When I got up this morning
I really didn’t feel like doing anything today. We didn’t have to be anywhere
today and maybe that had something to do with it. After some extra time spent
with coffee, breakfast, new paper, and news on TV I decided I had better get to
work. Cheri had already done one load of laundry and had the second one going.
I finished assembling the rollout drawers. Once the putty dries they will be
ready to sand. So I was done early today. Cheri was working in her sewing room
and got one of her Halloween projects done. I noticed that the bird feeder need
to be filled and I was out of bird seed. So later Cheri and I made a trip to
Big Lots. It seems like it is the best place to get bird seed for a good price.
When we got done at Big Lots I asked Cheri if there was any other place she
wanted to go and she said no so we headed back home. Throughout out the day we
had four different rain storms come through but none of them lasted very long.
After supper we settled in for an evening of TV.

Because of our early
morning yesterday I was slow about getting up this morning, finally rolled out
at 6:35 am. It was another day of Cheri working in her sewing room and me
outside working on the rollout drawers. I did get four of them assembled before
I ran out of screws. I quit work early as we were invited up to Mike and Pam’s
for supper, bible study, and games. Cheri and I needed to reread the chapters
in the book that we are using for the bible study. On the way to Mike and Pam’s
we stopped by Lowe’s so I could get some more screws for the cabinet drawers.
Pam fixed a wonderful supper for us. We also had a great time studying God’s
word. We are so blessed to have Mike and Pam take time to help us grow in our
faith. After bible study we play a game of cards that Mike won. Then we played
a couple games of aggravation. Pam and Cheri won both games. It is a great day
when you can spend time with good friends and learn God’s word.

Our day started at 3:30
am. We had to get ready to leave at 4:30 am to take Jan to the airport in
Tampa. She is going to Wyoming to spend ten days with her son and his family.
It has been several years since she was last there. When we got back to
Zephyrhills we stop for breakfast at the Sunrise restaurant. It was around 7:30
am when we got back home. We read the morning newspaper and then it was time to
get some work done. Cheri spent the day in her sewing room and I went outside
and started building some more rollout drawers. By 3:00 pm I had seven more cut
out and ready to assembly. I decided I had enough for the day and was ready for
a hot shower and to get cleaned up. Later I made a trip to Lowe’s to get the
blackjack roof coating to repair Jan’s roof. Cheri fixed a London broil for
supper from a new recipe she found. It was ok but didn’t have the flavor that
we thought it should have. This evening we settled in to watch Dancing with the
Stars and Cheri was right about who got voted off. Another great day God made
for us.

I wasn’t in any hurry this
morning as I wasn’t going to get any work done because I had to take Grandma
for her B-12 shot at 10:45 am. So I spent the time doing my Bible study until
it was time to leave to pick up Grandma. It didn’t take long and was back home
by 11:45 am. I found Cheri in the sewing room busy working on three Halloween
projects. After lunch Cheri headed back to the sewing room and I went out and
got the lumber I am going to use to build more rollout drawers. Then I headed
up Jan’s as she has a leak in the roof over the sun room. About the time I got
the roof checked it started to rain. I will have to go to Lowe’s to get some blackjack
to fill a seam in the roof. When I got home we only had about an hour before we
were to meet Dick and Linda at Hungry Howie’s to have their pizza buffet for
supper. After we got done eating we sat there for another hour visiting. This
was only the third time we have been together and was interesting getting know
them better. When we got home we settled in to watch Dancing with the Stars. We
also watch the debate. I think it is the first one we have ever watched and don’t
think I need to waste my time watching another one.

Church was very
interesting this morning as the service was about honoring the missionaries that
help spread God’s word. They go through many hardships to deliver God’s word.
We had a young couple in church this morning that has dedicated their lives to
do God’s work. They gave their testimony this morning and are in the process of
selling very thing the own and moving to Turkey for missionary work. Charlie and
Jan were back from vacation and Charlie was ready to lead us in our Sunday
school lesson. Sunday school went twenty minutes past noon but when you are
learning God’s word time goes by quickly. On the way home we stopped to check
on Grandma and seem to be doing OK. We also stopped to pick up a few groceries.
The rest of the afternoon was spent watching TV. I watched the NASCAR race
while Cheri spent time on her I-pad. This evening we watched some movies we had
recorded.

