It was 38 degrees this
morning. Still not feeling well. Being cold and not feeling well I couldn’t
make it to take Cheri out for breakfast this morning. Cheri went with me for my
10:30 am heart doctor appointment. I got a clean bill of health and no heart
problems. There is this new antique shop downtown and Cheri wanted to go so we
stop and checked it out. They had a lot of nice things but nothing I needed. It
was 11:30 am when we were done and was right beside a new restaurant called
J&L BBQ. So we decided to check it out and have lunch there. It was pretty
good, I had a few rib pieces and Cheri had a pulled pork sandwich. When we got
home we headed for the recliners to rest. I took a 2 hour nap while Cheri
watched a movie. I woke up when that was over and did watch a couple of shows
with her. Larry and Denise came over to visit and see how I was doing. Sure nice
of them to come and help us past the afternoon. I thought about playing a game
of cards but I don’t think I could hold the cards as my hands were hurting really
bad. Still waiting for the Prednisone to come in the mail. We got to looking
through some of the medicine that Grandma had and found some Prednisone and
took some of it before going to bed, hope it helps.

I didn’t get up until 5:30
am this morning. Not feeling good with all the pain in the shoulders and hands.
All I did today was some paper work to report a dog problem we have behind us.
They have five or six dogs that want to bark during the night for long periods
of time keeping us awake. I reported them back in November and things were
better for a while but now are just as bad as before. I had to take the paper
to the bank to be notarized before sending it in. The rest of my day was in the
recliner with heat on my hands and shoulders, napping, and watching TV. Cheri
was busy with laundry and her usual Thursday house work plus taking care of me.
Thank you God for blessing me with a wonderful lady to be my wife and soul mate who take
very good care of me.

I was pretty slow getting
around this morning still have a lot of pain in my shoulders and hands. I did
get a call from the doctor this evening and have an appointment on March 5th.
He is putting me on 15mg of Prednisone to see if that will help before seeing
him on the 5th. Cheri was busy doing some cleaning before our
company arrived. Peter and Vickie from Wisconsin came around 10:00 am to spend
the day with us. Peter and I worked together form many years at CenturyLink
before I retired. It was so good to see them. We went out for lunch at Sunrise
Eatery on the way back to the house we stopped to show them our camper. Then home
to play a couple of games of aggravation. It was fun and they hadn’t played the
game using cards. They left around 3:30 pm. Because of the big lunch we skipped
supper but did have some snacks while watching TV. We are trying to get caught
up on our recorded shows but having a hard time staying awake to watch them.
Thank you God for a blessed day to spend time with good friends Peter and
Vickie.

It was a busy day but no
work. I left the house at 7:00 am for my accountability group Bible Study and
breakfast. We studied John chapter 17 today. When I got home I cleaned up and
got ready to go to Dade City to have our taxes done. It was noon when we got
done so we had lunch at a new place for us in Dade City called BubbaQue where
they serve ribs and pulled pork. It was pretty good but have had better. When
we got home we got things loaded into the truck to take over to the camper.
Cheri and I took the cover off the camper which wasn’t as bad as I thought it
would be. Now we have to get it folded up and put in the storage bag, I think
that will be the hardest part. The DampRids where full and need to get some new ones. I want to
start doing some work in the camper to get personalized for us. Cheri has to
figure out where to put everything she wants to take. When we got home Cheri
made a dessert for me to take for Men’s Night Out at church. We had a meal of
chicken along with something brought by each person. There were sixteen of us
tonight. Charlie gave us some good points on how we could share our testimony.
We split up into groups of four and each told their testimony. It was around
8:30 pm when I got home. We watched a couple of shows before calling it a
night. Thank you God for a blessed day to spend time with other Christian men.

