Gay Aug-1-10

Happy birthday to my lovely wife and many more. We didn’t get going as soon as we were planning on, just too tired from the moving yesterday. We arrived at Kari’s at 9:30 am. Kari had a lot of things done when we got there. Cheri and Kari worked on washing and putting way dishes and other things in the kitchen. They also told Ian and me how and where set the furniture (try it here, let’s try it over here). It was an interesting day and we got a lot of things done. It’s beginning to look like home. This evening Kari took us to the Wilmot Stage Stop in Wilmot, WI for dinner to celebrate Cheri’s birthday. It has been in operation since 1848 and formerly the Wilmot Hotel. With this in mind the family, now in its seventh generation, has made every effort to show the respect due to the old structure. They are known for their baked potatoes with heaps of butter. We each had a Filet Mignon and a Lobster Tail with all the fixings. While we were eating we spotted Doug and Brenda Zemple sitting at the bar. We haven’t seen her for several years. I went to grade school with her mother and we are having lunch with her Wednesday. So we took a break from our dinner for a quick visit. After our dinner we went up stairs to visit the museum and gift shop. We have a few pictures. See album: Wilmot Stage Stop.
