We did our morning walk here in Fond du Lac. We did the same route that we used last year. It is one of the longest routes we do. We usually do around a mile and a half and this route is about two miles. We did some shopping at some of the stores we used to do a lot of shopping at before we were retired. The first place we stopped at was to have Cheri’s rings checked. It is something we have done every year when we are here. We had to leave the rings as some of the stones were loose and the prongs need to be built up. They said they would give us a call when they were done. We made another stop so Cheri could get her hair cut. She got right in and was done in about 20 minutes. Then we made a stop at Menards just to look around, 55 dollars later we finally left and made a stop at a shop that sells curling irons. This seems to be the only place Cheri can get the kind of curling irons she needs, so she bought two of them. Of course I don’t understand the different; I think it must be a woman thing. Then Cheri had a couple of things she needed to return to Target. Then it was back home for some lunch and to get ready to head to Beaver Dam to have our teeth cleaned. We both found out we have to have some work done. Tomorrow Cheri is having a crown done. Then on Thursday I have to have an old filling removed and a new one put in. After our appointments we made a stop at Fleet Farm to do some more shopping. Then we decided to have an early supper at our favorite Chinese restaurant. We were really disappointed as the food was cold. I think it was because we were early, not enough people to keep a supply of hot food. We got home around 5:30 pm. We spent the evening watching TV.

We were in no hurry this morning as we only had 20 miles to move today. We left Ray and Espie’s around 10 am. By the time we got to Fond du Lac fairgrounds and set up it was a little past noon. We had a sandwich for lunch and then headed over to Nikki and Coz’s place. This is the first time we have seen their place since last spring. They have a new concrete driveway and all new landscaping. Things look really nice. We played some games with Nikki and Cece until it was time to head back to the 5th wheel. Later Nikki came over and we played a couple of games of SOB which I won yea!! We had a late supper here with Coz and Nikki as Coz doesn’t get off work until after 7:00 pm. I got the grill out and did some Rib Eye steaks. After supper we played one game of SOB which Cheri won. Then it was time for Coz and Nikki to go home as Coz has to leave for work by 5:15 am. He works 12 hour days. Cheri took a few pictures on the way to Fond du Lac.

We had a storm come through around 2:00 am and dumped a lot of rain. Then it started again around 7:00 am and didn’t quit until around 2:00 pm, but not a hard rain, just a nice steady rain. We walked over to Ray and Espie’s for brunch. Ray and Espie’s kids were also there along with coz, Nikki and Cece. After brunch we showed Ray and Todd how to play SOB. Around 4:00 pm Ray and Espie’s kids left and the rest of us went for a motorcycle ride to a new ice cream place. From there Coz, Nikki and Cece headed for home. Ray & Espie and Cheri & I rode up along Lake Winnebago and back through the holy land. It was a nice ride but very windy. After we got back to, Cheri and Espie took a walk and Ray worked the dog while I watched. When the ladies got back we had some snacks and showed Espie how to play SOB which she won. Ray has to get up very early for work so we called it a night.

Well we had some rain last night but not as bad as they had predicted. Cheri and I were up, had our coffee and breakfast before Coz, Nikki and Cece walked over. They said they hadn’t had breakfast. We visited for a little bit then walked back over to Ray and Espie’s. Espie and Nikki got them breakfast while we drank more coffee. We all just hung out until after noon. Then we headed out to the bowling alley to celebrate Ray’s birthday. Then it was time for Ray, Espie and Coz to go to a wedding reception. Nikki, Cece, Cheri and I went Geo Caching. We found a total of eight Geo Caches along the Eiesnbahn Trail that is an old railroad bed that was made into a trail and runs through Campbellsport. We must have walked over four miles. Well the walking was good for us as we hadn’t done any for a couple of days. When we got back to the 5th wheel I got the grill out and grilled some hamburgers. After supper Cheri, Nikki and Cece played cards and I watched the NASCAR Race that I had recorder earlier. Coz, Ray and Espie got back around 8:00 pm. So Ray started a bonfire and wanted to celebrate his birthday. I lasted until 9:30 pm and had to turn in for the night. Cheri stayed out until about 10:30 pm. It was another fun day to spend with family and friends.

