I am feeling a little
better but thought I would feel better right away but that hasn’t happened. I
did get outside for a bit today. We have had some rain the last couple of days
so I went over to the camper to check and see if we had any leaks. Well
everything was dry which means I got all the leaks fixed. I also stopped and
check out the removal of a deck which I plan on doing when I feel better. Cheri
spent time in her sewing room. Our afternoon was the same as the last few days
of reading, doing Sudoku puzzles, napping and watching TV. We recorded some
additional movies to watch along with the 20/20, Dateline, and First 48 Hours. I
received several calls today from friends, family, and love ones checking in to
see how I was doing. Thank you God for a bless day and your healing powers.

Normally I get up at 5:00
am but not this morning. I did wake up at 5:00 am but rolled over and went back
to sleep, it was 6:45 am when I finally rolled out. So that is why my blog was
later than normal. I did spend a little time on internet but most of the day
was spent in my recliner. Cheri was busy with laundry, making chocolate chip
cookies, making a trip to pick up my meds, and taking care of me. I did nap
part of the afternoon. I am feeling better and starting to build some strength.
I don’t know what I would do if we didn’t have TV. We watched several episodes of
You Live in what, 20/20, Dateline, and First 48. We had left over Chile for
supper. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I was a wake at 4:30 am as
the nurse came in to take my blood pressure and then around 5:30 am they came and
took blood. Then again around 6:00 am back for more blood, said something
happen to the first batch. Cheri came around 8:00 am. The heart doctor’s PA
came in and said that I would be going home. So the nurses got all the paper
work done so we could leave but the doctor wanted to see me. It was after 11:00
am before he showed up. Long story short we were home by noon. I didn’t feel
much like lunch but Cheri did fix me an English muffin with peanut butter. Then
I sat down and wrote the blog for Wednesday. After that was done I headed to
the bathroom for a shower and getting cleaned up. The rest of my day was spent
in the recliner. Cheri was busy in the kitchen this afternoon making a batch of
chile for supper. This evening we watched Pastor Randy’s message that he did
last night, another great message. I tried to watch some of the NASCAR race but
too tired and went to bed. Thank you God for getting us through another day and
helping me back to better health.

Today is heart Cath day.
Cheri and left the house at 10:30 am heading to the hospital for my 10:45 am
appointment. Just to get in the hospital we had to have our temp taken and fill
out a paper of questions then over to the main check in desk so Cheri could get
a visitor pass. Then the long walk to the Day Surgury to check in and then up
to the second floor to check in for the heart Cath. After a shot wait the came
and got us and took us to the heart Cath lab. Cheri waited in the waiting room
and I went in to get prepped for the heart Cath. At 12:00 pm I was on the
operating table ready for the doctor. They went up through the groin and had
trouble getting to my heart. The doctor said the main artery had a lot of turns
and didn’t go straight. They finally got to the heart and found a large blockage
which took two stints end to end to get blood flowing. So it was after 2:30 pm
before I got to the recovery room. I had to lay flat on my back to get the opening
in groin to close. After two hours they took out groin plug and then a nurse
had to put pressure on it for twenty minutes. Finally by 5:30 pm I was in the
room where I was going to spend the night. I had to lay flat on back not moving
my right leg until 10:00 pm. My back hurts so bad I couldn’t sleep. I finally
got to sleep around 12:30 am and short time later they woke me up to do the
blood presser. I finally got to sleep around 2:30 pm. Cheri left the hospital
around 6:30 pm as it was a long day for her sitting around waiting for me. And
yes through the whole day we both had to have a mask on. Thank you God for
getting us through the day and bringing back to good health.

Not much going on today.
Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work and me staying out of her way. I did
do some computer work and changed an appointment with the VA for a lung scan
which I have every six months. Just calling the VA and getting to the right
department was a major job. I am going to be taking care of a house for a
couple from church that are moving back to Vermont as their house here hasn’t
sold and dropped of the key for me, hopefully it will sell quickly. I spent the
day in the recliner reading, doing Sudoku puzzles, watching TV, and napping. So
looking forward to having the heart Cath done tomorrow and then hope get back
to doing some work. Cheri has been good about taking care of me and keeping me
from doing things that I shouldn’t be doing. Cheri made us Mexican quesadillas
for supper plus enough for another meal. It was a normal evening of TV watching
a movie, 20/20, 48 hours, and Dateline. We had a couple of heavy rain showers
come through today. If I had to guess we probably got around a half inch. Thank
you God for guiding us through another day.

