I was up early again out
for my morning walk. Cheri was also up shortly after 6:00 am. We had a busy
day. Cheri cleaning and mopping floors, taking clothes to Good Will, a Wal-Mart
stop, making a batch of chocolate chip cookie, and cleaning the sun room. I got
my truck loaded for a 10:00 am appointment in Tampa Bay country to install a
new garbage disposal and do some electrical work in the lanai for the air
conditioner. Also a stop at another place to see what I have to do for a vanity
top. Then a stop at another client that I have worked for, he just had a heart procedure
done and want to see how he was doing. One more stop back in our park to set a
time for tomorrow to fix a water leak. It was near 6:00 pm when I got home. Cheri
had put a roast beef in the crockpot with potatoes, onions, and carrots for
supper. So I took a quick shower before supper. It was 6:40 pm before we got to
the recliners to watch TV. We both did some napping while trying to watch TV.
We finally called it a night. Thank you God for helping us through this day.

I was really tired when I
got up this morning and was a struggle and had to force myself to do my walk. I
kept thinking about cutting it short but kept going and got the whole walk
done. We left for church at 9:20 am, this was one morning I was glad church
didn’t start until 10:00 am. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Praise Him in
the Storms” from 1 Peter 4:12-14 along with many other Bible verses. About how
we are now going through a storm now with the virus. Our Sunday school lesson
was titled “The Choice” from Proverbs 4:11-27. All people have a choice to
make: follow God or reject Him. We had a couple come this afternoon to look at
the camper. Found a soft spot in the camper floor which means a water leak that
I will need to fix, so took the camper off the for sale listing. Cheri settled
in to watch a movie while I was at the camper. When I got back it was time to
watch the NASCAR race and found that it was in a rain delay so we watched an episode
20/20. After that I was able to watch the race. Cheri fixed us our usual Sunday
evening pizza. After the race we watched a couple episodes of Date Line. Thank
you God for time spent with you and church friends today.

The only time I was out
today was for my early morning walk. It was already high humidity then. I
worked on the computer most of the day getting the camper put on Craigslist for
sale. I had a hard time getting the pictures from my phone into the camper
listing. After much trying and a couple of breaks I finally got it done. Within
an hour I had people inquiring about it. In fact someone is coming tomorrow to
look at it. The other people who inquired didn’t want to pay much for it. Cheri
worked on putting away the final things from the camper. She also spent time
cleaning in the kitchen. We both were low on energy today and took breaks to
rest. Late this afternoon we both napped through a show. I finally got woke up
enough to watch the NASCAR race which started with a rain delay. Almost every
race has been in some kind of rain delay. We had leftover chili dogs for supper
and were much better than yesterday. We had a brownie with ice cream for a
treat while watching TV. We are still watching Date Line, 20/20, and 48 Hours. All
very interesting. Thank you God for a more relaxed day and keeping us healthy
and safe from the virus.

When I got back from my
walk Cheri was already up doing laundry. She had a lot of laundry and wanted to
get an early start. Plus all the stuff from the camper to put away. I worked
all morning on the camper getting it ready to put back in storage. I took a lot
of pictures and will put it on Craigslist tomorrow for sale. Had a guy stop by
wanting me to look at a broken window as he couldn’t figure out how to remove
it. So I told him I would look at it this afternoon. Well shortly before I was
to go and check it out he stopped by and told me he got it out. I was happy
because I was pretty tired from getting the camper cleaned up and back in
storage. It was another really hot day with the heat index between 105 and 110.
It has been that way most of the week. Late afternoon I took a shower and
headed for the recliner where Cheri joined me. We both napped and missed most
of the show we were watching. Cheri fixed us a new recipe of chili dogs for
supper. It was good and have leftovers for tomorrow. Thank you God for a
blessed day getting the camper back in storage and Cheri getting things put
away.

