I started a new work
project at 9:00 am installing a new laminate floor. I had bought some new knee
pads for the project and within an hour the straps had broken. So it was back
to the old knee pads. It was just about more than I could handle, might be time
to quit doing flooring. I did take a half hour break and come home for lunch.
It is nice that I am working here in the park and can come home for lunch and
tools I might have forgotten to take with me. Cheri made a trip to the bank and
then spent most of the day in her sewing room. Cheri put a roast in the
crockpot to have for supper along with carrots, onions, and potatoes. She makes
the gravy out of the drippings which is always good. It was a normal evening of
TV, Cheri watching and me napping. I was just too tired to watch any TV and
finally went to bed. Thank you God for being with us today.

Grandma went to church
with us this morning. Pastor Randy’s message was “Hell, Our Greatest Motivation”
from Luke 16:19-31. Our Sunday school lesson was “Serves” from Mark 10:35-45
Jesus demonstrated humble service by paying the ransom for our sin. We have our
Sunday school class in an old house on the church property and had a meeting
after Sunday school to see about putting in a new floor in the kitchen which I will
be doing in about three weeks. When I got home I received a call from a couple
here in our park and said that their toilet was leaking and wanted me to fix
it. So I went over and put a new flapper in and that took care of the problem.
It only took a few minutes and I was done. Later this afternoon Cheri and I
went to visit church friends Art and Ruby. Art has been having some health
issues and hasn’t been to Sunday school for some time. We had a good visit and
didn’t get home until after 6:00 pm. We had our usual Sunday night pizza for
supper. The rest of the evening was spent watching the NASCAR race. Cheri
watched some but spent most of the time reading. Thank you God for time spent
with you and good friends.

Cheri and I were at the
Hole and One donut shop before 7:00 am this morning. We did have our usual
Saturday morning breakfast of an egg, cheese, bacon, on a croissant which we
split with each other. Plus a double chocolate donut and then we each have a glazed
cinnamon roll along with coffee. Yep this is our usual Saturday morning
breakfast. Today I worked on removing the old lights in front of the house and
installing new rope lights. I also got the shop cleaned up, built a rack for
all the pipe I have, and got the truck loaded for a floor project I will be
starting on Monday. Cheri was busy working in her sewing room on a new wall
hanging project. It got up into the 80’s today but had a little breeze which
made it nice for working outside. It was a normal evening of TV and then going
outside to check out the new lights. They are dimmable and I have them as dim
as they will go and are still too bright for my liking. I guess I will just
have to get use to them. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I was out the door at 6:10
am heading to Dade City for my accountability group Bible study and breakfast.
Today we studied the first part of Ephesians chapter four. Cheri was busy with
laundry and ironing plus she had a haircut today. I had a 9:30 am appointment
to move a dining room light fixture so it would be centered over the dining
room table. I had to make three trips into the attic plus put in a new
electrical box and do a rewire. Plus I installed two dimmer switches and
installed new parts in the bathroom sink faucet. Things went well and was back
home by 2:00 pm. This evening we went downtown to get lobster rolls from the
food truck. We just heard about the lobster truck a couple of weeks ago and it
was in town this evening and decided to try it out. We got the lobster rolls
and brought them home so we could heat the lobster up and put it in melted
butter. We also got some lobster bisque which was ok but had something added
that I didn’t really care for. The evening was spent watching TV. Thank you God
for being with us and guiding us today.

At 9:00 am I headed over
to Mike and Kathy’s to measure up their living room and dining room as they are
going to remove the carpeting and have laminate flooring installed. I will be doing
the installation this summer while they are up north. At 9:30 am the four of us
headed down to Plant City to Lumber Liquidators to check out the flooring. They
found something they liked and got it order and will be here in a couple of
weeks. From there we went downtown Plant City to Southern Hospitality which is
a large furniture and craft store. Mike and Kathy had never been there before.
On the way home we stopped at Johnson Sausage for lunch. After we got home
Cheri continued with the laundry and I headed over to Lowe’s for materials for
tomorrow work. This evening we met Mike & Pam and Ron & Sandy at Culver’s
for supper. We had a good visit and was back home by 7:00 pm. We watched
another episode of The Life of Jesus, good and interesting. Thank you God for a
blessed day and time with friends.

