No morning walk again this
morning. I am still feeling low on the energy level. Cheri is also still very
tired. I did removed the 32 in TV from our bedroom and installed the 42 in that
Darren and Brooke gave us. It turned out to be a bigger job than I thought it
was going to be. I could never have done it without Cheri’s help. It probably
wasn’t the best thing to be doing today has my back was hurting. The plan for
TV I took down is putting it on the wall in the spare bedroom. But I need to
wait for cooler weather as I need to run the TV cable and install an electric
outlet up on the wall. This afternoon I had to take Grandma for her doctor’s
appointment. I also had to stop at the bank for her. On the way home I stopped
and checked Larry and Denise’s house and everything was good there. It was near
3:00 pm when I arrived home and no energy to do anything else. I joined Cheri
in the recliner and watched some TV. I did doze some and Cheri had a good nap.
I wasn’t feeling all the good today so we had soup for supper. I was going to
have some ice cream later and when I went to get some I found we had eaten all
of it before we went to Darren and Brooke’s. So I settled for a beef stick
which was probably better for me anyway.

I wanted to be at the
barber shop at 9:00 am so I was in the shower before Cheri which hardly ever
happens. After I got back from getting my haircut I reattached the broken leg
on the jewelry box and got it put in the bedroom for Cheri. Then it was time
for us to head to Brooksville for Cheri’s eye appointment. It is better than
last time we were there but still not what is should be. She still has to do
drops every day and has to go back in 6 weeks. On the way to the doctor’s
office we got a call from Pam wanting to go out for dinner at Bone Fish and
stop at Dillard’s to shop. So we met Mike and Pam at Walgreens at 3:15 pm and
rode with them. Cheri and Pam shopped while Mike and I found a place to sit and
visit. Then we met Ron and Sandy at Bone Fish. We had a good meal and a good
visit. After we left there we went back to Dillard’s because Cheri found a
traveling suitcase she wanted. It was after 8:00 pm when we got home and
decided to just go to bed and watch TV there as we were both really tired. I
haven’t done my morning walk since we have gotten back, just no energy to get
it done.

I didn’t get up until 7:00
am and Cheri not until 9:00 am. We both are really tired and said that we
weren’t doing anything today. But Cheri went right to work doing laundry,
unpacking bags, and putting everything away along with fixing meals and grocery
shopping. A lot for a person that said she wasn’t doing anything today. I on
the other hand did very little. I did get the new GPS updated with the latest
maps for the trip to Mexico. I also glued the broken leg on the jewelry box
that Brooke gave Cheri. I planned on getting a haircut while Cheri was getting
the groceries but the guy that cuts my hair wasn’t in. Cheri had called to see
if he was going to be in and was told he was. So I was surprised that he wasn’t
here. Someone had looked that the schedule wrong and wasn’t even scheduled to
work. It was really hot today with a temp in the high 90’s and high humidity.
Later this afternoon Cheri and I tried to watch some TV but did more napping
than watching. We are looking forward to having more energy tomorrow.

I got up at 4:15 am just
as Cos, Nikki, and Cece were heading out the door to leave. They already had
the truck all loaded. After they left I went back to bed until 6:30 am. It was
a busy day for Darren and Brooke. Cheri was busy washing down cabinets and
rounding up all the bedding and many other things that needed to be done.
Darren and I broke done the bed and moved it to the garage along with the rest
of the bedroom set. Loaded up the 4 runner with some things that was left to go
to Chris and Sheryl’s. We also took down the TV and moved another dresser to
the garage. Brooke brought us breakfast sandwiches as there was nothing in the
house to eat. She also made another trip to Good Will. By 11:30 am there wasn’t
anything left for Cheri and me to do so I finished loading the car and were on
the road by 11:50 am. Things went well until we got south of Ocala and was in a
3 mile back from and accident. While moving slowly we see an accident in the
north bound lane. Five miles down the road there was another accident in the
north bound lane with a semi blocking all lanes and a long line of cars at a standstill.
We could see that it would be a couple more hours to clean that up and get the
traffic moving again. Thank God that we weren’t in anything like that. We
arrived home around 7:15 pm. We got the car unloaded and then we headed to the
recliners. I tried to watch the NASCAR race that I had recorded Sunday but by
9:30 pm we decided to call it a day.

