Going through my phone
last night I noticed that I only did a little over 800 steps, not good. No
wonder my clothes aren’t fitting. So this morning I headed out at 6:30 am for a
walk and did over a 1000 steps. For my age I should be doing 6000 steps. I used
to walk every morning but when I got heavy into the handy man work the morning
walk disappeared. And this day didn’t require much walking as I worked on
detailing the car. I started at 9:30 am and quit at noon for a rest and lunch
and then back at it. By 3:00 pm I couldn’t do anymore, too tired to continue. I
think all that is left to do is clean the windows inside. Cheri did her normal
Wednesday house work and then went to her sewing room and started a new
project. She also took time to make me a peach cobbler for supper along with
the rest of the beef stroganoff. At 7:30 pm I took another walk to the mail box
to pick up the mail and a longer way home. I now have a little over 5000 steps
for the day. We are out of recorded shows so we streamed some more episodes of
Bosch on Amazon Prime. At 8:30 pm we started watching Survivor which had stared
at 8:00 pm. We also watched a new show for us which is about people looking and
buy log cabins and houses. We got to see some really neat log homes. Thank you
God for a blessed day and keeping us safe from the COVID-19.

Yesterday I told you I set
the live trap and this morning I had caught another possum. That makes number
five in a little over three weeks. I think I need to start checking the trap
every morning to see is there is one waiting to get in. Maybe I am coming done
with the possum virus. I took it for a ride out farther into the country side
to make sure they aren’t coming back. Cheri and I worked on thinning out our
closet. In other words the thin clothes don’t fit any longer. If this stay at
home continues I will be down to one pair of pants and a couple of shirts. We
also worked on cleaning out old medications we use to take. Cheri was also busy
with her normal house work. I clean out some out of the stuff from the truck
and was going to do some work in the shop but wasn’t really in the mood so came
back in and headed to the recliner. Later Cheri joined me. We tried to watch
some TV but turned into nap time. This evening we the left over beef stroganoff
for supper, still very good. We are out of recorded shows to watch so we
streamed more episodes of Bosch from Amazon Prime. Plus we watch an episode of
Building off the Grid. Thank you God for taking care of us today.

We both got up tired this
morning. Cheri fixed us an egg, sausage, cheese on an English muffin along with
the coffee I made earlier for breakfast. I left the house around 9:00 am as I
needed to return a few things back to Lowe’s and pick up the materials I needed
for today. I also returned the router to Harbor Freight as I got the old one to
work. Yes I was carful and wore a face mask and did a good washing when I got
home. Donna Perkins had called and said that her toilet was leaking so I install
a new flapper for her. I also had another place with a toilet with the same
problem. When I was done with these things it was lunch time. After lunch I
went and did the electrical outside outlet install. Things went well and was
done and back home by 4:00 pm. Cheri said that she did go into her sewing room
and decided that it wasn’t something she wanted to do today. While I was taking
my shower to get cleaned up Cheri started supper. She fixed us beef stroganoff
which was very good and will have more of it tomorrow. I set the live trap this
evening and will see what we may have caught during the night. It was a normal
evening of TV watching some recorded Dateline shows. Thank you God for guiding
us through another day and keeping us safe.

Today was pretty much the
same as the last few Sundays. We left the house at 8:30 am to attend the drive
in service on the hill. We can’t talk to all the people or give them a hug but
just being together in our cars has to make you feel better plus a good message
(What is the Good Life. from 1 Peter 3:8-12) from Pastor Randy. Then back at
home to prepare for out Sunday school class on Zoom with Charlie Rodgers. And
again we had twenty contacts signed in. It is a good feeling that we can still
be together and see each other on Zoom. Our lesson today was titled “Saved”
Salvation has always been granted through faith. Cheri fixed us a grille ham
and cheese sandwich with chips and a couple of cookies for lunch. The rest of
the afternoon was napping and trying to watch some movies on TV. Cheri fixed us
the normal Sunday evening pizza. The evening was spent watching Fixer upper as
they showed the first show that Chip and Jo done plus two others and then told
us about their new Magnolia channel that will be starting in October. Thank you
God for time spent with you today along with church friends.