Cheri got up the same time
as I did this morning. She had to be ready to leave at 8:15 am to go out for
breakfast with church friends. Jan arrived here at 8:00 am and Linda pick them
up at 8:15 am. I left on a motorcycle ride at 8:30 am. Mike was going to go
with me but e-mailed me this morning that he was having pain in his shoulder
and arm so it was just me. I scouted out some new roads for group rides and
ended up on some dead end roads. After 102 miles and three hours later I was
back home. Cheri and I both got home about the same time. I got to visit with
Jan for a bit before she left. Cheri said that she was still full from
breakfast so I fixed myself a sandwich for lunch and then we settled in to
watch the Wisconsin Badger football game. It was a good game and of course I
would say that because they won. After supper we settled in for an evening on
TV watching new fall shows we had recorded. Baby Wyatt is three month old today. We called Darren today and he said that he is now laughing out loud and said that he would send us a video of him laughing.

My day was a very
interesting one that I could see where God play a big part in it. I told Cheri
this morning that I wanted to go to Harbor Freight to see about buying a new
engine for the power washer. I had received a flyer from Harbor Freight the
last time I was there and saw that the engine would be on sale. Well I had thrown
way the flyer and didn’t know what day the sale was. I got a text last night
about a sale they were having this weekend starting today. I dropped Cheri off
at Beall’s and went on to Harbor Freight. Well the sale on the engine doesn’t
start for another two weeks. So I thought I would check out the engine that is
on display to make sure it would fit for a replacement on the power washer. It
was identical to the one I have and won’t be a problem. After checking it
closer I could see that when I was replacing the gaskets on mine that I had
them on in the wrong order. So with that in mine I headed back to Beall’s to
pick up Cheri and head home. After lunch I went out and changed the gaskets
around on my power washer engine. Well it started right up and runs like it did
when it was new. I have been fighting this problem for over a year and a half.
And it turned out to be a stupid mistake on my part. Well I was so excited that
it was working properly that I went ahead and power washed all of the drive way
and carport concrete. So you can see how God led me through the day. Of course
he leads us through each day, we just have to listen to what he is telling us. Cheri
spent the day in her sewing room working on Halloween projects.

It was another lazy day
for me. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to do anything, just tired and not feeling
the need to get anything done. I did go out to the shop and tried working on
the pressure washer again and still not able to get to run right. With the
money I have spent on parts I could have bought a new engine for it. I think
that is something I am going to pursue tomorrow. I was done by noon and back in
the house to rest for the afternoon along with taking a nap. Cheri did laundry
and then worked in the sewing room on a new Halloween project. Cheri joined me
in the recliner early this afternoon. We watched several movies we had recorded
and some of the new fall shows that have started.

I was pretty slow getting
myself going today. I didn’t have any really pressing projects today so I played
lazy. Cheri was busy with house work and spending time in her sewing room
working on a new project. I think she has two different project going at the
same time. I printed off some pictures of baby Wyatt for Cheri. Before I got
done I realized I printed the wrong size and had to do them over again. Later I
went out to the shop and finished repairing Jan Hughes table. The this evening
we met Mike and Pam at Walgreens and then rode together to Wesley Chapel where
we met Ron and Sandy for supper at Bonefish. It has been a long time since the
six of us have been together for a meal and visiting, was a good time catching
up. I on the way home we saw the most beautiful rainbow, the prettiest one I have
seen in a long time. I check the rain gauge when I got home and had received just
under half an inch. Cheri and both had a hard time staying awake to watch TV
this evening and finally called it a night and went to bed.

There wasn’t any time to
sit around enjoying coffee this morning. We were on the road by 8:45 am as
Cheri had an eye appointment in Brooksville at 10:00 am. Her appointment went
well and the swelling in her eye as stayed down and doesn’t have to go back for
three months. On the way home we stopped in Brooksville at the quilt shop so
Cheri could do some shopping. Our next stop was the Florida Cracker Kitchen for
lunch which is our favorite place for a hamburger. The burgers are so big that
we share one and both come away full. From Brooksville we took the back roads
to Dade City and stopped at the quilt shop there plus a couple of other stores.
It was around 1:30 pm when we arrived home. Cheri had to put all of her quilts
away from showing them last night and I went out to work on a table that Jan Hughes
asked me to fix as it needed the legs rebuilt on it. I did as much as I could
on it today and now have to wait for the glue to dry before I can finish it. This
evening we went over to visit Mike and Kathy as they just got back from their summer
up north. It was good to see them and had a nice visit. When we got home it was
time to watch Dancing with the Stars that we had recorded. Cheri had picked two
couples that she thought should be voted off and was right with her choice.