It was a very busy day
here at Darren and Brooke’s. First Darren and Cos went and got us some
breakfast sandwiches as there wasn’t anything left to eat in the house. It was
time to pack up everything that was left in the house. We filled up Cos and
Nikki’s truck and made a trip to where Darren works to deposit a bunch of stuff
in the dumpster. Then it was on to the Good Will store to drop off a bunch of
things that they no longer needed. Then we loaded up Cos and Nikki’s truck
along with Darren’s 4 runner and Chris’s Tahoe with things that they are going
to keep and things that Darren and I will be taking to Mexico over to Chris and
Sheryl’s place to store until we leave for Mexico. When we got back we loaded
and strapped down the green egg grill in Cos and Nikki’s truck along with
getting everything else ready to load in the morning as they plan on leaving at
4:00 am to head for home in Wisconsin. We also got things ready for our car to
load up in the morning. By 5:00 pm we were mostly done and then went over to
Chris and Sheryl’s for dinner and to celebrate Wyatt’s birthday. It was fun
watching him open presents and with the birthday cake. Then it was time for
Grandma Cheri to say goodbye to Wyatt as this is the last time she will be him
because Brooke and Wyatt will be staying at Chris and Sheryl’s where his crib
is now. It was a little after 8:00 pm when we got back to Darren and Brooke’s.
We visited for a while before showers and then called it a night.

50 years ago today Cheri
and I were married and started a life together. Through the 50 years there has
been some struggles and good times. But we learned has each day passed. We raised
three wonderful children that we are proud of. We pray for many more good years
together. Today is also Wyatt’s first birthday which we plan on celebrating tomorrow
as Darren and Brooke won’t be home until late this evening. This morning Cos
and I went to the bakery to get some fresh made cinnamon rolls and breakfast
sandwiches. The last time we were here Darren and I went to get them they were
already out of the cinnamon rolls so today Cos and I were there before they
opened so we were sure to get some. They were so fresh that we had to wait for
them to put the glaze on them. After breakfast the guy came to pick up the
table and chairs, no place to play cards today. Wyatt kept all of us busy. I
took him for two walks with the buggy and several time outside to explore. We
spent a lot of time together today. This afternoon a lady came and checked out the
treadmill and bought it which we thought that was the last thing they had to
sell but Brooke has decided to sell her wedding dress. Later Cos and I went to
the grocery store to buy some steaks to have on the grill for dinner. We got a
text from Darren and Brooke letting us know that they would be home at 4:30 pm.
Cos fired up the green egg grill at 4:15 pm to grill the steaks. We were
supposed to have rain all day but around 1:30 pm it started to clear up for a
very nice afternoon which Wyatt was happy for so he could spend more time
outside.

Hey we had a day without
rain well until around 8:00 pm and then it really came down and lost power
around 11:00 pm for a while. It was nice to see some sun and dry things out
some. Cos, Cece and I were able to take the dogs to the park for a long walk. Surveyors
came today to survey the lot. I guess the new people wanted to know where the
lot lines are. We played a lot of cards today and watched TV. I spent a lot of
time carrying Wyatt around as I would take him out on the patio and then
outside when the surveyors were here. He really like going outside looking
around. Cheri made turkey and dumplings for dinner. After dinner I took Wyatt
in the stroller for a walk around the neighborhood. After my walking him around
today he would cry when I tried to give him to Nikki or Cheri because he would
want to go back outside. Made Grandpa proud that he wanted me. Darren and
Brooke checked in with us a few time today to see if everything was going ok.
Darren told us that he may have sold the treadmill as someone is coming
tomorrow to check it out.