This morning it was time to leave Christmas Mountain here in Wisconsin Dells. We have a short day of travel, only 100 miles. We will be in Campbellsport for three nights and then we will move to Fond du Lac where we will be for a few weeks. We are staying in Ray and Espie Hall’s yard. Espie is Coz’s sister and we have gotten to know them over the last few years. We arrived here around 1:30 pm and Coz, Nikki and Cece were waiting for us. After we got set up Coz and I took a motorcycle ride to Brandon to get some steaks and brats to do on the grill. Brandon has the best meat market in the country. It was a 75 mile trip and was the best of both worlds, Coz and I got to ride motorcycles together and we got some great steaks. When we got back Ray was home from work and a while later Espie got home. We had the steak for supper and boy was it good. After supper we started a fire to set around and we had to make smores for Cece and all of us big kids. I took a few pictures and Cece took our camera and started taking pictures and boy did she have fun doing that. For pictures of the evening see album: Fun Night.

Today was our 43rd wedding anniversary. Hard to believe it been that long, seem like it was only a few years ago that we got married. Coz, Nikki and Cece were happy to just hang out here today. This forenoon we played a couple games of SOB and then at noon we walked up to the Rec building so Cece could have her picture done by a cartoon artist. It came out really cute and was fun to see how the artist done the picture. Then it was back to the 5th wheel for lunch and more games. At 3:00 pm we went back to the Rec building for the create your own ice cream sundae. Then it was time for Coz, Nikki and Cece to say good bye and head for home. Cheri and I went over to visit with Virgil and Sandy for a while. We decided to go out for supper to celebrate our anniversary; we checked the papers to find a place that we both wanted to go. We couldn’t find anything that tripped our trigger so we decided to stay home and go out some other time when we weren’t so tired. I have added pictures of Cece and Coz & Nikki.

Coz, Nikki and Cece hung out here at the 5th wheel with us this morning. We played a couple games of cards while Cece watched TV and played some games on the computer. After lunch they headed for an indoor park as it threaten to rain most of the day. After they left Cheri and I took a quick motorcycle ride to Baraboo so Cheri could check out the quilt store. It wasn’t much of a store. We headed back because it looked like rain. When we got back I went up to the office to see who was on the site up and across from us. I saw them come in with their motor home and I thought I knew who it was. It turned out to be Virgil and Sandy Kindschi. So I went over and talked to them for a bit and invited them to come over to our place for a visit. It has been maybe seven or eight years since we have seen them. We used to do a lot of motorcycle riding with them when we were active in the Gold Wing Rode Riders Assoc. Just as they were leaving Dean and Betty come over and we played a couple of games of cards while waiting for the kids to get home. At 6:30 pm I started the grill to do hamburgers and brats. Just before I put them on the grill the kids came home. Shortly after getting things on the grill it started to rain and we got a real down pour. It lasted for about 15 or 20 minutes and we must have got close to an inch of rain and had a lot of water running through the campground. Then the sun was back out for a nice evening and a beautiful sunset. We tried to start a fire so Cece could do smores over the fire. No luck in getting the fire started, the wood was too wet. So we played some more cards and Cece watched TV. I have added pictures of the water running though the campground.

The first thing is to wish Grandma a happy birthday who is 89 years young. I hope you have a wonderful day and many more. This morning Coz, Nikki and Cece headed for the water park in Wisconsin Dells. They plan on spending the day there. Cheri put together a meal of chicken breast wrapped with bacon and made a sauce of barbeque and apples to put over it. It all went in the crock pot for the day. Then Cheri and I went for a motorcycle ride. We made a stop at the Harley Dealer in Wisconsin Dells. It is a satellite store from Mauston and only had clothes and minor accessories. We ended up riding 97 miles, it was hot and humid. We got home around 2:30 pm. We see Dean & Betty setting out so we went over for a visit and ended up play two games of SOB which I won. This is the first time I have won since we started playing SOB. The kids didn’t get home until 7:00 pm. So we had a late supper and watched a little TV before calling it a night.

