It is a hot humid day and
decided not to do any work outside today. I did some computer work and then
Bible study along with Cheri. We needed a few things from Wal-Mart so we headed
out. I dropped Cheri off at Wal-Mart while I made a quick stop at Lowe’s to
pick up some screws for the rocking motorcycle and a three way light bulb for
the living room. When I got back to Wal-Mart I had to call Cheri to find where
she was in the store. We got the things we needed and back home by noon. After
lunch I went up to Jan’s to clean out her rain gutters (remember I was the guy
that wasn’t going to do any work outside today). While I was gone Cheri worked
in her sewing room and made a batch of chocolate chip cookies. When I got home
we both had done enough for the day. It was already after 3:00 pm and just
headed for the recliners. Cheri fixed us a hamburger and chips along with a
couple of cookies for supper. We heard some thunder in the distance but no
rain. We were supposed to have some rain the last couple of days but didn’t get
any. It is so dry and everything is all brown. We spent a quite evening
watching TV shows we had recorded.

I think my neck felt a
little better this morning but still have a burning from the caterpillar. I did
put some different cream on it that did help to take some of the burning away.
Doctor Cheri check it and thought that it looked a little better and not as
puffy. It was already in the mid 70’s early this morning and going to be a hot
humid day. I took Grandma for her doctor’s appointment and didn’t get home
until noon. After lunch I did the monthly spraying in the house and also spraying
in the shop as I was having a problem with no-see-ums which were giving mw all
kinds of bites on my legs. I have been using mosquito repellent spray on my
legs to keep them from biting me. With the spraying project done I decided it
was too hot to do any work outside (think it was just an excuse because I am
Lazy). Cheri had worked all morning in her sewing room and she felt that she
had done enough for the day so we settled in to watch some TV late this
afternoon. I got a call from Ron and Sandy checking in to see how we were doing
and decide to go out for dinner at Cheddar’s over in Wesley Chapel. We picked
up Ron and Sandy at 5:00 pm. It was the first time for Cheri and I going to
Cheddar’s and was very good. After dinner we went back to Ron and Sandy’s to
visit and gave us an update on the cruise that they just got back from. It was
around 9:30 pm when we got home. Cheri said that it was time to watch Dancing
with the Stars that we had recorded. Judge Cheri was right again about who got
voted off.

Grandma went to church with
us today, been a few weeks since she has gone. Pastor Randy’s message was a continuing
of the Armor of God and how we should pray. Sunday school lesson was on how
Jesus equipped the disciples with what they needed to spread Gods word. This
afternoon I settled in to watch the NASCAR race and Cheri went shopping. Cheri
fixed us pizza for supper and then it was an evening of TV. Cheri also started
doctoring my neck as Saturday when we were at Sleepy Hollow a caterpillar
dropped out of a tree onto my neck and now I have burning welts on my neck.

April fool’s day and no
one tried to pull an April fool’s trick on me and I was a good boy not pulling
any on anybody else. Cheri asked me what I was going to do today and said that
I didn’t know. She said how about we take a motorcycle ride to Sleepy Hollow (gathering
spot for motorcyclist) for to have their chicken barbeque. I was surprised as
Cheri hasn’t been on the bike for over a year as it is hard for her to ride
with her bad knee. I fired off an e-mail to Larry and Denise to see if they
wanted to go and got a reply back saying they would go. We left their place at
11:00 am and made one stop on the way. What a great ride it was going up as it
was still on the cool side for a nice ride. It has been about three years since
we were last at Sleepy Hollow for a meal as it was closed for a couple of years
and didn’t think it would ever open again. We had a good meal and visit while
the music played. The ride home wasn’t as much fun as it was very hot and was happy
to get home. The trip was 122 miles and got home at 4:00 pm. We both took
showers as we were hot and sweaty. We had leftover spare ribs for supper and
then went back to Larry and Denise’s to play cards along with their neighbor’s
and Larry’s sister. We played two games of SOB which Larry one the first one
and I won the second one. We were tired from the ride and was back home a
little pass 9:00 pm. It was another full
day to spend with friends.

I was up early for my Accountability
Group meeting in Dade City at 6:30 am. We just got a new book to study:
Sleeping Giant by Kenny Luck. I was back home by 8:30 am. Cheri was just
finishing up her breakfast and already had laundry going and ready to finish
the rest of her Friday house work. I got myself cleaned up and ready to face
the rest of the day. I took Grandma for her eye appointment. She has been
having a lot of pain around her eyes and the doctor up her prednisone which
should take care of the problem. It was after 1:00 pm when I got home and was
ready for lunch. I wasn’t in the mood to do any work today and asked Cheri if
she had any place she wanted to go. She said that she would like to go to Jo-Ann
Fabrics and a stop at Sam’s Club to see if they had any baby back ribs. It didn’t
take long in Jo-Ann’s as Cheri knew what she wanted and also bought some fat
quarters. Then headed for Sam’s where we were able to get the ribs I wanted.
The traffic was so heavy coming home it took us almost an hour to get home
which normally would only take about 35 minutes. So we had ribs for supper
which was a real treat for me. It was a very good day, thank you God.
