It was 72 this morning and
got up into the low 90’s for the day. I was out the door at 6:30 am heading to
Dade City for my accountability group breakfast and Bible study. We had eleven
guys this morning. We studied Acts chapter twelve. When I got home I cleaned
out the truck bed so I would have room to bring the old toilet and vanity top
home. I was near 11:00 am when I got to work on the bathroom project. I
finished the last little plaster touch up and got the electrical ready for the
new light fixture. Tomorrow they are going to have the bathroom painted and
then I will go back Thursday to install the vanity top, mirror, light fixture,
and some trim work. I also stopped at another place that had an electrical
problem from a house inspection. I need to add a new breaker to the main box
and move a circuit to the new breaker which I also plan on doing on Thursday. I
was back home by 2:30 pm and got the truck unloaded before calling it a day.
Cheri had been busy with housework and making beef stroganoff for supper. After
taking a shower and cleaning up I tried to do some reading but that didn’t last
long. After about an hour’s nap Cheri had supper ready. This evening we watched
Rock the Block and Alaska the last Frontier. Thank you God for time spent with
you and guiding us through the day.

It was 70 degrees this
morning and warmed to the mid 80’s and was cloudy most of the day with a little
sprinkle. I worked over in Tampa Bay country today. I worked on getting the toilet
replaced which was a big job. Whoever install the floor tile used tile grout
around the base of the toilet and had a hard time getting it free from the
tile. Then they had put a bunch of grout under the toilet. I had to use a
hammer and chisel to remove all of it before installing the new toilet. I did
some touch up on the plaster and think it is ready for paint. I installed the
new faucet on the vanity top and have that ready to set in place after the
painting is done. It was after 3:30 pm when I got home. Cheri worked on
insurance papers and did some grocery shopping along with her normal housework.
Cheri made swift steak with mashed potatoes for supper. I forgot to set the
recorder for the NASCAR race that was rained out yesterday but was able to
watch the last half the race. We also watched the Rookie. Thank you God for
helping us though this day.
Gay Mar-28-21

I forgot to mention that I did go to the Hole-in-One donut shop yesterday morning for our usual breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls. This morning it was 72 degrees so was able to walk without any jacket. It was in the high 80’s with high humidity today. We left the house at 9:30 am heading for church and Sunday school. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “We glorify Him through the cross!” from Galatians 2:20. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Worshiped” from Luke 19:29-40. Jesus is worthy of our worship and praise. I had ordered pizza from Domino’s to be picked up at 1:00 pm and was about five minutes early which was ok and know it was just made, also got a cheese steak sandwich to have for supper. The NASCAR race was rained out and will be run tomorrow afternoon. We watched a couple of movies, Dateline, 20 20, and a home improvement show. Thank you God for time spent with you friends today.

It was 67 degrees this
morning and a high of 88 degrees. I didn’t plan on any work away from home
today has I wanted to get a few things done around the house. Well that didn’t
happen. I checked our cell phone bill this morning and found that it was 50
dollars more than it should be. So we decided to go to a phone store to get it straighten
out. The store didn’t open until 10:00 am. We were there around 10:15 am and
waited for half an hour before we were waited on. I had a copy of the bill that
I had printed out this morning. They went over it with us and found that we had
a $27.00 phone call to Canada and we have free calling to Canada and Mexico.
Next there was an added charge for some kind of special voice mail and another
added charge for some kind of video gaming. Well with the help of the store and
having to call customer service and waiting on hold for over half an hour. I am
not a very patient person but learning to be more patient in my walk with God, Witched
helped to keep my cool. Long story short everything was taken care of and back
to a normal cell bill. It was after noon when we got done so Cheri and I went
to DQ for lunch. Which we could only get on the drive through. We each had a
burger, fries, drink, and a Blizzard to have later in the day. It was the most
I have ever spent at a fast food place. Just the Blizzards were $10.00 and only
a medium size. I got a call from Donna Perkins telling something was wrong with
the ceiling fan in the spare bedroom and the light wouldn’t work. So Cheri and I
went over to check it out while Cheri and Donna visited. Well she is going to
need a new fan. After a visit we headed home. Now it was too late in the day to
start on any of the projects I planned on doing today. So we had our Blizzard
while watching TV. Of course after the Blizzard I had to have a nap. We only
had an English muffin with peanut butter for supper because of the big lunch
and Blizzards. We watched Magnum, Dateline, Blue Bloods, a movie, and Airplane
Repo. I managed to stay awake through most of the shows. Thank you God for a
blessed day.

