I was up at 4:45 am to get ready to leave for our fishing trip at 5:30 am and pick up Chris at 6:00 am. We couldn’t find where we were supposed to go and did a lot of driving around and ask people and everyone told us something different. So we were late getting there and then was told by the Charter Company that our fishing trip was booked for next Monday. They said that we could still go but would to wait for a boat and crew. So we decide to cancel for today and go tomorrow. It was probably a good thing anyway as a painter was coming to do painting today and Darren really needed to be here for that. Chris and Sheryl came over late morning. To get away from the paint smells the owner let us go up to the roof top patio for the day. Darren wants to see about using it on a regular bases. No time for cooking so we ordered in pizza from Domino’s. After the Painter left Darren, Brooke, and Wyatt made trip to Wal-Mart. I stayed with Harper. We had leftover pizza for supper. No sunset this evening as it is raining.

Today is my lovely wife’s birthday. So sweet heart have a great day, wish I could be there to celebrate with you. We will have to have a date night when I get back. It was near 7:30 am when I got out of bed. I was awake at 5:00 am but see any reason to get that early. Darren fixed us scrambled eggs for breakfast. Then I worked the rest of the day on the patio and finished with that project just before Brooke and Wyatt arrived. Darren spent most of the day on the computer working from home which is the way he will be doing his work from now on. He took a break to go down to the meat market to get some chicken breast and then to the open air market for vegetables and fruit. The plumber was here this afternoon to repair the leak at the kitchen sink and replace the wax ring under the toilet which was leaking. Brooke said that Wyatt was really good for the flight down and even napped for about 45 minutes. Sandwiches and salad for supper. I am going to bed early as we have to leave here 5:30 am to pick up Chris for our day of deep sea fishing. Didn't get to see a sunset last night as was cloudy and raining.

I was awake at 5:00 am but didn’t feel like getting up so stayed in until about 6:15 am. I was done with the blog before Darren got up. Didn’t have any breakfast not even any coffee for the last two days. We had an early lunch of turkey and cheese sandwich with some chips. This afternoon we went to Home Depot, sure is a lot different than the ones in the states. We bought an additional fan to help move the air. Also got some screening to put up on the patio to keep Wyatt from falling through and him from dropping toys over the side. When we got home I worked on putting the screening around the patio. Also a guy came to fix the air conditioner, a guy to fix the garage door, and the pool guy. So it was really busy around here for a while. Darren went down to old town to get something for supper, things were close so came back with some more sandwich meat. So it was a ham and cheese sandwich with chips and a beer. The beer was so good that I had a second one, only because it was so hot. That is my story and I am sticking to it.

Last night sunset, not very pretty but got to see it.

The after sunset.

If you have read yesterday’s blog you already know that we drove straight through and got here at 5:15 am. We checked out the house with realtor. Darren has to go around and make list of things that need to be done with pictures so that they can’t make him pay for something that he didn’t do. We got the car unloaded and everything carried up to the third floor. It was really only one flight of stairs has you come in at the second floor level. Darren is busy getting things unpacked. He also made a trip to Wal-Mart to see about a highchair and crib for Wyatt. He didn’t have any luck finding something. So Brooke is going to order something on line and have it delivered. I took a badly needed shower and got myself cleaned up while Darren was gone. Can’t drink the water so he bought a water delivery service with a water cooler. I did lay down for a while and took a short nap. I think I feel worse than I did before the nap, we had chicken and cheese sandwiched for lunch along with some chips. Darren and I both laid down this afternoon for a nap. It is hot here this afternoon and even the breeze is very warm. We found that there is no remote for the air conditioner, so no cooling. The air conditioner in Darren’s bedroom does work but the one in my bedroom doesn’t work. Supposed to be someone coming tomorrow to fix it. This evening we walked down to old town to have tacos for dinner and then walked on down to the beach, couldn’t believe all the people that were there. We took a cab back to the house as it is too steep of a walk back and hundreds of steps to climb. We watched the sunset and then called it a night.

We were up at 4:00 am and on our way by 5:05 am with a cup of coffee for me and a Red Bull for Darren. About 40 miles from Laredo TX to fill up with gas and had a Subway breakfast, not to our liking but it was something to eat. It cost us $3.50 at the US border to get in Mexico. Next we weren’t sure where to go to get the Mexico paper work done. We stopped at money exchange Where Darren got some money exchanged and ask a guy that was there for money exchange if he knew where to go and he said he was on his way there and we could follow him. I waited in the car with Harper while Darren went in to get his paper work done. When he came back it was my turn. Long story short it took us three hours, long lines to wait in. We had eighteen miles to drive before crossing through Mexican customs and figured we would be tied up there for an hour or more. But when we got there they just waved us on through without stopping. We had another good day as the 4 runner ran well and no problems. We did drive through a lot of rain in the afternoon, also hail and then a dust storm and more rain. We had planned on staying at Guadalajara for the night. Well it was 12:30 am when we got there and would be well after 1:00 am before getting settled in a room. So we made the decision to drive straight though to Puerto Vallarta and arrived at 5:15 am. We stopped at Wal-Mart which is open 24 hours a day. Darren pick up a few things we needed this morning. It was 6:30 am when we got to Darren and Brooke’s new place. At 7:00 am Darren texted the realtor and she came right over with the keys so we could get in. This is the reason that the Blog is late today. I will try to have pictures posted tomorrow.
