A little warmer this
morning with a temp of 41 degrees for the morning walk. By noon I was able to
take off my long sleeve shirt while working outside. I think the temp topped
out around 62 degrees. I headed out at 6:45 am to get our breakfast sandwich
and cinnamon rolls at the Hole-in-One donut shop. I took the day off from
working away from home today. I did finally go out around 10:30 am to do some
cleaning in my shop and work space. It has gotten so bad I can’t even walk
through. I have a bad habit of not putting things away when I finish a job. Well
today was the day to take care of some of the cleanup and putting things back. My
heart wasn’t really with it and I quit at 2:00 pm. That this rate it will take
a few days to get it done. Cheri continues doing her exercises and she made biscuits
so we could have strawberry shortcake this evening. We had the leftovers from
the meal we had at Harry’s yesterday. This evening we watched the Rookie, Seal
Team, and Gold Rush. Thank you God for a more relaxing day and keeping us
healthy and safe from the virus.

Wow! 61 degrees yesterday morning for the walk and this morning it was 37 degrees. It topped out to around 70 degrees today. After Cheri got up I got the bedding into the washer. Cheri finished the laundry and made the bed, something that I had been doing because Cheri wasn’t able to do it. I went to work on the kitchen project. Dennis came a few minutes pass 10:00 to help me put up the wall cabinets. I had everything ready to go so it didn’t take long. After he left I continued putting more screws in the cabinets. Then I brought all the doors and selves over from our place and installed them. After lunch I textured the wall that I had plastered to match the existing wall. By 3:00 pm I was done for the day. After my shower and getting cleaned up Cheri and I headed to Lakeland to have dinner at Harry’s. It was 4:15 pm when we got there and there was already people waiting to get in. glad we called ahead. After dinner we stopped at Home Depot to pick up some trim I needed for the kitchen project. Also a stop at Floor Décor to get an edge piece for the kitchen backsplash which I will be installing after the get the countertops are installed. It was 6:30 pm when we got home. We settled in watching shows we had recorded along with a piece of apple pie for a snack. Thank you God for guiding us through this day.

It was another warm 61
degrees this morning but a stiff breeze and the temp was falling. We went to
the flea market this morning at 8:00 am and the temp was down to 55 degrees. We
had the breeze all day and after the sun came out it did get back to the low 60’s.
The main reason for the trip to the flea market was to get straw berries. We
got a half flat and the price was $15.00 which is the highest we have ever
paid. When we got home Cheri did her exercises, finished the laundry I had
started, and cleaned strawberries. I worked on the kitchen project and got the
panels on the back of the cabinets that you can see from the living room. I
brought over the last three wall cabinets to install. I got the leger board up
and tomorrow Dennis is going to help me put them up. So I was done early today.
Once again after my shower I tried to read some but ended up with an hour nap.
Cheri fixed us spaghetti for supper and a bowl of strawberries for dessert.
Thank you God for a productive day and keeping us healthy and safe from the
virus.
Gay Jan-27-21

It 61 degrees this morning for the walk. It was 80 degrees at 4:00 pm when I checked. Cheri was busy with exercises, walking, house cleaning, and make an apple pie. At 10:00 am I went to work on the kitchen project. Got the water faucet installed and working. Installed the cabinet doors and took measurements for panels on the back of the cabinets that show into the living room. After lunch I went to Lowes to get the material to make the panels. When I got home I set up the saw to cut the cabinet panels. By the time I got everything put away it was 4:00 pm. Time for a shower and a nap before supper. Cheri fixed us the leftover potato and kielbasa soup for supper along with a piece of apple pie. We watched Gold Rush, NCIS New Orleans, and a home improvement show before calling it a night. Thank you God for helping us through another day and keeping us healthy and safe.

The morning temp was a couple degrees colder
for the walk but was a very nice day with the temp in the mid 70’s. I left the house
at 6:30 am heading to Dade City for my accountability group breakfast and Bible
study. We studied the first part of Acts chapter seven. On the way home I made
a stop at the bank. Cheri was busy doing her exercises when I got home. I went
out and got some of the drain materials I need for the kitchen project and
started working on it at 10:00 am. Dennis came at 10:30 am to help me with the
garbage disposal. Within five minutes we had it in place. I had worked on it
for an hour yesterday trying to get installed by myself. I got the drain line
installed, the dishwasher back in place and hooked up, and made temp
countertops for the cabinets. I thought I would get the new faucet installed
but run out of time. I needed to get showered and cleaned up because we were
meeting Dick and Linda at Culvers for supper and then over to their place to
see their new kitchen cabinets. We had a nice visit and back home by 8:00 pm.
We headed to bed and watched some TV shows in bed. Thank you God for a bless
day spending time with you and the accountability group.

