At 8:30 am I headed to Dade City to meet Jim Wilson at the Sunday school building. We worked until noon removing carpet tack strip and hauling away old linoleum. I that we would get done today but there is still more to do. Cheri was busy with the Thursday laundry. This afternoon Cheri and I left at 2:30 pm heading to Lakeland to have dinner at Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grill. Cheri’s birthday is on Saturday but wanted to go to Harry’s today to celebrate. When we got home I got a call from a party here in the park that is in the process of removing a bathroom vanity and has a new one to install. Well it turned out to be more of a job than he could handle, so he called me. I checked it out and he has a real mess trying to remove the old vanity, he even knocked a hole in the wall that will have to be repaired. Normally I would have said no as I want to cut back on work, but felt sorry for him and told him I would work on it on Saturday. It was a normal evening of TV. Thank you God for guiding through this day and keeping us healthy.

I was tired when I got up this morning and had to force myself to do my morning walk but made it through the whole walk. I also had to force myself to work on the camper today. I was hoping to get it done today but will need one more day. By noon I was hot and not able to work outside any longer. I think Cheri was tired also today as she had a phone visit with Pam and not much else today. I removed the air conditioner vent in the bedroom so I could turn it around 180 degrees so it wouldn’t blow down on to the bed. Cheri clean it up while it was done. I also type up a plan on what type of flooring and all the additional materials that is needed for the Sunday school building. Something for the building committee so that when they go for bids everyone will be bidding on the same thing. Then I headed for the recliner where Cheri was already watching a movie. I took a two hour nap and felt some better when I woke up. Cheri planed on fixing ham slices in the air fryer grill for supper but when she got the ham out it didn’t look good so she got rid of it and we settled for a hotdog for supper. This evening we streamed the Wednesday evening church service. Pastor Randy is over the virus and was back to deliver the message. He said that he and his wife only had a mild case of the virus. Still teaching us about Revelations. Seeing what is going to happen in our world, I can’t figure out why anyone wants to turn away from God. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I left the house at 6:30 am. I made a stop at the Hole in One donut shop to pick up a dozen donuts for our accountability Bible study and breakfast. There were only five of us today as several had doctor appointments. We finished John chapter 19 and a start in chapter 20. After our Bible study we did a survive on the floor where we took up the carpeting. We need to get the old linoleum up before we could do any sanding. We worked for about an hour getting some of it up before everyone had to leave. I decided to stay and work on it and finally quit at noon. When I got home I headed for the shower to get cleaned up. Cheri went for her haircut and shopping this forenoon. We had a late lunch and rested for a bit before getting on the computer checking out floor sanders and how to get the old linoleum glue off the hardwood. After all the checking because the house is old and there was two layers of linoleum I am sure there probably is asbestos in the glue. So long story short we will have to lay vinyl plank flooring over the wood floor. So later this afternoon Cheri and I made a trip to Lumber Liquidators to get some flooring and moister barrier samples. My lunch didn’t set well so this evening we had another English muffin with peanut butter and a leftover donut form this morning. Thank you God for a blessed day and keeping us healthy and safe.

