathroom mirrors, paint the air filter cover, and refinish a section of hallway floor. I also put up the house numbers Cheri bought while we were in Mexico, she had looked at them when we were in Mexico the last time and this time decided she wanted them. The rest of the day was spent relaxing and napping. Cheri is still busy getting caught up on house work plus doing the normal day’s work. She got the new dragon fly quilt hung on the wall this afternoon, looks nice. We had leftovers for supper and then an evening of TV watching some new summer shows. Thank you God for a good day.

I was out the door at 7:45 am. Back to Tampa Bay country to finish the bedroom floor. I wanted to get an early start so I could get it done today. Things went well and finished at 4:00 pm. Although it was 5:00 pm when I got home, had to stop and fill the truck with gas. Cheri was busy getting caught up on her cleaning from while we were gone. She also had a meeting over at Grandma’s with the Care people so she can continue to have home care. We got invited out for supper with Mike and Pam but Cheri had steak going for supper and I was too tired to be going out anywhere. I headed for the shower and spent more time soaking the muscles. After supper I headed for the recliner and a little TV, but all I did was fall asleep. So I decide to take an Alieve and go to be early. Thank you God for working with us today.

It was a busy day for both Cheri and I. On top of everything that we had to do we were both tired from the trip to Mexico. Cheri busy doing laundry, getting a package boxed up and for return to UPS, getting groceries, and stopping over to Grandma’s has she had e-mailed us this morning that she had a water leak under the sink. I was already in Tampa Bay country installing a bedroom floor. Cheri called me about the leak and I talked her though how to remove some of the skirting and turn off the water. I quit working at 4:00 pm and called Cheri that I was on my way home so she would have supper ready. After supper I went over to Grandma’s and found a fitting that was leaking. Which met I had to make trip to Lowe’s for parts. After the repair and cleaning up the water I headed home for the nice hot shower. We tried to watch some TV but both tired and decide to go to bed early when we got a call from Grandma’s Life-Alert. We quickly headed over to her place to see what was wrong. Turns out that she was washing dishes and bumped the button against the counter. Nice to know that it does work. After that we were both awake but still headed to bed and watched a little TV. Thank you God for a productive day.

We had a quit morning having breakfast together and visiting before it was time to leave. It was really hard saying goodbye to little Wyatt. Cheri took a lot more pictures this morning. At 11:00 am local time we left for the airport. Coz, Nikki, Cece, Cheri, and I were on the same plane coming back to Atlanta. The flight was good with no problems. It took us over an hour and a half to get through customs, security, and to our gate for our flight to Atlanta. After saying goodbyes to Coz, Nikki, and Cece we headed to our gate and they stopped for some supper as they had a four hour wait for their next flight. We didn’t figure we would have time to get anything to eat. As it turned out we were an over an hour and half late as the flight crew were late coming from Orlando. Long story short it was 12:20 am when we got home. It was near 1:00 am when we finally got to bed. Thank you God for save travels.

Putting the fan in the door way to the bedroom did help some but the bed is so bad that we still didn’t get much sleep. One more night here and then we can get back to our own bed. Darren had some work he had to do today and the rest were satisfied to just chill out. Cheri and I called Chris and he came and picked us up and took us over to the new condo that they have purchased. I was very nice and will be ready for them to move in next week. Chris also took us by Darren and Brooke’s new condo that they will be moving into next month. We also stopped by a pharmacy to pick up some pain cream for Cheri’s knee that Cheryl told her about. We were back home by lunch time. Because of the late breakfast nobody was hungry so we just snacked and played some SOB which Nikki won. This evening we went done by the water for dinner at Pipi’s Mexican Restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was great. We even had three guys senate us with their music. On the way home it started to rain. While we have been here the weather has been really good, not as hot as normal for this time of the year. I didn’t think we would have a sunset this evening but was still able to view it. Not as good as the nights before. After the sunset we played another game of SOB which I won. Thank you God for another wonderful day with family. It all comes to an end tomorrow as we all will be heading for home.

