Today would have been
Grandpa’s birthday, he would have been 99. I caught another feral cat in the
trap last night, which make four over the last year. I hadn’t planned on
working out of the park today but as long as I had to take the cat for a ride
out into the country I decided to do some work over in Tampa Bay country. I
repaired a ceiling fan light that wasn’t working and then checked on another
job in the park but can’t do that until Friday after 3:00 pm. So I headed back
home with a stop at Lowe’s for some materials. I got home at noon which was
good because I forgot to take the lunch that Cheri packed for me. This
afternoon I went to the church to get a key for the Sunday school building so I
could measure the kitchen floor as I will be installing a new floor next week.
When I got back I did some work on a skylight for a lady here in our park. Then
home to pick up Cheri so we could go to Lumber Liquidators to pick out and buy
the flooring for the Sunday school building. After getting the flooring and
delivering it we stopped at Calver’s for supper. It was after 6:00 pm when we
finally got home. Just in time to get ready to go over to Mike and Kathy’s for
a visit. They gave us a lot of food that they had left over from their refrigerator
as they are leaving tomorrow to go north for the summer. Cheri was busy today
with laundry, taking Grandma for her lab appointment, and get groceries for
Grandma. Later this evening we watched a couple of shows we had recorded. Thank
you God for a blessed day and safe travels.

My day started here at
home. I worked on replacing the Plexiglas in a shadow box for a lady from our
church. I restocked the truck and went over to Mike and Pam’s as they are
having trouble with a ground fault breaker that trips when it rains. This is
the second time I have looked for the problem but it is always working when I
get there. I did do some rewiring for the garage door opener as it was on the
ground fault breaker and can’t get in the garage when it trips. On the way home
I stopped to adjust the door on the lanai as it wasn’t a tight fit and the love
bugs were getting in. We have been in Florida full time for six years and this
is the worst the love bugs have been. I took the truck through the car wash
again today as I had a really good collection of them. The car wash was full of
cars and back up way out onto the street waiting to get in. I guess the car
wash is happy to see the love bug season. It was 5:00 pm before I got home.
Cheri had done her Wednesday house work, made trip to the bank and grocery
store, made me a batch of chocolate cookies, and fixed us a supper of hamburgers
and corn on the cob. It was another normal evening of me napping while trying
to watch TV. Thank you God for being with us and giving us guidance today.

I was back at work in
Tampa Bay country at the same place I was working yesterday. Today I patched a
hole in a wall and painted it, Painted some grout around a tile I replaced last
year, cleaned the old grout and caulking from the master shower and put in new
caulking, and did some painting in the bathroom on the ceiling and also painted
on the ceiling in the office. I was done by 3:00 pm but didn’t get home until
4:00 pm. I am glad I was working inside as it has been near 90 degrees the last
couple of days. While I was taking a shower Cheri was getting supper ready.
Cheri had been busy with her usual Tuesday house work and also went next door
to visit with Jean. It was a normal evening of TV and me napping. Thank you God
for a blessed day.

I had an appointment at
9:00 am over in Tampa Bay country. I installed a new kitchen faucet, new ceiling
fan remote, reinstall some crown molding, tightened ceiling fan blades on four
fans, installed new batteries in the fan remotes, and put some stain blocker on
two ceiling stains. On the way home I stopped at Lowe’s to get a quart of
ceiling paint for tomorrow. Cheri spent the day in her sewing room. I didn’t
get a chance to see how much she got done on her quilt project. Cheri fixed us
brats and potato salad for supper along with chocolate chip cookies for desert.
We watched the food channel this evening, very interesting how they made the
deserts. We couldn’t stay up to watch the final so we recorded it and headed
for bed. Thank you God for all the guidance and safe travels.

Grandma did go to church
with us today. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Only One Life” from John
1:40-42, 2Corinthians 4:17-18. We all need to get out and help minister other
people. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Purifies” from Mark 11:17-19;
12:41-44. This afternoon Cheri and I watched some movies we had recorded plus
we both did some napping. I was going to watch the NASCAR race but it got
rained out and will start tomorrow at noon. Later this afternoon we had a
strong wind come through that did do some damage to some lanais here in our
park. It had looked like we were going to get a lot of rain but that didn’t
happen. Our neighbor Mike had a limb come off one tree and a broken one on
another tree. This evening we had the usual Sunday evening meal of pizza and
more TV. Thank you God for time spent with you today.