I left the house at 7:30
am as I had a dermatology appointment in Tampa at the VA. I had some spots on
my face and back that had to be burned off and a spot on my leg that they to a biopsy
of. The doctor looked at my hands and order x-rays to have done while I was
there plus I had a lab appointment. Long story short it was noon before I got
home. I am still having a lot of pain in my hands and shoulders. This afternoon
I went to Dade City to finish the plumbing I started Friday. Things went well
and was home by 3:30 pm. Cheri was busy with her normal Monday housework and
then went grocery shopping. After all of that she went for a visit with Jean.
Cheri fixed scalloped potatoes and ham for supper. The weather for the day
started at 54 degrees and then went up to near 80 degrees and humid. It was a
normal evening of TV with me doing more napping than watching. Thank you God
for a blessed day.

It was a little warmer
this morning with a temp of 54 degrees and turned to be a very nice day with
the temps in the mid 70’s. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Much Work, Few
Hands” from Acts 6:1-6. How we all need to pitch in and help with the workings
in the church. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Promised” from Deuteronomy
32:48-52 & 34:4-7. Believers can find hope in God’s promises and presence
when facing death. When we got home we worked on getting some insurance papers
filled out to send in for some health bills we paid in hope of getting some reimbursement.
Of course while making copies I run out of ink in the
printer and had to go and buy some so we could finish the paper work. When we
got done with that it was time to settle in to watch the NASCAR race along with
some other shows we had recorded. Wanting a different pizza for supper we ordered
a Papa John’s pizza. We always like them but this one didn’t taste that good. The
sauce had a flavor we didn’t care for. Thank you God for time spent with you
and friends today.

It was 39 degrees this
morning and the high was around 66 degrees with a stiff breeze. Cheri and I did
our normal Saturday morning trip to the Hole-in-One donut shop. I wasn’t sure I
wanted to go out in the cold but Cheri would have been disappointed if we hadn’t
gone. When we got home we worked on some health insurance to see about needing
some reimbursement for some dental bills. We left the house at 11:30 am to
travel two and a half hours to visit a camp ground over near Daytona Beach.
They were trying to sell us a campground membership which we didn’t buy. But we
did get three separate weeks of camping at five of their campgrounds around the
US. When we got back in town we stopped at Jersey Mikes for a sub sandwich to
take home for our supper. It was 6:30 pm when we finally arrived home. It was a
long day but enjoyed getting out and about for a day with Cheri. We eat our sub
while watching shows we had recorded. Thank you God for time spent with Cheri
and safe travels.

I woke up a little before
2:00 am and checked the temp which was 72 degrees. The wind started blowing
really hard as a front was moving in, within 45 minutes the temp went from 72
degrees to 55 degrees. When I got up this morning it was 44 degree and cold all
day. Still having a problem with pain in my shoulders and hands swelling with a
lot of pain. The cold weather isn’t helping with the pain. We went for
breakfast at the Sunrise Eatery this morning for a change. Cheri was busy with the Friday laundry and
house work. She also made trip to the grocery store. I got a call from the
people where I did the plumbing for the new kitchen sink. They said that the
dishwasher tipped out of the opening as it had been fastened to the old counter
top. So I headed over there this morning to reinstall the dishwasher which
turned out to be a major job. From there I headed to Dade City to do another faucet
and plumb the new sink because a new counter top had been installed. I did get
the faucet installed but forgot my plumbing materials so will have to go back
and finish the project Monday. The house is for sale so no really big hurry to
get it done. I was home by 4:00 pm and ready for a hot shower to help with the
pain in my shoulders and hands. Cheri fixed us a new recipe with chicken breast
along with creamed corn and some more of the baking powder biscuits. Larry and
Denise came over to play Hand, Knee, and Foot. It was time for Larry and me to
shine as we won both games, something we haven’t done for a while. Thank you
God for guiding us through this day.

I am running slowly this
morning, didn’t sleep well last night dealing with a lot of pain in my
shoulders and hands. Cheri fixed us leftover waffles for breakfast. I headed
out a 9:00 am to trim out a new patio door that Donna had installed. By 1:30 pm
I was done and had the drapes back up for her. I had a late lunch with Cheri
and then went out to load the truck with the things I will need tomorrow. Then it
was time for a hot shower to relive some of the pain in my shoulders and hands.
Not sure what is going on with the hands, the pain and swilling started after I
got out of the hospital. Cheri was busy with laundry and the usual Thursday
house work. She did fine time to go and visit with Jean but got a call from
Mike next door to see if she could come and sit with Kathy while Mike went to
get some groceries. Kathy is having a hard time with her cancer, her last
treatment didn’t go well for her and can’t have any more radiation treatments.
Cheri fixed made fresh baked powder biscuits in the cast iron skillet with sausage
gravy for supper. The evening was spent on watching some recorded shows. Thank
you God for a blessed day.

