Today was a vacation day for us, I guess when you are retired you would think every day is a vacation day, not so. Some days you think about doing something constructive but not today. We got the motorcycle ready to go and along with Larry and Denise we rode south to Ellenton and then north up I-275 and made a stop at the rest area before we cross over the Sunshine Bridge, we took a few pictures there and then headed for the Gulf Coast. We rode up along the coast and stopped on the north side of Treasure Island for some shopping and a late lunch at The Hut for fish and chips. This is the third time we have had fish and chips with Larry and Denise, the other two times the fish and chips were not good and we had made a joke that we couldn’t have fish and chips with each other because it was bad. Well today the fish and chips were much better. We took a few pictures along the water and then decided to ride farther north to Pier 60 to check out all the vendors and watch the sunset. It was after 8:00 pm before we got back on the road and headed for home. We got home around 9:30 pm and had put on 185 miles. What a beautiful day it was for a ride.