We have a feral cat in our
neighborhood. It has been making tracks on the truck and car. As you know I have
set the live trap many time only catch a possum. Well I have had it set for the
few days without catching anything. But this morning I had caught the cat. So I
took him for a ride early before the rain started. We had rain off and on most
of the day, just a drizzle and no sun. I also watched the rest of the NASCAR
race even though I saw on the news who won. Cheri worked in her sewing room
again today cutting out different pieces for the table runner. She doesn’t want
to do any sewing until she get her sewing machine back, should be ready by the
end of the week. Just getting rid of the cat petty much took care of my day.
Cheri and I spent the afternoon in front of the TV watching whatever we could
find that was worth watching. We had the last of the chicken and dumping for
supper. More TV this evening watching a recorded movie and some more Date Line,
First 48 Hours, and 20/20. Thank you God for a bless day and keeping the
COVID-19 away from our friends, family, and love ones.

I was awake at 3:30 am and
finally got up at 4:15 am. Not sure what the problem was. Cheri and headed out
at 8:30 am for the drive in church. Pastor James delivered the message today.
Pastor Randy was up in Alabama visiting his daughter for her birthday. At 11:00
am we had our Zoom Sunday school lesson with Charlie Rodgers. We had eighteen
connections today. Our lesson was titled “Accepting” from Romans 14-1-12. Believers
should accept and encourage other believers to facilitate unity. This afternoon
Cheri watched a couple of movies and I slept. I finally woke up around 4:00 pm.
We started watching another movie while having pizza for supper. After that it
was time to watch the NASCAR race which went into a rain delay. So we watched a
couple of 20/20’s and First 48 Hours. Cheri said that she was going to bed and I
tried to watch the race but only got half way through it before calling it a
night. I will try and watch the rest of it tomorrow. Thank you God for time
spent with you and our Sunday school class friends.

At 7:00 am I went to the
Hole in One donut shop to get a breakfast sandwich and a couple of cinnamon
rolls. This was the first time since the virus shut in. I was disappointed as
none of the workers were wearing mask and the two customer weren’t wearing any.
Not sure if I will go back again. I did get the sandwich but the cinnamon rolls
weren’t ready so I settled for a couple of double chocolate donuts and a couple
of cream filled. After breakfast and coffee I got cleaned up to face the day.
After my Bible study I went out to the shop and cut the curtain rods for Donna
Perkins and took them over to her place. She wants her recline raised as it is
hard for her to get out of it. So I put a couple of two by fours under it and
she was happy with the height. So I took measurements and will make some pieces
that I can screw to the base for a permanent fix. I was already exhausted when
I got home so will work on it another day.
When I got home I headed for the recliner. Cheri was working in her
sewing room on the quilt table runner that she was working on before doing
Nikki’s project. I spent all afternoon on the computer with Darren. He did some
updates and removed some software that I shouldn’t installed. He also helped
with some stock investments that we have. We had left over chicken and
dumplings for supper. Later we had a bowl of ice cream while watching TV. I
couldn’t stay awake to watch much so went to bed early. Thank you Darren for
fixing our computer. Thank you God for being with us today.

I had a 7:00 am
appointment at the hospital to have the virus test and blood work done for the
heart Cath on the 27th. I decided I would take the truck as it hasn’t
been driven for over a week. Well when I went to start it wouldn’t turn over as
the battery was dead. So I headed out with the car. I had to walk from the
parking lot into the front entrance of the hospital and then full length to the
lab and virus station. I am here to tell you that the virus test is no fun.
They run the swab up your nose and don’t stop until they have it in your brain
and then wait a few seconds turning the swab around and then pulling it out. Then
they do it all over again in the other nostril. Then the long walk back to the
car. When I got home I was exhausted and headed to the recliner, it wasn’t long
and I was asleep. Cheri was busy with laundry this morning and also had an
appointment at 10:45 am with the heart doctor. She said that there were a lot
of people and she was going to have to wait to get in so she told them she was
going out and wait in the car. She did get a good report and doesn’t have to go
back until Nov 23rd. After my nap I went out and put the battery charger
on the truck. I hadn’t unplugged the backup camera and think that drained the
battery. I had planned on installing the bedroom fan but that didn’t happen as
I spent the whole day in the recliner. Cheri made us chicken and dumplings for supper,
very good and have enough for a couple more meals. It was a normal evening of
TV with some cheese and crackers for a treat. Thank you God for a restful day
and keeping us healthy.