I had to be in Dade City at 8:30 am to help remove the carpeting in our Sunday school building. There were four of us doing the work. Things went well and was done removing 950 square feet by 11:00 am. The plan was to install a vinyl planking floor but there was hardwood under the carpeting and with parts of old linoleum over the hardwood. Would like to see what it would cost to have the hardwood refinished. After lunch I went and installed the faucet that I had ordered the part for. The people had been gone on a camping trip and had to wait for them to return. Cheri had put in a really bad night and was too tired to do anything today. Cheri and I spent the rest of the afternoon in our recliners napping and trying to watch some TV. Cheri fixed us an egg, sausage, and cheese muffin for supper. We watched a combination of several different shows this evening. We were both tired and went to bed early. Still getting afternoon rains, hot and humid. I still haven’t got the new rain gauge put up. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Ok because I forgot the Saturday morning breakfast I headed out at 6:30 am to the Hole in One Donut shop for what we would have gotten on Saturday morning. I was back a little before 7:00 am. It was a surprise for Cheri as she didn’t know I was going to do that. (Brownie points for me?) We left for church at 9:20 am. Church attendance was pretty low this morning only 62 at our service. Pastor Randy and his wife are waiting for a second virus test to see if they are over it. Pastor James delivered the message today. It was titled “The Priority of the Gospel” from 1 Corinthians 15:1-11. It was very powerful message which we enjoyed very much. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Pleasing God” from Proverbs 15:33-16:11. God’s people should seek to please Him in their attitudes and actions. We were back home a little after 1:00 pm. After lunch I decided I wanted to go to Lumber Liquidates to check on flooring for our Sunday school building. Cheri asked if they are open on Sundays and I said I am sure they are as we have been there before on Sunday. But I checked before leaving and found that because of the virus they aren’t open on Sundays anymore. (It pays to listen to you wife). There wasn’t any NASCAR race today so an afternoon of reading, napping, and trying to watch TV. For whatever reason Cheri nor I was interested in having pizza this evening, maybe we ate too much for lunch. We settled for an English muffin with peanut butter. Watched a couple episodes of 20/20 and called it a night. Thank you God for time spent with you and church friends.

singing happy birthday to Cheri in Sunday school.

Ok I know it is Saturday but didn’t remember that I was supposed to go to the Hole in One Donut shop. Cheri didn’t say anything when she came out as I had already had my breakfast. It was late afternoon before I realized it was donut day. Cheri worked in her sewing room today. I started the day with the caulking on the window I worked on last week. I did some additional caulking but never seen anything that looked like a place for water to get in. After that I went back to work on the camper. I got the floor done and ready to glue the linoleum back down. After lunch Cheri and I went over to Larry and Denise’s to check out the house and to clean out their refrigerator as they will not be coming back this winter. Also I worried that maybe the power would go out and the refrigerator wouldn’t start again which would make for a stinky mess. Late afternoon and evening we tried watching movies from You Tube. We started watching several and quit them as they weren’t good. We finally found one that we liked and part way through we lost the sound. So it wasn’t a good day with You Tube. Cheri fixed the leftover meat loaf and with some baked beans for supper. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and keeping us healthy.

It was a little cooler this morning and was nice for the morning walk. But was still a hot and humid day with temps still in the mid 90’s. Cheri was busy with the laundry and working in her sewing room. I took my old multi tool apart and found it needed new brushes in the motor. After checking I found a set that came with the tool. So I installed them a now it works like a new one. After that I headed out to work on the camper. I got the old floor removed, framing done, new floor cut to fit, and the vinyl covering repaired. It was good day and was by 12:30 pm. After lunch I made a trip to Harbor Freight to return the multi tool I bought yesterday. Then a stop at Lowe’s for some clear silicone to repair the window leak I worked on last week. I had gotten a text and still had a small leak. Cheri made a meat loaf for supper along with the leftover scalped potatoes. We had a dish of ice cream later while watching some movies we streamed from You Tube. Thank God for a blessed day.

I was up again at 4:00 am, guess this is my new normal for getting up. Cheri was doing laundry this morning so it must be Thursday as she always does laundry on Thursday and Friday. I headed out early to work on cleaning up the inside of the camper from all the dust I made while sanding the floor. A little later Cheri came to do the finish cleaning while I worked on the floor in the basement area. We were both done for the day at noon. Cheri did get all of the camper cleaned. I got the linoleum up and rolled back so I can remove the bad flooring. My multi tool quit working which I need to cut the old flooring. So this afternoon I went to buy a new one. I was going to get a battery powered one that would use the same battery as my other tools. But after checking the price I decided that another one from Harbor Freight would be fine. The one that quit working came from Harbor Freight 11 years ago. The battery one was going to be $140. The Harbor Freight was $26, no brainer on which one to buy. We had rain most all afternoon, don’t have the new rain gauge up but would guess we got at least 1 ½ inches. Cheri fixed the last of the leftovers from Harry’s for supper. Couldn’t find anything on TV so we streamed three old western movies from You Tube which were made in the early 50’s. Really good entertainment and no bad language. Thank you God for guiding us through this day.