It was another nice
morning with a temp at 64 degrees but got up to 90 degrees today with high humidity.
Cheri was busy today with laundry and housework along with her exercise and
riding the bike. She still has swelling in her knee but seem to be getting
better. I left the house at 8:45 am heading back to Tampa Bay country for the
bathroom project. I put on another coat of plaster and then went outside to
replace the patio post. When I got one done I check the plaster but was still
wet so went back out and replace the other post. With the hot day and the
humidity it was just about more than I could handle. It was a long day and didn’t
get home until after 5:00 pm. Cheri started supper (leftover jambalaya) as soon
as I got home so I headed to the shower to get cleaned up. I usually have time
to relax before supper but not today has supper was ready when I got cleaned
up. This evening I napped through most everything we watched, don’t even
remember what it was we watched. Thank you God for a blessed day helping us through
it.

It was 62 degrees for the
morning walk and got up into the mid 80’s today. I worked over in Tampa Bay
country, still working on the bathroom project. I worked on grinding off some
sheet rock to even out the backsplash where it comes to the wall. The vent pipe
in the wall was causing it to bow out. I got another coat of plaster on the
wall and think one more coat and it will be done and ready for paint. I
installed the picture hooks on the outside house wall. I took measurements on
the posts that has to be changed out where the patio was. So I was done by noon
and headed for home with a stop at Sun State to get the new post and installation
parts which wouldn’t be ready until after 2:30 pm. I couldn’t wait to get in the
shower as I was covered with plaster dust. I tried to watch TV with Cheri but
was soon asleep. Cheri was busy with laundry and other house work. She made
jambalaya for supper which was really good and will have leftovers tomorrow.
This evening we watched The Last Alaskan Frontier, Swat, Seal Team, and a
couple of home improvement shows before calling it a night. Thank you God for
helping us through this day and keeping us healthy.
Gay Mar-24-21

The temp this morning was
58 degrees and warmed to the upper 70’s. I found out today my walking partner
will be back walking with me on Monday. I couldn’t work in Tampa Bay country today
as the plaster needed an extra day to dry. So the plan was to get some work
done around home. Well this morning while doing Bible study I got a call from a
place here in the park that had a plugged toilet. So I went to see what I could
do. I used my drain snake and went in 25 feet and didn’t find anything. Strange
because the other toilet work fine. So long story short they will have to call
a plumber with the right equipment. Cheri has been wanting to go and get paper
titles for our car and truck. So we headed to Dade City to get that done. We
had to wait in line for almost an hour before we got taken care of. On the way
home we stopped at BK for lunch to take home. While we were eating lunch I got
another call from a party here in the park that said they had a leak under
their sink. I was worried because a couple of weeks ago I installed a new
kitchen faucet. Well it turned out to be the sink drain was leaking. The PVC
pipe had come apart which I thought was strange. Well it turned out that two
connections were never glued together and had been that way for a few years. So
I cleaned everything up and installed a couple new pieces of PVC and problem
solved. This being Wednesday it was car wash day and the car and truck needed a
washing, a lot of tree pollen on them. By the time I was done with the car and truck
it was after 5:00 pm. So much for getting some work done at home. Cheri fixed
us BBQ chicken tenders along with potato salad and strawberry short cake for
dessert. We watched some home improvement shows and called it a night. Thank
you God for a blessed day.
Gay Mar-23-21