First I would like to wish
my mother (Grandma) a happy 96th birthday. Darren and Brooke left at
6:30 am to go to wedding down in Florida which is on Friday and will come back
Sat night. So that leaves Nikki and Cheri to take care of Wyatt. Cheri put a
turkey breast in the crockpot to have for dinner along with mashed potatoes,
stuffing, and a broccoli salad. For breakfast Nikki and Cheri made egg and ham biscuits.
We had a light rain all day which made for a miserable day. Nikki made chocolate
cookies this forenoon which are the best right after they come out of the oven
plus we all had to have some of the raw cookie dough. We skipped lunch as our
breakfast was late and didn’t need anything before dinner except a cookie or
two (more like three or four). So the day was spent playing cards and watching
TV plus playing with Wyatt. He is just starting to walk and does about four or
five steps before he goes back to crawling.

Darren, Brooke, and Wyatt
left early this morning to go downtown Atlanta to get their visas which they
have to have to live in Mexico. Things went well for them and told them to
return at 1:30 pm and they would be ready. The only thing I did today was take
a walk around the neighborhood. We play cards and watched TV. I did take a nap this
afternoon, not sure why but was really tired. More good news for Darren and
Brooke as they sold their car this evening. A couple of guys drove two hours
from South Carolina to see it. They had all the arrangement made before they
came so thing went well. Because of the car selling dinner was late and had
leftovers from last night. I think everything was better because everything got
a chance to season more. We played one more game of SOB before calling it a
night. The only thing that is left to sell is Darren’s treadmill.

Brooke was off to work at
6:30 am. I feel bad for her because the rest of us get lay around and have fun
while she is working. After breakfast I went out for a short walk around the neighborhood.
When I got back Darren and Cos decided to take the dogs to the park for a mile
and half walk. I decided to go along and take Wyatt. I pushed him in his stroller
and thought that he would sleep but he stayed awake for the whole walk and then
fell asleep on the way home. While we were gone Cheri and Nikki made a trip to
the grocery store. This afternoon Nikki made a cherry pie, she makes the best
cherry pie. Darren had some computer work to do for one of his clients so we
played a couple games of SOB which Cheri and I won. Not much going on this
afternoon until it was getting close to dinner time. Cos was going to grill the
meat for the fajitas but it was raining and had to do the cooking inside. Nikki
made guacamole to go along with the bean dip she made yesterday. So we had a
really good Mexican supper. After watching some TV we had some cherry pie and
ice cream. Another good day spent with family.

Brooke left for work at
6:40 am. Darren had the day off. After breakfast Cos and Darren took Cos and
Nikki’s truck to the car wash. Nikki, Cheri, Wyatt and I went grocery shopping.
After lunch Darren, Cos, and I went to the hardware store that sells the Green
Egg grills. Darren has one and is giving it to Cos and needed to see if it
could be laid on its side to haul back to Wisconsin. We were told that it would
break if Cos tried to do that. So they gave us a pallet to mount it on before
putting it in the truck. Then we went to get a cargo net and some tie down
straps for it. Later Darren was busy sorting through his clothes with Cheri’s
help to pack up the ones he is going to take to Mexico. After that we played a
game of SOB which Cece won. Brooke came home just as we were finishing the
game. It was time for Darren to get the Green Egg fired up and show Cos how to
do it. We are having steak, chicken, hamburger, and hot dogs on the Green Egg
grill, all leftover meat from the freezer. When the grill was ready it started
to rain. Darren had to get an umbrella for Cos to hold while cooking. After
Supper we all settled in to watch the movie Tarzan. Later a young couple came
and looked at the dining room table and decided to buy it. So all that is left
for Darren and Brooke to sell is Brooke’s car and Darren’s treadmill.

Happy Father’s day. It was
a good day for me as I got to spend time with some of my family. The only one
missing was our daughter Kari and she called me. Cos, Nikki, and Cece gave me a
basket of different kinds of cheese and beef sticks (good Wisconsin cheese and
beef sticks). We guys and dogs went out for a walk this morning me pushing Wyatt
in the stroller and Daren and Cos walking the dogs. Cheri and Nikki fixed us a
breakfast of potatoes and eggs. After breakfast it was time to get to work
loading up Cos’s truck with things that needed to go to Good Will and to Brooke’s
parent’s (Chris and Sheryl) house. After we were done with that it was time for
all of us to go over to Chris and Sheryl’s for a pool party and cookout. I am
not much of a pool person but did sit outside for a while and did take a nap.
After the cookout I went in and watched the NASCAR race. It wasn’t a very
exciting race until the last 30 laps. It was after 7:00 pm when we got back to
Darren and Brooke’s. We order in pizza for supper. Thank you God for a day to
spend with family and friends.