The last several days I have been awake before 4:00 am so I just been getting up and doing my usual morning things. Cheri was busy with her normal Wednesday house work. She had a phone visit from Pam this morning and spent some time in her sewing room. I continued working on the camper. I did get the floor in front of the door done and all the trim put back on. I had to make two trips to Lowe’s, first one to get a floor strip to over the seam in the bedroom door way and some caulking. Then I had to go back for a different color of caulking as the first tube was too light. Now what is left to do is a good cleaning as I have sawdust everywhere from the sanding I did, hope to get that done tomorrow. We had a strong rain storm come through with a lot of wind, but didn’t last long. An hour or so later we had another storm come through. Our Wednesday night church service was presented by Pastor James. It was about the death of Lazarus from John chapter 11. Still waiting on Pastor Randy’s virus results. Cheri fixed us leftover from the meal we had at Harry’s and still have enough for another meal. This evening we watched a couple more episodes of Cedar Cove and more Dateline. Thank you God for spending time with you this evening and helping us through this day.

I was up before 4:00 am. I had many things to get done early this morning. My quiet time with God, my two mile walk, getting the blog written, and getting ready to leave the house at 6:30 am. I always leave early for the Tuesday morning accountability group breakfast and Bible study group. I stop at Burger King to get a breakfast sandwich and a large coffee. Then when I get there I get the tables set up for our group. Today there were six of us and studied the last part of John chapter 19. It was after 9:00 am when I got home. Cheri was up and had already started on her Tuesday house work. I loaded a few things in the truck and headed back to the camper to work. I worked on getting floor cleaned up and the linoleum glued down. Once again I was done early, too hot to do any more work today. When I got home Cheri said that she got a call saying her sewing machine was ready to be picked up. So after I showered and got cleaned up we headed for Lakeland to get the sewing machine. Then we headed over to Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grill for a late lunch. We were surprised how many people where there but all were seated at a safe distance. By the time we got home and settled in it was around 2:30 pm. I did some computer work and made a diagram of how I want to extend the carport roof over the existing concrete we installed several years ago. The truck has to set out in the sun and would like to have it under cover. I had to submit a form to the park office to see if I can do the project. Because of our late lunch we only had an English muffin with peanut butter for our supper. We can’t find anything good to watch on TV, guess we need to do more reading. Thank you God for a blessed day and safe travels.

I was up before 4:00 am this morning. I guess I had the camper on my mine wanting to get that project done. I wanted to get an early start before it got too hot. Cheri was busy with her normal Monday house work along with a trip to get milk. She also made a batch of chocolate cookie. I was done working by noon as it was too hot to continue and was at a good stopping place. I got the new floor board installed and sanded to be even with the existing floor. After lunch Cheri and I made a trip to Sam’s Club. The stuff we got we could have gotten here in town but needed to get out. We got water softener salt, paper towels, toilet paper, chocolate chips, and some ground beef. It was nice to get away from the house for something other than work. Cheri had pork chops marinating that she fixed for supper in the air fryer grill and scalped potatoes. Plus a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Later we had some trail mix while watching TV. Thank you God for a blessed day with safe travels and keeping us healthy.

Well this morning I had a feral cat in the trap. Cheri asked me if I checked it paw print with the prints on the truck to make sure I caught the right one. So I went out and asked him if I could have a DNA sample but told me no so I took him for a ride out in the country side. I think this is number seven that I have caught over the last three years. We left the house at 9:20 am heading for church. Pastor Randy had been exposed to someone who tested positive for the virus. He and his wife went and got tested but had gotten the results back as of today. So he streamed his message to the church. It was titled “How are Supposed to Live?” from 1 Peter 5:5-7 along with many other verses. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Living Wisely”. Following God’s wisdom leads to joy, while failing to do so leads to grief. We were back home by 1:00 pm. After lunch we called Donna Perkins as she had sent us a gift. We needed to thank her for it and had a nice visit with her. Then we tried to call Larry and Denise but our call wouldn’t go through so Cheri messaged Denise and they called us. They are just starting to open up some things in Canada. The border is still closed. We are going to go over to their place to empty out the refrigerator and turn it off. They are pretty sure that they won’t be able to come back this winter as they won’t be able to get insurance because of the virus. So they are thinking about putting the house up for sale. Later this afternoon I watched the NASCAR race. We didn’t have our normal Sunday evening pizza for supper. We had been doing some snacking this afternoon and wasn’t that hungry but later had an English muffin with peanut butter. It was normal evening with TV watching some recorded shows. Thank you God for time spent with you and church friends.