Cheri started the laundry
early and then made a trip to the post office to send out the quilt that she
made for Nikki. She made a stop at Walgreens for a few things we needed and
then a stop at Dollar General for some milk. I headed for the recliner to watch
the NASCAR race that I had recorded. That pretty much took care of my forenoon.
I was going to change out the ceiling fan in the bedroom but didn’t have the
energy to get it done. Donna Perkins came over this afternoon to drop off some
curtain rods that she wants me to cut down. This is the first time Donna has
been to our house so Cheri gave her the nickel tour and showed her the quilts
she has made. I noticed that our doorbell wasn’t working so I installed a new
battery in the switch. The rest of the afternoon was spent watching TV and
napping. Cheri fixed us an egg, cheese, and sausage biscuit for supper. Later
we had a dish of ice cream for a treat. We watched a couple of recorded movies,
Date Line, and 20/20. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Cheri headed to her sewing
room early this morning. It took her awhile to get her old sewing machine
setup. I think she had to go through a self-relearning on how to operate it.
She did get the quilt project done that she has been working for Nikki. The
ceiling fan I ordered for Cheri came around 10:30 am. So I spent the rest of
the day taking down the old fan and installing the new one. I could only do a
little bit at a time and took several breaks to rest. I had to modify the light
kit to make it fit to the fan. I was done around 4:30 pm. Then I took the car
through the carwash to remove the love bugs we collected yesterday on our trip
to Lakeland and back. At 7:15 this evening we watched the Wednesday evening
church service on line. Pastor Randy message this evening was about the Tribulation
that will come after the Rapture, very interesting and he makes it so easy to
understand. After the church service we watched a movie before calling it a
night. I also recorded the NASCAR race which I will watch tomorrow. Thank you
God for keeping us safe and healthy from the COVID-19.

My job this morning was to
stay out of Cheri’s way while she did her Tuesday morning house work. When she
was done with that she rested a while before getting her sewing machine ready
to take to Lakeland to be repaired. It was a quick trip down and back. I
dropped Cheri off at home and went to get subs at Jersey Mike’s for our lunch.
Our afternoon and evening was spent watching TV and napping. Cheri had put a
roast beef with carrots, onions, and potatoes in the crockpot for supper. I
wanted to do an update on my drone this afternoon but was too lazy to get myself
out of the recliner. I did get a couple of calls for work to be done but told
one of them I couldn’t do and they said they would wait for me. The other
person was Donna Perkins. She wants me to cut some curtain rods and is going to
bring them over here for me to do it. I also got calls from friends checking in
to see how I am doing. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Cheri was busy in her
sewing room with the project for Nikki until she had a problem with her sewing
machine. We will have to make a trip to Lakeland with it to be repaired. I
think it was ready for a tune up and a good cleaning. She plans on getting out
her old sewing machine to finish the project for Nikki. The last time we took
her machine in it was a couple of weeks before we got it back. I on the other
hand did nothing again today. I spent most of it in my recliner, still not
feeling very good. Cheri found a new ceiling fan she wanted for in the living
room so I did order that today. The plan is to take the living room fan and put
it in the bedroom and maybe use the bedroom fan to replace the one in the sunroom.
I did print off some new Sudoku puzzles to work on. I recorded a bunch of
Datelines and 20/20 which we watched this afternoon and evening. Cheri fixed us
corn on the cob and a hamburger for supper. Yes I did have a nap this forenoon
as well as this afternoon. Thank you God for guiding us through another day and
keeping us healthy and safe from the COVID-19.