Fifty one years ago Cheri and I stated a life together. It has been good and we have three children, Kari, Nikki, and Darren. This morning we all went down to the beach where we had chairs, tables, and umbrellas all for a cost but the money spent could be used toward food, so it was a pretty good deal. I think everyone went into the water except for me. I decided to take a long walk on the El Malecon Boardwalk which runs for a couple of miles along the water. When I got back we ordered some lunch. After lunch Cece did the parasailing which she had never done before and thought it was fun. Then it was back home to rest for a while. After Wyatt got up from his nap we headed over to Chris and Cheryl’s for some pool time and some Chinese food. We got back home about 45 minutes before the sunset. After the sunset we played a game of S0B which Nikki won. It was so hot in our bedroom last night that Cheri and I couldn’t get a good night’s sleep. So this evening we set the fan in the door way to blow the air into the bedroom to see if it would be cooler. Thank you God for another day with family.

I slept in until 7:00 am local time as Cheri and I didn’t have a good night, hot with no air conditioning. We were told the air conditioning in our room won’t be fixed until Monday. It was a busy day for all of us as we were celebrating Wyatt’s birthday today which is really tomorrow. Cheri and Nikki were busy making more bean dip, guacamole, salsa, and cooking the beans. Darren and I went to the local shop to get more water and ice. Plus a stop to get fresh made tortillas. Coz was busy getting the grill ready to grill the fajita beef and chicken. I removed the fajita meat from the marinate which it has be in for the last few days and got it ready for Coz to grill. Then it was my job to cut it all up after Coz got it grilled. Wyatt’s other Grandpa and Grandma along with two friends arrived at 2:00 pm. Time to get the party on the rooftop patio ready. All the food was excellent and Wyatt got a lot of present to open. After everything was cleaned up several of us head to the pool to get cooled off. This evening we played a couple games of SOB which Nikki and Cece won. We also watch another pretty sunset but not as nice as last night.

First I want to wish my mother known as Grandma in our blogs a happy 97th birthday. Well it is another day in paradise. We took two Ubers downtown as we couldn’t all fit in one. Our first stop was the bank so Coz and I could do a money exchange. Then time walk along board walk along water. Then through many outdoor and indoor shops where Cheri bought ceramic number tiles for our house. Nikki and Cece also bought a few things. During all the shopping Brooke took Wyatt home so he could have a nap. Then we walk to The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We got a chance to go inside and see how beautiful it was. From there we walked back to the board walk to get cab home and decided to stop for some fish and shrimp tacos for lunch. After lunch Cheri and I took Uber back to the house and the rest went grocery shopping. When we got back it was visiting and napping time. Brooke took Wyatt over to Chris and Cheryl’s to spend the night with them. Around 7:00 pm we went out to eat at Ah Caramba which has very good food and a great view of the city and for a sunset. We checked out the view before we eat and then the sunset about the time we got done eating. After dinner Cheri and I went back to the house and the rest went out for a night on the town. Thank you God for a wonderful time with family.

I was up well before 4:00 am, I had looked at my watch wrong and thought it was much later than it was. We are having a hard time sleeping in the bed I thought was a queen is just a standard double bed. Around 6:00 am Brooke and Wyatt came up to the roof top where I was writing the blog. Wyatt was up early and told Brooke he wanted Grandpa (happy Grandpa). I made the coffee and Coz made breakfast for us. Around 10:00 am Brooke took Wyatt to school and the rest of us headed to the marina for a boat ride along the coast on Darren’s (used) new boat. Darren has bought it for an investment and has a guy that is going to run it for coast day trips and fishing trips. He still has to wait for permits but was able to take us as we are family. We saw some interesting sites that we couldn’t from shore. We went down several miles and then stopped at beach to play in the water and have lunch. We were going to go further down the coast but it was starting to look like a storm might be coming in so we headed back. As it turned out there wasn’t any storm but the water was pretty choppy so it was a good thing that we didn’t go any further. It was around 3:00 pm when we got home. We headed to the roof top pool for a drink, pool time, and visiting. We ordered in pizza for supper and then sat round waiting to see the sunset. We were all tired from being on the water and called it a night early. Thank you God for a fun and relaxing day with family.