The temp this morning for
the walk was 54 degrees and no wind. It turned into a nice day with the temp in
the mid 70’s. I was out the door at 6:30 am heading to Dade City for my accountability
breakfast and Bible study. There were 11 of us this morning and we finished Acts
chapter 11. Because of the Bible study I didn’t get to work in Tampa Bay
country until 10:00 am. I tried something new for patching the opening where
the medicine cabinet was. It is called a California patch. Well it didn’t work
for me and ended up with a big mess. It will probably take me an extra day
plastering to get it fixed correctly. I did get a second coat of plaster on the
other parts. I also prepared a picture that will be hung out side in the patio.
Then hung a bracket on the concrete to hang a lantern. I was done at 1:00 pm
for the day. I ate my lunch on the way home and made a stop at Lowes to pick up
some special hooks for the picture on the patio. When I got home I got all the
recycling set out for tomorrow. Not sure what Cheri did today as we never
really had time to talk. I left the house again at 5:30 pm as it was our men’s
night out. We had sloppy Joes along with baked beans and dessert. There were 16
of us and had a devotion on the Holy Spirit. It was around 8:30 pm when I got
home. We watched Rock the Block before calling it a night. Thank you God for
guiding us through this day.

It was 57 degrees for the
walk this morning. It was a light jacket all day for me. I think the temp did
get into the low 70’s with a stiff breeze. Cheri was busy with house work and
also made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for me. I left the house at 8:45 am
heading back to Tampa Bay country to continue working on the bathroom project.
There has been another change. I had to remove the medicine cabinet and will be
sheet rocking the opening. Also remove the in wall towel rack and more wall
patching to do. So couldn’t do much rebuilding today. I did get the wall ready
behind the old mirror and got a coat of plaster on it, not happy with the way
it came out. So did some cutting to get the new vanity top to fit. I was back
home by 1:00 pm as I could do anymore until plaster dries. I found a piece of
sheet rock and got it cut and ready to take and install in the medicine cabinet
opening. It was near 4:00 pm when I got done for the day. After a shower and a
nap I was ready for Supper. Cheri made potato salad and foot long hot dogs for
supper. We also got news today that our neighbor passed way this morning. She
had been fighting cancer for a few years. This evening we watched Life below zero
which I napped through. Also watched an episode of First 48 Hours. Thank you
God for a blessed day keeping us healthy and safe.

It was 54 degrees for the
walk this morning and a high in the upper 70’s. Cheri and I headed out at 9:30
am. It was the first time back to church since October. Pastor Stephen
delivered the message today as Pastor Randy was teaching the children this
morning. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Worthy?” From Luke 18:9-17. God
welcomes those who approach Him in humble and simple faith. It was so good to
be back with our Christian friends to be able to fellowship with them. This
morning I called in to Dominos for a pizza to be picked up at 1:00 pm. We had
another coupon to get two pizza’s for $5.99 each or one pizza and one other
side. So we had one pizza and chicken wings. This afternoon we relaxed reading,
napping, and watching TV. We did watch a movie that I napped through. Later it
was time for me to watch the NASCAR race that Cheri napped through. Later we
had a piece of strawberry pie and nothing for supper as we were both full from
the pizza and wings. This evening we watched Gold Rush and when calls the
Heart. Thank you God for time spent with
you and church friends.
Gay Mar-20-21