61 degrees this morning for
the walk, first time we have seen 60 plus in the early morning since fall. The
temp for the day was in the high 70’s, sure felt good. Cheri is doing more each
day along with her exercises. She made a crockpot of potato and kielbasa soup
to have for supper and a few more meals. She also drove for the first time
since her surgury but only here in the park to go and visit Donna Perkins.
Cheri change out the decorations and now it ready for Valentine’s Day. I continued
working on the kitchen project. I got the water lines installed in the sink base.
Also worked on the garbage disposal and couldn’t get it held in place to fasten
it in. I just don’t have the strength to hold it up. I talked to Dennis and he
is going to help me tomorrow. I was done work at 3:00 pm and really tired from
the garbage disposal. After my shower I headed to the recliner for a little
reading and a nap. The evening was spent watching TV and spending time on the
computer with Darren as he was helping me with some tax papers we need. Thank
you God for helping through another day and keeping us healthy and safe from
the virus.
Gay Jan-24-21

It was 58 degrees for the
morning walk. The high for the day was in the mid 70’s. We were kind of lazy
this morning as nothing going on until we stream the church service at 10:00
am. Well we did study our Sunday school lesson before church. Pastor Randy’s
message was titled “Challenges Facing a Disciple”. After the church service we
headed to Dade City for our Sunday school class. Our lesson was titled “Rejected”
from Luke 4:16-30. Jesus’ offer of salvation will be rejected by some, leading
to judgment. On the way home we made stop at the pharmacy so Cheri could pick
up her meds. Then a stop at Winn Dixie for some groceries that we couldn’t get
at Sam’s Club. After our Sunday pizza I headed out to Lowes for a couple of
things in need for the kitchen project. I also stopped and checked out Larry
and Denise’s house. When I got home it was time to settle in and watch the
Green Bay Packer game which they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We watched a
couple of shows we had recorded and called it a night. Thank you Got for time
spent with you and friends today.
Gay Jan-23-21

Today was a good day. It was 56 degrees this morning and able to do the morning walk in shorts, been long time since I was able to do that. Yep it is Saturday which means I went to the Hole in One donut shop for our breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls. Cheri continues to do exercises and gain a little more each day. She continues to do more around the house. She made peanut butter cookies today. I worked on the kitchen project. I got the sink base and the other two base cabinets installed. I also got the sink set in place and did some caulking around it. Monday I plan on getting the water and drain hooked up. It was 4:00 pm when I got done and headed to the shower. After I got cleaned up Cheri and I headed to Sam’s Club. On the way we stopped at Culvers for supper as we had a coupon for burgers which we eat in the car. Then it was on to Sam’s Club. Our membership was due and along with everything we bought we ended up spending over 250 dollars. Some of it was for food to donate to the church food pantry. It was near 7:00 pm when we got home. After getting things put away we settled in to watch some TV with a cookie for a snack. Thank you God for guiding us through this day.

Another nice morning walk
and the temp for the day got up into the mid 70’s. I took Cheri for her primary
doctor appointment and got a very good health report. At 11:00 am the bug man
finally showed up to take care of the German roach problem we have. He will
come back in three weeks to do another treatment. I worked at home today
rebuilding the sink cabinet for the kitchen project. I got it done and tomorrow
I will take and install it, in hopes everything lines up. Because of the
spraying in the kitchen I went and got subs from Jersey Mikes to have for
lunch. There prices have gone up and thought that they were too high before.
Getting to be too pricey for a sub sandwich and probably won’t be going much
anymore. Cheri fixed us a sausage and
cheese omelet with an English muffin for supper. This evening we watched the
Chicago shows and a home remodeling show. I forgot to take a picture of the
rebuilt sink cabinet and will try to remember to do it tomorrow. Thank you God for a blessed day keeping us
healthy and free from the virus.
Gay Jan-21-21