We haven’t been sleeping
well in the camper so we decided to come home today. I guess you could say we
were depressed the way things turned out with the camper and truck. I did my
walk this morning and waited so I could walk without a flashlight. After
breakfast we closed up the camper and hooked it to the truck and was on our way
home by 9:00 am. As soon as we got home we cleaned everything out of the
camper. Just put things in the house and will put things away tomorrow. We both
took a nap after lunch. Then I did some computer work and updated the blog.
Cheri did put a few things away before supper. We watched a few shows before
calling it a night. We did get a little shower but thought we were going to get
a lot because there was a lot of lighting and thunder. Thank you God for a safe
camping trip and watching over us.

As you know we are still
camping without internet service. That is why the blogs have been late. 53
years ago today Cheri and I got married, hard to believe it has been that long.
I was up well before 5:00 am and was out for my morning walk and had to use a
flash light to see where I was going. I did 5,652 steps, no bad for walking in
the dark. I got the drone out this morning and took some pictures of our
campsite and part of the campground. Pulling our camper over to the campground
we found that our truck isn't big enough to pull this camper. We thought about a
bigger truck but can’t afford that. So we decided to look for a different
camper. We found one that was half the size as the one we have and would be able
to pull it with our truck. But was $6.000 more than what we paid for the camper
we have. Being the way the virus is going we probably won’t be able to go anywhere
this summer. Not knowing when we could go we have decided the best thing to do
is put our camper up for sale. It is very disappointing because I never thought
that our truck would have any trouble pulling the camper. We went out to eat
for the first time since the virus started. We went to Harry’s Seafood Bar and
Grill down in Lakeland to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were impressed
as everyone was wearing a mask and distance seating. We felt safe and enjoyed our
meal. Then back to the camper for some TV before calling it a night. We were
both stressed out about the camper. Thank
you God for our 53 years together and safe travels today.

I was up before 5:00 am
but didn’t do my walk as I went back to the house to upload the blog and pick
up a couple things we needed. From home I headed to Dade City for our 7:30 am
breakfast and accountability group Bible study. This is the first time since
the virus shut in. We are having it in the building where we have Sunday
school. We are to bring our own breakfast and coffee. I stopped at Burger King
and got a breakfast sandwich and a large coffee. I was early so got the tables
set up for breakfast and Bible study. There were seven of us, we continued our
study in the book of John first part of chapter eighteen. It was around 9:00 am
when I got back to the camper. Cheri was dressed and ready for the day. I got
cleaned up and started my days’ work first making a sewage dump and then adding
the toilet paper holder, towel bar, and safety shower bar. While I was doing
this Cheri went to Lee’s camp site to visit. I also did some caulking along the
roof seam by the roof edge. After lunch Lee and Lea came over to play cards. It
was a fun afternoon with a lot of laughs. Cheri fixed us hamburgers and potato
salad for supper. It was a normal evening of TV but went to bed early as we
were both really tired. Thank you God for a blessed day and time spent with Lee
and Lea.

Neither I nor Cheri slept
very well, Just a new bed we need to get used to. I waited until there was a
bit of day light for my morning walk as no street lights to walk by. My total
steps for today was 7,194. Cheri and I left the camper around 9:15 am. We went
to Lakeland with a stop at Wal-Mart to get a toaster, pizza cutter, some
knifes, pot holders, table cloth, and water. Then to Home Depot to get a towel
bar, toilet paper holder, and a grab bar. On the way back we made a stop at the
house to get the coffee, filters, and mattress pad. When we got back to the
camper we had a late lunch and then I went to work on installing the stuff we
bought. Cheri was busy making potato salad and getting brats ready for me
grill. I was done by 3:30 pm so I could
watch the NASCAR race that was postponed yesterday because of rain. Then
another rain delay today but did finally have it done. Cheri’s friend Lee and her granddaughter Lea
came to camp for a couple of days. They came over for supper. I told Cheri it
was too hot get the grill out for the brats so she fried them in the camper.
Our air conditioner ran all day without shutting off. Thank you God blessed and
a safe day.