The temp was down to 52
degrees this morning and up to 74 for a high and a stiff breeze. I decided that
I wasn’t working away from home today. I did several minor jobs around the
outside of the house. Cleaning out the weeds out of the front shrubs, cleaned
out the back garden area, laid three large pavers, and put away some things
that had been sitting outside. While I was working on that Cheri went for some
groceries. Early this afternoon we went out to Sonny’s BBQ for an early dinner.
I had baby back ribs and Cheri had pulled beef brisket. After dinner we went to
the fruit stand and got a half flat of strawberries. Out last stop was at the pharmacy
to pick up some meds for Cheri. When we got home I settled in to watch some
NASCAR racing and Cheri did some ironing, dusting, and made a strawberry pie. Because of the early dinner we didn’t have
anything to eat until later in the evening. Cheri fixed us a gilled ham and
cheese sandwich at we split and then a piece of strawberry pie. This evening I watched
some more racing and then we watched an episode of Dateline and a home
improvement show before calling it a night. Thank you God for a more relaxing
day spending some quality time with Cheri.
Gay Mar-18-21

It was 62 degrees this morning a few degrees colder than yesterday and the high was only 68 degrees. But it was nice working outside. Cheri was busy with her exercises, walking, riding the bike, laundry, and washing floors. I left the house at 8:45 am back working over in Tampa Bay country. I finished installing the new bathroom exhaust fan, fixed another fan, installed the new back flow preventer, tighten up another water hose connection, installed the new sprinkler valve box, removed the mirror over the vanity, and removed the vanity top. I was done work by 3:00 pm and home before 4:00 pm. It was a good day and everything went well. After getting cleaned up I headed for the recliner and within a few minutes I was napping. Cheri woke me up for supper which was a rerun of what we had last night. Our evening was watching Date Line and Live Below Zero the next Generation. Thank you God for a blessed day.

It was 71 degrees this
morning and got up into the high 70’s with a lot of clouds and a strong wind
this afternoon. We were supposed to get
some bad storms this evening but only got a few sprinkles. The storm just split
and went around both sides of Zephyrhills. Cheri was doing much better today
with more energy doing house work and laundry. I had a 9:30 am appointment in
Tampa Bay country for a couple that I have done a lot of work for in the past. She
had list of many things she wants done. After her showing everything she wants
me to do I took her shopping for a new toilet, vanity top, faucets, outside
entry light, and a house bracket to hang a lantern. So long story short I didn’t
get started on any work until 2:00 pm. I did get the new outside light
installed, fixed the back door, and the old bathroom vent fan removed. It was
4:00 pm when I quit for the day. On the way home I stopped at Lowes for a back
flow preventer for her outside hose connection. When I got home I headed for
the shower to get cleaned up while Cheri fixed leftover ham for supper. This evening
we watched the Chicago shows and Tough as Nails. Thank you God for a productive
day and keeping healthy and safe from the virus.
Gay Mar-17-21

It was 64 degrees this
morning and a high in the 80’s. I felt much better this morning and no joint
pain from the virus shot. Cheri is still tired but doesn’t have the joint pain
like she had yesterday. She only did a few things today, continued taking it
easy. I had a 10:00 am appointment to replace a garbage disposal. It was
different than the one I took out and had to do some changes in the drain confection
and of course I didn’t have the right drain parts and had to make a trip to
Lowes. Other than that everything went well. I also fixed the drain stopper in
the bathroom sink the lever that controls the opening and closing had rusted
and broke so had install a new part. I was done for the day at 1:30 pm. After a
late lunch I went out and loaded the truck with the tools I think I will need
for tomorrow. By the time I was done with my shower and cleaned up it was
already 3:00 pm. Cheri and I read until supper time which was later because of
the late lunch. Cheri fixed us Rubin sandwiches with the rest of the corn beef.
To me that is the best part of having corn beef. We watched a movie, FBI, and
FBI Most Wanted this evening. Thank you God for making us feel better from the
virus shot and helping us through this day.
Gay Mar-16-21