It was a little warmer
this morning with a temp of 46 degrees actually got up into the low 70’s. Cheri
was busy with exercises and laundry today. I headed over to work on the kitchen
project. I had to turn off the water and cut water pipes under the sink in
order to get the old sink cabinet out. I got the new cabinet set in to see
where to cut the holes for the water and drain pipes. Then took the cabinet
home so I can rebuild it for the farm house sink. The reason for the rebuild is
because they have a 30 inch sink to go into a 30 inch cabinet. I have to cut
the sides and reinforce it for the heavy cast iron sink that weights way more
than I can lift myself. I also cut a test piece to connect to the next cabinet
as it is at an angle from the sink base. It was 2:30 pm when I got done and
didn’t have the energy to start the rebuild. After a hot shower and pain cream
on my back and shoulder which I am still having a lot of pain. I did some reading
and napping before supper. Cheri fixed us baked chicken fingers and fresh fried
potatoes with milk gravy for supper. We finished the last episodes of Alone, we
watched all seven seasons. Thank you God for taking care of us today.
Gay Jan-20-21

A little warmer this morning with a temp of 43 degrees. I left the house at 8:45 am to install a new garbage disposal for church friends. It was different than any I have installed before. It took me a while to figure it out. I was back home by 12:15 pm. The bug man was supposed to be here at 10:30 am and never showed up and never called or anything. I guess it’s time to look for a different bug man. At 1:00 pm I went to work on the kitchen project demoing the other side of the kitchen. All that is left to remove is the sink base cabinet. I didn’t want start on it late in the day not knowing what kind of water problem I might have. I was done by 3:00 pm. I am not sure what all Cheri did today but do know that she did her exercises. We had the last of the leftover beef vegetable soup for supper. Later we had a dish of ice cream for a snack while watching more episodes of Alone. Thank you God for a blessed day taking care of us.
Starting the demo This is all that is left of the demo. A project for tomorrow,
Gay Jan-19-21

36 degrees this morning
for the walk. I had to put on an extra layer to keep warm. I left the house at 6:30 am heading to Dade
City for my accountability group breakfast and Bible study. We finished Acts
chapter six. It was around 9:00 am when I got home. Cheri was on the hunt for a
gecko that was in the house. She had just caught it and flushed it down the
drain. She continues doing her exercises twice a day along with walking in the
house. She is doing more work each day. Today she vacuumed the floors and
mopped them. She also cleaned both bathrooms. I headed over to for the kitchen
project. I got the microwave installed and temporary countertops installed. I
was done by 2:30 pm. Cheri fixed us a grilled ham and cheese sandwich for
lunch. After my shower I headed for the recliner where I read some before
taking a nap until supper time. This evening we watched more episodes of Alone.
Thank you God for time spent with the accountability group learning your word.
Thank you for keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.

It was 43 degree this
morning for the walk. Cheri continues to improve a little each day. She is very
good about doing all the exercises twice each day. Today she make a crockpot of
beef vegetable soup to have for supper. I worked on the kitchen project today.
I got the air vent cabinet install and the one next to it. I still have to
install a temporary counter top until they can get someone in to measure for
solid surface top. That can’t be done until I get the other side of the kitchen
done. I also need to get the microwave installed. I was done with work at 3:00
pm, nice to be done early. After my shower we sat and relaxed a while before
having soup for supper, it was very good. This evening we watched more episodes
of Alone. We are really hooked on this show watching it on Dish demand. Thank
you God for helping us through this day and keeping us healthy and safe from
the virus.

It was 45 degrees for the
morning walk. We took our time getting around this morning as we didn’t have
anything until 10:00 am when we streamed the church service. Pastor James and
Pastor Stephen were out because they had been exposed to the virus. After the
church service we headed to Dade City to attend Sunday school. Our lesson today
was titled “Compassionate” from Luke 6:27-38. Jesus expects His followers to
show compassion and mercy to others. On the way home we stopped at the grocery
store to pick up some milk and soup. It was after 1:00 pm when we got home.
Cheri started the oven for the Sunday pizza. I got it out of the freezer and
added some additional toppings. While eating the pizza we watched another episode
of Alone which I had trouble staying awake for. I ended up taking a long nap
while Cheri watched a movie and read in her novel. We watched NCIS New Orleans
and a home improvement show before spending the rest of the evening watching
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football game. Thank you God for a day spent with you
and friends.
Gay Jan-16-21