My shoulders and hands
were hurting this morning and couldn’t get myself out of bed until 5:30 am. I
didn’t have any work today so it made it easier for me to stay in bed for a
while. Cheri fixed us waffles for breakfast. After getting cleaned up I headed
to the recliner to rest while waiting for Larry and Denise to pick us up at
11:00 am to go to Busch Gardens. Our first stop in the park was at the Dragon
Fire Grill to see the new show by the Dragon Fire Duo. They took us on a
musical journey of classic favorites. It was a good show. From there we headed
up to the Stanleyville Theater to get our popcorn and drink before going in to
watch Let’s Hang On witch was a tribute to Franki Valli. It was a group of for
guys and two ladies that did the singing. It was a great show and the best we
have seen so far. We could actually hear and understand what they were singing
as the music wasn’t as loud. Apparently everyone else thought so too as they
got a standing ovation. The show was a full hour long and went by quickly. All the
other shows we have seen were 45 minutes or less. After the show we rode back
across the park on the Skyride. Then we watched the Cheetah race after some food.
They are really fast and get to 60 miles an hour in three seconds. But can only
maintain that speed for about a minute. I guess that should be enough time to
catch something to eat. They have a couple of baby cheetahs that we wanted to
see but the timing was right to see them, maybe next time. On the way home we
stopped at Applebee’s for supper. It was after 5:30 pm when we got home. We
headed to the recliners to rest, watch some TV, and nap before calling it a
night. Thank you God for a wonderful day with Larry and Denise.

I left the house at 7:00
am for my accountability Bible study and breakfast. There were twelve of us
today. We finished John chapter sixteen. On the way home I made another stop at
Lowe’s because I got a call from the client I am doing the plumbing for today
telling me that she wants black drain insert for the sink. Then it was back
home to clean up and be at the VA clinic for labs. From there I headed to Tampa
Bay country to do the plumbing project. It was a difficult project not much
room to work under the sink. Actually the sink was too big for the base
cabinet. Which made it very difficult to install the faucets and soap dispenser.
Then I ended up making another trip to Lowe’s for additional parts for the main
drain as it had to be reworked for the sink and garbage disposal hookup. On the
way home I stopped at Donna Perkins to see when I can start work on her liana.
I found out that Sun State was there today installing the sub floor and outside
patio door. I will start Thursday with trim around the inside patio door. It
was near 6:00 pm when I got home. I was a ready for a hot shower to help take
way the pain in my shoulders and hands. Cheri was busy with her normal Tuesday
house work, shopping, making chocolate chip cookies, and making a new pork chop
recipe in the instant pot for supper. It was pretty good along with mashed
potatoes with gravy. It was a normal evening of TV with me napping the whole
evening before heading off to bed. Thank you God for helping us through another
day.

I actually stayed in bed
until 5:30 am, something I don’t normal do. My shoulders and hands have been
really hurting and just didn’t want to get up. Cheri fixed us a breakfast of
eggs, bacon, toast, and juice. I didn’t do a lot today. I loaded the truck with
my tools to be ready for tomorrow, made a trip to Lowe’s for materials for
tomorrow, dropped off a package at the UPS Store for return to Amazon, picked
up my records at the hospital, and removed the battery from the camper to bring
home and put it on the charger. I was done by 1:00 pm. Cheri and I had a late
lunch because of the big breakfast she made for us. Cheri spent the day in her
sewing room and finished her latest quilt project. She also put away all the
valentine decorations. I was in the recliner by 1:30 pm taking a nap until
Cheri got done and joined me to watch some recorded shows which I also napped
through. After supper we settled in to watch the Daytona 500 Race which was an
exciting race to watch. Thank you God for a blessed day to take it easy.