It was 66 degree this
morning and then up into the 80’s for the day. It was a long walk this morning
as Dennis is gone up north for a week or so and nobody to with. Cheri and I are
feeling the side effects from the virus shot we got yesterday. I was really
tired and hurting joints. Cheri is also hurting in her joints and really tired.
I did go for my accountability group breakfast and Bible study. I had to check
out a garbage disposal here in our park. It turns out that a new one needs to
be installed but couldn’t do it today as too much joint pain and being tired. Later
in the day I felt much better and made a trip to Lowes to pick up the new
garbage disposal and a stop at the pharmacy to pick up Cheri’s meds. Cheri
fixed us more corn beef and cabbage for supper. This evening we watched two episodes
of Rock the Block, Alaska Last Frontier, and NCIS. Cheri still had a lot of
pain when we went to bed. Thank you God for time spent with you today and
getting through the virus shot pain.
Gay Mar-15-21

It was 57 degree for the
morning walk and got up into the 80’s. Dennis and I are at a point that we don’t
have much to talk about on our walk. A little after 10:00 am we went down to
the club house for our second Virus shot. From there we went to the bank, Larry
and Denise’s house, and Wal-Mart for things that we can’t get at the grocery
store. We were back home by 12:30 pm. The rest of the afternoon was reading,
napping, and watching TV. It seem nice to have a day off from work. Cheri fixed
us the leftovers from Harry’s which were still very good. This evening was more
TV watching Life below Zero the next generation, Date Line, Expedition Unknown,
and a home improvement show. Thank you God for getting us our second virus shot
and keeping us healthy and safe.
Gay Mar-14-21

So this morning I was up
an hour earlier so I could walk at the same time as before. Yep I hope
everyone remembered to spring ahead with the time. It was a 55 degree morning
and a high in the low 80’s. We streamed the church service at 10:00 am. Once
again we weren’t able to stream the Sunday school lesson. I guess it was like
last Sunday when Charlie couldn’t make connection. Cheri and I read the lesson
which was from Luke 15:20-32. It was titled “Celebrate”. Believers can
celebrate God’s restoring forgiveness. I ordered Domino’s Pizza as they had a
coupon for two 12 inch two topping pizzas for ten dollars. So we will be eating
pizza for a couple of days. Cheri watched a couple of movies and I went to the
bedroom to watch the NASCAR race. When the race got over Cheri just finished
watching her movie. So with all the pizza we passed on supper but Cheri did
have ice cream drum stick and I had a bowl of ice cream. We watched NCIS,
Airplane Repo, and 48 hours before calling it a night. Thank you God for a
blessed day spending time with you.
Gay Mar-13-21

It was a little warmer
this morning with a temp of 54 degrees and another beautiful day. I was out the
door at 6:45 am to get our normal Saturday morning breakfast at the Hole-in-One
donut shop. After breakfast I went out and cleaned the leaves out of the rain
gutters and tried to do some raking in the lawn but caused too much pain in my
shoulder. We left the house around 11:15 am. I took Cheri to Lakeland so she
could do some shopping. While she was in Beall’s I went a few doors down to
Direct Tools. All reconditioned tools with new tool prices. I wasn’t impressed
and won’t be going back there again. Our next stop was going to be the Dress
Barn but it had gone out of business so drop Cheri off at Ross’s and another
shop near Ross’s. I went to Northern Tools which was just down the street. I
was in there for a short time when Cheri called and said that she was done.
Then we headed to Harry’s for lunch, surprised how busy it was, glad Cheri
called with an arrival time and didn’t have to wait long. On the way home we
stopped at Sam’s Club. After all was said and done it was 4:00 pm when we
arrived at home. No supper for us as we had the big lunch. So I settled for
some popcorn and peanuts to snack on. We watched a move and a three hour episode
of Gold Rush before calling it a night. Thank you God for safe travels and
being out and about today.
Gay Mar-12-21