I had my morning walk and quiet time with God all done before 6:00 am. Cheri was up really early this morning not having a good night’s sleep. I left at 6:30 am to make the trip to Hole in One Donut shop for our Saturday morning breakfast. I went out early this morning before it got really hot to work on the camper. I got the floor opening frame up and a piece cut to install and that was as far as I got for the day. After I got showered and cleaned up it was time to go down to the Club House as they had three food trucks come in. We each had a Ruben in an egg roll which was very good. From one the other trucks we had chicken wings with spicy BQ sauce. I ran out of time to eat the wings as I had a 12:45 pm haircut appointment. When I got home I sat down with the chicken wings and watch TV with Cheri. We both did some napping this afternoon probably because we were up so early this morning. We had leftover shrimp scampi for supper. Later we had a dish of ice cream for dessert. We watched a couple of RV shows (still nice to dream). Also watched more 20/20 and Living off the Grid. Thank you God for a wonderful day and keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.

Yesterday morning I saw cat tracks on the truck. So it was time to set the game trap again. Well no cat this morning but did have another possum. So the first thing I did was take him for a ride out in the country side. I was back at work on the camper floor where I had the water leak. I had tried to fix it from under the camper but that didn’t work. So today I worked on removing the linoleum, was able to get it loose without any damage. I now have a hole cut in the floor to remove the damage. I need one of my special saws and only works on 120 volts. So I got the generator loaded in the truck to work on the project tomorrow. It was too hot to do anymore today. After a shower and getting cleaned up I made a trip to the bank, filled the car with gas, and a stop at Walmart for a new rain gauge, battery for the doorbell button, and windshield wiper blades for the truck. It was around 3:00 pm when I was done for the day. Cheri was busy with the bedding laundry, Friday house work, and ironing. Cheri fixed us shrimp scampi for supper and the last of the apple pie for dessert. We can’t seem to find anything good to watch on TV. I guess it is time to stream some shows from Amazon. Thank you God for a blessed day.

The fan project I did.

Yep a baby possum.

I went to work at 9:30 am which is the earliest that I can start for the people. If I had my way I would be starting at 8:00 am. I finished the caulking where I installed the two ceiling fans. They also had a problem with one of the faucets in their bathroom. The mounting nut on the bottom of the faucet was plastic and had been tightened too tight and ruined the threads. So I headed off to Lowe’s to get a new nut but they didn’t have anything that would work. So I thought maybe if I used some Teflon tape on the threads that it might take care of the problem but that didn’t work. So after lunch I headed to Home Depot but on the way I thought of anther place in town that sells all kinds of things for mobile homes. No luck there and told to check out the hardware store, no luck there and said to check with Bahr’s plumbing. No luck there either but was able to tell me that it was a Delta faucet so I headed back to Lowe’s to see if I could find the same faucet. I couldn’t find one but found one that had the same mounting nut. So I took the model number and headed home. I got on the computer and with a little searching I found what I needed. I ordered it and should be here on Saturday. By the time I got done with all of this it was already 4:00 pm. Cheri was busy with laundry along with her normal Thursday house work. She also made an apple pie that she baked in the new air fryer grill. And for supper we had New York strip steak which she did in the air fryer grill and it came out really good. It was a normal evening of TV. Thank you God for a blessed day keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.

Cheri was up and ready for the day when I got back from my walk. She had a bad night and was awake early. I thought I heard her up just before I left for my morning walk. Cheri headed out before 9:00 am to Wal-Mart to get groceries and many other things we needed. I continued with the fan project which I thought I would get done today but by 4:00 pm I had done enough. All I have left to do is some caulking and a couple of minor things. I also need to fix a bathroom faucet for them. Around 6:00 pm we had a hard rain storm come through and got just under two inches. Cheri fixed up pancakes for supper. She was going to fix steak but I knew she was tired and told her to fix something easy so it was pancakes. This evening we streamed Pastor Randy’s church service, still in Revelations. It was another good message. With all that is going to happen I can’t understand why people don’t turn to Jesus, I guess maybe they haven’t been exposed to the Bible. We all need to help disciple someone. Cheri went to bed early and I stayed up to watch the NASCAR race. Thank you God for guiding us through this day.