We visited with Dean & Betty this morning while we were waiting for Coz, Nikki and Cece to arrive. They arrived around 10:30 am. It sure was good to see them. We couldn’t believe how much Cece had gown. After lunch we went up to the club house so Cece could do the cookie decorating. As it turned out we had two bigger kids with us as Nikki and Cheri each decorated a cookie. From there we went over to the miniature golf and played a game. Then it was on to the paddle boats in the lake. That was fun as we played tag with the boats. Then it was time to head back to the 5th wheel. Coz and I headed to the grocery store to pick up a few things for Cheri and also made a stop at the cell phone store as Coz was having trouble with the battery in his phone. When we got back Cheri fixed bake beans and baked potatoes while I grilled some steaks on the grill. After supper Cece put together some puzzles and we played a couple of games of SOB. Before we knew it was 10:00 pm and time to call it a night. What a great time it is when you can spend it with your family. Hey! I just relized it is the first day of summer. The bad thing is that the days will start getting shorter.

After our morning walk we got ready for our company. John and Judy Jamesson, friends from our Gold Wing Road Rider (GWRRA) days from Holman Wisconsin came for the day. We had a nice visit with lots of laughs. Cheri made potato salad for lunch and I grilled some brat patties. John and Judy left around 5:00 pm. Cheri and I headed out to Wal-Mart to get groceries for next week as Coz, Nikki and Cece will be here tomorrow for a few days. We haven’t seen them since last spring. We are excited to see them. This evening Nikki called us and wished me a happy Fathers Day. Darren also called to wish me a happy Fathers Day.

Today we decided to go for a motorcycle ride. We headed out south of Wisconsin Dells, When we got out in the country side it was so windy that it wasn’t an enjoyable ride. So we worked our way back to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. I had to have my glasses repaired. The screw in the bows came out and had to be replaced. They also replaced the one on the other side as it wouldn’t tighten up anymore. The glasses were new on May 4, 2010. The old glasses were four years old and never had any trouble with them. I had even ordered the same frames that I already had. We were back home by 12:00 pm. Cheri fixed us soap for lunch. I sat down in the easy chair after lunch to watch a movie. I must have watched about five minutes before I fell asleep. I woke up to see the last 10 minutes of it. Rick & Janis and Dean & Betty stopped over for a visit. We left at 5:30 pm and headed to the Wisconsin Dells motor speedway to see the Saturday night stock car races. It has been at least ten years since we have been there. It was a fun night and brought back a lot of old memories. Here are a couple of pictures from our ride today.

We spent a very relaxing day. We did our morning walk then after breakfast I did some work on the computer and Cheri did some laundry. We walked over to Dean & Betty’s to wish Betty a happy birthday. This noon we rode with Henry and Marietta, followed Dean & Betty to Cracker Barrel for lunch to celebrate Betty’s birthday. After lunch we headed back to the campground to play dominos. We played two games and the ladies won both games. Then it was time for supper. Betty wanted to go to Embers for Friday night fish fry. Being it was her birthday the four of us headed to Embers. This is the first time we have been there and the fish was very good. It is Betty’s favorite place for fish. When we got back to the campground Dean and Betty came over to our place to play a couple of games of SOB. Cheri won both games. We topped of the evening with some coffee and ice cream. Plus all the bad storms went south of us. We see on the TV that there were several tornados. We are so happy that we didn’t get any of it.