We left the house at 8:30
am heading for our drive in church. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Winning
in the Workplace” from 1 Peter 2:18-21. There were somewhere between 95 and 100
cars at church. We were back home by 10:30 am. Time to get the computer set up
for our 11:00 am Zoom Sunday school lesson with Charlie Rodgers. I don’t know
what happened but couldn’t get to the meeting. After several tries I was able
to get video but no sound, so tried one more time and things went well. As it
turned out everyone had the same trouble getting in. So it was near 11:30 am
before we all got signed in. Our lesson was titled “Citizens” from Romans
13:1-14. Believers should seek to represent Christ well in their communities
and world. Our Sunday school lesson fit right in with Pastor Randy’s message
today. The rest of the afternoon was spent watching a movie before the NASCAR
started. While I was watching the race Cheri went to her sewing room working on
the quilt project for Nikki. We had our normal Sunday evening pizza for supper.
We watched a couple of shows and an episode of Dateline. Thank you God for time
spent with you and Christian friends today.

Just another day of doing
nothing for me. Cheri on the other hand made cholate chip cookies for me and
worked in her sewing room. Let’s see what I really did today. I canceled our
camping reservation as it was too close to after my heart Cath and didn’t think
I should be doing any lifting. I also did some napping and kept the TV warm by
watching it. Cheri did join me later this afternoon to watch some movies while
I napped. I woke up when Cheri’s phone rang and it was Nikki calling to check
in to see how we were doing. Nikki sent Cheri a Mother’s day present on May 5th
and it still hasn’t got here. I checked the tracking number and it showed it
left Fond du Lac on May 5th and was in route to the next destination.
Nikki said that maybe it going by way of Mexico and it will be a Christmas
present when it get here. We had left over shrimp scampi for supper. We also
watched a movie on U Tube and every time after the commercial we lost the audio
and had to get out of the show and them back in. After a few time we could get
the audio back and had to watch the rest of the movie with subtitles. So today
was a struggle but with Gods help we got through it, thank you God.

I still hadn’t heard
anything about my heart Cath appointment. So mid-morning I called and left a
message. Well it was long and got a call back and set the appointment for the
21st of May. Then I got another call telling me it couldn’t be done
on the 21st because of COVID-19 testing and now have to wait until
the 27th of May. Which means no work for over a week. Cheri spent
most of her day in the sewing room working on the project for Nikki. I did a
little work on the computer and then the rest of the day was spent in the
recliner, makes for a long day. Cheri joined me around 3:00 pm as we watched a
movie before Cheri fixed us shrimp scampi for supper. Later in the evening we
had a bowl of ice cream. We have been watching movies that we had recorded some
pretty good and others not so good. Thank you God for keeping us healthy
through another day.

Nothing much going on here
today. Still waiting for the call from the hospital to schedule my heart cath
appointment. They said that it could take up to three days but that time has
come and gone. If I don’t hear anything in the morning I am going to call. I am
sure there is a backup from everything being closed down for the COVID-19. I
didn’t feel like doing anything today. Stayed in the house did some stuff on
the computer, did Bible study, and napped this morning. Cheri was busy today
with doing laundry and working in her sewing room. I did go for a haircut late
this afternoon. They had me wait in our car until it was time for me and then they
came out and got me. When I got home I headed back to the recliner where Cheri
and I watched a movie. Not real hungry this evening and told Cheri all I wanted
was an English muffin with peanut butter. This evening we watched a couple more
movies we had recorded. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I asked Cheri what she was
going to do today and she said that she was working in her sewing room. She
asked me what I was going to do and I told her I was going to help her in the
sewing room, she just laughed at me. I told Cheri that when I go for my haircut
tomorrow I am not sure if I should get a haircut or a perm, she just gave me
that look. Cheri needed material for the project she is working on for Nikki.
So late morning we went to Lakeland to Jo-Ann Fabrics. She was in and out in a
short time and said that there were several not wearing a mask. I waited in the
car for her. Cheri had a nice phone visit with Pam this afternoon. The rest of
my day was spent in the recliner napping and trying to watch some TV. I am
still waiting for the call from the hospital for my heart cath appointment. Not
doing any work makes for long days for me. I guess I could do some work in my
shop but haven’t really felt like doing anything. Cheri fixed us Philly cheese
steak sandwiches for supper which were really good. We watched the Wednesday night
church service. Pastor Randy had an excellent message on the Rapture. We also
watched a movie before calling it a night. Thank you God for your message
tonight and taking care of us.