I had a 9:00 am
appointment to remove three old ceiling fans and install three new ones. It
took me until 1:30 pm before I got home for a late lunch. Cheri was busy with
her Wednesday house work. I took the truck through the car wash as it was
pretty duty from all the pollen that has been falling. Cheri and I spent the
rest of the afternoon watching another episode of the Life of Jesus along with
a couple other shows, yes there was also some napping. We had left over macaroni
and cheese along with a piece of toast and cookies for supper. We were invited
over to Mike and Kathy’s this evening to visit and play Aggravation. We played
four games and Mike and I won three of them. Thank you God for good friends and
guiding us through another day.

Cheri and I were out the
door at 9:00 am as I had a follow up eye appointment at 10:00 am. I had a good checkup
and plan on having the other eye done. When we got back to Zephyrhills we made
a stop at the hospital to see Rick. He went in Saturday night with a bout of pneumonia.
It looks like he will be able to go home today, good news. It was a little
after noon when we left the hospital and needed to get groceries so we stopped
at Ruby Tuesday’s for lunch. It has been about four years since we have been
there. It seems like we never have a good meal there and today was no
different, need to cross this place off our list. After we got home and things
put away we decided to rest for a while. Well it wasn’t long before Mike came
over as he needed some help to mount their TV on the wall. When I got home I
decided to work in the shop for a while and get some tools in the truck for
work tomorrow. Cheri took a much needed nap as she put in a bad night last
night. Because we were out for lunch today Cheri fixed us an egg sandwich for
supper. We continued watching the Life of Jesus, still have five more episodes
to watch. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I still haven’t got back
to work as I am still on light duty with my eye. I did repair one of Cheri’s
curling irons, installed a new fan motor in our bathroom exhaust fan. Later I
made a trip to Lowe’s for some electrical materials as I am working on putting
an electrical out let near the eaves of the carport. I had some solar rope
lights that aren’t working and decided to install some new electric rope lights
and needed an outlet to plug them in. Cheri was busy with her Monday house work
and making a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Later this afternoon I had a 3:15
pm appointment in Wesley Chapel to have the car serviced. Cheri went along with
me and I dropped her off to do some shopping while I got the car serviced. It
was after 5:00 pm before the car was done. So on the way home we stopped at Applebee’s
for supper. It was near 7:00 pm when we got home to settle in for an evening of
TV. We stated watching an eight episode series on the life of Jesus. Thank you
God for a safe and productive day.

Jesus has risen!
I pray that everyone had a blessed Easter and know the true meaning of the day.
Grandma went to church with us today. We didn’t have Sunday school as many were
going to be with family and friends. We along with Grandma were invited over to
Dick and Linda’s for dinner and fellowship time. Jan came here and rode over to
Dick and Linda’s with us. There were 13 of us for dinner. We had a wonderful
meal and Dick entrained us by playing the organ. It was around 5:00 pm when we
got back home. Cheri and I settled for an evening of TV and got caught up on
all the shows we have recorded, time to search for some movies. It will be
interesting to see what Dish has to offer in the line of movies. Thank you God
for a blessed day being with family and friends.

It must be
Saturday because Cheri and I headed out at 7:15 am for the Hole in One donut
shop. After breakfast we stopped over at Larry and Denise’s to check out the thermostat
as it wasn’t on line. I did a reset and then called Larry and it is now working
again. We had several different plans for the day. I wanted to take the car in
for an oil change but couldn’t get an appointment until Monday. When I left the
house Cheri was busy doing the ironing. I went to a home repair shop and bought
a new fan motor for our bathroom exhaust fan. Then a stop at Harbor Freight for
new blades for my undercut saw. My last stop was Lowe’s to get some salt for
the water softener. After I got home I put a few things in the truck and then
went to a client’s house to cut off the top part of an entertainment center. The
new bigger TV wouldn’t fit in the entertainment center. By cutting off the top
part she could use the bottom part for the new TV to sit on. It turned out to
be a bigger job than I thought it would be, didn’t get done until 3:00 pm. After
a shower and getting cleaned up Cheri fixed supper. It was a normal evening of
TV with me doing more napping then watching. Thank you God for a blessed day.