It was a beautiful day with the temp in the upper 70’s. It was a perfect day for a motorcycle ride so we did one. We put on a little over a 100 miles riding around the back roads in this area. We stopped in Mauston for a sandwich at Subway. We couldn’t find any quilt shops for Cheri so she settled for shopping in K-Mart. We got home around 3:30 pm. The cable TV is still working only half the time so I made another trip to the office to let them know. I run into the cable guy on the way back to the 5th wheel. He wasn’t very friendly when I asked him about the cable. He said it was working now. So when I got back I checked and sure enough it is now working (wonder how long it will last). After supper we went over to Dean & Betty’s. We sat outside and visited with them and Henry & Marietta who also came over to visit. We stayed until dark and then headed back to the 5th wheel. I put the awing in to get ready for the storm that the TV told us was coming. It wasn’t going to be here until midnight and we also had a tornado watch with 60 or 70 mile per hour winds. I got the weather radio out and set it by the bed. Shortly after we went to bed the weather alarm went off to let us know about the bad weather coming. About an hour later it started lots of thunder and lighting. It rained hard for awhile and we didn’t get the high winds. Yep the cable went out again just before we went to bed.

I have uploaded pictures of the day, see album: Day Trip June 17 2010

It is nice to be in one place for a while. Christmas Mountain is a nice campground. The only bad thing for us is we can’t get our Direct TV, too many trees. We do have cable TV, so all is good (although it’s been off and on this evening) and it’s nice to have all the shade. This is a large campground so we have a nice place to do our walks. I got the motorcycle unloaded this morning and did some cleaning on it as it is pretty dirty from the trip from Florida and the riding we have done. The sun came out today and was in the mid 70’s with a lot of fluffy clouds. We visited with Dean & Betty and Henry & Marietta until noon then went back to the 5th wheel for lunch. We took a motorcycle ride to Reedsburg to a quilt shop. So we both were happy, I got to ride the bike and Cheri got to go to a quilt shop. Our ride was only about 40 miles but nice. When we got back to the 5th wheel we played three games of SOB which Cheri won all three games.

It rained most of the night and when we got up it had quit for a while. We had time to take our morning walk around the race track. We weren’t in any hurry to get the 5th wheel closed up and on the road as we only had about 70 miles to go to get to Christmas Mountain near Wisconsin Dells. As it turned out we should have gotten on the road a little earlier as it started to rain when we pulled into the campground. The site we were assigned wasn’t very level and I had to do a lot of leveling. The long story short is I got soaked getting the 5th wheel leveled and hooked up. Dean and Betty are also here in the campground and went to see them after we got set up. We visited for a while and made plans for them to come over to our place this evening to play SOB. It was a fun night, first time we have played SOB with them. We each won a game so made for a good night.

Today was Flag Day I hope everyone proudly displayed their American flag. Actually we should do it every day. Cheri and I called some friends (John and Judy) in Holmen Wisconsin last night to see if they would be home today. We didn’t get anyone so left a message for them. This morning we didn’t have any plans so we took our time and did a long walk around the race track here at the fairgrounds. After coffee and breakfast we took a ride up to Westby to see what they had for stores to check out. We found a couple of neat stores and then we had lunch at Ole and Lena’s Kaffe Hus. We both had a corn beef sandwich which was super. Then we each had a dish of ice cream. Cheri picked up a brochure there that had directions to three Amish stores near Cashton. So we headed in that direction to the shops. After we did that we headed on down the road and stopped at some Amish farms to see what they had to offer. One was a bakery, another was a quilt shop. Then on the way back we stopped at an Amish cheese factory and got some fresh cheese curd. Then as we headed back to Viroqua we stopped at an antique shop where we saw some very nice things. When we got in the truck to leave we got a call from John and Judy. They just got home from a 10 day trip to Alaska. So we turned the truck around and headed for Holmen. We arrived at their place at 4:30 pm. We visited for a while and then went out for supper and then back to their place for more visiting. It has been over three years since we have seen them so we had a lot of catching up to do. Finally it was time to head back to the 5th wheel so we spent another night here in Viroqua.

It was a lazy morning. It was almost 7:00 am before I rolled out of bed and Cheri was right behind me. We relaxed this morning while having our coffee and watching the morning news. I did take a short lazy walk looking over things here in the fair grounds. We were planning on moving today to La Crosse but changed our minds as we didn’t hear anything from the people we were planning on going to see there. So we will be spending at least one more night here. We were invited over to Roger and Jean’s for a cook out, an excellent meal. After dinner we played Five Crown, SOB, and 10,000 Dice Game, plus a lot of visiting and laughs. Around 7:30 pm we headed back to the 5th wheel. Cheri did some reading and I watched the NASCAR Race that I recorded earlier.

