Gay Feb-4-09

I feel like a broken record as it is once again cold but not as windy has yesterday, we had a high of 56 degrees. Although it was nice if you stayed in the sun and out of the wind. Cheri took Grandma for her lab work appointment this morning. Early afternoon we went to see Grandpa. He was having a very good day. He did a lot of talking and also walked with the walker about 150 feet. Paul and Bev came down this evening for a visit and we ended up playing dominos. Once again the girls won both games.

Gay Feb-3-09

It was another very cool windy morning with a high of 55 degrees for the day. Today was the Baker Acers Wisconsin potluck. We had 33 people come. There was a lot of good food and games after the potluck. It started at 1:00 pm and we didn’t get home until 4:30 pm. Ken and Eileen came over afterwards. We played three games of cribbage which the girls won.

So the ground hog says we are going to have 6 more weeks of winter. I am sick of it already, can’t imagine what it’s like up north and I don’t care to find out. Shortly after we did our morning walk it started to rain and didn’t quit until around 10:00 pm. Cheri gave me a hair cut which I badly needed. This afternoon we made a trip to Lowe’s and then to Wal-Mart to pick up medicine for Grandma. Dean and Betty came over to play dominos. We guys won both games, I think it has been 4 years since Dean and I won two games in one night.

Gay Feb-1-09

Paul and I left at 8:00 am for the car show in Bushnell. They hold this show and swap meet the first Sunday of each month. So its one we always want to go to. We got back home around 2:00 pm. Cheri went up to Bev’s and work on doing pencil drawings. They did an old barn with the old pump and platform, it came out really nice. We settled in for the evening, me watching the Super Bowl and Cheri reading.

Gay Jan-31-09

It was 38 degrees when we walked this morning. There was no wind so it was nice walking in the fresh air. This afternoon Paul & Bev, Cheri & I went to Dade City for the Kumquat Festival. Bev and Cheri had fun going through all the craft booths. It was the car show for Paul and me. We got home around 4:00 pm. We did our evening walk and then went up to Paul and Bev’s to play dominos. The girls beat us bad the first game and we tied the last game. We have never had a tie in dominos before. Hard to beleive this is the last day of January.