It was good to be
back at the Friday morning breakfast and accountability group Bible study. I
had missed last Friday because of an early morning eye appointment. My eye
seems to be healing ok, just have to remember to put the drops in. Cheri wanted
to go for lunch in Dade City today for fresh lobster roll and crab bisque soup
(don’t remember the name of the place). Well when we got there we found the
place locked with a sign that they had the flu and was closed for the day. So
we skipped lunch and headed to Brandon to shop at Old Time Pottery. Cheri has
been wanting new living room lamps so today was the day to shop for them. She
found some she liked at Old Time Pottery. We knew there was a big storm with
wind coming through around 2:00 pm so we headed for home. But made a stop in
Zephyrhills at a new pizza place called Commandough’s Pizza. The pizza was
pretty good and probably will go back again sometime. It was just starting to
rain when we left the pizza place. The rest of the day was spent reading,
napping, and watching TV. We didn’t have any supper because of the late
afternoon pizza but did have some snacks. I checked the rain gauge and received
only ¾ inch. Around 8:00 pm I got a call from Jim Wilson who was having trouble
with a renters lights that had went out. He wanted me to come over and see if I
could find out what the problem was. When I got there I did some voltage
checks. I found one leg had low voltage but everything was working. He is going
to wait and see what happens and will call me if it goes out again. Thank you
God for time spent with you and safe travels today.

Cheri was sick
during the night with a bad migraine headache and not feeling good this
morning. It has been many years since she has had bad one. I am doing well with
my eye. I took Grandma for her heart doctor’s appointment this morning, things
went well and was back home by 11:00 am. Cheri was busy doing the Thursday
laundry and then took it easy the rest of the day reading and watching TV. I
was pretty bored today not being able to do any work. I did go over to a client’s
home today to let them know when I would be able to start installing their new
floor. Cheri fixed us chipped beef and scrambled eggs on toast for supper. It
was another evening of TV, me still learning how to fine my way around the new
Dish service. We called Nikki this evening and had a good visit with her. Thank
you God for a blessed day.

It was another
bad night as I had the protective cover over my eye and could only sleep on my
right side. I am side lined as far as work goes I can only lift 20 pounds and
not supposed to bend over beyond my waist. I did do some internet work this
morning and then got the old direct TV equipment boxed and ready to send back.
I also got the wiring behind the kitchen TV dressed up. Cheri was busy with her
Wednesday house work. We left the house at 2:30 pm for my follow up appointment
at the VA in Tampa. After my appointment we stopped at Bob Evan’s for supper.
It was near 6:00 pm when we got home. I have five different eye drops that I
need to put in my eye, one every two hours, one twice a day, one once a day,
and two four times a day. I think that is enough to keep me confused for the
next week. I don’t see the doctor until next Tuesday. My checkup was good and
the doctor said that I was better than most people after the surgery. We are
now watching TV from our new provider and am having trouble figuring out the
use of the remote which is different than the Direct TV. Thank you God for safe
travels and a good doctor’s report.

I didn’t sleep
very well last night and was up at 3:30 am. I guess I was worried about my cataract
surgery today. I had to be at the surgery center in Tampa at 6:30 am. So we
left at 5:15 am because you never know what the traffic will be like. The
traffic moved well and we arrived at 6:00 am. It is kind of crazy that from the
time we left house and got back it was seven hours all for a fifteen minute
surgery. Cheri and I were both tired when we got home from being up early and under
some stress. We spent the afternoon napping and watching TV. Our neighbor Jean
did come over for a visit so I headed to the bedroom where I took a two hour
nap. Cheri fixed us leftovers for supper and then more TV. We finished watching
the shows on the old DVR and is now ready to send back to Direct TV. Thank you
God for guiding us through another day and safe travels.

I headed out for
a 9:00 am appointment here in Zephyrhills to adjust an attic fan thermostat. My
next stop was to check out a stuck blind. I did get the blind working but it
has a broken gear and will have to be replace. When I got home I cleaned
everything out of the truck box so I could make a trip to the recycle center
with the old stove top and oven along with a few things I had here. From there
I went and had a front end alignment done on the truck. I had to wait a while
to have it done but it needed it because of the new struts I installed a while
back. It was around 3:00 pm when I got home. Cheri had made a trip to the post
office to mail out some packages that she has needed to do for a few days. This
evening we met Skip and Joy at Culver’s for supper. It is the last time we will
see them as they are leaving in the morning to head north for the summer. I was
near 7:00 pm when we got home to watch some more TV before calling it a night.
Thank you God for a blessed day.