Roger and Jean picked us up at 9:00 am and took us downtown to the Farmers Market. They have a really nice market for a small town. There were also a lot of produce, furniture, baskets, and quilts from the Amish community near town. Then we visited (shopped) a few more stores, then headed back to Roger and Jean’s where we sat out on their patio to visit and have a little wine. Then it was time for lunch. After lunch Cheri wanted to go back downtown to the quilt store that we shopped at yesterday. I forgot to mention that we were there in yesterday’s blog (how could I forget that). Cheri wanted me to take a picture of a wall hanging that she wants to make. Then it was back to Roger and Jean’s for a game of dominos which we guys won. Wow that makes three in a row that we guys have won. I better write that down somewhere because that doesn’t happen very often. At 4:30 pm we headed for La Crosse to take the dinner cruise on the La Crosse Queen up the Mississippi River. While waiting to board the La Crosse Queen we visited the Riverside International Friendship Gardens. They had flowers and plants from all around the world, very nice. Then it was time to board the La Crosse Queen and start our trip up the river and a wonderful dinner of prime rib and baked chicken. It was an excellent meal and the scenery was beautiful. The cruise took us up the river through the #7 lock and dam which was quite the experience. Then back down river through the locks again. Then we traveled on down the river through the old railroad bridge which has a large section on a turn table which turns to let the large boats through. We got a chance to see five eagles on the trip, what a treat that was. It was 8:30 pm before we got back to the dock. What a wonderful time we had. It was near 10:00 pm when we got back to Viroqua and decided to call it a night. We had a great day, thanks to Roger and Jean.

Last night sunset
Will it was raining when we got up this morning. It did quit long enough for us to get the 5th wheel closed up before we left for Viroqua which is only 30 miles. We had breakfast with Burl & Dorothy before we left. It was nice to spend some time with them. We were on the road by 10:30 am and arrived in Viroqua around 11:30 am. It rained most of the way and quit just has we pulled into town. It was nice that we didn’t have to set up in the rain. We are staying at the fair grounds and only have electric for $15.00 a night. Roger came while we were setting up the 5th wheel. Roger took us down town to get some sandwiches for lunch and then back to his place to play a game of dominos which Cheri won (nothing new about that). Roger took us for a ride around town and made a stop at the old theater where he volunteers a lot of time for the shows that they have during the year. He also showed us where he use to work before he retired and also where Jean works. We made it a point to be here on the weekend so we could spend some time with Jean also. She always has been working when we were here before. We went out to eat supper at the Firehouse supper club. It was very good. Then it was back to Roger & Jeans for two more games of dominos which we guys won (surprise). Roger and Jean took us back to the 5th wheel and we had to show the 5th wheel to Jean as she never got to Florida to see it.

We did our morning walk and got back before the sprinkles came. It was one of those days where the weather couldn’t make up its mind if it was going to rain or not. We walked over to the out let store to do some shopping. This has been one of my favorite stores in Boscobel because they have a lot of tools. Well either the store is going to be closing or they have cut back because they didn’t have much of anything. Boy was I disappointed. We went up to the cemetery to put flowers on Grandpa’s grave. Then we rode back by Grandpa and Grandma old house. It looks very nice; they have put in new windows, siding and garage door. We went back to the 5th wheel and did some planning on where we are going to be for the next two weeks. Still not 100% sure as I am waiting for a call from an old friend that I worked for 10 years ago. We are trying to get together for a visit. The rest of the day was spent reading and watching TV.

