Patti and Charlie

Charlie, Patti and Cheri

Gay and Cheri

Clearwater Beach

Clearwater Beach

French's Rockway Grill

We both were up early this morning and had our morning walk done before 6:00 am. It was the coolest morning we have had in a long time, 53 degrees. I went over to Ed & Lorraine’s this morning to help Ed put away their yard swing. I said goodbye to them as they are leaving Friday morning to head back to Maine. We left here around 10:00 am and headed to Clearwater to see friends from our Alaskan trip (Patti & Charlie Wiley and their son Griffin). This is the first time we have been to their home. Charlie and Patti showed us through their home and we got to see all the quilts that Patti has made. Patti is one of the people that got Cheri started in making quilts. What a beautiful home they have. We had a nice visit and then headed down to Clearwater beach for lunch at Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill. The food was great; Cheri and I each had a Cajun Grouper sandwich with home potato chips. After lunch we took a walk on the beach, saw some very nice tatoos. Then we drove down along the beach and then back to Patti & Charlie’s. We did some more visiting reminiscing about our trip we took to Alaska. Also about the trips we have planned for this summer. At 5:00 pm we said our goodbyes and headed for home. It was a wonderful day to spend with special friends.

Neither of us slept very good last night. Don’t know what the problem was, we both kept waking up during the night and both had a hard time getting back to sleep. I guess it is one of those problems a person has when they get older. We had a very pretty sunrise this morning. The day was very nice with a high of 75 degrees and no humpty. This afternoon we and Grandma were invited over to Harold & JoAnn Zellor’s. They use to live behind Grandma’s. In January they bought a different place in another park on the other side of town. It was the first time we have been to their new home. It is a double wide trailer with a screened in porch and a two car attached car port. Their little dog Jack was so happy to see us. We had a very nice visit and JoAnn at made a kumquat pie. It was the first time we have had Kumquat pie and it was very good. When we left we dropped Grandma off at home and Cheri and I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. This evening we were invited over to Dean & Betty’s to play dominos. Grandma and Rick & Janice were also there. Rick and I played against Cheri and Janice. We guys were the victors this evening.

After our morning walk I went to work on washing the truck and giving it a wax job. That project consumed most of my day. Cheri was doing laundry and cleaning cupboards. At 2:00 pm we went over to Grandma’s as I had called Pest control to come and spray the inside and outside around her trailer. When we got home I did some paper work on the computer and Cheri started making chicken and dumplings for supper. It has been a long time since she has made them. It is one of my favorites. On our evening walk we stopped to visit with Ed & Lorraine as they were sitting outside. It was 7:30 pm before we got home from our walk. We settled in for the evening to watch Dancing with the Stars.

After the morning walk I went to work on getting the 5th wheel wash. Cheri went over to Grandma’s to wash down the bathroom, kitchen and the living room. When I got there all she had left to do was move the furniture so she could do the vacuuming. The wind from the storm last night tore the brackets from the front awning and also bent one of the brackets. I had to go and get my tools and redo the brackets. It was 1:00 pm before we got done. I also had a leak under the bathroom sink and needed to go to Lowe’s to get parts to repair it. So we stopped at Chilli’s for their soup and salad for lunch. When we got home I work on fixing the leak and Cheri did a cleaning on the refrigerator and freezer. It turned out the parts I got for the sink didn’t work and I was able to fix it with the old parts and a new gasket. I took the parts back to Lowe’s and bought a new flag pole mount. The wind last night whipped the flag around hard enough to break the mount. That is the second mount the wind has broken this year. When we did our evening walk we see that some more people have left.

After church we ordered in Papa John’s Pizza. They had a special going so we could get an extra large for $11:99. So we had pizza for lunch and supper. I installed the new seat on the motorcycle and Cheri and I went for a 63 mile ride to see if it was any better for Cheri. We usually have to stop between 30 and 40 miles so Cheri can get off. We did the whole 63 miles without stopping. So would say it is a keeper. I didn’t like it when we started but the farther we rode the better I liked it. When we got home I watched the NASCAR Race. I think it was the best race so far this season. Cheri watched some, read some and napped some. We were invited over to Grandma’s this evening. Dean & Betty were also there. We played two games of dominos which Betty won one game and Cheri won the other one. Of course that was no surprise as they both are very lucky. We had two very bad storms come through last night. Lots of rain and very strong winds. It started around 6:30 pm and was still going when we went to bed at 11:30 pm.