Grandma went to
church with us today. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “How Desperate Are You”
from the book of Luke 5:17-26. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Commands”
from the book of Mark 9:14-27. Both were very good. When we dropped Grandma off,
she said that she was having trouble with the TV picture and the caption. I did
a reboot on the cable box and that seem to fix everything. Cheri and I spent
the rest of the day in front of the TV trying to get all the shows we have
recorded on the old Direct TV watched as I plan on having it disconnected
tomorrow. We had our usual Sunday evening meal of pizza and more TV. Around 9:00
pm it started raining and was coming down pretty hard and was still raining
when we went to sleep. Checked the rain gauge and received only a ½ inch. Thank
you God for a blessed day with you and friends.

Cheri and I were
a little slower getting around this morning as it was after 7:30 am when we arrived
at the Hole in One donut shop. It is good for us to spend a little time
together where it just the two of us out and about. Cheri took the day off and
enjoyed herself reading and watching more of the movies that is recorded on the
old Direct TV DVR which we have to send back. I was back to work on the oven
install. I had to rebuild the oven cabinet so the new oven would fit. It was
2:30 pm when I got done and decided I didn’t need to do any more work today. I
did stop on the way home to check out another project of cutting off the top
half an entertainment center. I am not sure how it would come out but told her
I would try. When I got home I headed for the shower as I was hot and dirty. I
hadn’t stopped for lunch and wasn’t that hungry, must have been from the sugar
high I got this morning. We settled in and watched a couple of shows before
Cheri warmed up leftover casserole which tasted better today. The rest of the
evening was spent watching TV. Thank you God for a productive day.

I wasn’t able to
go for my accountability group breakfast and Bible study this morning as I had
to leave the house at 7:15 am for a doctor’s appointment at the VA in Tampa. It
was a pre-op appointment to have a cataract removed on Tuesday. It was around
11:00 am when I got back home. I had a hard time seeing to drive as they put so
many different drops in my eyes. After lunch and my eyes cleared up I headed
back to installing the new stove top I was working on yesterday. I managed to
get the new six inch vent installed, had to relocate the vent opening through
the floor. I was told that everything would fit without any changes but you
know that never happens. After the stove top was done I removed the old oven
and once again was told that the new one was an exact fit, no so it was three
inches higher than the old one. It was near 4:00 pm and decide to quit for the
day as it was going to take a while to rebuild the cabinet for the new oven to
fit. Cheri was busy today with the Friday laundry, trip to the bank, and grocery
store. She also found a new recipe for a casserole and made it for supper. It
was pretty good but needed some additional spices for a better taste. Cheri
also spent some time watching some of the movies that she had recorded on the
old DVR. Thank you God for a good appointment and guiding through the day.

Cheri was busy
with laundry and her usual Thursday house work. She also made a batch of chocolate
chip cookies. I was back in Tampa Bay country to finish the wall project as all
I had to do was fill nail holes and some caulking. I was back home by noon for
lunch with Cheri. After lunch I went over to Grandma’s to fix her computer. Not
sure what the problem was but was locked up. I down powered it and brought it
back up and everything was ok. My next stop was to install a new stove top
which went ok until it was time to install the vent. The old vent was 5 inch
and couldn’t find any adapters to convert from 5 inch to 6 inch. By this time
it was 4:00 pm and had to quit for the day as we are having Mike and Kathy over
to play cards this evening. We showed Mike and Kathy how to play SOB and Cheri
won both games we play. As you can see she has extended her winning ways.