The walk this morning was
in the low 40’s and the high for the day was around 60 degrees with a stiff breeze
this afternoon. Cheri slept in later today and I didn’t leave to get our
Saturday morning breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls until 7:15 am. I didn’t
want to do any work outside today but had to get the cabinet done today so it
can be painted and ready to install on Monday. Cheri fixed us a grill ham and
cheese sandwich for lunch with some chips and chocolate chip cookie. I finished
the cabinet around 2:00 pm. After I delivered it and got all the tools put away
I headed for a nice hot shower. Cheri did her exercises and spent most of the
day relaxing and reading her novel. After my shower I tried to read the Sunday
school lesson but only got part way through it as I couldn’t stay awake. We got
a call from a Jim Wilson (church friend) saying he was going to deep fry up a
bunch of fish he caught and said that he would have some hot fish ready for us
at 3:00 pm. I went to pick it up and he brought it out to the car. So we had an
early supper which was very good. Thanks Jim. We watched more episodes of Alone
and the Green Bay Packer football game which they won. Thank you God for a
blessed day getting my project done and keeping us healthy and safe from the
virus.
Gay Jan-15-21

It wasn’t as nice as
yesterday but still a good day. After Cheri got up and in the shower I got the
bedding in the washing machine. I had breakfast by myself this morning as Cheri
had a fasting lab. We left the house at 8:00 am for Cheri’s lab. After the lab
we headed over to the place where Cheri has her PT. We had a half hour wait
before she could go in. I stayed in the car and read while she was doing the
PT. When we got home Cheri eat a late breakfast and I headed out to Tampa Bay
country to pick up the rest of the patio deck and the aluminum. Gayloria had a
few other things she wanted help with along with checking the bathroom exhaust
vents. I took them apart so she could clean them. I will have to go back and
change out one of the vents and do some repair on another one. Then I headed
for the transfer station to get rid of the lumber from the deck. My last stop
was the recycle plant to drop of the aluminum which I got $47.00 for it. It was
late when I got home and Cheri heated up the last of the shrimp scampi for a
late lunch. I got a call and a lady here in our park wanted me to check out
installing a light and fan in her spare bedroom. There never was a ceiling
light in the bedroom and would have been too much work to do it so I gave her
some other options she could do. On the way back to the house I stopped by
Donna Perkins as she wanted me to pick up an area rug from Lowes for her. She
now has decided to wait on it. It was too late to do any work on the cabinet I
am building. I was ready for a nice hot shower as my shoulder and back were
hurting. After the shower I got the bedding out of the dryer and made the bed.
There is still several things that Cheri isn’t able to do. She did continue to
work on tax papers. She made chip beef gravy over scrambled eggs on toast for
supper. It was another evening watching episodes of Alone. Thank you God for a productive
day and keeping us healthy and virus free.
Gay Jan-14-21

It was a little warmer
this morning and had a nice day for working with a high around 72 degrees. As
soon as Cheri got up and had her shower I got the laundry started. I got one
load in the dryer and another started. Cheri finished the laundry as I had to
leave at 8:30 am. Working in Tampa Bay country taking down aluminum framing and
remove the decking. I had a friend (Frank) help me. It was a big job and had it
all tore apart by noon. Then for lunch at BK. At 1:00 pm we carries everything
to the street and loaded the truck. By 2:15 pm the truck was loaded. Frank
headed home and I headed out to the transfer station to get rid of the load of
lumber I had. I pulled out of the transfer station at 3:00 pm and was home by
3:30 pm. I will have to go back tomorrow as there is still part of a load to
take to the transfer station and the aluminum framing to the recycle center. Cheri
was busy this afternoon working on tax papers. I headed for the shower and then
to the recliner for a nap before supper. Cheri fixed us philly cheese steak sandwiches
for supper. This evening we watched more episodes of Alone. We had some ice
cream for a snack while watching TV. Thank you God for a blessed day.

It was a little colder
this morning with a temp of 50 degrees but had a stiff breeze which made it
feel colder. Sundance and the HOA are working on getting things set up so we
can get our COVID shots here in the park. I took Cheri for her 9:00 am haircut.
I was planning today to finish the cabinet I am building. But with the stiff
breeze it was too cold on my hands to do the work. Beside I had an eye
appointment at the VA and had to leave for that at 12:45 pm. On the way home I
took the car through the car wash. When I got home I decided to take the truck
through the car wash. That pretty much took care of my day. Cheri continued
with her exercises and fixed leftover shrimp scampi for supper. We watched
several episodes of Alone. I don’t think our temp today got above 55 degrees
and never did see any sun. Thank you God for a blessed day keeping us safe.
Gay Jan-12-21