I was up a little before 4:00 am local time. Neither Cheri nor I had a very good night’s sleep in a queen size bed where the mattress sags to the middle. The weather has been on the cloudy side which has made it cooler with the temp in the mid 80’s. We all left the house around 10:00 am to have breakfast downtown. Darren drove his car and also had Uber for the rest of us. After breakfast we walked to an import store that had all the things from the US that you can’t get in the grocery store here (all very expensive). Then Darren, Coz, Nikki, and Cece went grocery shopping at the local meat market while the rest of us took Uber back to the house. When they got back and they found out that they forgot a few things. So Darren, Nikki, and I made a trip to Wal-Mart and got the rest of the groceries and along with Wyatt’s birthday present which is a tricycle. When we got back Cheri and Nikki were busy in the kitchen making bean dip and guacamole and then later getting chicken ready for Cos to grill this evening. Then it was pool time for some us while Darren had to work. Then around 5:30 pm Coz and Darren got the grill going for the chicken. About half way through the grilling they ran out of propane and had to finish the cooking in the oven. We were going to eat on the patio deck but got a light rain that put a stop to that. After all the cleanup it was time to relax with a drink and wait for the sunset. Thank you God for a day with family.

Cheri has been a wake since midnight and I woke up at 2:30 am. So we got up both thinking about the trip. We had to be up by 3:00 am anyway in order to get to the airport on time. Well everything went well getting car into long term parking. The bag that we had packed with the stuff that Darren ordered for us to bring weighed 53 pounds and was about more than I could handle. We got off the tram at the wrong stop and had to carry the bag a long ways to get it checked in. We also checked our bags because we only had 50 minutes between fights and didn’t know how far we had to go to get to our next flight in Atlanta. As it turned out we would have been fine as our flight was early getting in and our flight out was late. We still got into Puerto Vallarta on time. We were outside waiting for Darren and Chris to come with two cars to pick us up. Coz, Nikki, and Cece came out a few minutes after we did from Milwaukee, good timing. It was about 1:30 pm local time when we arrived at Darren and Brooke’s Wyatt was very shy and took a while for him to warm up to us. It really helped when Cheri brought out a little truck that she bought for him. We visited for a while before Darren and Coz went for groceries. I took a nap while Cheri, Nikki, and Brooke visited and played with Wyatt. Later we all went up to the roof top pool and party area where Coz gilled up hamburgers and hotdogs for supper. After we got things cleaned up from supper it was pool and visiting time for us. Cheri and I finally gave up around 9:30 pm. Thank you God for a safe trip and time with family.

I thought that I would sleep in this morning but I was still up at 5:00 am. I didn’t plan any work away from home today so I could help Cheri with the final packing. I did go out and trim the mum plants as the blooms have gone by. I also filled the bird feeder, cleaned out the truck box, made a trip to the bank, and printed our boarding passes. Cheri was busy with the packing plus all the small items and continued to check her list. I hope the bags don’t explode as they are really full. Our neighbor Jean came over for a visit and is going to pick our mail while we are gone. At 3:30 pm we went over to Mike and Kathy’s for a visit as they are also leaving in the morning for New York for the summer. We had leftovers for supper and then an evening of TV. Thank you God for getting us ready for the trip.

Happy Father Day to all the fathers. I got text and e-mails from all the kids which made my day. Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor Randy’s message today was titled “A Dad that Wins!” from Acts 4:24-31. Our Sunday school lesson was from 2 Samuel 5:9-12 and 6:12-19. After Sunday school class there were a lot of good byes as there are many of the class that are traveling this week and some for the summer. This afternoon it was getting more things ready for our Mexico trip. We men think all we have to do is throw a few things in a bag and we are ready to go, but for women it is a long list of different things that has to be done. Anyway we are a lot closer to being ready to go. Later this afternoon we settled in to watch some movies and TV shows. Yep there was even some napping. We also got more rain this afternoon, checked the gauge and we received another ¼ inch. Thank you God for time spent with you today.