The rain is over and just
over night I can see some green in the grass already. It was a much needed
rain. The rain made for a hot and humid day. I got the flooring for the Sunday
school bathroom so I headed up there this morning. I was done by 2:30 pm. So
glad to have that project done. I was hot and tired when I got home. I didn’t
take time to unload the truck which can wait for another day. I headed for the
shower and felt much better after getting cleaned up. Cheri was already done
for the day as she finished the laundry, went to pick up medicine, a stop at
the grocery store, and whatever else she had been working on. Cheri and I sat
down to watch some TV before she fixed us supper but that didn’t work for me as
I slept through whatever it was we were watching. Cheri fixed us a French bread
loaf for supper. I still had trouble staying awake to watch any TV this
evening. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and keeping us safe from
the COVID-19.

It started raining here at
5:30 am and was an all-day rain in fact it was still doing some raining when we
went to bed. I checked the rain gauge and we received two inches. It was a much
needed rain. With the rain and darken skies I really didn’t feel like doing
anything today. Cheri was busy with the laundry this morning and then she was
pretty much done for the day. I was going to work on our living room floors as
we have a couple of boards that have separated and need to be repaired. I
started to work on them and realized the tools I needed where up in Dade City
at the Sunday school building. Cheri and I spent more time in Bible study and
also watched a music service from the church. Midmorning I received the new modem/router.
I spent the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon working on that
project. I had to call spectrum to active the new modem, waiting on the phone
for almost half an hour. I finally got the TV hooked up to the internet and realized
it was much easier to take the laptop in and hook it to the TV. We started
watching “Bosch” on Amazon which we have watched before and have started season
six. So has you can see it was a lazy day for us. Thank you God for a day off.

This post this morning is
coming from possum country. Yep when I checked the trap this morning I had
caught another possum. That makes four within three or four weeks. I am at the
point that I am not sure I want to set the trap anymore. But probable a good
thing to get them out of the park. I had a 9:30 am appointment to install a new
garbage disposal. It was an easy job as I didn’t have to do any plumbing. The
new one fit right in place of the old one, something that doesn’t happen very often.
My next project was for a lady here in the park. I have done work for her
before. Last spring she had an issue with love bugs getting to the house
through the bathroom exhaust fans. So decided to put some screen inside the
vent grills to see if that will stop them from getting into the house. Won’t
have to wait long because love bug season should be starting in the next two or
three week. I also got a call to install an outside electrical outlet that I
will work on next week. After all of this I was done for the day by 2:30 pm. I
took my shower, got cleaned up, and headed to the recliner. Cheri was busy with
laundry, Thursday house work along with some more spring cleaning. She was also
done by 2:30 pm. So we watched a couple of movies before Cheri went to the
kitchen to fix supper. She made a new recipe called Baked Shrimp Scampi. It was
really good and should have had enough for another meal but I couldn’t stop
eating it. Long story short when I got done there wasn’t any left for another
meal. Just a normal evening of TV watching some shows we had recorded. Thank
you God for a blessed day keeping us in your word and keeping us safe from the
COVID-19.

It was another hot day and
thankful that most of my work was inside where it was cooler. I was able to get
my Bible study done this morning as my appointment wasn’t until 10:00 am over
in Tampa Bay country. I did some work for church friends. I installed a new LED
light in the laundry room, change out a couple burn light tubes in the kitchen,
Installed blocking under the couch to raise it up eight inches ( it was so low
that it was hard to get up from it), and repair a roof shingle that hadn’t laid
down. Found that there was a nail sticking up under the shingle. I removed the
nail and added some Black Jack to seal it down. It was a little after 2:00 pm
when I got home. I was done for the day and headed to the shower to get cleaned
up. Cheri was busy with her usual Wednesday house work, doing some spring
cleaning, and made me a batch of chocolate cookies. We rested and watched movie
before Cheri went to the kitchen to make spaghetti and garlic toast for supper
along with a chocolate cookie for dessert. At 7:15 pm we streamed Pastor Randy’s
Wednesday evening Bible study. Watched a movie that I napped through before
calling it a night. Thank you God for directing us through another day keeping
us safe. Continue to surround our family, friends, and love ones with an army
of angles to protect us from the COVID-19.