Gay Sept-19-16

It was another early
morning for me, not that I needed to be up early just couldn’t go back to
sleep. Cheri and I had dental appointments at 10:00 am so that took care of our
morning. We also made a stop at Lowe’s to buy another LED light bulb for the
kitchen. That makes four out of the seven lights that I have had to change in a
year’s time. So much for paying more for LED bulbs that are supposed to last
for many years. I have replaced the bad ones with a different manufacture to
see if they are going to last longer. This afternoon I worked on getting
building material out of the sun room. It has been cluttered bit and pieces of
lumber, flooring, and trim from the remodeling projects. Cheri has been good
about putting up with the mess for over a year. I am sure she is happy to have
things back where they belong. We had friends over this evening to see our
house and the quilts Cheri has made. We had a good visit and a lot of laughs.
After they left it was time to settle in and watch Dancing with the Stars. It
was another good day God made for us.

It was good getting back
to church and Sunday school after missing last Sunday. As always Pastor Randy
had an excellent message. Charlie and Jan were on vacation so we had a substitute
teacher for Sunday school. On the way home we stopped by Grandma’s to see how
she was doing. Her internet modem was down again so I worked on getting it
reset so she could once again get on line and do her e-mails. She also had a
list of groceries she needed so we headed over to Wal-Mart to get them. After
all was said and done it was after 2:30 pm when we got home. Cheri and I
settled in and watched a movie that we had recorded. After that it was time for
me to watch the NASCAR race. After the race we watch another movie then it was
time for the Green Bay Packers football game. Cheri finally gave up and went to
bed around 10:30 pm. I didn’t get to bed until around midnight. I should have
went when Cheri did as the Packers played a bad game and lost.

I am always the first one
up in the morning which means I am the one that makes the coffee which is
something I have done for years. Anyway I was sitting here this morning with my
coffee while Cheri was getting ready to meet the day. I asked her if she wanted
to go out for breakfast and she said that it would be ok but she had to be back
home by 10:15 as Pam was picking her up to go shopping. Long story short Cheri
called Pam and Mike to see if they wanted to meet us for breakfast at the
Sunrise Restaurant. So the four of us had a really good breakfast and then Pam
and Cheri left from the restaurant to go shopping and Mike and I each headed
for home. I went over to the neighbors to do some weeding and remove another seed
pod from the palm trees. This is the last time I will have to do it as Mike and
Kathy will be coming back Monday for the winter. With that done I was able to
go back to work on the kitchen drawers. I got the sanding done and the first
coat of paint on. While that was drying I went in to start watching the
Wisconsin Badger football game. At half time I check the drawers and they were
ready for another coat of paint. Then it was back to watching the football
game. Pam dropped Cheri off around 1:30 pm and she sat down and watched the
game with me. All of a sudden I could hear rain on the roof and made a beeline outside
to get the drawer under cover out of the rain. It turned out that the paint was
dry and no damage was done from the rain. I went back in to watch the rest of
the game and then went back out and added the hardware to the drawers and got
them installed. Another project done.

Cheri was busy right away
this morning doing laundry and her Friday house cleaning. My day wasn’t very
productive. I did work on puttying the roll out drawers. I thought I would get
them sanded today but it was going to take most of the day for the putty to
dry. I don’t think I am going to build anymore drawers out of plywood as it
takes a lot of extra work to get them ready for paint. I was back in the house
by 11:30 am. After lunch we did some Bible study and then made a trip to
Lakeland. We had a few thing to take back from the bathroom remodel and I
needed to make a stop at Harbor Freight to get some sand paper to do the
sanding on the cabinet drawers. I dropped Cheri off at Jo-Ann Fabrics while I
shopped at Harbor Freight. I thought I would do some sanding when I got home
but it was near 4:00 pm and was too lazy to get started. So I was done for the
day. After supper we settled in for an evening of TV, sure will be glad to have
the new season start as it is so hard to find anything worth watching.

I checked the rain gauge
and we received just over ¾ inch last night. Cheri worked on her Thursday house
work, laundry, and ironing. I worked on getting the drawer slides installed. I made
the drawers 1/8 inch too wide and had to do some cutting and sanding on the
door face frame to get them to fit properly. I got two of them done before it
was time to quit and get cleaned up. Cheri and I met Ron and Sandy at Golden
Corral at 1:30 pm for a late lunch and early supper. We were seated in a room
where we were the only ones for a while and was able to have a nice visit while
eating. It was near 3:00 pm when we got home. Cheri relaxed and I went back to
work on the drawer slides. I finally got done around 4:00 pm and was ready for
a shower. We watched a couple movies we had recorded weren’t very good but
really nothing else on that was worth watching.