After our morning walk we got ready and headed to The Ultimate Seat store in Ormond Beach Florida. They sell aftermarket seats for motorcycles. Cheri has a hard time riding very far and we are hoping that a different seat will help. The good part is we get to try it out for 14 days. If it doesn’t work out we can send it back and get all our money back. It can’t get any better than that. The seat store was next to Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley Davidson dealer which is the world’s largest motorcycle inventory dealer. They have a huge building with two floors of motor cycles. And next to that is a huge complex with several stores with related motorcycle products. Next to that to that is a huge J&P Cycles store which carries parts and accessories for Harleys from 1936 to 2010. They also carry a lot of accessories for other bikes. I bought a repair manual for our motorcycle at the Harley dealer. Cheri bought a purse at J&P’s. Then we stopped at the Harley outlet store and bought a tee shirt. We stopped in Dade City on the way home for supper. We each had a pulled pork sandwich. It was around 5:30 pm when we got home and a trip of near 300 miles. We did our evening walk and stopped to say good bye to Ken & Eileen and Roger. They are leaving in the morning. They were going to leave this morning but after looking at the weather decided to wait another day as they would have been traveling through some very bad weather. I have uploaded some pictures of the day. See album: Rossmeyer's Harley Dealer

We went out for breakfast this morning with Grandma, Ken & Eileen, and Roger at Golden Corral. Ken & Eileen and Roger are leaving bright and early in the morning to head back to Wisconsin. It was our last chance to spend some time together. When we got home Cheri and I went to Grandma’s to redo the flower bed in front of her park model. We took out the old bushes that froze and died last winter. Raised up the border blocks and filled it with mulch. Now if Grandma decides to have some flowers she can set out some plant pots with flowers in them. Cheri did her weekly laundry and cleaning, I did some general maintenance work outside. The rest of the day we took it easy. We did go for supper at a new restaurant called The Chowder House. We had to wait about twenty minutes to get in. We shared a table with another couple from New York. We had the fried Haddock which was excellent. The worst part was we had to wait an hour for our food. We had a nice visit with the couple from New York while we waited, that made the time go faster. They told us that if you get there before 4:00 pm the wait isn’t so long. I am not sure if we will get back before we head north. We did our evening walk around 7:30 pm, was a little cooler and made for a very nice walk.

I finally got the key I needed to get into get into the neighbors trailer. So the guy from the air conditioning repair shop came around 10:00 am to fix the air conditioner. Bonnie had a new thermostat installed a few weeks ago and it turned out that was what the problem was. So the guy installed another new one. We decided to go over to Wal-Mart to pick up some mulch to put in Grandma’s flower bed. It is too much work for her to take care of any flowers anymore. So I am going to put down some black cloth and put cedar mulch down. That way if she wants to have some flowers later we can set out some plant pots. We were just ready to leave the park when we got a call from Ken wanting me to go down to their place and help Roger load the radio into the trailer. It is an antique radio that weighed about 150 lbs. While we were at Wal-Mart I picked up the additional containers I needed for the truck compartments. After lunch I finished up getting the containers packed and into the truck compartments. It is going to work so much better as the containers are clear plastic so I will be able to see what is stored in each one making it easier to get what I need to get out. I got the grill out and did a steak for supper. Cheri did some baked potatoes. This evening we went over to Grandma’s to visit. Ken & Eileen and Roger were there. We had a nice visit and Grandma had cake, ice cream and coffee for us.

