It is still cold here and
that is the excuse I am using for being slow about getting around this morning.
By 10:00 am I was ready to do something and then thought it’s hardly worth
doing anything before lunch. Getting old really sucks. Cheri didn’t feel like
doing much today either. I did get the tools unloaded out of the car and put
away and got the bird feeder filled. This afternoon I made a trip to Lowe’s to
get new water fillers for our drinking water, new air filter for the furnace,
and some screws to replenish the one’s I used at Darren’s. Yes I did get the
new filters installed. That pretty much took care of my day. Cheri did do some
ironing along with some cleaning. The rest of the day was spent napping and
watching TV. I think we took turns napping so we could tell each other what was
happing in the shows were watching.

It is another 43 degree cold
morning and a high of 59 for the day. Grandma told us that she wasn’t going to
church as it as it was too cold for her. We have another week of this winter
weather and then it should be better. Pastor Randy had a very good message this
morning about group praying. For Sunday school we have a new study book:
Disciples Path- The Journey. The lesson today was about making God the center
of our lives. Charlie did an excellent job of presenting the lesson and bring
out things that we hadn’t thought about. It was near 1:00 pm when we got home.
It was time to relax as Cheri and I are still trying to get caught up on our
resting. We watched a little TV this afternoon before heading back to church at
5:00 pm to hear the Rob Mills Family and now have changed their name to The Sound.
They have a wonderful music ministry. For more information click on this link: www.thesound.org It was around 7:30 pm when we arrived back
home. A little more TV and we called it a night.

I didn’t get up until 7:00
am, can’t remember the last time I slept in so late. Cheri was also slower
getting up. We both are still trying to get caught up on our rest. It was 43
degrees this morning and a stiff breeze. We had planned on going to the kumquat
festival in Dade City today but decided it was too cold for us. I was also
going to unload all the tools from the car that we took to Darren’s but didn’t
feel like doing that either. Cheri did some more laundry and made another
valentine wreath for the front door. I did some computer work. This afternoon
we spent time in Bible study and getting ready for our Sunday school lesson. We
tried to watch some TV shows that we had recorded and both of us had trouble
staying awake. That is pretty much the way our day went.

Cheri and I both got up
tired this morning. In fact I snored so much that Cheri had to get up and go to
the other bedroom to sleep. I took Cheri for her 9:00 am haircut and then after
dropping her off at home I went and got my haircut. I was only back home a
short time before Roger and Pat arrived (Cheri and Pat were fiends before I knew
Cheri). We had a great visit and then went out to Sunrise Restaurant for lunch.
After lunch we took them over Ollie’s to do some shopping. Then back home for
some more visiting. After they left we went over to Grandma’s to see how she
was doing and to get her grocery list. Then to Wal-Mart for her groceries. By
the time we got everything done it was 6:00 pm when we got home. Because we had
a big lunch we settled for an English muffin with peanut butter and a couple of
cookies for supper. We watch a little TV and was in bed a little past 9:00 pm.

I put in a bad night along
with Cheri. I woke up at 2:30 am and couldn’t go back to sleep and Cheri woke
up around 3:00 am. We finally got up at 3:45 am. Cheri was ready to spend some
more time with Wyatt before Brooke left with him at 6:30 am heading for day
care and then to work. Daren left for work around 7:00 am. It took me a couple
of hours to get all my tools loaded into the car and get the garage cleaned up.
While I was doing that Cheri was busy doing some cleaning and packing our clothes.
Checked the traffic before we got on the road and there was an accident on
highway 400 with two of four lanes closed. We left at 9:10 am and did get into
some very slow moving traffic from the accident. After that traffic move well.
When we got on I-85 we got in the HOV lane and stayed in that all the way out
of Atlanta which really helped. We stopped in Macon at Applebee’s for lunch and
then about 50 miles north of Florida for gas and one more stop at the first
Florida rest area to do some walking as I was very tired and needed to get woke
up. We got home at 5:10 pm. Cheri fixed us some soup for supper and unpacked
all the clothes and put away the suitcases. We were both exhausted and were in
bed by 9:00 pm.