Normally Cheri and I leave the house around 7:00 am for breakfast. Well this morning when I opened the door to the bedroom it was still dark. Cheri was sleeping in and it woke her up when I opened the door. Long story short it was 8:00 am when we left for breakfast. After breakfast we made a stop at Wal-Mart to pick up groceries for Grandma and then dropped them off. After taking Cheri home I went back to Publix’s to get Grandma some chicken noodle soup and the checked out the leak in her roof. I really did find anything that might had caused the leak. But did find a screw where the caulking was gone. I caulked that and now it is a wait and see. When I got home Cheri was busy packing for our trip to Mexico. Cheri had me try on some new shorts I got today for the trip. Later we settled in and watch the Amazon series Goliath. We had watch on episode a couple of days ago and watched the other seven this afternoon and evening. We had a couple of ribeye steaks for supper along with a baked potatoes. We did get a little rain later in the afternoon. Thank you God for a relaxing day.

I left the house at 6:10 am to have breakfast and Bible study with my Accountability Group in Dade City. We had a good study from Acts chapter 23. I headed to Tampa Bay country from breakfast so I could get an early start on the roof repair I started yesterday before it got too hot. It was still hot and drank three bottles of water while I was there. On the way home I stopped at Lowe’s to check out prices on material I will need for the generator transfer switch I will be installing next month. I was still home by 11:30 am. Cheri was busy with laundry and on a video call with Darren trying to get the tee-shirts straightened out. The tee-shirts he ordered came with the wrong color ink on the lettering. He is trying to get them reprinted and delivered here by Monday so we can bring them with us on Tuesday. This afternoon Cheri and I went to the 1:00 pm movie to see Oceans Eight. It was a pretty good movie but slow at times. I would give it a rating of 6 out of 10. Then we drove through a very hard rain to Lakeland to celebrate my 75th birthday. We eat at Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille and had the French Quarter Pork Tenderloin. We always have the same thing as it is always so good. We were back home by 6:00 pm and check the rain gauge and received another ¾ inch. Thank you God for a good day.

Cheri and I both headed out at the same time this morning. Cheri for a haircut and me to work over in Tampa Bay country. I had three 4 foot florescent light fixtures to change out to new LED fixtures. Then to repair a couple bathroom roof vents to keep the mud dabbers from getting to build nest. Then I started a roof repair on a lanai. I didn’t have enough sealer with me so I will have to go back tomorrow to finish. Actually being on a roof when the temp is in the 90’s with humidity isn’t the best place to be. I also stopped by Bob and Ida Mae’s to see how Bob was doing and seems to be better. On the way home I stopped to check out another job about building some wooden stairs but no one was home. Stopped at Lowe’s to get the sealer I need for tomorrow. I was home by 3:00 pm, nice to be home earlier. After I showered I went over to see Mike (next door neighbor), they are leaving to go north for a few months and wanted show me where his generator was in case I needed to use it this summer. Cheri fixed us hamburgers along with some spinach for supper. Cheri was also busy doing the laundry and packing the big duffle bag of things that Darren and Brooke ordered to have us bring to them on our trip to Mexico. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

The first thing I did today was to clean out the truck bed. I removed everything and vacuumed it out along with the cab. Next I cleaned up the shop area. I still have to restock the truck and my tool totes. I ran out of time and had to get ready as Cheri and I left at 10:30 am to help with our 12:00 pm Sunday school fish fry and potluck that was at a rec building on King Lake. Cheri helped set up in the Rec building and I helped batter the fish. There were 30 of us for dinner. The rec building was a mile and a half on a dirt road from the main highway. So on the way home we took the car through the car wash. When we got home I made a few calls for work and then went to see a couple here in our park that wants me to install a transfer switch for the generator they just purchased. So we checked some switches on line and now he wants me to get him a list of materials he needs to get. It will be after we get back from Mexico before I will have time to do the install. Last week I ordered a new Life Link unit for Grandma as the old one was reliable any longer. It came this afternoon so Cheri and I went over to install and test it out. It was after 6:00 pm when we got done and decided to stop at Jersey Mike’s for a sandwich to take home for supper along with some leftover cherry cobbler. It was after 7:00 pm when we settled for an evening of TV. Thank you God for the time spent with our Sunday school class.