From my morning walk |
Gay June-21-20

Once again I was up before
5:00 am. So I extended my walk to 4441 steps this morning, felt good when I was
done. Cheri was also up early this morning. I think we were both were excited
about camping and everything we needing to get into the camper before we left.
We left for church at 9:20 am. Only about 15 percent were wearing masks, sad.
Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Getting it Right” from Joshua 24:15. We need
to serve through a surrendered life. Our Sunday school lesson was titled
“Compassion Demonstrated” from Proverbs 3:21-35. Following God’s wisdom is
demonstrated in how a person treats others. On the way home we stopped at Winn
Dixies for a few things we needed for camping. After a late lunch we started
loading the camper with groceries, clothing, and all the other items we think
we would need. The only different in five days or two months is the amount of clothes
you pack. Long story short by 3:30 pm we were on our way, big trip eight miles
from our house to the campground. Getting the camper set up brought back a lot
of memories from our eight years of full timing. There were a few things we forgot to bring,
the main one was coffee. We had our normal Sunday evening pizza but this time
it was burnt on the bottom from being too close to oven burner. Lesson learned,
next time we will have the rack higher. I wasn’t able to hook up to water as it
looks like there is a special fitting missing to hook to the city water or
maybe everything has to go through the on board water tank. I was too tired to
do any more checking on it. I had a good shower but found the hot and cold
water backwards, just something to remember. We watched a little TV before
calling it a night. We even have a small TV in the bedroom. Some different when
you have to watch all the commercials. Thank you God for time spent with you
and church friends and ready for our first night of camping.

I was awake at 4:00 am and
finally got up at 4:15 am. I had all the things that needed to be done to the
camper on my mind. Cheri was up before 6:00 am. She said that she felt the same
way about all that she needed to do in the camper. I still haven’t extended my
walk, maybe tomorrow. I was out washing the camper before 8:00 am as it was
going to be another hot day and needed to get it done while it was still somewhat
cool. Cheri was also out in the camper early as she had a lot to do with cleaning
and bringing all the stuff from the house that will stay in the camper. Later I
made a trip to Lowe’s to get a toilet paper holder, shower safety bar, and a
couple towel bars. They didn’t have any that I liked so only came home with
some caulking as I found a small hole at the edge of the roof. I was going to
put some repair tape on the awning but too hot and was going to do it this
evening but the rain took care of that. I will try and get it done tomorrow
before we leave. Cheri fixed us leftover chip beef gravy over scrambled eggs
and toast for supper. Later we had a dish of ice cream which I think was more
to keep us awake while watching TV. Thank you God for helping us with the
camper work today and keeping us safe. This may be the last blog for the next
five days as I don’t think we will have internet service in the park. If we
make any trips I will try to up load the blog then.

I was up at 4:20 am this
morning. I had a lot on my mind for today. Thinking about getting the camper
home. Cheri was busy with laundry this morning and then went to pick up her
medicine and a stop at Winn Dixie for groceries. I finished installing the old bedroom
fan in the sun room. Good to have that project done. I cleaned out the truck
cab as it needed to a good cleaning. I got several things out of the shed that
we will need for the camper. After lunch we went to get the camper. It took a
while to get it hooked up. Boy did the backup camera I put on the truck really
work good for getting lined up to hook onto the camper. We took the camper for
a short trip to check out the brakes as it is the first time to use the brake controller
I installed on the truck. Everything went well and was back home a short time
later. I got the ladder out to get up on the roof to remove the air conditioner
cover and it was gone. Lost it on our short trip. So I got in the car and took
a ride to see if I could find it. I didn’t have much hope of finding it but
there is was laying by the road. Lesson learned take the cover off before
moving the camper. Cheri went right to work on cleaning in the camper. It was
too hot to work out side on the camper so I helped where I could on the inside.
We quit a little after 4:00 pm for the day. We were both really tired. Cheri
retuned a call to Pam while I took a shower. We had leftovers for supper. It
was a normal evening of TV along with some crackers and cheese for a snack.
Thank you God for a blessed day and working with us on the camper.

