Cheri had some errands to
run this morning plus she had to go to Wal-Mart to pick up Grandma’s medicine. I
went to work on the bath room and got the old counter top and sink removed. It
is going to be unhandy as we will be using the main bath room until I get the
new counter top and sink installed. I had to build a wall frame for the new
counter top as the old one wasn’t done right. With Cheri’s help we got the new
counter top fitted and ready to install. I used the old counter top for a
pattern to cut the new one but still had to take it back outside four times
before I had it cut for a good fit. Cheri also painted the inside of the vanity
which was a lot easier with the top off. I also got the rest of the floor cleaned up where
the old quarter round was and now it is ready for the new flooring. Cheri also
worked in the sewing room and finished making another purse, this one has a
hand painted picture on it, she is so creative.

Cheri and I didn’t do any
exercise this morning; we just tired and not wanting to do it. Cheri did
laundry and house cleaning before she settled in the sewing room, she is doing
some fabric painting. I worked in the bathroom and got the vanity top loosened
up and ready to remove. Then I took the quarter round up around the floor to
get it ready for the new flooring. Cheri cleaned up the miss I made removing
the quarter round and chalking. After lunch I took Grandma for her B-12 shot. On
the way back home Mike and Mary follow me into the park and over to our place. They
told us that they have moved back here for a week to finish up the remodel of
the house here. It was hard for them to get much done in a day when they had at
least three hours of travel time. At 3:00 pm we met Mike G over at Lowe’s as he
is going to haul our new bath room counter top home for us. At times like this
I miss having the van to haul materials. It was after 4:00 pm when we got home
and we had enough for the day.

After Cheri and I got done
with breakfast, coffee, and exercise we headed out for a day of shopping. Our
first stop was Lowe’s to return the vanity lights that wouldn’t work for us.
Then a stop at Larry and Denise’s to check the house. Then on to Home Depot to
check what they had for capping the back splash in the bathroom, didn’t find
anything there. The next stop was Ron and Sandy’s to drain off more water from
their pool. It was almost lunch time so we stopped at Wendy’s in Wesley Chapel
as Cheri had a coupon, had a good lunch for around eight dollars. I had checked
on the internet for a tile and back splash store and found one in Tampa, so
that was our next stop. We still didn’t find anything that would work for our
back splash but did check out some vinyl snap and lock flooring that we could
use in the bathroom. From there we headed to IKEA to look for some art work to
set in the window of our bathroom. When we went through the model home on Marco
Island Cheri saw that done and thought that something like it would look good
in our bathroom. No luck on that but we did buy the chocolate bars and cinnamon
rolls (something we always buy when we stop there). The next stop was Old Time
Pottery in Brandon as Cheri remembered seeing art work there. They did have
some but nothing that was the right size or what Cheri liked. Next was Lumber Liquidators
in Plant City. I had found some vinyl snap and lock flooring on the internet
that looked like something that would work for us. Well sure enough they had
something we both liked so we bought it. Our next and last stop was Jo Ann Fabrics;
Cheri needed a couple of things for the projects she is working on. It was
after 5:00 pm and over a hundred mile later before we got home. After dinner we
settled in for and evenings of TV as the Packers were playing the Vikings. The
Packers are playing better or the Vikings were really bad, I would like to
think that the Packers were better.

It rained during the night
and continued to rain until late in the afternoon. For the most part it was
just a drizzle. We got a call last night from Norm and Marlene and they are
going to be in town today and want to get together to go out for lunch. They
have a mold issue in the place that is for sale in Baker Acers. We told them to
let us know when they get to the house and we would come and help them clean.
Cheri picked out the vanity light globes she wanted to use, so I got them put
up with the new led light bulbs, really happy with the way it turned out. Cheri
got her Wednesday house work done. At 11:00 am we still hadn’t heard anything
from Norm and Marlene so we took a ride over to Baker Acers and they were there
cleaning. We told them that we would help but was about done and didn’t want to
bother us. So they took a break and we visited for a while. They said that they
would come over when they got done so that they could clean up. They had called
Mike and Mary and they will meet at our place and then go out for lunch at
Golden Correl. After a nice visit and catching up it was time to say our
goodbyes. It was around 3:00 pm when we got home and decided it was too late to
start anything. We finally got to see some sun shine around 3:30 pm but then
more rain this evening.

It was an off and on again rainy day which didn’t bother me as I was
working inside today. Cheri got a call from Pam this morning wanted to know if
she wanted to go shopping. Yep an hour later Pam was here to pick her up. I
worked in the bathroom all day. I had to cut in some new electrical boxes for
the new vanity lights which also met that I had some plastering and painting to
do. While I was waiting for the plaster and paint to dry I cleaned up the
exhaust fan that I had removed last week and got it reinstalled. I also removed
the heating and air conditioning vent and painted it. I did get the vanity
lights installed and look nice. When we bought the vanity lights we wanted to
get LED bright white bulbs. They only had four and we needed six so we ended up
buying florescent bulbs. After putting in two of them I wasn’t happy because
they have to warm up before they give off full light, so later this afternoon I
returned the unopened ones to Home Depot. From Home Depot I drove over to Ron
and Sandy’s to check their house as they are gone for a few days. We have been
getting a lot of rain so I needed to drain some of the water from their pool.
It was after 4:00 pm when I got home. Cheri got home around 5:30 pm with a
bunch of bags of things she bought. After dinner we went to Lowe’s to get some
LED light bulbs. We also checked out the back splashes and flooring, still not completely
sure what we are going to do. It was near 7:30 pm when we got home and I had
enough for the day.