We were slow getting around this morning. Cheri needed some extra sleep. It was 8:00 am before we got done with our morning walk. Cheri took Grandma for her 10:15 am eye doctor appointment. I got a call from Roger and I said that I was just going to walk down and he said OK I will see you in a couple of minutes. We had a nice visit and I headed back to the 5th wheel around 11:30 am. I went to work on the truck box compartments. I closed up the vents and used some chalking on them. I also chalked the drain holes. Now I need to let the chalk set up. I had bought a couple of plastic containers to help keep things dry. I need to go and get some more of them. Later this afternoon Cheri and I did some computer work. After our evening walk we went over to Dean & Betty’s to play dominos. It has been a few weeks since we played; most of the people we play with have gone back north for the summer. We guys won one game and the ladies won one.

It was a warm 62 degrees this morning and very foggy. I figured it was a good time to wash Grandma’s park model. So after our morning walk and breakfast I went to work on getting the trailer washed. It was a big job; it was after 1:30 pm before I got done. By the time I got cleaned up and shaved it was 2:00. Then it was time for a very late lunch. Cheri took Grandma for her appointment at the heart doctor. She is still having the same problem with a fast heart beat. So the doctor changed her medicine. So early evening we had to go over to Wal-Mart to pick up her new prescription. Before we got done with that it started to rain so there wasn’t any evening walk. We settled in for an evening of TV. Cheri had to watch Dancing with the Stars. She cheered when Kate got voted off.

We see on our morning walk that the park is getting really empty, not many of us left to leave. We will be leaving on 5/3/10. Our neighbor that left a couple of weeks ago called and wanted me to have the air conditioner people come to look at her air conditioner as she doesn’t think that it is work right. She had somebody drop of the keys to her place and I called to have the guy come. He said he would be here between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm. He was right on time and when I went to unlock the door the key wouldn’t work. So the guy made trip for nothing. I called Bonnie and left a message for her to send me a key that works. We went to Wal-Mart this morning as we had to get some groceries and some things for Grandma. This afternoon Cheri and I had appointments to get our eyes tested. It has been two years since we had it done and we both have to have new glasses. We also made a stop at the Wal-Mart in Dade City as we had a $5.00 gift card that was only good at Dade City. So Cheri bought a novel to read. Our evening walk was cut short because it started to rain. We made a quick walk back home and arrived just before it really started coming down.

It was raining when we got up this morning and was still raining when we went to bed tonight. I was up at 5:00 am as we had a couple of extra people that had to use the bathroom. We had a van full for church this morning. After church we dropped Ed & Lorraine off at their place and the rest of us headed to Golden Corral for lunch. As soon as we got home Darren & Jodi loaded up their Jeep and headed back to Atlanta. It looked like they would be out of the rain after 100 miles. I did some computer work and Cheri did some reading and laundry. Later in the afternoon I settled into the recliner to watch the NASCAR Race only to find that it was raining in Texas and it was canceled, so tomorrow I will have to record it as we both have eye doctor appointments. Cheri and I played a couple of games of Five Crown that she let me win. Then we played a game of cribbage which she won.

It was another slow morning getting around. Darren wanted me to help him put a trailer hitch on their new Jeep. When we got that done we put a mirror relocation kit on the Jeep. The mirrors are mounted on the doors and we relocated them to the windshield pillar post. Darren wants to take the doors off this summer and needed to relocate the mirrors so he would have useable mirrors while the doors were off. We took a ride down town to see if we could get the trailer hitch wiring harness, but didn’t have any luck so he will have to order one when he gets home. I did chicken, hamburgers and brats on the grill for lunch. Grandma came over for lunch and brought a peanut butter pie. Sure was good. Grandma, Jodi and Cheri played cards while Darren and I visited and got Cheri’s IPod hooked up to the surround sound system. Around 4:00 pm we went down to Plant City for the car show. Wow! We couldn’t believe how many cars were there. On the way home we stopped at DQ for ice cream. Then back home to play a game of Pictionary. It has been a lot of years since we have played that game. It was fun and had a lot of laughs. We watch a little TV and called it a night.