It was another down day
for me, no work per Cheri. Cheri was busy this morning vacuuming and mopping
the floors. My job was to stay out of her way. After our Bible study we made a
trip to Wal-Mart. It was pretty busy but made our way around Ok. They have the aisles
marked one way but of course people paid no attention to following the
directions. There is a lot of people that only care about themselves and think
they can do whatever they want. I will say most of the people did have masks
on. By the time we got home and everything put away it was almost noon. We
rested a while before having a sandwich for lunch in front of the TV. I tried
to watch some TV this afternoon but napped for a couple of hours when I woke up
I looked at Cheri and she was napping. I guess we are a sorry bunch. I waited
around all day for a call from the hospital for my heart cath appointment but
no one called. I was told I could take three days before I heard from them.
When it came time for supper we weren’t hungry as all we did was sit around and
nap, so we settled for an English muffin with peanut butter and then had a bowl
of ice cream later while watching TV. Thank you God for a relaxing day and
keeping us safe and healthy.

As I have posted in the
past that I haven’t felt good. Well with the coasting of friends and Cheri I
called for an appointment with the heart doctor this morning. After I told the
lady my symptoms she got me in to see the doctor at 12:15 pm. As soon as I told
the doctor what was going on he said that I had to have a heart cath. So I am
now waiting for a call from the hospital to set up a time to have it done.
Cheri told me I will not be doing any more work until after the heart cath and
the results from the doctor. The doctor put me on a blood thinner and blood
pressure medication. We went out to pick up the medications around 6:15 pm and
then over to Wal-Mart but didn’t stop as there were a lot of cars in the
parking lot. I think we will try again in the morning. Cheri made a new cookie
recipe while I was at the doctor’s office, very good but still like my chocolate
cookies the best. So most of my day was in the recliner reading and trying to
find something to watch on TV and yes more napping. Thank you God for taking
care of us today.

Happy Mother’s Day to all
the mothers. We had a little shower early this morning and thought it might be
a problem for our drive in church. But never a sprinkle while we were having church
and then when we were driving out it started to sprinkle. Pastor Randy’s message
was titled “A Mother’s Heart” from 2 Timothy 3:14-17. When we got home I got
the computer set up for our Zoom meeting with Charlie Rodgers. Our lesson today
was titled “Sacrifices” from Romans 12:1-2, 9-18. Believers are to demonstrate
Christlike character, living as sacrifices in all they do. Cheri got a call
from Nikki and talked with her for about an hour and a half. She also got a
call from Darren and we had a long visit with him. She also got an e-mail from
Kari wishing her a happy Mother’s Day. I spent part of the afternoon on the
computer checking out a video that Darren wanted me to watch. The rest of the
afternoon was watching TV. We had recorded some movies that we watched along
with some napping in them. We had our usual Sunday evening pizza along with a
bowl of ice cream later. We had sprinkles most of the afternoon and then a
pretty good rain around 9:30 pm. Thank you God for time spent with you and Christian

My dad would have been 100
years old today. He passed 11 years ago on his birthday. I checked the live
trap this morning and sure enough it was another possum which now make seven of
them. I took him for a ride out in the country side where I let the last two
go. When I got back I settled in to do my Bible study and had plans for a day’s
work around the house today but for some reason I couldn’t get my body out of
the recliner. So it was another lazy day for Cheri and me reading, napping, and
watching TV. We did call Larry and Denise to see how they are doing and are
still staying at home. They got four inches of snow yesterday. I also got on
line and found that the State Park that we wanted to camp in is now open so I
made a reservation for camping on May 31 through June 5th. The first
camping with our new camper. We watched several episodes of 20/20, Dateline,
and internet NASCAR racing throughout the afternoon and evening. Cheri fixed us
chip beef on toast for supper and later a bowl of ice cream while watching TV.
Thank you God for a blessed and relaxing day.