I was out at 7:30 am getting the truck loaded for the closest project today. It took over an hour to get the truck loaded as there was so much I need to take for the project. Things went well and finished the project at 5:30 pm and was 6:15 pm when I got home. As soon as I got the truck unloaded I headed for the shower. The good thing about work today was in was inside most of the time and had air conditioning and a ceiling fan to keep me cool. Cheri finished the dragon fly quilt today. I will post pictures tomorrow. Cheri fixed us lasagna and Texas garlic toast for supper. It was after 7:30 pm when we were ready to settle in for an evening of TV.

It was a busy day for me here at home prebuilding the closet wall that I will be installing tomorrow. It was 91 degrees out with high humidity and I had to do most of my work out in the sun. For the most part things went well although I had a little trouble getting my brain wrapped around on how I was going to do the frame so it would fit in the corner. I also had to put everything away so a rain shower could pass by. I had to make two different trips to Lowe’s for additional materials. I think I am ready to take everything over to Tampa Bay country and do the install. Along with all the work today I was able to get a haircut. Cheri was once again working on the dragon fly quit project. She said that it would be finished tomorrow. We had leftover brat and beans for supper along with a cherry cobbler that Cheri made this afternoon. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

Grandma has been having some stomach problems the last few days and didn’t want to go to church today. Cheri was busy this morning getting the Sunday school lunch together as it was our turn along with one other person to provide the lunch. After Sunday school we stopped to check on Grandma and she was feeling better. This afternoon I settled in to watch the NASCAR race and found it was in a rain delay. So Cheri and I watched a couple of movies that we had recorded. Finally the race started and watched it until it ended with rain so it was a shorten race. We watched a couple more movies and had our usual Sunday night pizza for supper. No rain today but was really hot in the 90’s. Thank you God for our time spent with you today.

Cheri and I left the house at 7:00 am to have breakfast at the Sunrise Eatery, something that has been an every Saturday thing. We didn’t get linger very long as I had to pick up Dick Balzer at 8:30 am as we were having a work day along with three other guys from our Sunday school class at Rick and Gloria Thrash. With Rick’s medical conditions isn’t able to do any of the yard work. Things went well and were done by 1:00 pm. This afternoon I made a trip to Lowe’s to get the materials I need to start the closet project I will be working on Monday. When I got home I got a call from our neighbor wanting me to come over and help install a new microwave. All he really needed was someone to help left it into place so he could get the bolts in. I was really dirty from the yard work and was ready for a good hot shower. I had a coupon for a free meal at Golden Corel so Cheri and I went out for supper, always eat too much when I go there and today was no different. We stopped by Larry and Denise’s place to check it out and everything looked ok. Then we went out to Ron and Sandy’s to pick up a couple of LP tanks that they no long needed. It was good as we didn’t have a standby tank for our grill. Cheri had made a trip to the grocery store to get groceries for Grandma so we also dropped them off before coming home. Cheri worked on the dragon fly project and all that is left to do is the binding. I think she will be glad to have it done as it has been a time consuming project. This evening Cheri was busy in the kitchen preparing a breakfast casserole for our Sunday school class tomorrow. There was rain all around the area today but none here. It was another 90 degree plus day. Thank you God for a good day.

Yep it is Friday and that means breakfast and Bible study with my account ability group in Dade City. It was around 8:15 am when I got home. Time to get cleaned up and face another day’s work. Cheri had the Friday laundry going and planned on working on the dragon fly project. We headed out the door at 8:45 am to go over to Rick and Janis’s (Rick and I are cousins). Rick wanted me to measure the windows so he can get some plywood panels for hurricane protection. I also will be installing a deadbolt and new weather stripping on the bottom of their front door. The rest of the morning was spent working up the plans on how I was going to build the corner closet for a client over in Tampa Bay country. I got a call that the door I had pre-hung was ready to pick up which was good as I had a job over in Tampa Bay country cleaning out bathroom vents that mud daubers had built nest in. I also sprayed around the house and the bathroom vents. I will have to go back and install a finer screen over the vents so the mud dauber can’t get in. On the way home it started rain which met the door I picked up got wet on the trip home. I got it unloaded and in the sun room so it can dry out. It was near 4:00 pm and I was done for the day. Cheri fixed us brats and beans for supper. Then later while we were watching TV we made a couple of butter finger shakes. I checked the rain gauge and we received just under half inch. Thank you God for the day you blessed us with.