I didn’t wake up until
5:30 am. So I was half hour behind on everything this morning seem strange to
do my walk in the day light. Cheri was busy with the laundry which she does
every Thursday. The rest of her day was spent in her sewing room. She is still
working on the table runner. She is doing applique on it and has at least 100
little pieces to put on, she has more patience’s than I do. I went over to
Donna Perkins this morning to check out a leak that she has between the house
and carport. I will have to do some caulking but too hot to do it today as I burnt
my hand just laying it on the roof. I also check out a job of moving a washer
and dryer from the shed into the house where it had been at one time. All the plumbing
has to be redone. Hope to start that the first week in July. Then back home to
remove the ceiling fan in the bedroom and install the one I took down in the
living room. Then removed the one in the sun room and in the process of installing
the one from the bedroom, I run out of energy and will try and finish it tomorrow.
I was done by 4:00 pm and ready for a shower. Cheri fixed us shrimp scampi for
supper with garlic butter on an English muffin and a chocolate cookie for
dessert. It was a normal evening of TV. Thank you God for another blessed day
taking care of us.

My morning walk went well
and thinking about extending it. I had a 10:00 am appointment over in Tampa Bay
Country to change a house filter and check out a garbage disposal that wasn’t
working. It turned out that the disposal was dead and will have to be replaced.
Also checked out installing a new circuit for a window air conditioner that was
installed in the liana as it is tripping the breaker that is on. I stopped at another
place to check out installing two new vanities or maybe raising the existing
vanities and installing new counter tops, sinks, and faucets. I was back home
by 12:30 pm. Cheri was busy in her sewing room. After lunch Cheri went back to
her sewing room. I took the battery over to the camper got that installed ready
to pick up the camper and bring it home Friday. Then I made a trip to Lowe’s to
pick up a new garbage disposal, water filter, and electrical material for the
project in Tampa Bay Country. It was near 4:00 pm when I got done for the day.
Cheri fixed us eggs, sausage, hash browns, English muffin, jelly, and juice for
supper in other wards breakfast for supper. This evening we streamed our Wednesday
evening church service. Pastor Randy is still in Reservations, it is so
interesting and he makes it so easy to understand. We managed to watch a little
more TV before calling it a night. Thank you God for guiding us through this
day and keeping us healthy.

It was another good walk
this morning. I had a 9:30 am appointment to remove an old ceiling fan. Then move
a fan from the bedroom to the den where I removed the old fan. Then installed a
new fan in the bedroom. It was really hot in the house as their air conditioner
quit working during the night. It was around 12:30 pm when I got home. After
lunch I went out to my shop to do a little work. I got the grill out which we
haven’t used in a very long time. Long story short it was too far gone to repair.
So I headed over to Lowe’s and bought a new one. Hope to use it while camping
next week. Cheri made a trip to pick up her new glasses and now can see much
better. After her normal Tuesday house work she spent time in her sewing room.
It was around 3:30 pm when I headed for the shower. After I showered I joined
Cheri to watch a few episodes of Home Time or I should say I tried but ended up
napping. Cheri fixed us chip beef gravy over eggs on toast for supper. After
supper we went over to Mike and Kathy’s to witness and sign some papers for
them. We didn’t stay because I had been out working without a mask but had one
on while signing the papers, need to keep them safe. We watched a Hallmark
mystery movie, Date Line, and 48 Hours this evening. Thank you God for a
blessed day.

I was up at 4:30 am, I was
awake and felt like I needed to get up. I managed to get in just over 3000
steps this morning which is just over a mile for my walk. Cheri was busy in the
kitchen first thing this morning making me a cherry nut cake with butter cream frosting
for my birthday. She had it all done so I could have a piece for lunch. I went
and checked out a ceiling fan project which I will be doing tomorrow. I checked
with Ron Sharp to see if I could bring a truck load of scrap lumber out to his
burn pile today. He said I could bring it out anytime today. So after lunch I loaded
it up and took it out. After I got it unloaded we sat down for a visit as he
had been working in the lawn mowing and spraying. Thank you Ron letting me
bring the lumber to your burn pile. I also made a trip to Lowe’s to pick up
some Gorilla glue to repair a blind for a lady here in the park and a couple of
paint brushes for her. Nikki called later this afternoon to wish me a happy
birthday and had a very nice visit with her. I also got e-mails from Darren and
Kari. Cheri and I went out to get subs from Jersey Mikes for supper and drove
by Mike and Pam’s to check out all the flowers they have. We brought the subs
home and eat them in front for the TV along with another piece of cake. It was
a normal evening of TV. Oh yes I also watched the rest of the NASCAR race this
morning. Thank you God for a blessed day and keeping the COVID-19 away from us.