We headed out at 8:30 am
for church. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Standing against the Tide” from
1 Peter 2:11-12. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Chosen” from Deuteronomy
30:1-10, 19-20. True life is found only when we live according to God’s
purposes. After Sunday school we all went over to the Fellowship Hall for our
Linger Longer. The main dish was chicken and dressing covered with gravy. Along
with all kinds of side dishes and dessert. Lots of good food and friendship. It
was after 1:30 pm when we got home. The rest of the afternoon was spent in our
recliners watching recorded shows. I was going to watch the Daytona 500 but was
in a rain delay and finally canceled until tomorrow at 4:00 pm. Because of the
big lunch at noon we settled for an English muffin with peanut butter plus a
few other things to snack on. Thank you God for a blessed day with friends and
you.

Cheri and I headed out at
7:00 am for our usual Saturday morning breakfast at the Hole-in-One donut shop.
We were back home shortly after 8:00 am. Larry and Denise came over at 9:00 am.
I took Larry over to Donna Perkins to show him the work that has to be done in
her lanai. Larry is going to help me with building a small deck and steps to
the lanai and remodel the inside walls. After we were done with that the four
of us went for ride to check out the Historic Richloam General Store.
It is a historic structure dating
back to 1922 that was originally used as a general store. Over the years
it also served as a railroad express station and post office. It was fun checking out all the old things in the
store. They even had a barrel of coffee beans where you could buy some and do
your own coffee grinding in the antique coffee grinder. For more information go
to https://www.florida-backroads-travel.com/richloam-general-store.html
. From there we headed to the Colt State Park to show Larry and Denise the
camping area that we plan on taking our camper for a shake down camping so we
can check everything out before taking any long trips. Then we checked out the horse
harness race track in Richland where they have harness racing every Sunday. From
there we went to Dade City to have lunch at Captain D’s. It was ok but nothing
special. Then it was back to our place to play a game of cards which Cheri and
Denise won. After Larry and Denise left we settled in for an evening of TV
along with a bowl of strawberries. Thank you God for a fun day with Larry and
Denise.

Fifty three years ago
today I asked Cheri to marry me. We only dated two months before we got engaged
and four months later we were married. Cheri and I went out for breakfast at
the village Inn and stopped at the doctor’s office on the way home to see about
a medication change for me. When we got home Cheri worked on the laundry and I
went to see the couple I was to install the floor for and they weren’t home. So
I went on to see Donna Perkins about the lanai rebuild. The people that
installed the patio door did a terrible job and has to come and install a new
door as the one they did install was all scratched up and after the rain it
wouldn’t open or close. Donna wants to have a feature wall in the lanai using
laminate flooring. So Cheri and I took her to Lumber liquidators where she
found what she wanted and bought it. After we got home I went back and talked
to the couple that I was to install the floor for. They didn’t want me to do it
after being in the hospital and found someone else to do the install which made
me feel good as I am not sure if I could have done it. I stopped at another
place to install some new shower door stops to replace the old ones that had come
off. We Picked up Larry and Denise at 3:00 pm to go out to celebrate Valentine’s
Day. We went to Wesley Chapel and had steak and Lobster at the Out Back Steak
House. We went early so we wouldn’t have to wait and a good thing we did as it
was pretty full when we got there. After dinner we headed back to Larry and
Denise’s to play cards. It was a good night of card playing as everyone was a
winner. I never really thought about it but everyone was also a looser. All well it was a great day God provided for
us to help and be with friends.

It was a no work day for
me as I needed some more time off. We left the house at 10:45 am to pick up
Larry and Denise and go to Busch Gardens. We went to see the show “Simply Queen
Tribute” at the Stanleyville Theater. We all thought it was really bad and left
before it was over. We saw several other people also leave. So we went to the
Dragon Fire Grill for lunch and watch the” Rock A Doo Wop” show. We have seen
it before and really like it. We also checked out the kangaroos to see if any
of the babies were out of the pouch. None were all the way out but had their
heads out. On the way out of the park we stopped to see the alligators and one
opened the mouth up really wide. Cheri managed to get a picture of him. It was
around 5:00 pm when we got home. We only had snacks for supper because of the
late lunch we had at Busch Gardens. We settled in to watch Survivor which we
had recorded. After that it was time for me to watch the twin dual NASCAR
races. Cheri isn’t into the racing and went to bed to watch something on the TV
in bedroom. Thank you God for fun and blessed day with good friends.