It was a little cooler
this morning and not as humid but the temp was in the mid 90’s. Cheri and I
spent some extra time getting around this morning (just lazy). We got a call
from Pat and Roger from Maine this morning checking in to see how we were doing.
They like all the rest of us are going stir crazy. Cheri continued with her
house work along with some spring cleaning. I headed to the Sunday school in
Dade City to put all the materials and tool in one place in case they needed to
use the room for some reason. On the way home I stopped and fixed a storm door
closer and a bathroom faucet. When I got home I went to work on building the
top of the kitchen cabinets so Cheri would have a level place to display
things. It is something that she has wanted for a long time. One more thing off
her list of honey do jobs. Later this afternoon we went out for a ride around
town and stopped check on Larry & Denise’s house. Then over to DQ to get a
couple of medium size Blizzards from the drive through window. $10.68 now I
remember why we stopped getting them. We drove over into the next lot where we
found a tree we could park under to have the Blizzards. Being we had the
Blizzards late in the afternoon we didn’t have any supper but around 6:00 pm we
did have a roast beef sandwich. We watched a couple of movies and two episodes
of Building off the Grid. Thank you God for this day and protecting us from the
COVID-19.

There is another feral cat
running around the neighborhood. So I set the trap again and this morning I had
another possum. I beginning to think maybe we should change our park name from
Sundance to Possum Country. So I took it for a ride back out into the country
side. Cheri had a project she want done and today was the day to do it. Many
years ago I laid a piece of plywood on the top of her china cabinet so she
could display things. Well she wanted something at was better as it needed to
be fasten down and some support added. It was looking like rain this morning
and wanted to get the project done before the rain came. So I got the saws out
and cut some supporting pieces and a new top. The rain did come before I got
done but did get all the cutting done. Long story short it is done and Cheri is
happy. She also wants something like that done to the top of the kitchen
cabinets. Well that didn’t happen because of the rain. It was noon when I got done and was ready for
lunch. The rain didn’t last that long so this afternoon I had an exhaust fan to
repair for a party here in the park. After I got that done I was hot, sweaty,
and tired. So I headed to the shower to get cleaned up and then joined Cheri as
she was also done for the day, she had been doing some spring cleaning. We had
leftover pot roast for supper. Later we had a bowl of ice cream for a snack
while watching some TV shows we had recorded. Thank you God for a productive
day and watching over us.

We left the house at 8:30
am to attend our drive in church. The party that was letting the church use the
flatbed trailer need it so some of the guys got together Saturday and built a
platform for the service. It was good to see all the cars even though we can’t
see each other. We were back home a little after 10:00 am. Our service has been
shorten because of the hot weather. When we got home I set up the computer to
be ready for our Sunday school lesson on Zoom with Charlie Rodgers. I could see
that we had 21 connections on Zoom for the lesson. The lesson for today was
titled “Secured”. All who accept the gospel have a sure hope for a future as
children of God. The lesson started at 11:00 or I should say we had a twenty
minute chit chat before Charlie could get into the lesson. It was a lazy
afternoon watching movies, some reading, and napping. We had our normal Sunday
evening pizza for supper and then more TV. Thank you God for spending time with
you and our Sunday school class friends.

It was a busy day for us. First
thing this morning I had caught another possum in the trap. After taking it for
a ride I headed to Lowe’s has I needed some additional materials for the church
bathroom floor. Then back home to get my saws and other tool loaded in the
truck. We had rain coming around 10:00 am. So I needed to get things to the
Sunday school building before the rain. I do have an outdoor patio where I can
set the saws up without getting wet. Just as I pulled in to the church parking
lot it started to rain. I quickly got things unloaded and set up for the day.
Things went well this morning as I got the moister barrier installed and some
of the flooring done by lunch time. After lunch I opened the additional box of
flooring I had ordered from Home Depot to find that it all had damage to the corners
and couldn’t be used. I put things away at the Sunday school building and
headed home. I found the paper work from the flooring order and headed to Home
Depot. I had to stand in a long line to wait and get into the store, only
letting so many people in at a time. I got the flooring retuned and they don’t
carry it in the store so I had them reorder it for me which I should have went
home and ordered it as they made a mistake and order two boxes and only wanted
one box. It took a while to get that straighten out as they call some place
higher up to take care of it. God taught me to be patient and understanding
with Home Depot. When I got home Cheri was relaxing in her recliner as she
finished putting the puzzle together. This morning Cher put a roast beef,
carrots, onions, potatoes in the crock pot to have for supper. After supper we
had another piece of the lemon margarine pie. It was a normal evening of TV
with me napping through most of what we were watching. As far as the rain goes
we only got a ¼ of an inch here, I think we got more in Dade City. Thank you
God for a blessed day and keeping us safe.