I hope you displayed the
flag today as it is Flag Day. Of course every day should be Flag Day and honor
it as many men and women have died protecting it so our country can be free. I
extended my walk this morning and added another block, had 2952 steps this
morning. We left the house at 9:20 am as our church doesn’t start until 10:00 am.
Cheri and I continue to wear our mask but most of the people were without one.
I took the morning count for people in the first service and had 98 which is
pretty good. Still have the chairs spread apart to keep the social distancing.
The same for Sunday school. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Growing through
the Storm” from 1 Peter 4:7-11. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Direction
Offered” from Proverbs 3:1-12. God provides direction to those who place their
trust in Him. Because church starts a little latter our Sunday school lesson
doesn’t get started until around 11:30 am. So it is after 1:00 pm when we get
home. Cheri fixed us an English muffin with peanut butter along with a glass of
cranberry juice for lunch. We watched a movie we had recorded and then it was
time to watch the NASCAR race I was recording. Well once again it was in a rain
delay and then a couple lighting delays. While waiting for that we watch more
of Dateline and 20/20. We had our normal Sunday evening pizza. The race finally
got going but couldn’t stay awake to watch all of it. Thank you God for a
blessed day spending time with you and our church friends.

It was misting rain when I
got up this morning. So my walk got delayed until 8:30 am. It was already
getting warm when I did get out for the walk. I worked outside on removing all
the lumber from my work area as it was getting over loaded with material that I
will never use and needed to make room for the lumber I had in the truck. I now
have a big pile to load up and take to Ron Sharp’s as he has a burn pile that
he is nice enough to let me bring my old materials to be burned. If it wasn’t
for him I would have to be paying to get rid of it. Cheri left at 9:00 am going
to the quilt shop in Dade City as she needed some material for the backing on
the table runner she is making. I quit work at 1:45 pm and was really tired and
couldn’t do anymore work. After getting cleaned up Cheri and I had a late lunch
and then headed for the recliners. Cheri watch some remodeling shows and I napped.
Late afternoon I woke up to thunder and had to go out and move my pile of old
lumber under the carport so it wouldn’t get wet for burning. I should have
moved it before I quit work but was too tired to do it then. This evening we
were invited over to Mike and Kathy’s to play aggravation. It is the first time
any of us has been together since the stay at home order. It was really good to
sit, visit, and play a game. We play four games of aggravation, Mike and I won
all of them. Thank you God for a wonderful day and being able to be with
friends again.

I had a good walk this
morning and think I am gaining strength. I worked on the cleanup from the deck
removal this morning and after lunch. The glue that had held the carpet down
needed to be removed. It was a big job as it took a lot of work to get it off.
I also reinstalled the step railing, the existing screws had been broken off in
the concrete so I had to drill new holes. Also had to reinstall the door
threshold, more concrete drilling. I was done and home by 2:30 pm. Once again I
was hot and tired as it was another 90 plus day. Cheri was busy with laundry,
working in her sewing room, and doing a new recipe for a pork roast in the
crockpot for supper. I did take a nap later this afternoon while trying to
watch a movie with Cheri. The pork roast was very good and enough for another
meal. We had a dish of ice cream while watching TV this evening. We watched a
couple shows we had recorded. One of them is called Hartland and is about horse
ranch which is very good. Then more 20/20 and First 48 Hours. Thank you God for
a bless day.

My walk went well and
starting to get back in the swing of things. I hope to expand my walk in a few
days. Right now I am walking around three blocks here in our park. It was 78
degrees when I started work at 8:00 am, back to removing the deck platform.
Once again I thought I would get done today but the heat got to me again. I
still have to put the step railing back up and clean up the glue off the edge
of the concrete where the carpet was glued down. I will have to go and buy some
special concrete bolts for the step railing. I also have a truck load of lumber
to unload into my shop. I only worked 2 ½ hours as it was too hot to continue,
91 degrees. Cheri was busy with laundry, at trip to Wal-Mart, and working in
her sewing room. Cheri joined me to watch the rest of the NASCAR race this
afternoon. This evening Cheri fixed us a ribeye steak and baked potato for
supper. No snack this evening because of the big supper. We watched a movie and
more Date Line and 20/20. Thank you God for a blessed day and keeping the
COVIN-19 away from us.