I checked the rain gauge
and we received just under a ½ inch last night. After Cheri got her Wednesday
house work done she headed to the sewing room to start on a new project. She
said it was going to be paper piecing and was going to do a practice piece. I
headed out side and started building three more roll out drawers. Things went
well and got the drawers built and was done at 3:00 pm. After I got showered and cleaned up I made a
trip to Lowe’s to get two more sets of roll out hardware. Hopefully tomorrow I
can get the holes puttied, sanded, and painted. Cheri started the crockpot with
a new recipe of chicken and dumplings to have for supper, she also baked some
buttermilk biscuits to go with the chicken and dumplings. The chicken and
dumplings were good but I think her original recipe is better. Another rain
storm came through this evening with a lot of lighting and thunder. All in all
it was another wonderful day God made for us.

I managed to stay in bed
until a little passed 6:00 am, it has been a long time since I got up after
6:00 am. I was lazy most of the day as I wasn’t in any hurry to get anything
done today and Cheri said she felt the same way. I finally did get around to
install the kitchen cabinet rollouts. It took longer than I thought it would. Cheri
is happy with them and has them full of pots and pans. Cheri did her Tuesday
house work and relaxed the rest of the day. This afternoon we headed out to
Tractor Supply to get some more mouse and rat poison to put around under the
house. We still have a critter roaming around in the walls, hoping the
additional poison will take care of the problem. We also stopped at Wal-Mart to
get a few groceries. Later this afternoon Cheri and I both had a nap which we
both needed as we are still tired from the weekend. Cheri fixed us Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches
for supper which were really good. Around 8:30 pm we had a rain storm come through
which we needed as it has been a few day since we last had any rain.

Everyone was up before
6:00 am as Darren and Brooke are leaving this morning. After having some coffee
and a bagel for breakfast it was time for us to say our good byes to baby Wyatt
as Darren and Brooke wanted to be on the road by 7:00 am. It was wonderful
having the kids here and already miss them. Cheri went right to work on washing
up the bedding from the guest room along with the towels from the guest
bathroom. I headed outside to paint the new drawers I made for the kitchen. It
took three coats of paint to get the coverage I wanted. So it was around 1:00
pm before I got done and decided to play lazy the rest of the day with Cheri. We
spent the rest of the day in Bible study and watching TV. The new season of
Dancing with the Stars started this evening so I guess you know What Cheri and
I were watching tonight. I had a lot of trouble staying awake the last half
hour but did make it to the end.

It seemed strange to hear
a baby crying in our house but a joyous sound. I guess I can say that because we
will only have it for today and tomorrow morning. Darren and I went to pick up
Grandma and bring her over for dinner and to spend time with Wyatt. She was
excited to see him. We took a lot of pictures while she was her and even got a
four generation picture. Cheri was busy all morning fixing breakfast and then
fixing lasagna for dinner. Being it was the first day of NFL football we had to
watch the Green Bay packer play. They did pull out a win but it wasn’t pretty
but a win is a win. Ron and Sandy stopped by to see Wyatt and visit for a bit.
Supper was our usual Sunday night pizza. Around 7:00 pm Darren and I took
Grandma home. She said that she was going to watch the Ray’s baseball game. The
rest of the evening was watching some TV.

Cheri put in a bad night
as she was thinking about everything she wanted to get done before Darren and
Brooke arrived. The first thing this morning we went to get some groceries and
when we got home Cheri headed to the sewing room to finish the baby blanket.
Around 10:00 am she came out and said that it was done. I went outside and did
some shop clean up from the mess I made getting things out to fix the light on
the golf cart yesterday. Darren, Brooke, and baby Wyatt arrived at 12:00 pm. After
make a big fuss over Wyatt and showing the kids the house Cheri fixed Philly steak
sandwiches and bean dip for lunch. After lunch we settled in to visit and watch
college football. Later in the afternoon Mike and Pam came over to meet Darren
and Brooke plus Pam needed to hold Wyatt. I guess you could say he was passed
around to just about everyone. Grandma Cheri was the one that had him the most.
Cheri fixed bacon wrapped chicken breast along with cheese broccoli and salad
for supper. After supper is was more visiting and looking at baby pictures of
Darren and comparing them with Wyatt and they look almost alike. After a dish
of ice cream and some TV we called it a night early as everyone was tired.