None of us got around very early because of the late night last night. We hung out here at the 5th wheel this morning. Darren and I did a quick wash job on their new Jeep Wrangler as it was covered with bugs, somewhere around the Georgia and Florida bordure they ran into a lot of bugs. Darren said it was so bad that they had to stop and clean the windshield. At 11:30 am we went over to Grandma’s for a visit. It has been a few years since Darren & Jodi have seen Grandma. She was very happy to see them. At 1:00 pm Grandma came over to have lunch with us. Then we all loaded up in the van and headed to the Harley dealer in Brandon. Darren wanted to get a Harley tee shirt. He couldn’t find any that he liked so we headed on down to Bradenton Harley dealer. He found one there. From there we went to the Roaring Twenties for music and pizza. The organ music was good as usual. They played the stripper song and they had a guy dress in costume who danced around like he was stripping. Grandma maybe 88 years old but she is young at heart as she was trying to stuff a dollar bill in his costume. It was very funny and we all had a good laugh about it. Oh the pizza was also very good. We made a stop at Wal-Mart on the way home. I picked up a cable so Darren can hook up Cheri’s IPod to the surround sound in the 5th wheel. It was 9:30 pm before we got home. It was a fun day with great weather.

Cheri did laundry and took Grandma for her doctor appointment this morning. I work on getting the 5th wheel and truck ready for our summer trip. I aired up the tires on the 5th wheel and put on the pressure monitors. I also checked the air pressure on the truck tires. Most of the tires needed a little air. Then I got the grease gun out and greased the 5th wheel. I also did some caulking on the back of the 5th wheel where the holes were from the old rock guard. Then I cleaned out the side compartments on the truck. They have never been water tight. So I am trying to figure out what to do to help keep the water out. I think it’s going to be doing some caulking and tightening up the door latch to make a better seal. The compartments had vents in them along with drain holes in the bottom. So whatever I do will be better than they were before. Also when to Lowe’s to see if I could get some water tight Rubbermaid containers. I couldn’t find a size to fit, so I will keep looking. Darren & Jodi arrived around 11:30 pm. They will be spending the weekend with us. It is nice that they took the time from their busy schedules to come and see us. We haven’t seen them since Oct when they came to see us in Savanna Georgia. It was almost 2:00 am before we called it a night.

It was in the low 80’s and very windy today. Grandma called this morning and wanted to go to Wal-Mart. So Cheri went over and took her. It worked out ok as Cheri needed a few things. I worked on the truck. I installed a back up camera that I have had for a couple of years. The monitor that I got with it was too small to be able to see anything. The camera works with the monitor that I have for the back camera on the 5th wheel. So now for the first time I can see the hitch on the truck. It should make it easier to hook up. It was 4:00 pm before I got done. Cheri went shopping over to Beall’s this afternoon. She had a $20.00 certificate to use and she only had a week to use it and today was the day. What a good shopper she is, she called me from the store and said that she couldn’t find anything she wanted. She used the certificate to buy me a pair of shorts and she did find a pair of slacks for herself. Around 4:30 pm Cheri and I went out for supper of baked haddock at Butche’s Seafood Shack. It was the best fish we have had here in Florida. Instead of a Friday fish fry they have theirs on Wednesday. This evening we were invited down to Ken & Eileen’s for cards. They wanted to have one last party before everyone headed north.

It was another great day in Florida, a high of 82 degrees, lots of sun and low humidity. We saw a pretty sun rise on our morning walk. The first thing I did today was install the battery fill kit that I bought yesterday. It worked out great and will make checking the water in the batteries a breeze. After I got that done I trimmed the trees behind the 5th wheel. Something I have wanted to do all winter. Roger and Ken picked us up at 10:00 am to go to the flea market by the airport. Cheri found the large cupcake liners for her muffin tins. She has been looking everywhere for them. I bought a half a flat of strawberries for $3.00. We got back home around 12:00 pm. After lunch I with Cheri’s help I got the new mud and rock guard on the back of the 5th wheel. That took all afternoon to get done. We had a hamburger and strawberry short cake for supper. We almost got caught in a rain storm on our evening walk. Has it turned out we were in the post office when it started and it was over in ten minutes. When we got home we settled in to watch Dancing with the Stars.