I was able to do the whole
walk this morning. I left the house at 8:00 am to remove the 6 foot by 12 foot
patio deck. It was already 80 degrees and wanted to get the project done. But
that didn’t happen by 10:30 am I had drank three bottles of water and the heat
was getting to me. So long story short I wasn’t able to finish. It was up to 90
degrees when I got home and very high humidity. I wanted to take a picture
before I stated the removal but forgot to take my phone. Cheri was busy with
her Wednesday house work and then spent the day in her sewing room until it was
time for her to leave for her eye appointment. She wasn’t home when I left for
my 4:00 pm haircut. I was back home by 4:30 pm. Cheri has to have new glasses
that should be here in a week. We had leftovers from last night for supper,
still very good. We watched the Wednesday evening church service. Pastor Randy
is still doing the study on Reservations. After the church service I tuned in
the NASCAR race I was recording. We watched it until 9:30 pm and couldn’t stay
awake any longer so we called it a night. I will watch the rest of the race
tomorrow. Thank you God for guiding us through another day and keeping us

I cut my walk short this
morning as I didn’t feel that good and had a little pain and didn’t want to
push it. Around 10:00 am I was feeling some better. So I headed over to Donna
Perkins to install the recliner lift I made. I thought about doing the patio removal
but was too hot to be doing that project. Later I made a trip to the UPS store
to return the things that Nikki got for me that I already had for the camper. I
filled the truck with gas as the price continues to rise. Made a stop at Lowe’s
to return some material I didn’t need. Had a visit with our neighbor talking
about the doggies behind us that do all the barking. He had bought a no bark
unit which needs a clear path and he doesn’t have one because of all the trees
so he brought it over here for me to install. Now I have to find a place where
it doesn’t get wet from rain. Cheri was busy with Tuesday house work, making an
eye appointment as she needs new glasses, putting pork chops in the crockpot
for supper, and making chocolate chip cookies. Plus she even spent time in her
sewing room. We had a pretty good rain come through this afternoon and received
a ¼ inch. Along with the pork chops Cheri fixed green beans and mashed potatoes
for supper, all very good. We watched the movie American Sniper, we hadn’t see
it before. We had watched an episode of 20/20 about Chris Kyle and told about
the movie at the end of the episode. Thank you God for a blessed day.

My day started at 4:30 am,
no reason other than I couldn’t go back to sleep. I walked around three blocks
which is my longest walk so far, it felt good. Cheri made us French toast for
breakfast along with juice and coffee. I worked outside on Donna Perkins
recliner project. She wants her recline raised so she can get out of it easier.
I cut pieces of lumber, sanded, drill holes, and stained them. I was really hot
after that as it is a hot humid day. I came in showered and got cleaned up.
Cheri was busy with her Monday housework. Later we made a trip to Lakeland to
pick up Cheri sewing machine that was in for repair. We also stopped at Joann
Fabrics as Cheri needed some thread. No lunch today because of the large breakfast.
We called Nikki this afternoon. She had bought me several things for my birthday
and father’s day from Amazon, Everything she bought me came with the camper
when we bought it. So we had her setup a return for the items she bought. We
also called Larry and Denise. Denise is going through a hard time as she lost
her sister who was taking care of her mother. So she has be busy with her
mother. Cheri fixed us spaghetti and garlic toast for supper and the last of
the chocolate chip cookies for dessert. This evening we watch a movie and a
couple episodes of 20/20 with a dish of ice cream. We had a couple heavy
showers come through this afternoon. Thank you God for a blessed day and safe
travels.