It was 59 degrees this
morning, nice for walking. I left the house at 6:30 am heading to Dade City for
my accountability group breakfast and Bible Study. We finished Acts chapter
five. It was near 9:00 am when I got home. Cheri was already busy with exercises
and doing some house work. I went out to my shop and started building the air
return cabinet for the kitchen project. By noon I had everything cut out except
for the cabinet front. I had to go to Lowes to get the materials for that part.
I got a call that the truck was done. So called Dennis and he took me to pick
it up. Glad to have that back. The rest of the afternoon was spent assembling
the cabinet. All that is left is the front which is going to take longer to make.
It was a nice day to be out working with a temp in the low 60’s. This afternoon
Cheri made chocolate chip cookies and shrimp scampi for supper. This evening we
watched more episodes of Alone and finished season two. I got a call today that
I can get the virus shot at the VA but want to be able for Cheri and I to get
it at the same time. Thank you God for helping us through this day and time
spent with the accountability group.

Gay Jan-11-21

It was a couple of degrees
warmer this morning for the walk. We left the house at 8:45 am taking Cheri for
her PT. Looks like she will only have one more on Friday and will continue with
exercises at home. I called 8:30 am on my truck this and it is still not done.
The guy I needed to talk too was busy with a customer and was told he would
call me. Well never heard anything until 4:00 pm telling me it was done but
wanted to take it out for a test drive and would let me know tomorrow when I
can pick it up. Later this morning I took another cabinet over to the kitchen
project, had hard time getting it leveled up and matching the cabinet I put in
on Saturday. I was done for the day at 2:30 pm. It was too late to start on
building a cabinet for the furnace air return. I showered and headed to the
recliner to do some reading which didn’t last long as I couldn’t stay awake. Cheri
fixed pork chops in the crockpot to have for supper. This evening we watched
NCIS LA, Magnum, and a couple episodes of Alone. Thank you God for a blessed
day.
Gay Jan-10-21

It was 43 degrees this
morning with a stiff breeze for the morning walk. It was a normal morning
getting around for the streaming of the church service at 10:00 am. Then out
the door at 11:00 am to go for Sunday school, our first Sunday to be in Sunday
school for two months. Sure was nice to see everyone. Our lesson today was
titled “Prepared” from Luke 3:7-18. Jesus is the promised Messiah who brings
judgment. By the time Sunday school was over Cheri’s knee had stiffened up but
still wanted to go to Wal-Mart as she needed makeup and a few other things. I
couldn’t believe how busy Wal-Mart was, the parking lot was almost full. I
dropped Cheri off at the door and then parked the car. Cheri was able to walk
the whole store to get the things we needed. Because of all the people there
was a lot of empty shelves, but got everything we needed. I picked up Cheri at
the door so she wouldn’t have to do more walking. It was around 2:00 pm when we
got home. Time to get the oven started to have our Sunday pizza. We eat in
front of the TV while watching the rest of the Buccaneer’s football game. We
watched a combination of different shows we had recorded. Around 6:30 pm I
fixed us an English muffin with peanut butter and a glass of juice. We also
watched Gold Rush and Dateline before calling it a night. Thank you God for
getting us out to be with Sunday school friends and keeping us healthy and safe
from the virus.
Gay Jan-9-21

A little colder this
morning with a temp of 48 degrees. At 6:45 am I headed for the Hole-in-One
donut shop for our usual Saturday morning breakfast sandwich and cinnamon
rolls. I headed out at 10:00 am to work on the kitchen project. I got the rest
of the electrical done on the cabinet wall and move two cabinets over from our
sunroom. Of course the cabinets I needed where way behind all the other
cabinets. I came home at noon and fixed soup for lunch which was good on cool
day. After lunch I got one of the cabinets set and was done for the day at 3:15
pm. Cheri did her exercises this morning and again this afternoon. When I got
home she was relaxing and reading her novel. After my shower I joined her and
read the Sunday school lesson. Cheri fixed us a couple of hotdogs to go along
with the leftover potato salad. We watched the rest of season one of Alone.
Then watched Blue Bloods and after that it was time to watch the Buccaneers
football game but could only stay awake for the first half of the game. Thank
you God for guiding us through this day.
Gay Jan-8-21

