It was 63 degrees for the morning walk and no wind. I left the house at 6:45 am to get the breakfast sandwich at the Hole-in-One donut shop. Then back home for breakfast and coffee. Then out the door again at 7:30 am heading to Lowes to pick up the deck boards for the deck project. I work on the deck project until 1:00 pm. It was too hot and not in the shade any longer. The high temp was in the low 80’s and the humidity is back. Cheri was taking it easy reading and watching TV. After I showered and got cleaned up we headed to Lakeland to have dinner at Harry’s and were back home by 5:00 pm. It was a normal evening of TV and had a dish of ice cream later in the evening.

This is how I got on the project Friday.

This is how far I got today.

It was a little warmer this morning for the walk, only needed a light jacket. I started the laundry this morning and Cheri finished it. Cheri busied herself with the normal Friday housework. I left at 9:00 am to work on the patio deck project. I had another good day except for later in the afternoon. I ended up with too much sun and had to quit at 2:30 pm. I forgot to take a picture of the progress I made today. We had planned on going Lakeland to eat at Harry’s this evening but when I got home I told Cheri I was too tired and exhausted to go. After I got cleaned up I headed to the recliner and had an hours nap. Cheri fixed us breakfast for supper. Had eggs, bacon, hash browns, juice, and English muffins. This evening we watched Life below Zero the Next Generation, Airplane Repo, and Date Line. Thank you God for a productive day and keeping healthy and safe.

Another nice morning walking with a temp at 56 degrees and no wind. I left the house at 9:00 am and picked up Ron Sharp to go to his daughter’s rental to install a new dishwasher. The trip should only take a half hour but today there was so much traffic in both directions that we couldn’t move only a few feet at a time. We finally got off on a side street but had to drive an extra 20 miles to get there. I had to come up with some special fittings to install the water to the dishwasher which I figured I wouldn’t have with me. But after going through my plumbing boxes I came up with the right fittings. While working on the dishwasher I got another call that neighbors of some church friends had a leak under the bathroom sink and wanted me to check it out. It was on my way home so stopped and it was a small leak in the waste line and all I had to do was tighten it up. The neighbor will be gone for a month and wants to shut off the water to the house. Well the water shutoff box at the street was full of sand. I cooped out three pails of sand to get to the shutoff valves. From there I took the old dishwasher to the scarp yard and then stopped fill up the truck with gas. It was 2:30 pm when I got home. I missed lunch so was really hungry. After eating a sandwich I headed to the shower to get cleaned up. Cheri was busy with laundry and other housework. She fixed us the rest of the baked spaghetti for supper, which we had later because of my late lunch. This evening we watched more episodes of Airplane Repo. Thank you God for a blessed day with safe travels and helping us with our projects.

It was 46 degrees this morning for the walk and no breeze which made for a nice walk. I was out the door at 9:00 am to work on the deck project. I made another change to the project. It started out as a 4’ by 7’ deck. A couple days ago it got change to 4’ by 10’ deck because one of the post would fall right in the middle of the liana window. So today I thought that the 4’ by 10’ wouldn’t look right so I extended it by 2’ and now the deck will be 6’ by 10’ which will make it look better. I did get a lot done today and needed an additional 10’ 2 by 6 plus some misalliance bolts and hangers. So I knock off early to go to Lowes. I was home by 4:00 pm. Cheri went shopping today and even bought me a few things. She made a baked French bread loaf for supper. This evening we watched several episodes of a show that Cheri found. I think the name of the show was Airplane Repo. They go out and reposes airplanes that haven’t been paid for. It is on the Discovery Chanel. They also show a couple other guys reposing million dollar yachts. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and keeping us healthy.

Today temps were pretty much the same as yesterday. I left the house at 6:30 am for my accountability breakfast and Bible study. We studied the first part of Acts chapter nine. It was near 9:00 am when I got home. At 9:30 am I headed over to Donna’s to start on the deck project. By the time I got all the materials unloaded and back to the house to get my saws and other tools it was near noon. So we had lunch before going back to work. Cheri was busy with the Tuesday house work and went to the grocery store to get things to make a tossed salad that I have to take for my Men’s Night Out. I had a design change in the deck and had to make another trip to Lowes for additional materials so I didn’t get much done today and had to quit early to get cleaned up and be at the church 6:00 pm to help set things up for Men’s Night Out. Our devotions was on how to be a good steward with what God gives us. It was getting near 9:00 pm when I got home. I was tired from the day and decided to head to bed and watch a little TV before calling it a night. Thank you God for a blessed day and spending time in fellowship and learning about your word.

This is a picture of Donna's deck project before I stated. I will try to remember and add pictures as the project progresses.