As you can see I have been
gone for a couple of days. I will start back on the 10th. I work
over in Tampa Bay country and got done with Patty and Jan for a while. I was
home early and called Dennis to see if we could go and pick up the flooring
that I will be installing for him and Terri. Well while I was unloading the
tools from the truck. I got pains in my chest, pain in my chin, pain down my
right arm, and felt sick. I went in the house and told Cheri I needed to go to
the emergency so on the way over I felt better and decided not to go. Went back
home and finished unloading the truck and went to get the flooring. Well while
unloading the flooring the same thing happen again so when I got home Cheri
took me to the emergency. The heart enzymes where up a little but nothing bad. They
decided to keep me for the night and then run some test. All the test came back
negative and was released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon. At my age I guess it is time for me to start
cutting back on my handy man work. On the way home we stopped by Baker Acers to
sign the papers on the sale of Grandma’s house. Then picked up sub sandwiches
from Jersey Mikes for supper. I slept through most of the TV shows we watched. Also
watched a new show called “For Life” which was very good. Thank you God for
getting us through the last couple of days and a clean bill of health.

Dr. Chuck Kelley delivered
the message today and was another good message. Our Sunday school lesson was
titled “Revealed” from Deuteronomy 18:15-22. God provides messengers to
represent Him in this world. After helping with the cleanup in the kitchen we
hung around and visited for a while. It was after 1:00 pm when we got home. Cheri
went to her sewing room to work on her quilt project. I settled in the recliner
to watch some of the NASCAR upcoming race along with some of the new XFL
football. But ended up napping more than watching. We had our normal Sunday
pizza for supper. We left the house at 5:30 pm and headed back to church to
hear Rhonda and Chuck Kelley deliver a Sunday evening message about having a
good Christian marriage. The message came from Ephesians 5:22-33. It was around
7:30 pm when we got home. We settled in to watch some TV along with some
strawberry shortcake. Thank you God for a blessed day with you and Christian
friends.

Cheri and I left the house
a little pass 7:00 am for our usual trip to the Hole-in-One donut shop. When I
walked up to the counter the young lady said one egg, sausage, cheese breakfast
sandwich, two glazed cinnamon rolls, and two decaf coffees. I said that is
right as we always have the same thing every Saturday morning. After breakfast
we stopped at Lowe’s to get the materials I need to fix the screens for a
client in our park, but didn’t have what I needed. So we headed back home.
Later I went to the mobile home store where I found what I needed for the
screens. While I was there I got a call from Donna Perkins telling me that the
guys were there installing the new house patio door and wanted me to come over.
It was a good thing I did as they thought that they had it installed in the
existing opening which was a tight fit and not enough room to square it up. I
made them take it out and redo the opening. I wasn’t sure they really knew what
they were doing and wasn’t happy with me. I had to leave so hope it got
installed correctly. Cheri left the house at 11:30 am to attend a luncheon at
church for the ladies with Rhonda Kelley the guest speaker. I did get the
screens repaired and installed. Then headed back to Lowe’s to get the materials
to finish the trim around Donna Perkins new patio door which I will do next
week. I was done around 3:30 pm. I showered and got cleaned up to rest a while
before leaving for church to attend a men’s steak dinner at 6:00 pm and a
message from Dr. Chuck Kelley. It was a very good message about how we can use
our testimony to introduce lost people to Jesus. I was back home by 8:30 pm to
watch a little TV with Cheri before calling it a night. Thank you God for a
blessed day and the messages from Chuck and Rhonda Kelley.