Today was a repeat of
yesterday as far as the weather goes. Cheri and I got the bedding laundry
started and then we had our breakfast and coffee. After Cheri got her exercises
done we worked to together making the bed. I left at 10:00 am to make a stop at
the bank and then over to Mike and Pam’s to check out a project Mike wants
done. I am going to put up pegboard and paneling in Mike’s work shop. On the way
home I stopped at the pharmacy to pick up meds for Cheri and me. It was near
lunch time when I got home. I called a lady here in our park that wants me to
install a new bathroom faucet which I wanted to do at 1:00 pm but she had a doctor’s
appointment at 1:00 pm. She called me when she got home which was a little
after 2:00 pm. So Cheri and I went over. Cheri visited with Lou while I did the
install. I had to change out one of the supply valves as it had been leaking.
We were done and back home by 4:00 pm. Cheri had stated the crockpot this
morning with a corn beef so we had corn beef and cabbage for supper. It was a
normal evening of TV. Thank you God for
bless and relaxing day with a little work.
Gay Mar-11-21

51 degrees this morning
and warmed to be a very nice day with a high in the upper 70’s. Cheri was busy
this morning with the laundry and then had an appointment this afternoon and
also did some grocery shopping. I finished at the patio project this morning,
installing the siding, sweeping the leaves off the deck, and removing all my
tools and scrap lumber. After lunch I took a few things back to Lowes that I
didn’t need and bought a bathroom faucet for another job. I took the scrap
lumber to the transfer station. When I got home I sweep out the truck and
called it a day. We got notification that our next virus shot will be Monday at
11:00 am here in our park. After my shower I headed to the recliner to join
Cheri. Cheri fixed us sloppy Joes for supper. It was a normal evening of TV
watching the Chicago shows. Thank you God for a blessed day.

It was another nice day
that started out at 52 degrees and topped out in the mid 70’s with a stiff
breeze. Cheri went out for haircut this morning, did her exercises, and relaxed
the rest of the day. I worked on the patio deck project and finished it except
for a couple pieces of siding to reinstall and some clean up along with getting
all my tools home which I will do tomorrow. It was a little after 4:00 pm when
I got done. Then I took the truck through the carwash. Then took our friends
car through the carwash and last our car. On the way home I stopped at BK with
a coupon for two Whoppers, two drinks, and two fries for nine dollars. By the
time I got home it was will past 6:00 pm. After we eat I headed to the shower
to get cleaned up. The evening was spent
watching TV. We watched a couple of home improvement shows and Life below Zero
the next Generation. Thank you God for guiding us through this day.

It was a couple of degree
warmer this morning and got up to the mid-70 with a stiff breeze. Being it is
Tuesday I left the house at 6:30 am for my accountability group breakfast and
Bible study. We studied the first part of Acts chapter ten. There were nine of
us this morning. Cheri was busy with the Tuesday house work and also made a
batch of chocolate chip cookies. I started work on the patio project at 10:00
am. At noon I had run out of screws and needed a few more deck boards. So after
lunch I made a trip to Lowes for the materials and then back to work. I did get
the steps done today. I still have the top railing and balusters to install. I
was done at 3:30 pm for the day. After a shower and getting cleaned up I headed
for the recliner. Cheri and I visited for a while before I had a nap. Cheri
fixed us leftover for supper. We watched Life below Zero the Next generation
and Alaska the Last Frontier. Thank you God for productive day and keeping us
healthy and safe.

It was colder this morning
and had to add an extra layer of clothing as it was 43 degrees this morning.
Also had a stiff breeze today but was nice if you were out of the wind. Cheri
was busy today as she went for some groceries. She fixed a meal of ham, mashed potatoes,
salad, and biscuits to take over to Pam and Mike’s for their supper. Cheri fixed
enough so we could have the same for supper. I didn’t start work on the patio
project until 10:30 am, need to have it warm up some. I had a good day and got
the step post in and most of the railing framing done and ready to install the balusters.
It was after 4:00 pm when I got home. This evening we called Larry and Denise
for a short visit and then called Darren with a video call. We got to talk to
Wyatt. It fun to hear him tell us about the new aquarium and the fish they got.
He has all the fish named like Flappy, Floppy, and Nemo, don’t remember the
other names. I forgot to take a picture of the work I got done today. I will
try to remember to take a picture before I start tomorrow. Thank you God for
productive day keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.
Gay Mar-7-21