We spent most of the morning doing paper work for Grandma. Around 11:00 am we took the van and went shopping in Lakeland. Cheri had an ad for a door mat at Target that she wanted. She found the one’s she wanted, yep she bought two. They do look nice and go with the decor we have in this 5th wheel. We made a stop at Harbor Freight to see if the step we had a rain check for was in, sure enough it was in and we didn’t buy it as we thought it was too high to use as an extra step to get into the 5th wheel. We stopped at the Olive Garden for their soup, salad and bread sticks. The food was pretty good but our server was really bad. Having a bad server makes for a poor meal experience. After lunch we drove over to Camping World to buy the extra step that they sell for the 5th wheel. I am glad it worked out that way because it was a much better step then the one at Harbor Freight. It just goes to show you get what you pay for. Of course we had to buy a few other things while we were there. We bought the Exit Now book, it shows all the facilities at each exit on the all the interstate highways. I believe it will help as we travel the US. I also bought a battery fill kit. It is so hard to see into the batteries on the 5th wheel and fill them. Once the kit is installed all you have to do is connect the pump bulb to the kit and drop the other end in a jug of distilled water and squeeze the bulb. When you get a stiff resistance the batteries are full o water. When we got home we checked out the new things we bought and then took our evening walk. We didn’t plan on having any supper after our big lunch today but around 6:30 pm I told Cheri I was hungry so she fixed us a hamburger. Then it was time to settle in for the evening and watch Dancing with the Stares.

Well today started out like every other Sunday. We picked up Grandma and Ed & Lorraine for church at 9:15 am. It was a beautiful day with the temp in the low 80’s. We were supposed to get a passing rain shower, but it never happened. This afternoon we were invited down to LaVerne & Delores’s. Grandma, Ken & Eileen, and Roger were also there. We had a nice visit and we guys played cards (Euchre). The ladies played Five Crown and Dominos. It was after 6:00 pm before we got home.

We went to Wal-Mart to get some groceries. Cheri had a few things she wanted to pick up for the fruit salad that she is going to make for the Pot Luck supper this evening. I also filled Grandma’s van with gas. The price of gas is going up and the price of diesel has now gone over $3.00 here in Florida. I haven’t checked other states as we aren’t ready to leave here. When we got home I went to work on cleaning the motorcycle. It hadn’t been detailed for a couple of months. So today was the day to getter done. I started on it around 10:00 am and didn’t get done until 4:00 pm. It looks like it just came off the floor room floor. It looks so nice I almost hate to ride it. At 3:00 pm Cheri took her fruit salad down to the Rec hall and got our table reserved for the Pot Luck supper. At 4:45 pm we picked up Grandma and headed down to the Rec Hall for pot luck. The food was great and a lot of leftovers. It was the last Pot Luck until next fall. At 8:30 pm we went down to Ken & Eileen’s. I drove their car and headed to the airport to pick up Roger. He has come down to spend a couple of weeks and to get things closed up and drive Ken & Eileen back to Wisconsin for the summer. It was around 11:30 pm before we got home. I recorded the NASCAR Race and tried to watch it, but couldn’t stay awake so I will watch the rest of the race tomorrow. Hope I don’t see who won before I watch it.

It started to rain around midnight and then most of the night. It did quit long enough for us to do our morning walk. We had planned on a motorcycle ride to see Larry & Denise. They are camped down in Bradenton and we were going to leave here around 9:30 am to go and see them. But with the rain showers we figured we would be taking the truck. While we were waiting to see what the weather did, we went to see how Grandma was doing after her laser treatment the other day. She said she was doing OK. As it turned out we were able to take the motorcycle after all. I checked the radar on the internet and things looked good so we were on the road at 11:45 am. It was 1:30 pm before we got to Larry & Denise’s. Larry was busy washing their cargo trailer that they haul their motorcycles in. It had been in storage and under some trees. They are leaving Monday to head back to Canada. Some friends of theirs (Doug & Connie) stopped by and the six of us had a very nice visit. At 4:30 pm we all headed to the Roaring Twenties for pizza and some good old organ music. After we eat we said our goodbyes and headed home. We got home at 8:30 pm. It was a 186 mile ride. After the rain and clouds cleared out it was a beautiful day.

