We decided to do some Geo-Caching today. I loaded five caches into the GPS unit and we took the motorcycle into Wisconsin Dells. Two of them were along the Wisconsin Dells River Walk. This was something new that we didn’t know about. It was a very nice walk high above the river. We took some pictures of our walk and of the river. It was a hot and humid day so we found the five caches and headed to Applebee’s for lunch. This was another experience. As the hostess was showing us to our table Cheri tripped over the waiter that was down on one knee and had his leg out in the isle. If the table hadn’t been there she would have fallen flat on her face. The waiter felt really bad and apologized and then came to our table again and apologized to Cheri. A little later the manager came to our table as the waiter told her what had happened and she wanted to make sure Cheri wasn’t hurt. She told Cheri she could have dessert on the house. We ordered and when we got our meal Cheri’s ordered her steak medium and it came very rare. She sent it back and ordered chicken roll up. The waitress wanted to know if we wanted to talk to the manager and we said no. When Cheri got the chicken roll up, they almost miss putting in the chicken. Well after we eat the manager brought over Cheri’s dessert and said that our meal was on the house because of what happened to Cheri’s steak. Then Cheri told her about not having much chicken in the roll up. We like going to Applebee’s and this is an example of how they take care of their customers. We were back home by 2:15 pm and had only put 20 miles on the bike, just too hot to enjoy riding. We stayed inside and watch movies on TV. We planned on going to the stock car races this evening and called that off also because of the heat. I have uploaded pictures of the day click on http://picasaweb.google.com/sharpstravels and then click on the album: Wisconsin Dells Geo-Caching.

It was clear and 71 degrees at 9:45 am when we left for a motorcycle ride. We did more back roads and country riding. Our first stop was at a garage sale that Cheri saw. She found a couple of things for Cece. Cheri took a lot of pictures again today of the country side and a lot of old interesting buildings. Strange how the back roads lead us to Carr Valley Cheese factory, yep we were out of cheese curd and needed some more. The next stop was at an old country second hand store that had just about anything you could want that didn’t need any electricity. We were in an area where a lot of Amish people live and there were several in the store when we arrived. They had stuff in every room of the building including the upstairs and attic. It was fun looking around. Our next stop was at a filling station to get an ice cream bar to top off the cheese curt that we eat at the cheese factory. Our next stop was at a little park by the river just to rest and watch the water. We got back home around 3:00 pm. We rode 110 miles. It was 84 degrees by the time we got home and figured we had enough sun and fun for the day. I have uploaded pictures of the day click here http://picasaweb.google.com/sharpstravels then click on album: country ride July-29-11.

Today we had rain off and on again pretty much the same weather the last two days and our humidity is back. It was the last day of the World Faith conference. We got to hear Dr. Larry Ollison present his message this morning. He will be leaving this afternoon heading back to his church in the Lake of the Ozarks. We are really going to miss hearing him alto we will be able to get his Sunday service on line. If you have interests go to his web site at http://www.faithman.org/. His daily devotionals are great with a message that is very easy to understand.  We didn’t go to the evening conference session as we just weren’t interested in hearing Pastor David Gonzalez. He wasn’t a bad speaker just that we had a hard time understanding what he was trying to get across and would end up talking about himself. On the other hand we could have sit and listen to Dr Larry Ollison all day, very good messages and so easy to understand. This afternoon we stayed inside as the weather wasn’t that great outside. Cheri did her laundry and I did a few inside jobs like putting latches on the night stands by the bed. It was a long afternoon and are looking forward to better weather tomorrow and maybe (I hope) a motorcycle ride.

It was raining when we got up this morning and rained off and on most of the day. Today was pretty much a repeat of yesterday. We left here at 8:30 am for the World Faith Conference. Once again we got to hear Dr. Larry Ollison speak this morning along with David Gonzalez. The morning session lasted until 12:30 pm. We went back to the 5th wheel for a late dinner. I checked the radar as it wasn’t raining at the time and it looked like I could get some grilling done before it rained again, wrong. It started raining before I got done grilling the brats and pork chops. Cheri fixed some corn on the cob, nothing better than fresh picked sweet corn. We spent the rest of the afternoon play cards and watching TV. We were back at the World Faith Conference at 7:00 pm and got to hear Dr. Larry Ollison speak on sin, another excellent message. We bought three of his DVD’s on our way out. We were back home by 9:30 pm. We were both tired and headed to bed and tried to watch a little TV which didn’t last long before we fell asleep.

Today was the first day of the World Faith Conference at Mountain Faith church. Back in the first two weeks of June we went to the Walk on Water church in Lake of the Ozarks where Dr. Larry Ollison is the Pastor and founder of the church. We were so impressed with his speaking that we stayed an extra two days so we could hear him speak again. At that time he told us he would be speaking in Wisconsin Dells at the World Faith Conference. Long story short we made our plans to be in Wisconsin Dells so we could attend the conference and hear Dr Larry Ollison speak. Well we were not disappointed as he spoke in the morning and again in the evening and was excellent. We also got to hear the David Gonzalez pastor and founder of Mountain faith Church speak and he also was very good. The morning session started at 9:00 am and was over at 12:00 pm. We were severed a very nice lunch and then went back to the 5th wheel to relax. The evening session started at 7:00 pm and lasted until 9:00 pm. We had wonderful day learning more about Gods faith and what he can do for us. If you are interested you can go to this web site http://www.worldfaithconference.org/ to learn more and even watch live the next two days of the conference.