Our old Friday morning accountability
group had breakfast together in Dade City at 7:00 am. It was good to see them
and get caught up on what everyone has been doing. When I got home Cheri was
already busy with the laundry. I had a 10:00 am appointment over in Tampa Bay
country to rehang a dining room light that had come loose and was hanging by
the wiring. The screw holders in the box were broken. I had to make a trip to
Home Depot to get a retro fitting box to replace the broken one. I had a lot of
trouble getting the old box removed. A project that I thought would take about
an hour turned into a three hour project. When I got back to our park I checked
in on the client where I will be putting in a new kitchen and dining room floor
next week. I found out that I need to go and pick up the flooring at Plant City
which I plan on doing next Tuesday. I had one more stop in the park which was
to replace a window screen that had come off. Well it turns out that the screen
needs to be rebuilt as the corners have deteriorated and will have to be
replaced and also found another screen that has the same problem. So I brought
them home. Tomorrow I will make a trip to Lowe’s to get the repair parts for
them. Cheri spent the most of the day in her sewing room but also made time to
read a novel she has. This evening we went over to Larry and Denice’s to play
Hand, Knee, and Foot. It wasn’t a good night for Larry and me as Denise and
Cheri won both game. Still a good time being together. Thank you God for a
blessed day and being with friends today.

Larry and Denise picked us
up at 11:00 am and headed to Busch Gardens for the day. When we got into the
park we stopped at the check in and each received a ten dollar coupon to use
for food in the park. We took the train around the park to be near the Stanleyville
theatre where we watched “The Rolling Stones Tribute”. The backup band was so
loud you couldn’t hear what they were singing. I don’t ever remembering the
music being so loud back in the day. After the show we went to the Zambia
Smokehouse where we used our coupons for lunch, we had the rib, chicken, and
sausage sampler which was pretty good. Then we checked out the tiger exhibit
where Cheri and Denise took pictures. Then it was time for Larry and Cheri to
ride the Bumper Cars. I think they had a good time banging into each other. On
the way out of the park we check out the elephants and the alligators. We were
back home by 5:00 pm. I went over to Donna Perkins as she wanted to show me what
had been done for the liana rebuild and discusses what I had to do for the
finish work and building a small deck outside the new patio door when it is
installed. Being our lunch was late in the afternoon we only had an English muffin
with peanut butter along with a stovetop cookie. Yes later I had some popcorn
for a snack. Thank you God for a good time spent with friends.

I had a 9:00 am
appointment north of Dade City to remove old caulking and install new caulking
in a shower. My next stop was the church to work on the front door. With a lot
of adjusting I was able to get it to close properly. On the way home I took the
truck though the car wash and then a stop to get some concrete screws to repair
a hand rail base. After picking up a few things at home I went to repair the
rail base and to install a new storm door lockset. While I was there she had be
readjust the patio door lock. It was 4:00 pm when I was finishing up and got a
call from Baker Acers to come and sign the paper work on Grandma’s house. So I
headed home and picked up Cheri and we went to sign the house paper work. The
house closing is supposed to be tomorrow. Cheri was busy with Wednesday house
work, making a pot of chili, made stove top cookies, and working in her sewing
room. So we had chili for supper and later while watching TV we had strawberry
short cake. Yes Cheri also made some more baking powered biscuits for the
strawberries. Thank you God for guiding us through a less stressful day.

headed out at 7:00 am for my Tuesday morning accountability group Bible study
and breakfast. This morning there were sixteen us which is the largest group we
have had. Our Bible study was the first part of John chapter fifteen. On the
way home I made a stop at Lowe’s to get a new lockset for a client here in our
park. When I got home I asked Cheri if the wanted to go to the flea market.
Well she was ready to go and off we went. I bought a couple pairs of sunglasses
as I lost one pair and the other pair is for the truck as the old ones are
getting pretty scratched up. Cheri also bought a pair. We checked out the
strawberries and bought a half flat. Cheri bought three books to read and of
course I couldn’t leave without getting some kettle corn. When we got home
Cheri worked on cleaning strawberries and making biscuit to have strawberry
shortcake this evening. I went outside to work on cleaning out some of my old
scraps of lumber and taking it to Ron and Sandy’s to put on their burn pile.
When I got home we had a sandwich for lunch and a small bowl of strawberries
which were really good. Then it was back to work restocking the truck and doing
a little cleaning up in the shop. I could have done more but too tired to continue.
I took a shower and joined Cheri in the recliner to watch a couple of shows before
supper. We got a call from Baker Acers to let us know that they got an offer on
Grandma’s trailer which we accepted. The biscuits Cheri made did rise and told
me it was because the flour was too old. So after leftover lasagna we had a
bowl of strawberries. We watched a few of our recorded shows and called it a
night. Thank you God for all you do for us.