We were up early as I had to be at the hospital at 6:45 am for my Colonoscopy. Things went well and I had to have three polyps removed. We were back home by 11:00 am. Cheri did laundry and some house cleaning. I took it easy for the day, played on the computer, read, watched TV and took a long nap this afternoon. The big event for the day was the evening walk. Wow!

We did our morning walk and that’s the only time I have been out today. Cheri took Grandma for her doctor’s appointment to have some leaser treatment done on one of her eyes. She had the other one done a month or so ago. I took the medicine to clean me out for my Colonoscopy that I am having done tomorrow. So I made sure I stayed within a very short distance to the toilet. I did a few things on the computer, read and watched TV. It was a boring day. Plus it was another very nice day. The temp was in the low 80’s.

This morning I helped our neighbor get things loaded into her van. She is heading back north today. I was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and in the low 80’s. Bud and I took a 177 mile motorcycle ride today. We left at 9:45 am and rode up to Ocala to the Harley dealer. Then we headed toward the Golf coast and stopped a place called Red’s for lunch. We once again took as many back roads that would lead us back towards Zephyrhills. We made a stop in Dade City so Bud could have a patch sewed on his coat. I had drop off my coat yesterday and was told it wouldn’t be done until the 13th. When we went in to the shop the guy looked at me and said that my coat was done. It looks good with a couple of Harley patches on it. Bud and I got home around 3:30 pm. The door to the 5th wheel was locked and I forgot to take my keys with me. I also found that I had the keys to Grandma’s van with me. So Cheri had to walk over to Grandma’s to get her keys and then walk back to get the van as it was parked at our place because Cheri had to take Grandma for her heart doctor’s appointment. Grandma has an irregular heartbeat. So they gave her a prescription for some medicine that is supposed to take care of it. I went over to Ed & Lorraine’s to visit with them while waiting for Cheri to get home. This evening we got a call from Darren and he said he and Jodi are coming down for the next weekend and will get here around midnight on 15th. It will be nice to see them.

We got to see the space shuttle go up this morning. What a site to see, I think there are only three more times for the space shuttle. I am not sure what they are going to use after they retire the shuttle. Cheri took Grandma for her doctor’s appointment this morning and then to Wal-Mart to get some groceries and to drop off a prescription. Then they went to the Dollar Store to get an assortment cards. I did some cleaning on the motorcycle and installed the wireless antenna on the 5th wheel. I had to make a bracket from a piece of steel because the antenna has a magnetic base. When Cheri got home we went to get a tank of LP which the price is now up to $24.00 for a 30 pound tank. When we got here last fall I bought a package of 5 tanks for $21 dollars per tank. Then we stopped to get the license plates for Grandma’s van, there were around 50 people waiting so we decided to come back at a later time. We had to be back to go out to eat at the Golden Corral with Ken & Eileen, Grandma, and Dean & Betty. It was Ken & Eileen’s 68th wedding anniversary. After we dropped everyone off at their places Cheri and I went back to get the license plates and there wasn’t anyone waiting and got right in. From there we went to Dade City to drop off my motorcycle jacket to have a couple of patches sewed on. Then back to Wal-Mart to pick up Grandma’s medicine. We did our evening walk and stopped by Ed Lorraine’s as they were sitting outside. It was after 8:00 pm before we got home. Then it was time to settle in for the evening and watch Dancing with the Stars.

Happy Easter to everyone. We took Grandma and Ed & Lorraine to church this morning. After church we went to Golden Corral for our Easter dinner. The food is always very good and every one can have whatever they want and as much as you want. After dinner we drop Ed & Lorraine off at their place and then we stopped by Grandma’s and play three games of Five Crown. It was a fun time. Late this afternoon we got a video call from Coz, Nikki, and Cece. It was great to be able to see them while talking to them. Cece is learning how to place her fingers on the keyboard so all she wanted to do was type messages to us. The last few days up north have been very nice. So they wanted to know when we were coming back to Wisconsin. Of course we are in no hurry as we know that they still have some cold weather coming. No supper this evening because of the big dinner. On our evening walk we see Dean and Betty sitting outside so we stopped and visited with them. By the time we got our walk done and home it was 9:00 pm. It was another great day with the temp in the mid 80’s.