Not much going on here
today. It was normal morning with breakfast, coffee and Bible study. Cheri did
get the laundry started early. She likes to get that done and beds made early
in the day. Cheri spent time in her sewing room working on a quilt project for
Nikki. I did finally go outside later this morning as it was only 49 degrees
this morning. I don’t ever remember it being this cold in May before. I did get
the truck box cleaned out and had to come in and rest before I could finish
putting things back in the truck. I feel good as long as I don’t get my heart
rate up. The afternoon was spent napping and watching TV. I did go out to Jersey
Mike’s to pick up subs for supper so Cheri could have a night off from cooking.
Yes I still wear a mask when I am out. More TV this evening watching some
recorded shows along with a movie. Thank you God for a blessed day and keeping

Cheri was up a little
after 6:00 am as we planned on going to Sam’s Club early as they let the seniors
in at 7:00 am. Well just to make sure I check the internet this morning and it
had on their web site that they didn’t open until 9:00 am. I also called to
make sure and it was 9:00 am. So we had time to relax with Bible study before
leaving. We got there a little before 9:00 am. Time to fill the car with gas
which was at $1.53 per gallon. We found most of the things we wanted to get.
But the meat area was pretty bare, couldn’t get any hamburger. We were home and
had everything put away by 10:30 am. It was a beautiful day and had the doors
and windows open all day. It was the nicest day we have had this year, low 70’s
and dry air. So with such a nice day you would think I would be out but no I
spent the day in the recliner. Cheri worked on the Thursday laundry and then
she relaxed in her recliner. We read, napped, and watched TV. Looking for
something to watch. I almost forgot to mention I didn’t catch anything in the
live trap. We had left over lasagna and garlic toast for supper. This evening
we called Nikki to see how she was doing, still hasn’t heard anything about getting
back to work. We watched some 20-20 shows and a couple of movies Cheri found.
Thank you God for keeping us safe and healthy.

today. I was back to work over to friends Ron and Sandy Sharp. They had a patio
door sill that needed to be replaced. Thankful that it was in the shade where
it wasn’t so hot. It was a little past noon when I got done. On the way home I
took the truck through the car wash as it is now love bug season. Everybody had
the same plan on getting the love bugs off their cars as the line for the car
wash was clear out on the highway. Cheri had packed me a lunch but waited until
I got home to eat. Cheri had done her Wednesday house work and spent time on
her sewing room. She is making a table runner and showed me the progress she
has made. I got cleaned up and headed for the recliner and wasn’t long before I
was napping. Cheri fixed us lasagna and garlic toast for supper. We called
Nikki this evening and she hasn’t heard anything about going back to work. She
is still doing projects around the house. This evening we streamed Pastor Randy’s
message, more information on end times. We watched a couple of shows we had
recorded. The update on the live trap, didn’t catch anything. Thank you God for
a blessed day and keeping the COVID-19 away from us.

This is going to be short
today. I got up feeling under the weather. I got as far as the recliner and
that is where I spent most of the day. I did get through my Bible study,
watched Cheri sweep and mop the floors, napped and watched some TV shows that I
didn’t care about. Cheri took good care of me and started to feel better late
this afternoon. Early evening I got a call from a lady here in our park that
was having trouble with her toilet. So I did go and repair it for her, good
thing I had the parts on hand. When I got home I set the live trap again and
will see what come tonight. We streamed the rest of the Bosch series and then a
couple of movies. Thank you God for taking care of us today.

My day was getting a few
things done here at home. It started with getting the car windows cleaned on
the inside (another job I hate doing). Next I went to the camper to finish
cleaning up the caulking I did Saturday. Well when I got there I went to get
the mineral spirts out and couldn’t find them. I looked in the truck, camper
basement, and inside the camper with no luck. I figured I must have left them
out and someone must have taken them. So I headed to Rural King as I also
needed to get some bird seed and a new can of mineral spirts. When I got back
to the camper I looked again and found the can of mineral spirits inside the
camper. I did get the camper caulking cleaned up and then headed home to fill
the bird feeders. They have be empty for a while and just didn’t want to be out
to get the bird seed. After I was done I needed to rest awhile before Cheri
fixed us lunch. Later this afternoon I worked on the dining room floor as we
had a few floor planks that had separated. After removing the baseboard I was
able to tap them back in place. I pin nailed them along the wall in hopes that
will solve the separation problem. After that I was done for the day so I took
my shower and got cleaned up. Cheri was busy with her Monday house work and
then spent time in her sewing room. Cheri fixed us pork chops and broccoli for
supper. Later while watching TV we had some cookies. We watched the movie White
House Down. After watching some of it we realized we had seen it before but was
a good movie and enjoyed watching it again. Thank you God for a blessed day and
keeping healthy and safe.