Today was going to be a relaxing day. I didn’t get up until 7:00 am. Made coffee and worked on the computer until Cheri got up. We took our morning walk along the Sanders Creek Trail. We always look forward to our walk here in Boscobel. It was a beautiful morning with a temp of 57 degrees with lots of sun. By the time we got done with breakfast, showered and dressed it was 10:00 am. We headed out see Burl and Dorothy (uncle and aunt). We visited for a while and then went down town for lunch and then back to their place to sit outside and watch the birds and visit. Later in the afternoon we made a trip up to the cemetery to see Grandpa’s grave. Then we made stops at two different craft stores that Cheri always has to visit when we are in Boscobel. Then we went to find flowers to put on Grandpa’s grave. It was after 5:00 pm when we got back to the 5th wheel. I had a bad headache and took it easy for the rest of the day & evening.

It rained all night and was still raining when we got up. Thought we were going to have to close up the 5th wheel in the rain, but it stopped just before it was time to close up. After we got done we took Todd and went out for breakfast. We visited for a while and then it was time to say good bye and hit the road. We made a stop in Dodgeville at Wal-Mart so I could exchange the used wiper blade I bought Sunday. They didn’t give me any trouble; the gale said you wouldn’t believe the things people try to pull. Cheri bought some groceries and then we were on our way to Boscobel where we will spend three nights. After we got set up it was time to head off to Richland Center to see Ken & Eileen and Dean & Betty. After visiting for awhile we went out for supper and then back to Ken & Eileen’s to play a game of Dominos which the ladies won. We guys were only able to domino three times in the game. After some of Ken’s birthday cake and ice cream it was time to head back to the 5th wheel. We were both tired so we went right to bed.

I was up at 5:30 this morning, not sure why so early but I got my blog done early and Blogger was down and wasn’t able to do the upload until this evening. We had the truck packed up and ready to leave at 8:30 am. Kari left for work around 8:00 am. We decided to eat breakfast out so made the trip into town to IHOP. After breakfast we went over to Camp Bow Wow to say good bye to Kari. We were on the road by 10:30 am headed for Barneveld where we left the 5th wheel. Todd called us just has we were pulling into the drive way of his office wondering where we were. After we got out of the truck he came riding around the shop on his Road King. It was the first time he has had it out of the garage in two years. So around 5:00 pm we headed out for a motorcycle ride of 72 miles. Todd said his bike didn’t have any power. Well when you are burning gas that is over two years old it’s a wonder it even runs. We got back to the shop around 7:00 pm. Todd said good bye and headed for home. We watched some TV and called it a night. It was another great day in the neighborhood.

We didn’t have to hurry to get around this morning. I looked on the internet for a church to go to and found one in Round Lake and the service doesn’t start until 10:30 am. Cheri and Kari fixed pancakes for breakfast with peanut and syrup. Kari had to help a friend deliver a car down south of here so we headed out for church. When we arrived at church the time on the sign said summer hours 9:30 am. So we missed church, I will have to e-mail them to have their web page updated. So we headed to the Wal-Mart and found an empty lot. We figured they must have built a new one somewhere. We saw a grocery store nearby and went there to get a few things for supper. While we were in the checkout lane I asked the lady in front of us about the Wal-Mart store. She said they built a new one up the road from the old one. So we headed up that way and did some shopping at Wal-Mart. I need some new windshield wipers for the truck. Kari got back home about ten minutes after us. We decided to take Skyy out to the park by the river where they have some hiking trails. We did the two mile trail. Just as we got back to the car and it started to rain, good timing for us. When we got back to Kari’s I settled in to watch the NASCAR Race. Cheri read and Kari had some articles to write for work. Kari fixed a shrimp and crab meat bread bowl and baroque meat balls for supper. We watched a movie on TV and then called it a night.

A few pictures from out hike.

Well it was another shopping day with Kari and Cheri. At 10:00 am we headed over to Woodstock for the farmers market. It is a neat old town with a city park in the middle of town and a cobble stone street around the square. They had the farmers market set up around the square. There were a lot of neat stores around the square which Cheri and Kari had to visit. I was the pack horse for the things that Kari bought. We also stopped at few antique stores. I got to the point where I just waited in the car and read my book. We got back to Kari’s around 4:00 pm. We plan on going to the outdoor drive in movie this evening so got things pack in the car for that. At 5:00 pm we headed out to have pizza for supper. After supper Kari and Cheri had some more shopping they wanted to do. So we headed for the furniture store. Kari ended up buying a table, big mirror and dresser. From there we headed back for the movie and it started to rain so we decided to go back to Kari’s and watch a movie on TV. It was a fun day of shopping for Kari and Cheri and it was an interesting day for me.