Today I started a job that
I been wanting to do for over a year. Since I remodeled the kitchen in our
Sunday school building I also wanted to put down a new floor in the bathroom. I
figured now was the time to get it done as I am pretty well caught up on my
work and there is nobody around the Sunday school building and felt safe in
doing the project now. So late morning I headed to the church to start the
project. After removing the toilet and base trim I install the new
underlayment. Things went well and was back home by 3:30 pm. I had forgot to
order the door transition strip for the door. So I thought that I would order
on line from Home Depot. It was 22 dollars and some change but with taxes and
shipping charges it was over 30 dollars. So I decided to make a trip to Home
Depot for it. With my discount and taxes it was just over 22 dollars. Yes I
wore my mask an again only a few people were wearing them. I was back home by
4:15 pm and ready for my shower to get cleaned up. Cheri was busy with laundry
and the puzzle that she is making progress on. I think she will finish it
tomorrow. She also make me a lemon margarine pie. She fixed us a steak dinner
with a baked potato for supper along with a piece of the pie which was great. This
evening we watched a couple of episodes of FBI Most Wanted which was never on
our recording list. It is a pretty good show. Thank you God for a blessed day
and keeping the COVID-19 away from us.

I forgot to mention that
we had a rain shower come through early evening yesterday. We only got half an
inch and was the first measurable rain we have had in a couple of months, the
TV said that we have only received six inches so far this year. Today it was a misty
rain on and off most of the day with less than half inch. The high was in the
low 60’s and windy which was 20 degrees cooler than yesterday. Not having any
sun made for dreary day. Cheri fixed us pancakes for breakfast. There wasn’t
any hurry getting around today so spent some additional time in Bible study.
Cheri was busy with laundry and working on the puzzle. By 1:00 pm it stopped
raining for a while so I went to the camper and hung the new towel bar, which
was all I did today. When I got home we streamed a mystery series from Amazon which
is pretty good and now have watched three episodes, sorry I don’t remember the
name of it. For supper Cheri fixed us a can of lobster chowder which wasn’t
very good, just didn’t have any flavor. Cheri said that we have two more cans
of it, I am sure she will come up with some ideas on how to make it better. The
evening we watch the three Chicago shows that were recorded. I managed to do
some napping during all the TV we watched today. Thank you God for keeping us
safe and healthy.

Well with all this staying
in and not getting out and about is making me fat and lazy, hope isn’t a new
normal. Cheri continues doing her housework, taking care of me, cooking my
meals, keeping me healthy, and most of all loving me. Cheri continued working
on the puzzle today. I finished assembling the camper cabinet and then took it
over to the camper and installed it. It was so hot that I had to quit before
picking up my tools. I will go back tomorrow as I also have a towel rack to
install. I took the truck and car though the car wash today. I had some meat
scraps so I set the trap last night. But when I got up this morning the trap
was sprung and moved. Just like before when I ended up catching a possum. So it
acts just like the last time and wondering if he came back. We will see what
happens. Cheri fixed us a cheese hamburger with fries and a chocolate cookie
for supper. We did have bowl of ice cream later while watching TV. Thank you
God for blessing us with this day and keeping us healthy.