I worked from
home for a while this morning cutting the face boards and getting them sanded
for the wall opening project. So it was around 10:15 am when I arrived at the
project site. Thing went pretty good and got everything done except for caulking
and filling the nail holes. I would have finished today but they had to leave
at 3:00 pm for a doctor’s appointment. So tomorrow I will finish the project.
Cheri took Grandma for her doctor’s appointment. She was seeing a new primary
doctor and Cheri said that he was very nice and wrote everything down for
Grandma which helped Cheri. Cheri fixed us spaghetti along with Texas toast for
supper. This evening we were invited over to Larry and Denis’s to play Hand,
Knee, and Foot. Cheri and Denise won both games by a large margin. It is the
last time for us to be together as they are leaving for home Friday morning. Thank
you God for guiding us through another day. Tomorrow I will post pictures of

We had rain that
started early this morning but did stop around 9:00 am. I never did check the
rain gauge to see how much we got, probably around ½ inch. I started a new
project today over in Tampa Bay country opening a wall between the kitchen and
living room. It turned out to be a much bigger opening than I thought it was
going to be. I had a good day and got the rough opening done. On the way home I
stopped at Lowe’s to get the materials I need to finish the project. Cheri was
busy with her Tuesday housework. This evening Donna invited us along with ten
other friends for dinner as a thank you for all the help we have done for her. It
was 7:30 pm when we got home. We settled in to watch some more of the shows we
have recorded on the Direct TV DVR, a few more nights and we should be done
with Direct TV. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Our day didn’t go
exactly as we had planned but was still a good day. I had planned on going to
Tampa Bay country to start a new project today but that was put on hold. We had
Dish Network coming this morning to install the new TV provider. Cheri made a
trip to the bank and grocery store. I helped with some of the TV connections
because I had installed them and knew how they should be done. I also rake lawn
while they were doing their thing. I did get all the lawn done that I planned
on raking. I got seven more bags of leaves to set out for the trash. I will
have to hold some of them until Friday because they will only pick six at a
time. I got a call from Donna and she has invited us out for dinner tomorrow
evening. She also had me come over to her place to check out a leak around an exhaust
vent and a leak in the storage shed. The rest of the afternoon was spent trying
to get the new DVR set up to record our favorite shows. Mike and Kathy were
coming over this evening but Mike called and said that Kathy wasn’t feeling
good and wouldn’t be coming. So we settled in watching recorded shows on the
old Direct TV DVR. Thank you God for helping us through another day.

Grandma did go to
church with us this morning, good to have her going again. Pastor James
delivered the message today. Pastor Randy was at another church today. Our
Sunday school lesson today was from the Book of Mark 7:25-37. It shows how Jesus
breaks down walls to show compassion to all. We were back home by 12:30 pm. We
changed our clothes and then headed to Brandon to see the movie Unplanned. It
was an excellent movie and every young girl should be required to watch it. If
you get a chance to see it please do as there is a lesson here that we can pass
one to the young people. We were back home by 4:45 pm ready to settle in for an
evening of TV and our Sunday night pizza. We are still trying to get caught up
on TV shows we have recorded. Thank you God for a blessed day spending time

It was around 7:15 am when
we left for the Hole in One donut shop for our usual Saturday morning breakfast
of egg, bacon, cheese, on a croissant

cleaning the house roof off as it had a lot of small twigs on it from the tree
by the house. I also cleaned the rain gutters which was a big job as they hadn’t
been cleaned for some time. They were really full of leaves and got six bags of
leaves. It was noon when I got done. Cheri and Denise went the quilt shop in
Dade City this morning. At 1:00 pm Larry and Denise picked us up and we went to
Treasured Friends in Dade City as they were having their open house with lunch
for all their customers. From there we rode with Larry and Denise over to Tampa
Bay country where Larry had bought a recliner at an estate sale this morning
and needed to pick it up. It was around 3:00 pm when we got back home ready for
a relaxing afternoon of reading, watching TV, and napping. Cheri fixed us an
egg and sausage biscuit for supper along with a couple of cookies. Still trying
to get caught up on our Direct TV shows before it get disconnected, not doing
well as we keep falling asleep. Thank you God for guiding us through and

Due to sickness and health
issues there were only two of us for breakfast and Bible study this morning. We
studied the first chapter of Ephesians. It was a little past 8:00 am when I got
home. After shaving and getting cleaned up I headed out for work this morning
in the rain. It started raining around 5:00 am. I had to change some damaged
and old screens in a liana. The rain didn’t bother me as I was able to park
under the carport which made it nice for work. I was done by noon and home to
have lunch with Cheri. She was busy with the Friday laundry and working in her
sewing room. I was going to clean the twigs and leaves off the roof and clean
out the gutters but with the sun now out and the high humidity it was just too
hot for me. So we took the rest of the afternoon off trying to get caught up on
the TV shows we have recorded. This evening Larry and Denise came over to play