Had a temp of 58 degrees
this morning for the walk. After Cheri got up and in the shower I got the
bedding in the washer and ready to start when Cheri got out of the shower. When
someone is in the shower it is a rule in our house no one uses any water.
Because it will affect the water temp at the shower. We left the house at 8:45
am headed for Cheri’s PT. While she was doing her PT I went to Lowes to get
some screws I needed for the cabinet install today. At 10:30 am I headed over
to the kitchen project with a cabinet on my dolly as I was keeping the new
cabinets in our sunroom. Dennis came at 10:45 am to help me install the
cabinets. I use to be able to do it by myself but no longer have the strength
to do it anymore. Dennis was a big help and had the boxes up by 2:00 pm. Dennis
headed for home and I went home for a late lunch and then back to install the
selves and doors plus a little electrical work. By 3:30 pm I was done as I ran
out of energy to do any more work. After my shower and getting cleaned up I
headed to the recliner to join Cheri. Cheri had been reading her novel and also
fixed potato salad and hamburgers for supper. This evening we continues watching
more episodes of Alone. We have been watching it on Demand from Dish network.
Season one started out with ten guys and by the seventh day there where only
four left. Thank you God for a productive day and keeping us healthy and safe
from the virus.

It was warmer this morning
with temp of 48 degrees for the walk. With the new grab bar in the shower Cheri
was able to get out by herself. I did get the Thursday laundry started early
and Cheri help with the other loads. Cheri was busy doing her morning exercises
when I left to take our truck in to the dealership to have an oil leak repaired
and to do the radiator flush and new antifreeze. So I will be without a truck
for a few days. Being I am working two doors away I can manage without the
truck. While I was gone with the truck the bug man came and sprayed in the
house and outside. In the last few weeks we have picked up some German
cockroaches. I had spray for them but what I had didn’t take care of the
problem. We couldn’t figure out how we got them and the bug man said that they
can come in on something new we bought or even fresh produce. Anyway they will
come back two more time to spray. We want all the spraying to dry before using
the kitchen. So I headed to BK for a couple of whopper burgers, fries, and
drinks for 10 dollars. After lunch I went to work on the kitchen project. I got
my ledger board up and one cabinet installed. I now will have to have help
installing the upper cabinets. Dennis the guy I walk with is going to help me
tomorrow. After my shower and getting cleaned up I headed out to Calver’s to
get a three piece fish dinner which we split for supper. Once again we watched
Alone and finished with season seven and now have gone back to the beginning
watching season one. Thank you God for a blessed day helping us with our
projects and keeping us healthy.

It was a 40 degrees morning
for the walk. It was a normal morning helping Cheri and getting breakfast. We
left the house at 8:45 am taking Cheri for her PT. While she was doing her PT I
went over to Lowes to get an additional grab bar to put in the shower for
Cheri. When we got home I put up the grab bar. I got a call from a church
friend that was having trouble with their toilet, so headed over to their place
to check it out. Turned out that I had to put in a new gasket. I had planned on
working on the kitchen project but the painting wasn’t done. I went to Bealls
to pick up the new shoes I ordered. Cheri continues to do her exercises, never
used the cane today. She continues to do more around the house. Later this
afternoon we read and watched more episodes of Alone. Cheri fixed us Philly cheese
steak sandwiches for supper. After supper I had a 6:15 pm haircut appointment
which I should have had a couple of weeks ago but with Christmas and New Years
it didn’t happen. This evening we watched more episodes of Alone. I guess you
could say we are hooked on the reality show. We had some ice cream for a snack
this evening. Thank you God for guiding us through this day keeping us healthy
and safe from the virus.

42 degrees this morning. I
left the house at 6:30 am heading to Dade City for my accountability group
breakfast and Bible study. There were eight of us this morning and finished
studying Acts chapter four. It was a little after 9:00 am when I got home.
Cheri was up and had done her exercises was starting on vacuuming the floor.
She did all of her walking today without the cane and walker. I did the final
coat of plaster on the kitchen project and they are going to paint tomorrow. Should
be able start on installing cabinets on Thursday. This afternoon I went to the
Chevrolet dealership and made an appointment on Friday to fix the temp problem
and flush the radiator and new coolant in the truck. Also did grocery shopping
a Publix’s because there were some things Cheri wanted that we can’t get at
Winn Dixie. It took me awhile to find things because I am not familiar where
things are. Cheri fixed us chip beef gravy over scrambled eggs on toast for
supper. We started watch a series on demand called Alone. We watched two and a
half episodes. It is a reality series surviving the wilderness. Also tried to
do some reading but couldn’t stay awake. Thank you God for a blessed day.