We didn’t have any rain today but was really hot with high humidity. Cheri had the laundry going early along with her usual Thursday house work. Then it was working in the sewing room. I headed out to Tampa Bay country to install the ceiling fan that I tried to do yesterday. She finally had all the parts so I finished with it and returned the ladder I used to the neighbor. Another one of her neighbors stopped me to fix a pantry door which was out of adjustment. I picked up the closet door that I will be using for the closet install and dropped it off at San Antonio’s lumber yard to have it prehung in a frame for me. I was going to do it myself but it was cheaper to have them do it for me and will be ready to pick up tomorrow. I stopped by Lowe’s to pick up the parts I needed to repair Grandma’s toilet. I had to install a new water shut off valve under the toilet and a new fill valve in the toilet. I also did some work on the shed door as it was hitting on the ramp to the door opening making it hard to open. I also worked on her Life Link dialer and did some reprograming. Dawn the lady that is from Care’s was there and asked me to have Cheri come over so they could talk about getting some additional help with personal care for Grandma. It was near 4:00 pm when we got home. Cheri fixed us baked pork chops with salad for supper. The rest of the evening was spent in front of the TV with me doing some napping. Thank you God for being with us and guiding us today.

Things didn’t go as planned for me today. I left at 8:15 am to work over in Tampa Bay country. My first stop was to finish the fan project I started Monday. She couldn’t get a down pipe to fit the fan she has so she bought a new fan and down pipe. Well when I got to her place she couldn’t find the down pipe as it wasn’t in the car. She thinks that she left it in the shopping cart at Home Depot. So now I have to go back tomorrow to finish the project. I went and check out another project of building a small closet in the corner of the den. From there I went over to Bob and Ida Mae’s to do some more work for them. Some of the outside lights weren’t working so I started checking them out when it started to rain so that was the end of that project for today. Bob is going to have me install some under the counter lights in the kitchen when he gets them. I did change out an electric outlet so there will be a place to plug in the light transformer. Because of the rain I couldn’t do anything more for Bob and Ida Mae so I headed home for lunch. After lunch I went back to the ladies place where I changed the light tube the other day which didn’t fix the problem. I went to Lowe’s and got a new LED light and installed it for her, turned out to be a bigger job than I thought it would be. It was after 3:00 pm when I got home. I was going to go over to Grandma’s to do some work but was too tired and wanted to have a hot shower and relax. Cheri did her Wednesday house work and then worked in the sewing room. We had rain on and off this afternoon and received just over ¼ inch. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

I was slow about getting around this morning as I had a doctor’s appointment at the VA at 10:45 am. Cheri planned on going with me this morning so she was busy early on her normal Tuesday housework and my job was to stay out of her way. We were going to go to Bush Gardens after my appointment but it was already 81 degrees at 8:00 am and was to get up into the mid 90’s plus high humidity. So decided that we would just come back home. On the way to the appointment the car service light came on so we decided to have the car serviced this afternoon. My appointment went well and the c-scan showed that there hasn’t been any growth in the Histoplasmosis (an infection caused by a fungus) in my lung which is very good news. My next c-scan will be in six months. It was near noon when we got to Bob Evans for lunch. After lunch I called the Honda service department to see about getting the car in for service. I got an appointment for 1:15 pm and dropped Cheri off at the shopping center while I waited for the car. It took over two hours before it was done. It was near 4:00 pm when we arrived home. I did go out and clean out the truck and got things ready for work tomorrow. We had leftovers for supper and settled in for an evening of TV. Thank you God for the good report today.

I left at 8:20 am to work over in Tampa Bay Country today. My first appointment was to check on building an attic door in the garage. Plan on doing that the first week in July. My next stop was to lower a ceiling fan on the lanai. The ceiling was 12 feet high and the fan was only a foot from the ceiling. I got the fan down and went to install the extension pipe and it was the wrong size diameter. So she is going to get the right size and I will finish the project on Wednesday. From there I went over to Bob and Ida Mae’s to move some furniture out to the garage and some into the house from the garage. Then the three of us went to Wesley Chapel for lunch at Burger King. When we got back Bob had a project for me at one of his clients to install two new high rise toilets. After all was said and done it was a little past 5:00 pm when I got home. It was a very hot and super humid day, so I was really sweaty and ready for the hot shower. Cheri did her usual Monday house work and then worked on her dragon fly project. It was an evening of TV for Cheri and napping for me. No rain today. God thank you for a good day.