We had a good day. Cheri
doing the laundry and working in her sewing room. I finished the bathroom
project by noon and was home for lunch. This afternoon we made a decision to
change our TV provider from Direct TV to the Dish network. It took about an
hour on the phone with dish to get things set up and are coming Monday to do
the installation. The best part we will still have all the channels we have now
plus a few new ones and save sixty dollars a month. We have been with Direct TV
for fifteen years. At 3:00 pm we went over to Grandma’s as one of my cousins
was there to see Grandma and we hadn’t seen her for about fifteen years. She
had a lot of old pictures of dad when he was a boy long with pictures of great
grandpa and grandma. It was fun to see all pictures and a good visit. Later we
all went out for supper at Sunrise Eatery. We had a good meal with more
visiting. At 7:30 pm we said our good byes in the parking lot. It was close to
8:00 pm when we got home. Thank you God for guiding us through and the day and
being with family.

door was hard to open and close. I also did a cleaning of the door track which
was pretty dirty. With a trip to Lowe’s that took most of the morning. I
stopped and checked on a patio screen project that I plan on doing Friday. This
afternoon I went over to Tampa Bay country to install a dining room chandelier.
After I got it installed they decided it needs to be moved so it would be in
the middle of the dining room table. It only has to be moved 10 inches. But
will be a big job of cutting in a new electrical box, move the wiring, and
patching the old hole. Probably have to go in the attic to see how the old box
is installed. It was 4:00 pm when I got home and Cheri wasn’t home from Grandma’s
doctor appointment. Cheri was exhausted when she got home and not wanting to
fix supper so we had some soup along with a couple pieces of toast which was
fine with me. It was a normal evening of TV. Thank you God for blessed day.

Gay April-2-19

Cheri was busy with her
Tuesday house work, made a trip to the bank, along with many other things. I
was back to work on the bathroom project which is taking much longer then I
thought it would. I put on another coat of plaster, did chalking around the
shower surround, and got things ready to install the trim but the lady wants to
paint before I put on the trim. The bathroom exhaust fan was making a terrible
noise so I took it apart and decided to get a new motor for it which met a trip
to Lowe’s. I ended up getting two motors as she is having the same problem with
the fan in the master bathroom. Well the new fan motors turned the wrong
direction so I headed downtown to another place where I found the right motors.
I finally got them in and working. We also had a rain shower come through and
got my miter saw wet, not happy about that. It was 4:00 pm when we got home. This
evening Ron and Sandy had us come over to see their new camper and had many
questions on things that they should and not do with the camper. We went out to
Calver’s for supper and then back to their place for more camping information. Thank
you God for a blessed day with you and friends.

Gay April-1-19

Wow! Another month gone. I
feel like I am on a slippery slope as the time goes by so fast. Cheri was busy
with her Monday house work and then went out grocery shopping. I continued on
the bathroom project. I started by doing some plastering of the holes from the
old bath tub module and where the new shower head comes through the wall as I installed
it much higher. Then I spent time installing the new shower surround. Later
this afternoon I did some caulking and another coat of plaster. We had rain all
afternoon, nothing heavy just made it miserable going in and out of the house.
But we really do need the rain. I was done by 3:30 pm. I would like to get done
tomorrow but the plastering may make it run into another day. On the way home I
stopped and check out another project of installing a new counter top range and
a wall oven, plus replace three ceiling fans. After was said and done I was
home by 4:30 pm. Ready for a hot shower and a relaxing evening watching TV. For
supper we had homemade potato salad and hot dogs with chocolate cookies for
dessert. Thank you God for guiding us through another day. No April fools joke today.

Gay Mar-31-19

Grandma
didn’t go to church with us today as she is having a problem with her feet. We
did take a lady from our park with us today. It is the first time she has been
to our church. She seemed to enjoy the message and Sunday school. It was friend
day so Pastor Randy’s message was all about fiends. Our lesson in Sunday school
was from the book of Mark 6:7-13, 30-32. We were back home by 1:00 pm. The rest
of the afternoon was spent napping and watching TV. We did have our usual
Sunday evening meal of pizza. Thank you God for time spent with you and church
friends.