It was a little colder
this morning with a temp of 52 degrees and a high in the mid 70’s with a strong
breeze. Cheri fixed us pancakes for breakfast with juice and coffee. Nothing
much going on until 10:00 am when we streamed the church service. We tried to
stream the Sunday school lesson but wasn’t available, not sure why but does
happen occasionally. We still studied the lesson, it was from Luke 10:27-37. I
had ordered another pizza from Domino’s. I know I said that I wouldn’t be
ordering any more because of the price. But they had a special 14 inch three
topping for $8.00. We eat that while watching a movie. Dennis and Sue brought
over some chili that Sue made which we had for supper and was very good. At
3:30 pm I went to the bedroom to watch the NASCAR race while Cheri watched a
Hall Mark movie. After the race I joined Cheri to watch a home improvement
show, Magnum, and Air Plane Repo. Thank you God for time spent with you today.

The temp this morning was
back to 56 degrees. At 6:20 am I headed to the Hole-in-One donut shop for the
usual Saturday morning breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls. Cheri was up
early this morning. After breakfast and coffee I headed out at 8:10 am to pick
up Dennis to go and get another palm tree. This time we went to Home Depot for
it. Dennis had a cold ride in the back of the truck holding the tree. I was
only back home for a short time before the rain started. Later in the afternoon
the Sun came out. But I had already decided I wasn’t going to do any work
today. After Cheri got her exercises done we relaxed reading, napping, and
watching TV. We got a call from Nikki catching us up on all the things that are
going on with her. Being it was on the cool and wet side we decided it was a
good day to have soup for lunch. For supper Cheri heated up the leftover Chiladas.
Later we got a call from our neighbor Mike and asking us if we want to come
over to see them. We have been wanting to see them but with Kathy’s cancer she
hasn’t felt good enough to have company. We had a nice visit with them. It was
after 8:00 pm when we got home. We watched Date Line and called it a night. Thank
you God for a relaxing day and time spent with neighbors.

It was down to 48 degrees
this morning, but warmed up to be a nice day in the low 70’s. Cheri did the
laundry this morning. She had an appointment this morning at 10:00 am and then
went shopping afterwards. I spent some more time on how I was going to build
the steps to the patio deck. At 10:00 am I started to put my step plan to work
and after I got started I found that my plan wouldn’t work but with God’s help
we came up with a plan that would work well. I came home for lunch and an hour’s
break. I did get the step base framed and ready for railing post and step
treads. It was 4:00 pm when I got home. Cheri had made stovetop cookies and was
in the process of making Aunt Chiladas for supper. After my shower I was able
to rest for a while before supper. The Chiladas were very good and have some
for tomorrow. This evening we watched Date Line and Airplane Repo. Thank you
God for taking care of us today.

It was a little colder
this morning with 54 degrees for the walk. While Cheri was in the shower I got
the Thursday laundry ready to start when she got out of the shower. Cheri
finished the laundry along with some Thursday house work. At 7:30 am I headed
over to Lowes to get material to build the steps for the new patio. After I
unloaded the materials I had to go and load my tools. It was already near 11:00
am so stayed home to have lunch before working the deck project. I quit at 2:00
pm as I needed to get cleaned up and pick up Dennis to go to Lowes to haul home
his new palm tree. He had the hole already dug and I help get it into the
ground. We were invited out for dinner at 5:00 pm at Bill and Sharon Huszenker
(church friends). They have a new kitchen faucet that they wanted me to install
for them. So after dinner Bill and I tackled the job which went well. After the
install we sat and visited for a while. It was 7:45 pm when we got home. We
watched Seal Team before calling it a night. Thank you God for a productive day
and time spent with friends.

