Gay April-23-10

We went out for breakfast this morning with Grandma, Ken & Eileen, and Roger at Golden Corral. Ken & Eileen and Roger are leaving bright and early in the morning to head back to Wisconsin. It was our last chance to spend some time together. When we got home Cheri and I went to Grandma’s to redo the flower bed in front of her park model. We took out the old bushes that froze and died last winter. Raised up the border blocks and filled it with mulch. Now if Grandma decides to have some flowers she can set out some plant pots with flowers in them. Cheri did her weekly laundry and cleaning, I did some general maintenance work outside. The rest of the day we took it easy. We did go for supper at a new restaurant called The Chowder House. We had to wait about twenty minutes to get in. We shared a table with another couple from New York. We had the fried Haddock which was excellent. The worst part was we had to wait an hour for our food. We had a nice visit with the couple from New York while we waited, that made the time go faster. They told us that if you get there before 4:00 pm the wait isn’t so long. I am not sure if we will get back before we head north. We did our evening walk around 7:30 pm, was a little cooler and made for a very nice walk.