Once again we got a call at 12:30 am from Grandma’s heart monitor service and then again at 6:30 am. We are glad that the test is now done. We took the monitor off of Grandma at 10:00 am and put in the mail. We did our grocery shopping and then back home. We had lunch and then went to Lakeland shopping. We stopped at Harbor Freight to pick up a collapsible step for the 5th wheel entry door; there are some places that we need the extra step to get in. Well they were sold out and got a rain check. Then we made a stop at the DQ, first time this year and that wasn’t very good. Cheri wanted to stop at Michaels for some ladder ribbon and they didn’t have any. So we stopped by Best Buy so I could pick up a SMI extension cable, they didn’t have one. Cheri went into Joann Fabric for the ladder ribbon and they said they never heard of it. So we came home empty handed. When we got home Cheri gave me a much needed hair cut. Then we stopped to see Ken & Eileen on our way to Dade City for the Saturday Night Cruse In. There were a lot of cars and some we haven’t seen before. We were back home by 6:00 pm and had a late supper. Hey at least it was a beautiful day with a high of 84 degrees.

This morning the weather was great for walking and got up to a high of 81 degrees and no wind. It was a perfect day for a motorcycle ride. Bud and I along with another guy here in the park (Don) headed out at 9:45 am. We made a stop at the Harley dealer in Kissimmee. Then we stopped for lunch at Burger King. From there we took a different route back to Lakeland and stopped at the Harley dealer. Then it was time to head for home and arrived at 4:30 pm. It was a great 134 mile ride. Cheri went over to Grandma’s to put the heart monitor on the charger. She did a couple loads of laundry and then went shopping at Beall’s. She had a good day and found several things that she liked. For supper Cheri made a pasta dish called Pizza Pasta Dinner, also garlic Texas toast and strawberry shortcake for dessert. I it was very good and I didn’t go away hungry. On our evening walk we stopped by Dean & Betty’s for a visit. Then we were going to stop by Ken & Eileen’s but we could see that they had company. It was near 8:00 pm before we got back home.

Hey!! We just won 11 million dollars in the lottery. April fools. Well it would be a nice dream. We got a call at 1:30 am from the monitoring center on Grandma’s heart monitor. We had it set up so we wouldn’t have to respond until the next day when we would take it off Grandma to put it on the charger. Well the word never got pass along so we had to get dressed and go over and check on her and call the monitor center to tell them that she was ok. Cheri told them that she was death and that is why they had our number to call and that Grandma would write down the time and the problem when she pressed the button and then we would call them with the results when we would put the monitor on charge. We got back to bed around 2:15 am. We both had a hard time getting back to sleep. Then we get another call from them at 7:30 am. Once again we had to go over and check and call the monitor center back and tell them everything was ok. At 10:30 am I went over and took the monitor off so it could be charged up. At 11:30 am we went back and put the monitor back on Grandma and Cheri called in to the monitoring center and talked to the person that she talked to the day before and told her what had happened. So once again we hope things will go better. Cheri worked on the binding of her picture quilt and I mowed four lawns and did the trimming. By the time I got that done I was hot, dirty and tired. I took a shower and felt much better. This evening I went down to see how Ken & Eileen were doing and they weren’t home. So I walked on down to get the mail and then back home. It was another perfect day with a high of 78 degrees and no wind.

We went over to Grandma’s this morning and got the heart monitor put on her and tested out with the receiving center in South Carolina. It is for three days, any time she has a problem she has to push the button on the monitor and the monitor center will record it and give us a call to check in with her because she is death and can’t here the phone and the message the monitor sends to her. Today I worked on getting the antenna moved to a different location on the truck. I am putting it on the mirror in hopes that it will have a clearer path to the antenna on the 5th wheel. I hope that I will get a better picture in the truck from the camera on the back of the 5th wheel. Cheri spent the day working on the binding of her picture quilt. It was perfect day weather wise, 74 degrees for a high.