What a beautiful morning it was, lots of sun and no clouds. Grandma went to church with us this morning. Church and Sunday school were both good. When we dropped Grandma off at home I checked her toilet and found that the fill valve isn’t working the way it should and I will be putting in a new one this week. I also check the storage shed door and will have to do some repair to it. This afternoon Cheri and I settled in to relax, Cheri with her novel and me with the NASCAR race. Late this afternoon the sun was gone and the clouds moved in and we received a very hard rain, received another inch. The good thing was it quit just before we left to have a fellowship dinner at church followed by the Lords Supper. It was a good evening visiting and getting to know more church friends. It was around 7:30 pm when we got home. Thank you God for spending time with you and friends.

Cheri and I went for breakfast at Sunrise Eatery at 7:30 am. On the way home we made a stop at Winn Dixie to pick up some grapes for a grape salad Cheri is going to fix for dinner at church Sunday evening. We volunteered to help with a memorial lunch at church and had to be there at 9:30 am to help get things set up. Cheri made a potatoes salad for the lunch. After it was over I heard that we had around 120 for lunch. It was around 1:30 pm when we got everything cleaned up. Later this afternoon I had a person here in the park that was having trouble with a florescent light in her office that wasn’t working. I ended up going to Lowe’s for a new light tube. It still didn’t want to work but with some work with the light tube I got it working. Not sure if I really fixed anything or not. I also stopped at a place where I had done some roof repair last week and wanted to see if it was dry, good news with all the rain we have had in the last few days everything was dry. I also got a call to check out putting an attic stairs in the garage for access to the attic storage. While I was out and about Cheri relaxed reading her novel. We had some more leftovers for supper and then an evening of TV. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

Another month gone, feel like I am on a slippery slope as old age creeps up on me or should say I have arrived (well preserved). Cheri was busy with her laundry and working in her sewing room. I left early for my Accountability Group breakfast and Bible study. I had a good day working over in Tampa Bay Country. I got the two toilets installed for Bob along with repairing two bathroom fans and installing two cabinet rollouts. My last stop was to reinstall the toilet tank that I rebuilt last evening. I was back home by 4:30 pm which was nice. We didn’t have any rain here today but did have rain where I was working. We had leftovers for supper. It was another evening of TV and finally got caught up on all of the shows we had recorded. Thank you God for a good day.

We got more rain today mixed with some sun, but when it did rain it really came down. I checked the gauge and we received another inch. Cheri had a busy day with laundry, house work, and taking Grandma for her 10:00 am doctor’s appointment. She also got groceries for Grandma along with a few things for us. I headed out at 8:15 am to work over in Tampa Bay Country. My first stop was to fix a water leak in the kitchen sink and fix a slow draining sink in the bathroom. The leak from the kitchen sink turned out to be a leaking garbage disposal. They are going to get a new one and I will go back to install it next week. My next stop was to clean a dryer vent. It went up inside the wall into the attic and then out through the roof. I used a leave blower to clean it out and then went up on the roof to clean a blocked screen over the outlet. My next stop was to change a broken electrical receptacle and a GFI outlet. I had to make a quick trip to Wesley Chapel to get the new GFI. She also had a toilet that wouldn’t stop running so I took it apart and brought the tank home so I could get the parts and rebuild it this evening. My next stop was at Bob Conover’s to remove a ceiling fan in the bathroom, Bob thinks it needs to be changed out but I found that the flapper in it was stuck and never had worked from when it was new. He also wanted me to change two toilets from the standard to the high rise. Well when I went put in the new one the wax ring wasn’t thick enough and need to get the extra thick ones. So on the way home I stopped at Lowe’s and got all the parts I needed for the toilets. Cheri fixed us roast beef, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes with gravy, and cornbread for supper. Thank you God for being with us today.