I was up a little after 4:00 am as I had a lot of things to get done before I left at 6:40 am for my accountability Bible study and breakfast. There were seven of us this morning. We studied the first part of John chapter 19. Cheri was also up early this morning doing her Tuesday house work and going through old paper work and old taxes. She has a bunch that needs to be destroyed. I worked on the ceiling fan project today. I had a good day and got the beam installed and all the electrical wiring run. It was after 4:00 pm when I got home. Cheri had seasoned chicken breast going in the air fryer and grill. After I showered and got cleaned up Cheri had supper ready. We had the chicken breast, creamed corn, and mashed potatoes plus a cookie for dessert. We watched two more episodes of Cedar Cove plus Date Line. We were both tired and called it a night early but watch a couple more shows in bed. Thank you God for helping us through another day. Thank you for all the blessing you give us.

I had a doctor’s and nurse appointment at 8:30 am. But it was by phone. The nurse called first to answer all the normal questions that they ask and asked me if I knew what my blood pressure was which I did because we take it every night. Then at 9:00 am the doctor called and wanted to know how I was feeling and had gone over all the paper work from my heart issue. So that was my yearly physical for the year. Oh said he did look at lab results that I had over six months ago. Cheri was busy this morning cleaning the blinds and washing windows along with her normal Monday house work. I had to help her with the back storm door window because it has a broken catch and have to use a screwdriver to get up and down. I also removed the broken screen which has be broken for a long time and now need to replace it (something that I been putting off). I made a stop at the place where I will be putting in ceiling fans in the liana and carport. I took measurements for the beam that I need to install and took down some panels to see where I could run the electrical wiring. Then made a trip to get the beam and a stop at Lowe’s for installation materials. When I got home I cut additional aluminum pieces for mounting the fans. It was 4:00 pm when I got done for the day. Cheri fixed homemade French fries in the air fryer grill and a hoagie beef sandwich for supper, very good. It was a normal evening of TV watching recoded shows. Thank you God for a blessed day and taking care of us.

I am still able to do my 2 mile walk every morning, feeling a little stronger every day. We left the house at 9:20 am heading to church. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Caring for One Another” from 1 Peter 5:1-4. Along with many other verses. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Pursuing Wisdom” from Proverbs 8:6-21. God promises to provide His wisdom to those who search for Him. It was a very good lesson. It was near 1:00 pm when we got home. When we were camping Cheri saw a commercial on TV about the Power XL Air Fryer Grill. She thought that it would be nice to have one. We talked about it and that was as far as it went. Well a few days ago I found it on line and ordered it for her. I didn’t tell here I had ordered it. Anyway it arrived today while we were in church. So it was a surprise when she opened the box. She cooked our pizza in it for supper and came out very good. We watched the last Librarian movie this afternoon and wasn’t nearly as good as the first two. After the movie I settled in to watch the NASCAR race and no rain delay. After the race we watched a couple more shows before calling it a night. The days are still very hot and humid. Thank you God for time spent with you and friends.

After getting my morning walk done, making coffee, and getting the blog done I went in by Cheri and said that I have a question for you and before I could say anything else she said yes you can go to the Hole in One donut shop to get the usual Saturday morning breakfast. So I left at 7:00 am to get the breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls. Cheri said that she was going to work in her sewing room today but was having trouble with the loaner sewing machine. So ended up in her recliner reading and watching TV.I was going to go and work on the camper but when I went in the shed there was water on the floor. It was near the wall where the kitchen sink and dish washer is. I check in the house and everything was dry, checked under the house and it was dry too. Check the water filter and water softener it was also dry. I finally found it under the sink in the shed which was a few feet from where the water was on the floor. In the shed next to the house is some vinyl siding that sets in a channel on the floor. So the water was coming from the faucet fitting and running down the wall into the channel and then running a few feet before getting on the floor. As it turned out I had everything on hand to fix the problem. Also about the same time I didn’t have any electricity in half of the shed. That project will have to wait until another day. This afternoon I had a job to check out a kitchen light. It turned out to be a florescent light that had a bad transformer. So I went to Lowe’s and got a new transformer. It sure is nice to have Lowe’s close by. By 3:30 pm I was done and back home. Cheri fixed us a ham omelet, English muffin, and juice for supper. We found a series of about four movies called the Librarian and watched a couple of them this evening, something like Indiana Jones. Thank you God for a blessed day and taking care of us.