The cold has returned as
it was 43 degrees this morning for the walk. It was normal morning getting
things done. Cheri was ready for her PT and I got ready to head out and was
checking the calendar and found she didn’t have PT this morning. So she did her
morning exercises. I headed out to work on the kitchen project to put on the
second coat of plaster. I was done by 1:00 pm. I have been having a lot of pain
in my back and hard to do any work. I hurt it a couple weeks ago installing the
hot water heater. So this afternoon I rested taking it easy. I tried to read my
novel but couldn’t stay awake. So after
a nap I was able to do more reading. This evening we had leftovers for supper
and then another evening with the TV. We watched NCIS LA, NCIS New Orleans, and
two episodes of Expedition Ex. Thank you God for helping us through this day
keeping healthy and safe from the virus.

It was 71 degrees this morning
for the walk and that was the high for the day. I helped Cheri with her shower
and got the bed made. Then I fixed us scrambled eggs, bacon, cinnamon raisin
toast, juice, and coffee for breakfast. While Cheri was doing her exercises I
sprayed for bugs in the house and changed the air filter. By the time I got
shaved and dressed it was time to set up the computer to the TV to stream the
10:00 am church service. Pastor Randy’s message was about being a good disciple
from Matthew 28:18-20. After church service we streamed the Sunday school
lesson titled “Matured” from Luke 2:41-52. Jesus, as the unique Son of God,
experienced human life fully and without sin. After Sunday school I put the
pizza in the oven to have while watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football
game. As soon as it was over it was time to watch the Green Bay Packer football
game. We watched three episodes of Joanna Gaines Magnolia Table and Alaska the
Last Frontier. Thank you God for a blessed day spending time with you.

It was another nice warm
68 degree walk this morning with a slight breeze. Cheri slept in until I woke
her up as I was checking to see if she was up. I told her I was going to
Hole-in-One donut shop to get the usual Saturday morning breakfast sandwich and
cinnamon rolls. While Cheri was doing her morning exercises I read some in my
novel before leaving at 10:00 am to work on the kitchen project, was able to
get the first coat of plaster on. I was done by noon and took my shower and
then got lunch for Cheri and me. Cheri did some house work and washing some
dishes. We spent a quiet afternoon reading and napping. Cheri fixed us a new
recipe called Frito Pie for supper. Not the best and have enough for two more
meals. This evening we watched Gold Rush and Property Brothers. Thank you God
for a more laid back day taking it easy this afternoon and keeping us healthy
and safe from the virus.

Happy New Year to
everyone. Let’s all look forward to a better year with an end to the COVID 19.
We had another nice warm 68 degrees for the morning walk, unheard of for this
time of the year. The normal morning would be in the low to mid-fifties. Helped
Cheri with her shower and got the bedding in the washer which is a Friday morning
thing. Cheri continues to faithfully do all of her exercises. She made a batch
of Chocolate chip cookies for me. At 10:00 am I went and worked on the kitchen
project installing the drywall and finished by 4:00 pm. If I can find the
energy I would like to put on a coat of plaster tomorrow. Cheri got things
ready for a new recipe to have for supper and then we decide to hold off on
that until Saturday and have leftovers for supper. This evening we watched
several episodes of Alaska Last Frontier. Thank you God for bringing us into a
new year keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.

It was 69 degrees this
morning for the walk, wore a shot sleeved shirt and shorts. Forty degrees
difference in four days. I got a load of laundry in early after Cheri had her
shower. Got that one done and another started before taking Cheri for her 9:45
am knee doctor appointment. She got a good report and will continue with PT for
another two weeks. On the way home stopped at UPS store to return some shoes I
had ordered from Amazon that were too wide. After lunch I cleaned out the truck
bed and went to Lowe’s to get a couple of sheets of drywall for the kitchen
project. I got the drywall delivered and in the house ready for install. I will
work on that tomorrow as too tired to do anymore today. Cheri was busy with exercises,
finished the laundry, and made supper. She did some walking without the cane.
Cheri had checked and Bealls department store and had the shoes I wanted so
stopped and they didn’t have any in my size so came home and ordered a pair on
line from Bealls, free shipping if I pick them up at the store. I don’t
remember what all we watched on TV this evening, trouble finding anything worth
watching. No celebrating of the new year for us. I did wake up at midnight to
all kinds of fireworks going off which lasted for will over fifteen minutes. Thank
you God for Cheri’s good report and keeping us healthy and safe.