Cheri and I are both
excited as Darren, Brooke, and baby Wyatt will be here tomorrow. More time to
spend spoiling Wyatt. Cheri has been busy
getting things ready for them. She spent most of the day in the sewing room
working on the baby blanket. She still has to put the binding on it and it will
be done. I am not sure she is going to get it done before the kids get here. I
worked on the cabinet drawers today I have the two I have been working all put
together and ready to paint. I was going to paint them today and found that I
needed more paint. So I made a trip to Lowe’s for more paint and also stopped
at the Re-Store to drop off a few things. When I got home I could see that the
lawn mowing crew were in the park so that met no painting will get done because
of all the dust from the mowing. I spent the rest of the afternoon working on
putting a LED license plate light on a golf cart. A guy came to me yesterday
and wanted me to hook up the light. He said that he had it at the golf cart
shop and they couldn’t figure out how to hook it up. So I told him to bring it
over and I would get it working for him. It did take a while to figure out
which wires to hook to but things went smoothly and had it done by 4:00 pm.
Cheri fixed us a hash brown omelet for supper which was very good. Cheri also
made a big bowl of bean dip which Darren really likes. So it was another good
day that God made for us.

I took Cheri for her 9:00
am appointment and did some Bible study while waiting for her. Then I dropped
her off at Wal-Mart and I went to get my hair cut. Then it was back to Wal-Mart
to pick up Cheri. We were able to get all of this done and was back home by
10:30 am. Cheri had started laundry before we left and continued with that
along with her Thursday house work. Then it was back to the sewing room to work
on the baby blanket. I went outside and started making the kitchen pull out
drawers. I did measure twice and cut once but still cut two boards too short.
So now I could use a board stretcher. I had to make a trip to Lowe’s to replace
the board that I cut too short (a costly mistake). I did get the drawer sides
and backs made and partly assembled. I still have to cut out the bottoms for
the drawers. It was 4:00 pm when I got done. I wanted to get cleaned up but decided
to grill up a couple of New York steaks we bought today or I would be smelling
like the grill. The steaks were very tender and juicy and went along with baked
potatoes.

Well I still could hear
our unwanted house guest in the wall last night, apparently he hasn’t found the
bait that I left for him. Cheri worked on Wednesday house work before heading
to the sewing room to work on the baby blanket. The first thing I did today was
work on the outdoor temp transmitters as for some time we haven’t been
receiving the outdoor temp. I needed to change batteries and clean up the
contact which were corroded. I cleaned out the car and took it though the car
wash. Then went to Lowe’s to get some of the materials I need to start building
pullout for the kitchen cabinets. I also did some more cleaning in the shop
along with fixing the saw guard on the shop saw that Jan gave me. I made a
couple of 90 degree jigs to use when assembling the pullout drawers. I quit
around 4:00 pm and got cleaned up. Cheri also quit working in the sewing room. We
both rested for a bit before Cheri started fixing supper. It was an evening of
watching some movies we had recorded. It was another day without rain which
makes two in a row. Tomorrow the humid weather is to return which means more
rain.

We have an unwanted guest
in our home and it is living in the walls. We can hear him or her during the
night. It has been going on for a few weeks now. I have put out food which has
disappeared but he is still around. So today I removed several wall electrical
boxes and drop poison pellets down inside the walls. So now it is a wait and
see if we get any results. Cheri had a hair appointment this morning and told
me that she was going to driver herself. It has been over 15 months since she
last drove. I did worry about her and around the time I thought that she should
be getting home and I got a call from her that she has to drive by Beall’s
outlet and said not to worry about her because she was stopping to shop. I also
got the seed pods cut out of the neighbors palm trees and spent some time
cleaning up in the shop and still have another day worth of clean up to do.
When Cheri got home we had a late lunch and then she headed to the sewing room
to work on the baby blanket. Tonight was Men’s Night Out at church. It a good
meal of pulled pork and motivational guest speaker. I got home around 8:30 pm
and Cheri was still in the sewing room. We watched a little TV and called it a
night.