No walk again this morning
because of rain. But the truth is I really didn’t feel like walking anyway. Our
church was open for service today so we didn’t go to the drive in church on the
hill. I would rather had gone to the drive in church but had to be at the
church to be a greeter at the entrance. They took down half of the chairs so
people could stay six feet apart and had one way to inter the church and a
different way to leave the church. I didn’t get a count but would guess there
were around. 70 people at our service. Pastor Randy said that there were about
45 cars at the drive in service. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “How do I Respond
to Injustice?” from 1 Peter 4:1-6. Our Sunday school class was held in the
Fellowship Hall as there is more room to spread out to keep our distance. Our
Sunday school lesson was titled “Charted Waters” from Proverbs 1:7-19. God’s
word warns us of the consequences of foolish choices. After Sunday school class
we had a meeting to see about starting our Tuesday morning breakfast and accountability
group Bible study again. I think it will be in our Sunday school building and
only have coffee and maybe some donuts to start and see how it goes. It was
around 1:30 pm when we got home. We had an English muffin with peanut butter
for our lunch. We watched a movie before it was time for the NASCAR race. We
had our normal Sunday evening pizza for supper. We went out to look at the
strawberry moon but was too cloudy. Thank you God for a blessed day to spend
with you and our church friends, was good to see them in person again be able
to visit at distance.

It was raining when I got
up this morning. I tried to walk a couple of times and each time it would start
to rain. Long story short I didn’t get my walk in today. It rained all day long
some hard rains at times but only received 1 ½ inch for the day. I planned on
working in the shop today with some sawing I needed to do but the rain put a
stop to that. So it was a lazy day spent in the recliner. Cheri called again on
her sewing machine and it still wasn’t ready, they said that they would call
her when it was done. Cheri wasn’t in the mood to do anything today. So she
joined me where we did some additional Bible study, never can get enough of
that. We did more reading, Sudoku puzzles, napping, and watching TV. We did
find some good movies that we recorded to watch along with more Dateline,
20/20, and First 48 Hours. I am really starting to get into watching the actual
mysteries and how they how they bring the people to justice. We had leftover
Calver’s fish for supper along with a piece of chocolate pie. It was still
raining when we went to bed. Thank you God for helping us through this lazy
day.

I was able to get out and
walk this morning and was able to do two blocks. I feel like I am getting a
little stronger each day. Yesterday during the rain the rain gutter was running
over which means the downspouts were plugged. So first thing this morning I got
the ladder out and all the things I needed to clean the gutters. It turned out
not to be bad as there was only a small amount near the downspouts. So it didn’t
take long to get that project done. Then I went to work on the generator. By
12:30 pm I had it back together and running, so happy to have that done and
ready for the hurricane season. We once again had pancakes for breakfast so we
settled for a bowl of watermelon for lunch. I had my heart doctor’s appointment
at 2:30 pm. It was just a check to see how I was doing and not to change
anything, good news. Cheri was busy today with laundry, Friday house work, and
she even made a chocolate pie. Cheri wanted fish for supper so I made a trip to
Culver’s and got two fish dinners. We even had enough left over for another meal.
Later while watching TV we had a piece of the chocolate pie, which was really
good. We got another rain early evening, not sure how much we got but would
guess about ½ inch. Thank you God for being with us today giving us guidance
and keeping us safe.

It was raining when I got
up this morning and had rained off and on throughout the night. I did check the
rain gauge and received only one inch. I wasn’t able to walk early because of
rain. It did quit around 9:00 am just long enough for me to get my walk done.
After Bible study I decided to work on the generator but as soon as I got
outside it started to rain again. So back inside to do a little computer work
and some additional Bible study. Cheri was busy with laundry this morning. We
needed to go to church to pick up our new Sunday school lesson books, which we
did this afternoon between rain storms. Because of the rain I never did get to
work on the generator. Maybe it was just as well as I was tired all day. Cheri
had fixed us pancakes for breakfast so wasn’t that hungry at noon so Cheri
fixed us a bowl of watermelon we bought yesterday, not a very good melon. We
had leftover French bread loaf for supper and a couple of chocolate cookies. This
evening we watched a movie that we had recorded along with more 20/20,
Dateline, and First 48 Hours. We did receive 1 ½ inch of rain today. Thank you
God for a blessed day.