The morning walk got cut
short as it started raining before I got home. So I was a little damp by the
time I got home. We did get a half inch of rain and then turned nice this
afternoon. I worked on installing a new stove hood for a couple here in the
park. It was noon by the time I got done. This afternoon I went over to Dennis’s
(the guy I walk with in the mornings) the transition strip between the kitchen
and living room floor had come loose and I pin nailed it back in place for
them. From there I went Donna’s to take some measurements for materials I need
to get. Then took the car for a wash job but the car wash was closed for
maintenance. So back home to do some computer work. Later I headed to the
shower to get cleaned up and rested reading my novel some before napping. Cheri
was busy with spring cleaning bathrooms and kitchen cabinets. She fixed spaghetti
and English muffin with garlic butter for supper. This evening we watched FBI,
FBI Most Wanted, and a couple episodes of Airplane Repo. Thank you God for
guiding us through another day keeping us healthy and safe.

The morning walk was just like yesterday, warm and no jacket. I left the house at 6:30 am heading to Dade City for my accountability breakfast and Bible study. We finished Acts chapter 9. There were 11 of us this morning and had a good discussion. I got home just in time to get the truck loaded and on my way to Tampa Bay country to do a plumbing project. I checked to see what I needed for parts and then headed back to Lowes for the parts. I had to change shutoff valves at bathroom sink. Changed the shower valve cartridge which was hard to get the old one out. I even sprayed some WD-40 around it, worked on it for about 45 minutes before it finally came out. I used some wet-dry sandpaper to clean up the opening and lube the new cartridge before putting it in. I also did some work on the sink drain in another bathroom. It was around 2:30 pm when I got home. I didn’t eat my lunch that I had with me so I eat my sandwich before heading to the shower. Once again I tried to read my novel and after a couple of pages I fell asleep, which lasted for over an hour. Cheri was busy mopping the floors when I got home. This evening she fixed the rest of the shrimp scampi we had last night. We watched a new show which I don’t remember the name and didn’t like. Also watched the latest episode of the Rookie which we didn’t care for. We ended up watching two episodes of Airplane Repo before calling it a night. Thank you God for a blessed day and helping us with our projects.

Wow, another month gone.
It was 71 degrees this morning for the walk, a jacket free morning. The temp
did get into the high 80’s and thought that they may break a record for high
temp. I worked on the deck project but quit at 1:00 pm as it was too hot. I did
get the deck floor done. I also checked out another job of changing out a stove
hood. They are going to call me when they get the new hood. Cheri continues
with her knee exercises, walking, and riding the bike. When I got home I
showered and got cleaned up. I tied to read my novel but once again that lasted
only a short time before I stated to fall asleep, so it was nap time. Cheri
fixed us shrimp scampi for supper along with a chocolate cookie. We watched
NCIS LA, NCIS New Orleans, and Airplane Repo this evening. Thank you God for a
good day and keeping us healthy and safe.

It was the same temp this
morning as yesterday for the morning walk. Although it got up to 87 degrees for
the day. It was a normal Sunday for us. Streamed the church service at 10:00 am
and then the Sunday school lesson at 11:30 am. Paul Williams who helps a lot in
church delivered the message this morning. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Unashamed”
from Luke 9:18-27. Jesus expects His followers to forsake all else for Him. After
the Sunday school lesson I headed out to pick up a pizza from Domino’s. We hadn’t
had a Domino’s pizza for many years. It was good but too pricey, probably won’t
have one again. We called Larry and Denise to see how they were doing, all is
good with them and not doing anything because of the virus lockdown. We settled
in to watch a couple of Hallmark movies and then the NASCAR race. We didn’t
have any supper but later I had a bag of popcorn and Cheri an ice cream drum
stick. We watched an episode of Date Line before calling it a night. Thank you
God for time spent with you today.