When I left for my morning walk at 5:30 am it was already 79 degrees. So I was wet and sweaty when I got home. Seven years ago today we close on our house. Doesn’t seem like we have been here that long. We are very happy with our place and the park we live in. I worked on the camper this morning. I found that I couldn’t repair the floor from underneath and will have to remove the linoleum and cut out the damaged and replace it with new subflooring. I am going to try to remove the linoleum and reuse it. Then it started to rain so that ended the work on the camper. I got a call from Pam and Mike that they have a leaking kitchen sink faucet. I thought that I could get it apart and repair it but that didn’t work and had to go to Lowe’s for a new faucet. After the install we sat and had a nice visit. The last visit we had was before the COVID-19. It was around 5:00 pm when I got home. Cheri worked on laundry and spending time in her sewing room. For supper Cheri took the leftover pork roast and add some barbeque sauce to have on toast. We had a couple of cookies while watching TV and also a dish of ice cream later. Thank you God for a blessed day.

It was a normal morning with walk, quiet time with God, writing the blog, having breakfast time with Cheri, and coffee. Cheri was busy with laundry this morning when I left to finish the laundry room plastering. Good to have that job done as I thought it would have been done yesterday. When I got home Cheri was busy in the kitchen making peanut butter cookies with peanut butter chips and chocolate chips. She also made blue berry muffins. I was ready to go and fix the window leak and it started to rain. So I waited until later in the day after the rain and it dried up. The window project wasn’t that bad as all it needed was some new caulking. After I got cleaned up Cheri and I made a trip to Tampa Bay country to drop off some cookies and muffins at Bob and Ida Mae Conover’s as Bob had been in the hospital. I had gotten a call from the party where I had raised the vanity top and said that the project was done so we stopped to check it out. Looks really nice. On the way home we made a stop at the bank and then Jersey Mikes for Subs to have for supper. Later we had a cookie while watching TV. We were both really tired and went to bed early. Thank you God for a blessed day and keeping us healthy.

I was awake at 3:00 am and couldn’t go back to sleep. So around 3:45 am I got up. Needless to say I am tired today. Cheri put a pork roast in the crockpot to have for supper along with mash potatoes and gravy. Yep and a chocolate cookie for dessert. Cheri used the loaner sewing machine and worked on the table runner she is making. I went to the same place I was at yesterday. I worked on putting in the new dryer vent. I had to cut through three walls and some fishing to get the vent tube in place. I was going to clean up the plastering I did yesterday but it wasn’t dry so I got my fan to move the air and speed up the drying process. We played lazy this afternoon spending time in our recliners watching TV, napping, and reading. More napping for me than anything else. I should have done some work out in my shed but was too hot and humid to be out. This evening we streamed the Wednesday night church service. Pastor Randy is still in Revelation. We are really enjoying it as he makes it so easy to understand. Thank you God for guiding us through this day.

I was up at 4:15 am. I had a lot going on this morning. Quiet time with God, my morning walk, and getting the blog done by 6:30 am. Time to leave for my accountability group breakfast and Bible study in Dade City. There were six of us this morning. We finished John chapter 18. It was 9:00 am when I got home, just in time to get ready for my 9:30 am appointment. Still working on the place I worked at yesterday. Today I got the wall board install over the opening I had to have for the plumbing. Put on a coat of plaster. I came home hot and sweaty so I took a shower. Then went check out another project. A Party here in the park has a bedroom window leak that I will take look at on Thursday. Then I had several other stops to make. Sun State to get some pricing on materials for the fan installation, check Steve and Sue’s house, check Larry and Denise’s house. Lowe’s for some materials, and Wal-Mart for some windshield washer for the truck. Cheri was busy with her normal Tuesday house work. She couldn’t work in her sewing room because her sewing machine isn’t working. So after I got all of my things done we made a trip to Lakeland to get her machine repaired again. They did give her loaner to use while waiting for hers to be repaired. We had leftover beef enchiladas for supper. It was a normal evening with TV watching three episodes of Cedar Cove and a couple episodes of Date Line. Thank you God for blessed day with safe travels and time spent with you.