Not much going on today,
just staying home like we should. Cheri fixed us an English muffin with egg,
bacon, and cheese on it for breakfast along with coffee. After our Bible study
Cheri worked on her Tuesday house work and then worked on the puzzle. She
making slow progress on the puzzle but is keeping her busy. I worked outside
painting the camper cabinet and tried to restock the truck and do some cleaning
in the shop area. I was only out for a short time as it was hot with really high
humidity. The temp was in the low 90’s today. The rest of the day was spent
inside where it was much cooler. I did some hard Sudoku puzzles which was a way
to kill some time and a challenge for my brain. We watched a couple Date Line
mysteries and a 20-20 documentary. We had leftovers for supper and then settled
in for an evening of TV watching some Off the Grid Building and a couple other
shows we had recorded. Thank you God for a relaxing day and keeping us safe
from the COVID-19.

Cheri and I took our time
getting around this morning as I didn’t have to be at Donna’s until 10:00 am.
Cheri and I did our Bible study and had a good conversation on Jesus’s resurrection.
It related back to Pastor Randy’s message Sunday. At Donna’s I got the first
coat of paint on and installed the new timer on her outside night light. I came
home for lunch and had to wait an extra hour before I could put on another coat
of paint (did I mention I don’t like to paint). After the painting was done I
install the window trim and the casing. By 3:00 pm the project was done. Cheri
worked on the puzzle today and the progress is slow, so many pieces that are
the same color. Cheri fixed two new recipes for supper that I found and sounded
good. Cheri was nice enough to fix them for me. It was a lot of work on her
part. The first one was called Creamy Lemon Pork Chops that was done in the
Instant Pot. The second one was called Melting potatoes done in the oven. Both
were excellent and have some leftovers for tomorrow. This evening we watched a
couple episodes of Date Line and Hope Calls the Heart. Thank you God for
getting us through another day and keeping us safe from the COVID-19.

I want to wish everyone a
happy Easter. I know this year was much different not being with family and
friends. Cheri and I left the house at 6:10 am and went to the drive in Sunrise
service. Then back home for an hour before going back for the drive in Easter
service. Then back home for an hour before our on line Zoom Sunday school
lesson. We were done by a little passed noon. We had a sandwich and chips for
lunch. We spent the afternoon watching some Christian movies Cheri had
recorded. We had our normal Sunday evening pizza for supper. We also got a
video call from Nikki showing all she has done in her house. She has been a
busy lady. I head this afternoon that there is a person here in our park that
has COVID-19. I will not be doing any work for new clients until things get
back to normal, if that ever happens. Thank you God for time spent with you today.

I didn’t have any plans
for today so I stayed in bed until 6:00 am. I did wake up at 5:00 am but was
able roll over and go back to sleep. Cheri fixed us a ham and cheese omelet with
an English muffin for breakfast. After our Bible study Cheri said that she was
going to give me a haircut. That is something that she hasn’t done for many
years. She also let me trim the back of her neck. Later I went out to check the
staining I did on the camper cabinet and have decided to paint it. Around 10:00
am I hooked the computer to the TV and watched the production Jesus from Sight
and Sound. It was really good and enjoyed on how they brought it all together
on the stage. After lunch I got a call from Bob Conover that he couldn’t get
the bulbs in the florescent fixture to work and wanted me to check it out. So I
made a trip over to Tampa Bay country to check it out. I found that the ballast
transformer was bad. He ask me to pick up a new florescent light for him. So on
the way home I was going to stop at Lowes but the parking lot was almost full
and decided I didn’t need to go in there with all the people. It was the first
time I have seen that many cars in Lowes and at a time when most people should
be home. I decided to wait until later in the day to go. Later this afternoon
we got a video call from Larry and Denise. They are doing ok and staying at
home. They have made over 450 face mask to give away to family, hospitals, and other
places that needed them. What a wonderful thing to do. We had leftovers for
supper. At 6:30 pm I decided to go back to Lowes and it was much better, not as
many people. I got the paint I needed for Donna’s laundry room, paint for the
camper cabinet, and a new light fixture for Bob. It was a little after 7:00 pm
when I got home. We watch a few recorded shows and called it a night. Thank you
God for a blessed day.