I didn’t sleep well and
got up tired. I did walk around the block again this morning with no problems. Cheri
and I went over to Wesley Chapel this morning to get the battery I need for the
generator. While we were over there we stopped at the Wal-Mart. It is a very
large store and everything is laid out different from the one in Zephyrhills
making it hard to find the things we wanted. We got most of the groceries we
needed and I was able to get oil and carb cleaner for the generator. We were
both really tired when we got home around noon. Cheri had fixed us scrambled
eggs, sausage, and toast for breakfast so weren’t that hungry when we got home.
We did rest for a while after Cheri got all the groceries put away. Later I went
out to buy the spark plug and gas line for the generator. I had to go to three
different places to get the gas line. I think I now have what I need to put the
generator back together and working. I was too tired to do any work on the
generator when I got home. We had a rain storm come through later this
afternoon and continued to rain off and on into the evening and night. It was a
normal evening of TV. Still trying to find good things to watch. We also had a
bowl of ice cream this evening. Thank you God for getting us through another
day safe and healthy.

Feeling even better this
morning so I walked all the way around the block with no problems. I got our
generator out of the shed and knew I would have to go through it as it hasn’t
been run for a couple of years. Naturally the battery was dead and dry rot had
over shock absorbing feet. It needs an oil change, new spark plug, new gas
line, and some tender loving care. I got on the internet to see about ordering
parts for it and found that is no long made and nothing available for it. I
will have to come up with an idea for the shock absorbing feet. I think that a
large rubber mat might do the trick. So tomorrow I plan on going out to find a
battery, gas line, oil, and spark plug. I quit work around 2:30 pm and felt
good about what I got done today. It is really hot here now, which I guess it
would be as summer weather is here. It was 90 degrees and I did have a fan running
while working. After a shower to get cleaned up Cheri and I went to check on
Larry and Denise’s house and everything was OK. We also checked on Steve and
Sue’s house as they have moved back to Vermont and had asked me to keep an eye
on it while waiting for it to sell. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work
and spending time in her sewing room. She called on her sewing machine and they
think it might be ready Thursday. Cheri also got a haircut this morning, the first
one since the virus shut in. Cheri fixed us a French bread loaf for supper. It
was a normal evening of TV and no snacks. Thank you God for guiding us through
another day and keeping us safe.

Hard to believe we are
starting a new month. When I look at some things the time flies by and other
things seem to go really slow like the virus. I felt much better this morning
and actually went out and walked down to the end of the block and back without
any problems. Plus I actually felt l doing something today. I dug out my gas
cans and took and had them filled up to be ready for hurricane season. I even
put the new stickers on the license plates. It was another hot day so waited
until I done with them things before taking a shower. I had to leave at 11:30
am for my lung scan appointment at the VA in Tampa. A lot of changes happing at
the VA, doing all kinds of test and can’t get in without an appointment. Plus
everyone has to have a mask which is a very good thing. It was 2:00 pm when I
got home. I did some computer work and a repair on the outdoor temp transmitter
which needed to be cleaned as it hasn’t worked in a long time. Cheri spent her
day in the sewing room. Later we both had done enough for the day and headed
for the recliners. We watched a movie before Cheri fixed us a hamburger for
supper. More TV after supper watching 20/20, Dateline, and First 48 Hours.
Thank you God for a blessed day and better health.

I didn’t feel that good
this morning and didn’t sleep well last night. I really thought that I should
be feeling better by now. It was still a normal Sunday for us. We left the house
at 8:30 am heading for our drive in church on the hill. Pastor Randy’s message
was titled “Suffering Defined by Jesus” from 1 Peter 3:18-22 as well as many
more from other books in the Bible. We were back home by 10:30 am preparing for
our 11:00 am Sunday school meeting on Zoom with Charlie Rodgers. Our lesson was
titled “Reach” from Romans 15:14-21, 30-33. Believers must make every effort to
share the gospel with everyone. After Sunday school class Cheri fixed us a
hotdog for lunch. The rest of the afternoon was spent watching a couple of
Amish movies which were very good. After that it was time to watch the NASCAR
race. Cheri went to her sewing room while I watched the race. We had our normal
Sunday evening pizza. We watched a couple more movies before calling it a
night. Thank you God for time spent with you and friends.