It was another hot and humid day. Even in the upper 70’s when I did my morning walk at 6:00 am. Cheri was busy with here normal Tuesday house work and then went into her sewing room but had a problem with her sewing machine. We just got it back from cleaning and minor repair. So we need to make a trip to Lakeland for the repair. I went and check the camper this morning and it was still dry, great news. I worked a couple of houses from ours today doing plumbing in the house so they can have the washing and dryer in the house where it was many years ago. For some reason it had been moved to the shed and when they did it they destroyed the plumbing where it was in the house. By 3:00 pm I had the plumbing done and was ready to quit for the day. I still have the wall to close up and do some plaster work which I hope to get done tomorrow. After a shower and getting cleaned I headed to the recliner and wasn’t long and I was napping. Cheri fixed us beef enchiladas for supper. She has made them before and are really good. We had heavy rain come through this evening and got a little over 1 ¼ inch. It rained so hard the downspouts couldn’t keep and the rain gutters were over flowing. It was a normal evening of TV watching some of the summer shows that we had recorded. I had a dish of ice cream, Cheri said that she didn’t want any. Thank you God for helping us through this day keeping us healthy and safe.

Our Sundays are pretty much the same every Sunday. Once again I was up early for my morning time with God and my walk. We left the house at 9:20 am for church. There weren’t very many in church this morning, maybe because of 4th of July. Of course that doesn’t mean they should skip church. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Why We Suffer?” from 1 Peter 4:15-19 along with several other Bible verses. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Following God’s Design” from Proverbs 5:3-11, 15-18. God expects His people to show His wisdom through sexual purity. Still not very many wearing mask. When we got home we had lunch and then I went out to remove the old flowers and put in the new ones. I also went over to check the camper leaks and seem that everything was dry. We got another 1 ¼ inch of rain this afternoon and evening witch came down really hard so if the camper stayed dry through it I will be able to repair the floor damage. I went to watch the NASCAR race and it was in a lighting delay which only lasted about an hour. We had are normal Sunday evening pizza for supper. Also watch some 20/20 and cold case files. Thank you God for time spent with you in church and Sunday school.

Happy Fourth of July to each and every one. Pray to bring our country back under control with God leading us. I was up early this morning. Had my quiet time with God and got my walk done by 6:15 am. While Cheri and I were having coffee this morning I asked her if she would eat a cinnamon roll and a breakfast sandwich if I went to Hole in One Donut shop. She quickly said yes so off I went to the Hole in One Donut shop. I was happy to see everyone had a mask on. The last time I was there no one was wearing one. Later this morning Cheri made a phone call to our next door neighbor to visit and then got a call from Pam. Also some time spent in her sewing room. I headed over to the camper to see it I had any leak from the rain we had but don’t think we got enough rain to find out. I took measurements of the piece of plywood I needed to repair the floor. I came home and cut it out and that was all I could do, just too hot. At 11:00 am we had a golf cart parade go by the house, 42 golf carts decorated, music, and horns. It rained a few time this afternoon and ended up with almost an inch of rain. Cheri and I went over to Lowes between the rain showers and bought some new flowers for out in front of the house. I will put them out tomorrow as it was raining when we got home with them. The rest of the afternoon was spent in front of the TV watching racing, movies, and other shows we had recorded. Cheri fixed us a hamburger with chips, watermelon, and a cookie for supper which we eat in front of the TV. Thank you God for guiding us through this day.