I had set the live trap a
couple of days and this morning I had caught a possum, the second one in a
month. I think we were about out of possum stew so it was time for another one.
Here is one of the better recipes I found. (The only way to eat a possum is to
get a white oak board the same size of the possum. Lay possum on the board,
salt & pepper, and a little corn mash on it and cook for three hours at 325
degrees. Take out and let it cool for ten minutes. Then give the possum to the
dogs and eat the white oak board). Cheri told me she didn’t like possum stew
and I wanted to know why. She said she watched granny on the Hillbillies and knew
she didn’t like it. So I took the possum for a ride to some new country for it.
Cheri was busy with the Friday laundry and house work. She also continued
working on the puzzle. I worked over at Donna’s this morning and finished the
sanding the plaster and now is ready for paint. I got her paint out of the shed
and it was all dried up. So I will have to see about getting new paint. This
afternoon I worked on staining the camper cabinet. I am not happy with the way
it came out. I think maybe I will just paint it or just finish it the way it is,
not sure. Cheri fixed us a new recipe of a ham casserole and fresh baked biscuits
for supper, it was very good. We had a normal evening of shows we had recorded
from Thursday night along with a bowl of ice cream. Thank you God for a blessed
day and keep us safe from the COVID-19.

I wasn’t in any hurry to
get around this morning as I didn’t have to be at work until 10:00 am. So I was
able to get some computer work done. Cheri was busy early getting the laundry
done along with the usual Thursday house work. Then spent a lot of time working
on the puzzle which is going much slower because so many of the pieces are the
same color. I did work over to Donna’s today and got the last coat of plaster
done. When I got home it was near noon so Cheri fixed us a grilled ham and
cheese sandwich along with some chips and fruit salad. Then I went out and
worked on the camper cabinet. I spent the whole afternoon sanding. I finished
around 4:00 pm. After my shower and getting cleaned up it was time for the
recliner. Cheri fixed us a cheese burger, carrots, chips, and the last of the
fruit salad for supper. This evening we watched Chicago Fire, Chicago Med,
Chicago Police, and a couple of remodeling shows. Thank you God for guiding us
through this day and keeping us safe from the COVID-19. Still having trouble uploading pictures. Something I need to work on, not sure what has happened.

Cheri fixed us a big
breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, English muffin, and juice. The only part
that I did was make the coffee which I do every morning. At 10:00 am I went
over to Donna’s and put on the second coat of plaster and had a nice visit with
Donna. When I got home I went to work on the cabinet for the camper. I got everything
cut out. I need to do a lot of sanding before I can put all the pieces
together. I was done by 3:00 pm. It seems nice to be done work earlier. After
my shower I headed for the recliner. Cheri was busy with the Wednesday house
work, making me chocolate chip cookies, and working on the puzzle. It is taking
her a lot more time now on puzzle because there is a lot of green pieces to put
in. Our daughter posted on Facebook that she feels like she is sixteen and as
gas is cheap and she is grounded (make me laugh). For supper Cheri fixed us
chicken tenders, green beans, fruit salad, fresh baked biscuits, and chocolate
chip cookies for dessert. This evening we watch a couple of movies we streamed
off of Amazon which weren’t very good. Thank you God for a blessed day and
keeping us healthy through these trying time. Was going upload some pictures of the camper cabinet but can't seem to get it done today.

My day started with a trip
to Wal-Mart to get groceries. The store opened at 6:00 am for seniors for an
hour before any others can go in and I got there about 5:50 am. There was already
a long line waiting for the store to open. Well Cheri made me a detailed list
so I would get all the right things. While waiting in I realized I had left the
list in the car and they were now letting people in. The guy behind me said
that he would save my place in line. So I ran to the car for the list and ran
back to the line and made it just in time to get in the store. Yes I did have
my mask and gloves on as did most of the people. I got to a point where I needed
to call Cheri and ask her about something she wanted. Well I went for my phone
and it was gone. Which means I lost it in the parking lot. After I got all the
groceries I ask at the service desk if anyone had turned in a phone. The Lady
said yes but it wasn’t my phone. After I got home and Cheri and I got
everything put away I called my phone and didn’t get an answer but left a
message. About half an hour later Cheri got a call from Charlie Rodgers our
Sunday school teacher saying he had good news that my phone was at Wal-Mart.
The last call I got yesterday was from Pastor Randy, so that was the number
they called. Well Pastor Randy didn’t have Cheri’s number so he called Charlie
and had him call Cheri. So I headed back to Wal-Mart to pick up my phone. That
is why the blog was late getting done yesterday. Cheri was busy today making an
omelet for a late breakfast, her normal Tuesday house work, working on the
puzzle, fixing us a New York strip steak and baked potatoes for supper. I went
over to Donna’s to put on another coat of plaster but the one I put on
yesterday wasn’t dry, so that will have to wait until tomorrow. Back home I
worked on the cabinet I am building for the camper. I got the door frames build
and all the routing done. By 2:30 pm I felt that I had done enough for the day.
I headed for the shower as I was full of sawdust from the sawing and routing.
It was a normal evening of TV and now are looking for other shows to watch as
we have most all the recordings watched. We had a bowl of ice cream for our
evening treat. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and finding my
phone.

