It was a much better day than yesterday but still cold in the morning but warmed up to the low 60’s. Cheri and I were both slow getting around this morning. Cheri continued with her Wednesday house work and Christmas decorations. I went to check out a job here in the park I will be working on tomorrow. I needed to get some measurement as I will be installing a new bottom base and self in the kitchen sink cabinet. I worked on cutting out a new base and self and have them ready for tomorrow. Cheri and I went over to the camper to measure it and found that it is 24 feet long and I thought it was only 21 feet long. I needed the measurements because I ordered a cover for the camper. I also worked on getting the truck loaded for work and some additional cleaning in the shop area. I quit at 3:00 pm and had done enough for the day. Cheri was also done for the day except for making supper for us. We watched a couple of shows before supper. Cheri fixed us enchiladas for supper, it was very good. It was another evening of TV with popcorn and a cookie for my snack and Cheri had a cookie.

It was only 38 degrees this morning, the coldest so far this season and that is cold enough for me. The high for the day was only 54 degrees. I was out the door a little pass 7:00 am for my accountably breakfast and Bible study. Today we studied John chapter nine. There were nine of us today. On the way home I got a call from my best man. He was checking in on us as he didn’t know that Grandma had passed away. I had a nice visit with him. Cheri and I left at 9:00 am and headed to Land of Lakes to the DMV to get the camper transferred into our name. We met the seller there. The lady at the credit union told us we would have to wait 48 hours before we could get the transfer down. We weren’t able to get it done as the DNV hadn’t received the lean pay off. The seller called his credit union and they now told him it would take seven to ten days before the DMV would receive the payoff letter. So we headed home. Cheri busied herself with Christmas decorations and I worked outside getting the truck bed wash out and trying to put things away in the shop and shed. This evening was the Church Christmas Party and dinner. We were disappointed as the ticket price went up by $5.00 to $15.00 per person and was nearly as good as last year. We were home by 8:00 pm and cold from being out. So we turned on the electric blanket and crawled into bed to watch TV. Thank you God for getting us through another day.

Our high temp for the day was this morning around 5:00 am. From there it went downhill all day with a stiff wind. It was nice in the sun out of the wind but cold when out in the wind. Cheri and Denise spent the day shopping. She came home with more things for the camper. I did some office cleaning around my computer. Paper and other things pile up and it was time to go through everything and get rid of things we no longer need. I made a trip over to the VA office to see what upcoming appointments I have. I have two eye appointments on the calendar and know one was cancelled and couldn’t remember which one it was. I started to do some work out in my shop but I just couldn’t get into it so I went back in the house and rested. I actually took a two hour nap. Late this afternoon I went to Lowe’s and got some damp-rid for the camper. The wheel covers I order came this afternoon so I went over and put them on the wheels, hung the damp-rid, and paid for six months of storage. Cheri was home when I got back. She showed me all the things she bought for the camper. I think she is having fun shopping for the camper stuff. Cheri fixed us scrambled eggs on toast with chip beef gravy. It was a normal evening of TV with a couple of cookies for a snack. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Cheri and I left for church a little earlier this morning as I was in charge of making coffee for our Sunday school class. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Thankful for the Cross” from 1 Peter 1:18-21. In Sunday school we started a new lesson book today. The lesson title was “God Leads” from Numbers 9:15-23. God leads His people according to His will and purposes. After Sunday school I got the coffee pots cleaned up and ready for next Sunday. I helped load chairs and tables to be taken to Bill and Sharon’s place for our Christmas party Saturday night. Then we went out for lunch with them along with Jerry a Cookie. It was a good time and got to have some one on one visiting. Later this afternoon Larry and Denise came over to help me get the truck hooked up the camper and showed me how to hook up the equalizer bars. Things went well getting the camper into storage. I did order some tire covers to keep the sun off the tires and also order a cover for the air conditioner. After getting the camper in storage Larry and Denise came back to the house. We played a couple of games of Hand, Knee, and Foot. Cheri and Denise won the first game and Larry and I won the second game. After the first game Cheri fixed us pizza for supper. Thank you God for time spent with you and good friends along with all the help from them.

We were out the door before 7:00 am to meet Mike and Pam for breakfast at the Hole-in-One donut shop. We had a good visit and then they came over to check out our camper. After checking the camper Cheri and Pam went to Beall’s. I went over to Mike and Pam’s to get Mike’s air compressor to pump up the tires on the camper. I loaned Larry our compressor to do some floor work and never thought about pumping up the tires before he took it. We made a stop at Lowe’s to pick up some pavers to put under the tires of the camper when we put it in the storage lot. The rest of the day was spent working with the camper. I got the hitch installed on the truck and plan on using it tomorrow to put the camper in storage. Larry and Denise stopped by this afternoon and asked them if they would come over tomorrow and Larry to help me get hooked up and set up the equalizer hitch on the truck. I have never used one before and Larry has had a lot of experience them. Cheri was also busy putting away fall decorations and getting out some of the Christmas decorations. I will be getting out more of them tomorrow. Thank you God for a blessed day and good friends for helping us.