This Sunday is no
different than the other Sunday’s. We left the house at 8:25 am heading for
drive in church on the hill. We had another good turnout. Pastor Randy’s
message was titled “What if My Spouse is Lost?” from 1 Peter 3:1-7. We can all
treat our spouse better and especially during this time with all we are going
through now. Then back home to get ready for our Zoom meeting with Charlie
Rodgers for our Sunday school lesson. It was titled “Mercy” from Romans
11:17-32. The gospel continues to be offered to all people, Jews and Gentiles.
It was after noon when we got done with our lesson. Cheri fixed us a brat and
some potato salad for our lunch. The rest of the afternoon was spent reading,
napping, working on Sudoku puzzles, and trying to find something to watch on
TV. Cheri fixed the usual Sunday evening pizza. We did find a movie to watch
this evening along with a couple of episodes of First 48 hours. Thank you God
for time spent with you and friends today.

I checked the live trap
first thing this morning and I have caught another possum which makes number
six in the last four weeks. I am beginning to think they are coming back from
where I had been taking them. So this one along with the last one I took
farther out in the county side. Cheri fixed us scrambled eggs with toast and
juice for breakfast. Cheri spent her day in the sewing room working on the new
quilt project. After I took the possum for a ride I went to Lowe’s to get some
Damp Rid and some rope caulking for the camper. I worked on removing some old
caulking because after the last rain I notice a small leak from the front of
the camper. It was really hot working on it and got a little over heated and
had to come home for a while. After about an hour I felt better and went back
to work and got the caulking done. But I still have to go back and clean up the
new caulking as it was too hot to finish the project today. Cheri fixed us
brats and potato salad for supper. We watched Blue Bloods and then four hours
of God Rush. Our weather has been good with cool mornings and low humidity but
hot in the afternoons. Thank you God for a blessed day and keeping us safe and
healthy.

Another month gone and hopefully
our country can start getting back to some kind of new normal. I think it will
take several years before we will have some kind of normal that we use to have.
Cheri was busy with laundry this morning. The rest of the day she spent some
time in her sewing room along with a few other things. I headed out at 9:00 am
with a stop at Lowe’s to get the additional things for replacing the water
faucet in Tampa Bay country. Things went well until it was time to install the
new faucet. I had bought the wrong one. So it was back to Lowe’s to get the
right one and they were out of them. So I headed to Home Depot and they were
also out of them. I ended up getting a male ended faucet and a coupling to
fasten it to the house water supply. Both
Lowe’s and Home Depot were very busy and lots of cars out on the road. God gave
me a lesson on how to be patient today. It was after 2:00 pm when I got home. I
sat down and rested a while before having a shower and getting cleaned up.
Cheri fixed us a rib eye steak with baked potato for supper and the last of the
peach cobbler later while watching TV. We are having a hard time finding
something good to watch. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and a
lesson in patients. I also set the live trap this evening using the streak
scraps for bate.

We had rain that started
at 2:30 am and continued until around 9:30 am. So with the rain Cheri and I took
our time getting around this morning. Cheri fixed us blue berry pancakes for breakfast
along with the coffee. By 10:00 am it looked like the rain was over so I went
out and changed the cabin filter in the car which I had ordered on line. Then I
went and paid the storage fee for the camper. I also checked the camper to see
if we had any leaks from when I did the caulking. We really hadn’t had any good
rain to check it out. I did find a small leak and will be doing some more
caulking. When I got back home another rain shower came through. We ended up
getting 1 ¼ inch of rain. Things are really starting to green up. This afternoon
I made a stop at Lowe’s to pick up an outside water faucet as I had an
appointment over in Tampa Bay country to change a leaky one. It turned out to
be one that was soldered to copper pipe. It has been years since I have done
anything with copper pipe. So I headed home and got out my torch and solder.
Tomorrow I will get the additional supplies I need and go back to change it.
Being I wasn’t able to walk this morning I went out this evening for a walk. Things
didn’t go well as I got the tightness in my chest and my right arm got num. I
had the same thing happen last night on my walk. I guess I need to take it a
little slower. Cheri was busy today with laundry and working in her sewing
room. She fixed us quesadillas for supper and later had some peach cobbler
while watching TV. Thank you God for a blessing of rain and guiding us through
the day.