Yes I know I am really
late with the blog for today. I worked over at Donna’s this morning and got a
coat of plater on the wall in the laundry room. I also sat and visited with
Donna for a while. I really didn’t feel like doing any work today so when I got
home from Donna’s I headed to the recliner to rest. I actually took a nap
before lunch time. I felt better after lunch and decided to go out and work on
the cabinet for the camper. I was done by 4:00 pm and ready for a shower to get
cleaned up for the day as I had a lot sawdust all over me. Cheri made a batch
of stovetop cookies and for supper and fixed fresh fried potatoes and onions
with milk gravy along with ham. Cheri worked
all day on puzzle and is making great progress. It was a normal evening of TV.
Thank you God for taking care of us today and continue surrounding our family,
friends, and love ones and keep the COVID-19 away.

More to do. |
We left the house at 8:25
am for the drive in church at the church property. There were 117 cars which
made for a nice service. Pastor Randy message was from 1 Peter 4:12-19. Please
take time to read this and pray. We had our Sunday school lesson on Zoom with
Charlie Rodgers. Our lesson today was from Romans 6:1-14 titled “Free”. All who
accept the gospel find freedom from the guilt of sin. This afternoon Cheri
worked on the puzzle. I did some more Sudoku Puzzles and then napped the rest
of the afternoon. We had our normal Sunday pizza for supper. Just another
evening of TV. Thank you God for spending time with you and church friends.

It was near 5:30 am before
I got up, which is unusual for me. I really didn’t feel like doing any work
today. But I needed to get the doggie ramp done for Donna today. When I took
the doggie ramp over to Donna’s I also took a piece of sheet rock and installed
it in the laundry room where the door had been removed. I wasn’t in the mood to
do any plaster work so I left that for another day. I also installed the dryer
vent for Lou where I had been working earlier this week. I sat and visited with
her after I got the vent installed as she lives by herself and is very lonely.
When I got home Cheri was busy working on the puzzle. We had a late lunch and
then I headed to the recliner doing some Sudoku Puzzles. When Cheri decided she
had done enough on the puzzle. We watched a movie or I should say Cheri watched
and I napped. We had the leftovers from yesterday for supper, still very good.
We watched some of our recorded shows before calling it a night. Thank you God
for a blessed day and keep us safe from the COVID.

Cheri and I had leftover
waffles from yesterday. We just put them in the toaster and heated them up and
taste like they just came out of the waffle maker. I had a 9:30 am appointment
over at Donna’s this morning. I figured on working on the window project. But
Donna wanted me to a doggie ramp so her dog (Tinker) could get up on the bed. Tinker
is old and can’t jump up on the bed anymore. I had bought a doggie stairs from
a garage sale a couple of weeks ago. But it was high enough for her to use. So I
took it home and made a ramp and attached it to the stairs. I cut carpet to put
on it and my air stapler quit working. So I took it apart and tied to fix it
but wasn’t able to get it to work any longer. So I while using the hand stapler
I ran out of staples. So I headed out to Harbor Freight to buy a new air
stapler but were out of them. I was surprised how many people were out and
about. I put on my mask and headed into the store. There were several people in
the store and only saw two other people with mask on. As long as I was out I
headed to Lowes as I had several things I needed to pick up and decided as long
as I was already out I would get it done. There were a lot of people in Lowe’s
and only saw two other people with a mask on. I got everything I needed and
headed for home. So while I was out I saw less than 1 percent of the people
wearing a mask. Which means there is going to be a lot more cases of the
COVID-19. It was near 4:00 pm when I got home and wiped everything down with disinfection
wipes and then headed for the shower to get cleaned up. Cheri did the rest of
the laundry, made a peach cobbler, a new recipe of Cracked out Chicken Tater
Tot Casserole, and worked on the puzzle. The cobbler and casserole were for
supper and it was really good. Cheri said we are having the same thing tomorrow
for supper. We did a face time call with Darren, Brooke, and Wyatt this evening
was good to see and talk to them. They also have everything shut down there and
now have cases of the virus there. It was a short evening of TV before calling
it a night. Thank you God for helping us through this day.