I headed back to Tampa Bay
country to work for a different client. I installed a drapery rod, installed drapes,
change house filter, filled the water softener, took a bed apart, installed wainscoting,
installed baseboard, and repaired a window blind. Things went well today and
was back home by 3:30 pm. Then I went to a client here in our park to install a
new water shutoff to the toilet. At 5:30 pm a couple came for the cabinets and I
hauled them to the other side of Zephyrhills for them. It was after 6:00 pm
when I finally got home. Cheri was busy with her Monday house work, decorating
for Valentine’s Day, a visit with Jean, and making lasagna for supper. It was 7:00
pm when we finally sat down for supper. With a late supper we didn’t need any
snacks while watching TV. We were both tired from our days’ work and called it
a day early. Thank you God for guiding through this day.

Gay Feb-2-20

We left the house at 8:30
am heading to Dade City for church and Sunday school. Pastor Randy’s message
was titled “Our Praise through Christ” from 1 Peter 2:9-10. Our Sunday school
lesson was titled “Loved” from Deuteronomy 6:1-13. Loving God with all of one’s
being leads to obedience. After Sunday school we headed to Plant City to have
some fresh strawberry short cake. We were a little disappointed as the berries
are still on the sour side. We were back home by a little after 2:00 pm. Cheri
headed for the recliner. I went outside to clean out the truck and get it
repacked for work tomorrow (work that I was supposed to get yesterday). Then I
joined Cheri to watch recorded shows and movies. We had our usual Sunday
evening meal of pizza. I had ordered a new study Bible and it was delivered
this evening. Praying that it will help us with understand God’s word. Thank
you God for this day spending time with you and friends.

Gay Feb-1-20

Hard to believe that a
month of 2020 is gone already. Cheri and I did our normal Saturday morning
breakfast at the Hole-in-One donut shop. We were back home before 8:00 am. We
did our Bible study and Sunday school lesson. Cheri spent the forenoon in her
sewing room and I went for a haircut and then a stop at Harbor Freight for some
drill bits. When I got home I planned on cleaning out the truck and stocking it
for Monday but with a misty rain and cold dampness I just didn’t feel like
doing anything. So long story short we both spent the afternoon in our
recliners napping and watching TV. We had leftover potato soup for supper and
then some ice cream later with our normal evening of TV. It did feel good to
have a lazy day at home. Thank you God for restful day.

Gay Jan-31-20

Cheri and I left the house
a little before 7:00 am to have breakfast at the Village inn. Then a stop at
the bank on the way home along with filling the car with gas. Cheri has been
working on a project for our Sunday school. She has been putting together Bible
verses and other saying and putting them together to make one large piece.
After she got everything laid out I helped her by gluing and pin nailing them
together. Then we took them up to the Sunday school and hung them on the wall.
While I was there I did some more work on the church front door. I now know
what the problem is with the door but didn’t have my step ladder with me so it
will wait for another day. When we got home Cheri finished the laundry and
house work. I finished the dishwasher install as I had to relevel and fasten it
in place. The rest of the day was spent on computer work trying to get our health
insurance straighten out. I am not very savvy when it comes to computers. My
brain was fried from trying to figure out what forms I need to do online. So
that part will wait until tomorrow. Cheri made a new recipe of potato soup for
supper and was really good. It was a normal evening of TV with the last of the
blueberry cobbler for a treat. Thank you God for a blessed day.