Skyy and Linie

I was up early so I could go into work with Kari this morning. Kari had a few jobs for me at Camp Bow Wow. After I was done with that I headed back to Kari’s place to pick up Cheri so we could go shopping at Home Depot and Menard’s to find hardware (special nuts and bolts) for the bed in her spare room. The hardware got lost in her move. We stopped at Jimmy Johns for lunch. It is a sandwich place like Subway. It was the first time we have been to one and it was pretty good. On the way back to Kari’s we made a stop at Auto Zone to pick up a tire plugging kit. Kari got a flat tire last week and so I thought I would plug it for her. The hole from a sharp stone was near the side wall. I did plug it but not sure if it will work. I took it and aired it up but the compressor I used at the gas station would only go to 30 pounds. So now I need to find a place that I can get it pumped up to 45 pounds. Kari called us around 5:00 pm and wanted us to come to the camp so we could go shopping for a new mattress for her spare bed. We stopped at Verlo Mattress and found the one Kari wanted and they said they didn’t have one in stock but could make one for us. Kari said she wanted it for tonight. They said that was no problem because it would only take about an hour and half to make one. We all laughed because we thought it would take a few days to get one. They said come back at 7:00 pm and it would be ready. So when we came back at 7:00 pm it was ready, hard to believe they can build one that quick. We headed back to Kari’s and had burgers on the grill for supper.

Kari had some business to take care of this forenoon. So we just hung out at Kari’s place. Kari left her dog (Skyy) with us. So we had a good reason why we had to do our morning walk. We made a few trips around the neighborhood. Cheri and had our leftover sandwiches from last night supper for lunch. I spent most of the morning on the computer and Cheri watched some TV and read. When Kari got home she wanted to go and do some shopping for some bedroom furniture. So we spent the afternoon shopping. Kari wasn’t able to find anything she liked so it was an afternoon of looking. It was around 5:30 pm when we got back to Kari’s. We did some steaks on the grill that had been planned for last night. After supper we went to Home Depot to check out some wood flooring and then to Menard’s to look at some patio furniture. We stopped on the way home to pick up a movie to watch. Cheri and I both fell asleep watching the movie so we head off to bed. I have included a picture of Kari and Skyy.

We had a visit and coffee with Todd before we left to go and spend a few days with Kari in McHenry Illinois . We left the 5th wheel by Todd’s shop. We arrived at Camp Bow Wow around 12:30 pm. The first thing we did was head out to get some lunch with Kari. After lunch we had a long visit with Kari. Then we headed back to the Camp as Kari had work to do. Cheri and I went for a ride to the Harley dealer. I bought another t-shirt to add to my collection. When we got back to the Camp we sat and read our books. At 5:30 pm we headed out with Kari to look at a house that she is interested in renting. Then it was back to town to pick up some steaks to grill for supper. We just got out of the grocery store when it started to rain, it poured and we had to wait a while before we could get out of the car. Because of the rain we decided to eat out as we couldn’t grill out in the rain. It was around 9:30 pm before we got back to Kari’s place. We watched a little TV and called it a night.

Wow! The first of June, don’t know where the month of May went so fast. Todd stopped by this morning for coffee and a visit. He had to tell us about his trip to Door County last weekend. On the way home his truck came unhooked from their motor home (one side of the toll bar). It did a little damage to the bumper cover. They had just pulled off the highway on an off ramp when it happened, they were very lucky as it could have been a disaster. Around 1:00 pm we took Todd uptown to the restaurant for lunch. We took it easy this afternoon (didn’t do anything this forenoon either). We got caught up on our paper work and did some reading. Todd stopped by for a short visit before he headed home. It was a nice lazy day.