What does Labor Day mean
to you? To me it means a day to celebrate all the hard work that our
forefathers and the present day workers have done to make our country great.
But has you can see our country is going downhill fast as we have more people
looking and getting free handouts and not willing to work for what they get. It
is time to put our country back to work to make it great again. I decide today
to do a couple of good deeds for some special friends which took me most of the
day. It was around 2:00 pm when I got done and home. I was going to cut seed
pods from the neighbors palm tree but it started raining on the way home so it
will have to wait until tomorrow. By the time I got cleaned up it was pushing
3:00 pm. Cheri spent all day in her sewing room working on the baby blanket.
After I got cleaned up I headed for the recliner to do some Bible study and a
nap. Cheri also joined me and said that she was done for the day but a short
time later she was back in the sewing room. Here are some pictures of Cheri's fall decorations.

Grandma wasn’t feeling up
to going to church or Sunday school today. So it was just Cheri and me. Church
and Sunday school were both very good. It took a while for us to leave after
Sunday school as we were visiting with Sunday school friends. On the way home
we stopped by to check on Grandma and drop off a piece of foam that Cheri cut
for her to sit on to take the pressure off her tail bone which she is having a
problem with. It was around 1:30 pm when we got home. We called Larry and
Denise to see how Larry was doing and to let them know that their house was ok
after the storm. We spent the afternoon relaxing, reading, napping, and
watching TV. We had a rain storm come through this evening and received another
½ inch of rain.

Gay Sept-3-16

Cheri spent time getting
out her fall decorations which look really nice. She spent the rest of her day
in her sewing room along with ironing clothes. I did several honey do jobs and
even a couple that wasn’t on Cheri’s list, now we will see if she can figure
out which ones they were. I worked outside planting the new mums we got
yesterday. I just got done before it started to rain. I checked the gauge and received
another ½ inch. Today college football started so of course I settled in to
watch the Wisconsin Badgers play LSU. It was a game that the Badgers were
underdogs and not much hope of them wining but somebody forgot to tell the
Badgers because they pulled off a big upset. We spent the evening with Mike and
Pam in Bible study on the Holy Spirit. After a great study time we played a
couple games of SOB which Cheri won.

We were up really early
because of the storm. We were in an area with very little damage and we didn’t
have any at our place. I did see that some of the fence on the outside of the
park was down along with a tree by Winn Dixie. We received just over two more
inches of rain today. This morning we went over to check on Grandma and she was
ok and no damage there. After checking with Grandma we headed out for a day of
shopping and to eat at Long Horn steak house to celebrate Cheri birthday which
was a month ago. She wanted to go to Long Horn for her birthday and things
never worked out to go so today was her day. It was near 5:00 pm when we
finally got home. I bought some new mums to replace the old ones in front of
the house. We weren’t home very long when Norm one of my motorcycle riding
friends from Canada stop by. He is here for a couple of days to get the house
opened up for his wife before he heads back to work in BC. We just had a snack
this evening as we were still full from lunch.

Another month gone and not
sure where it went so fast. Cheri was busy doing the Thursday laundry while I
cut down the shoe rack to fit in the new closet. Just before 10:00 am we headed
up to Jan’s. She is having trouble with the exhaust fan in the bathroom only
working part of the time. So I removed it cleaned it up and oiled the bearings.
I had a hard time getting it reinstalled as the sleeve it fit in wasn’t secured
and made it hard to get it lined up to install. When we got ready to leave Jan
said that Mel told her that any power tools that she didn’t want were to be
given to me. I was really overwhelmed to think that Mel would have wanted me to
have his power tools. Jan gave me the table saw, shop saw, jig saw, sander, and
gas powered weed whip. On the way home we stopped at Winn Dixie for a few
groceries. After lunch I checked out the tools and did some cleaning in the
shop. Cheri continued with cleaning and laundry. I thought we were going to get
a lot of rain today but none until around 4:00 pm which lasted for about an
hour. I checked the rain gauge around 9:00 pm and see we received just over ½ inch.
I guess we will be getting more during the night and tomorrow.

It started raining around 2:00 am and continued with a
light rain all day. I checked the rain gauge and we received just over two
inches and will be getting much more the next two days according to the weather
report. I worked on the making a couple of shelves for the closet and got the
door hung. When I went to install the door lock set I found the lock set was
missing a part so I took and it back to Lowe’s and got a replacement. Cheri had
to paint the shelves along with some other touch up painting. Long story short
the closet is done and we already have some things in it. I will post some
pictures tomorrow. Cheri also worked in her sewing room on the baby blanket.
Cheri got the crock pot started with a new recipe for a beef roast to have for
supper. I thought it was pretty good but Cheri didn’t like the flavor. So I
guess I will have a lot leftovers to eat. Thank you God for another wonderful
day.