I pray that you all are
doing what you need to do to be safe during this time. Cheri fixed us waffles
for breakfast which were very good and have extra for tomorrow morning. All we
have do is put them in the toaster to heat them up. After Cheri got the laundry
and her Thursday house work done she headed back to working on the new puzzle.
She spent the rest of the day working on it. I went over to the camper and did
some maintenance work and also got measurements to build an additional cabinet
in the bathroom. So when I got home I went to work on getting out the material I
needed and started on the project. I ordered a new router bit that will make
better joints where the pieces come together. It should arrive on Saturday. It
was 1:30 pm when I came in the house and told Cheri I was hunger and she said
what time is it and when I told her it was 1:30 pm she couldn’t believe it was
that late. She was really wrapped up working on the puzzle. After lunch she
continued working on the puzzle. I did a couple of Sudoku Puzzles I printed on
line. I spent a lot of time on them as they were the hard ones. So after doing
them it was nap time for me. I asked Cheri what we were having for supper and
she said the rest of the bean soup. That was a surprise as I thought we had the
rest of it last night. It was still very good. Later we had some ice cream
while watching our TV shows. Thank you God for a blessed day and keep all of
our family, friends, and love ones away from the COVID-19.

Here we are in April and
March wasn’t a good month for all the people of the world. Normally I start the
month April with an April fool’s joke. But today there is no joke. We all need
to pray for the country and the world to bring the COVID-19 to an end. It’s going
to take all of us to make this happen. It will only happen if the people all
come together and work a one. Today the governor signed a stay at home for the month
of April. This morning I had a possum in the live trap which I have been trying
to catch that last couple of days. So I took him or her for a ride out in the
country side to find a new home. I had an appointment here in the park to repair
a cabinet door, repair door trim, and reskin a shed door. I also remove the
dryer vent hood as it was broken and needs to be replaced. I will be getting a
new one when it is safe to be out and about. Cheri started a new puzzle today.
She got the frame part done with a little help from me. We also had a Zoom meeting
with our Sunday school class to see how everyone was doing and if we needed to
help each other. I also read more of Grandpa and Grandma’s love letters from
1915. They are so interesting, using the horse and buggy and also talk about
riding in a car. Cheri fixed the rest of the barbeque bean soup for supper. We
are just about out of TV shows we have recorded to watch. Thank you God for
blessing us with a good day and keeping us healthy.

Cheri was busy first thing
this morning putting together everything in the crockpot to make barbeque bean
soup to have for supper. I had a 9:30 am appointment to install an additional
electrical outlet in the shed of a couple here in our park. It was an easy job
and was done by noon. When I got home Cheri was working on mopping the floors.
I headed to the bathroom to have my second shower for the day as I came home
all sweaty and smelly. After lunch we sat in our recliner to watch a couple of
shows. Well within a few minutes we were both napping so I turned the TV off
and both napped. I don’t know why I was so tired but napped for two hours. My
cousin sent me a thumb drive that she had scanned in love letters that our
grandpa and grandma had wrote to each other back in 1915. They are very interesting how they showed
their love for each other and about things that were happing back then. My
grandmother was a teacher before they got married and talked about how bad some
of the students were and had to use a switch on them to make them mind. Also
talked about going 15 miles with a horse and buggy which was an all day trip of
four hours each way. They are so interesting and still have more to read. The
barbeque bean soup Cheri made was very good. It has been a long time since
Cheri has made some for me. The rest of the evening was spent with watching TV
along with a bowl of ice cream. Thank you God for a blessed day keep us safe
from the COVID-19.