I was a little slower getting my walk in this morning and didn’t get done until 6:30 am. We are still having very hot humid weather. At 9:00 am it was already 83 degrees. Our neighbor caught me outside this morning and wanted me to change the batteries in her thermostat. I did that before putting a few things in the truck and going over to the camper to check the floor. It was still wet and I also opened up two more spots in the cargo area. I did more caulking to see if I can get all the leaks stopped. Need rain now to see if I got the leaks fixed. We did get a shower this afternoon but not enough to check the camper. Cheri was busy with laundry and working in her sewing room. We had leftovers from Harry’s for supper this evening, still very good. We got a call from Nikki letting us know how she is doing. She is still working in her house doing more painting in the upstairs bedrooms. She is also back to work which is great news. We watched a 20/20 this evening that had the lady from Genetic Detective on helping solve a thirty year old case which only took her two days to find the person that committed the murder, very interesting. Also watched a couple more episodes of Cedar Cove. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I didn’t walk this morning as I had other things going on. I had a fasting lab appointment at 7:30 am here in Zephyrhills VA. Well when I got there I found a sign on the door that the office was closed. I never received any notification that the office was closed. All of my appointments in Tampa where rescheduled but not so here. Cheri was busy with laundry this morning and then working in her sewing room. I headed back to Tampa Bay country to add ¼ inch to the vanity top as I had made a mistake in my measurements. So that projects done. On the way home I stopped to check out another project to install two ceiling fans in the liana and carport. The project will include installing a beam for each fan and running electrical wiring. It was 12:45 pm when I got home. Cheri and I had our lunch in front of the TV so we could relax. I had planned on working on the camper this afternoon. But neither of us was able to get out of our recliners. So nothing more got done for either of us. At 3:30 pm we headed to Lakeland to have dinner at Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grill. We enjoyed it so much last week and decided to go back today. We really feel safe eating there as everyone wears a mask and seating is far apart from other people. Going early also helps as there isn’t as many people. We were home my 6:00 pm ready for an evening of TV. Cheri found a series called Cedar Cove on the Hallmark channel that is very good. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and keeping us healthy.

I just realized it is July 1, where did June go. It sure has been a crazy year. It has already been hot and humid at 5:30 am when I walk in the mornings making for a long walk. Cheri was up early again this morning still having trouble sleeping. Cheri went for her 9:00 am haircut. When she got back she started her normal Wednesday house work and then spent time in her sewing room. I got the lumber cut for the vanity top and ready to install. I came in the house to rest, change my shirt as it was wet from sweating. We eat lunch, and then I made the trip to Tampa Bay country to do the vanity work. On the way home I took the truck through the car wash. I also took the car through the car wash. It was after 4:00 pm when I was finally done for the day and ready for a shower. Cheri had steak marinating to have for supper along with a baked potato. This evening we watched the new show Genetic Detective. We have watched a few episodes and really like it. We also streamed Pastor Randy’s Wednesday evening church service. He is still in Reservations and makes it so easy to understand. Thank you God for a bless day.

Cheri and I were both up extra early again this morning, not sure why. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work, Ironing, and working in her sewing room. I had a 9:00 am appointment to fix a drain leak under a kitchen sink. I had to replace a broken fitting. I had to take the garbage disposal down in order to replace the fitting. Will I just got back home and got a call from them telling me their garbage disposal wasn’t working. Yep I forgot to plug it back in. Then I headed to Tampa Bay Country to remove a vanity top and get measurements on what I was going to need to raise it to the bottom of the mirror for the new counter top. Then I stopped by another client that has a few things they want done but not until after the 1st of August. It was 1:30 pm when I got home. We sat down and rested while having a late lunch. I made a trip to Lowes to pick up the materials I need for the vanity. It was good to see everyone wearing a mask as they did a mandate that everyone has to wear them or could get fined. Donna Perkins and her daughter Kathy came over around 5:30 pm. Kathy came down from Wisconsin to drive Donna back for the summer. Donna wanted Kathy to see our kitchen cabinets. Donna had a list of things she wants me to do while she is gone until October. I like that as I can use it for fill in work. We had roast beef leftovers for supper. Cheri watched the rest of a movie she had started and I did some Sudoku puzzles. Then we watched a couple of Date Lines. Thank you God for a blessed day and keeping the virus away. Yes I did get my walk in this morning.