It was a busy day here in
Roswell. Cheri made pancakes for breakfast. Darren had some work he had to do
on the computer. Brooke had some errands to do so Cheri took care of Wyatt.
Darren also needed to get a haircut and some other errands to get done. I went
to Best Buy to get the right adapter cable for the new radio in the 4 runner. I
also made a stop at Wal-Mart to get a new antenna and connectors for the radio.
It was near noon when I got back to the house. Darren and Brooke came shortly after
I did. Darren had been to the grocery store for groceries and sub sandwiches
for our lunch. After lunch I worked on installing the new radio and antenna.
Brooke and Darren were busy hauling things to Good Well and to the recycle
center. It was after 6:00 pm when we all had our projects done for the day. Besides
taking care of Wyatt Cheri also made lasagna with garlic bread for dinner.
Nikki, Cos, and Cece didn’t arrive until after 8:00 pm so dinner was late. It
was good that we can all be together for a week.

We were up before 5:00 am
getting ready to get on the road to Roswell. GA. We were on the road by 6:00
am. I didn’t have a full tank of gas when we left so our first stop was just in
GA to get gas and then we did stop at our usual stop for an early lunch which
was at 11:00 am at McDonalds. We arrived at Darren and Brooke’s at 1:30 pm. The
traffic was wasn’t too bad until we got into Atlanta and then had stop and go
traffic from an accident other than that things went well. Darren came home
around 3:00 pm. Later Darren and I went to Best Buy as he wants to get a new
radio for the 4 runner. On the way back to the house we picked up chicken from
Chick-fil-a to have for dinner. Grandma Cheri was busy playing with Wyatt plus
taking more pictures. He will walk if you let him hold on to your finger but
not by himself. Darren had bought LED lights for the 4 runner which turn out to
be a big job getting them installed. Then we worked on putting in a new radio.
After much work getting the old one out and then installing new brackets for
the new radio. When came time to do the wiring we didn’t have the right wiring
harness which said was for a 4 runner. Darren check and did find the one we
need a another Best Buy that was further away but was too late as the store
would be closed by the time we would have gotten there. So we called it a day.

To celebrate my special
day I went out for a 75 mile motorcycle ride. I probably wouldn’t have done it
but it was a cool 71 degree morning and overcast which made a good time to go.
I haven’t been on the bike since first part of April and had been thinking
about selling it but after riding for a bit I decided to keep it a while
longer. Cheri went shopping this morning and got back around 12:30 pm. After
lunch it was time to get our bags packed and things laid out that we are taking
to see Darren, Brooke, and baby Wyatt. Coz, Nikki, and Cece will be coming in
to Darren’s on Sat. This evening we had dinner at BJ over in Wesley Chapel with
Mike and Pam to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress heard us talking about my
birthday and when we got through eating she brought out a brownie with ice
cream and a candle on top. How nice was that. We also got more rain late this
afternoon and evening. I check the gauge and received only ¼ inch.

Once again I got my walk
in earlier than usual. After breakfast and Bible study I planned on cleaning up
my shop, putting away everything I had out to fix the 4 runner. But after I got
cleaned up it wasn’t something that I wanted to do. Cheri wanted to go shopping
so I decided to take her where she wanted to go. We went to three different
Beall’s Outlet stores and Cheri never did find exactly what she was looking for
but did find something that would work. I found a kitty mat that goes in front
of the litter box so the cats don’t spread the kitty litter when they get out
of the box. Jan Hughes was asking me the other day what she could use as she
just got a couple of kitties. I saw this in Beall’s Outlet and thought we
should buy it for her. After we got done shopping we went to Harry’s Seafood
Bar & Grill for a late lunch which turned out to be our main meal for the
day. The meal was really good. When we came out the sky was getting really
black and decided to head for home. But decided to swing by Jan’s to drop off
the kitty mat. It was after 3:00 pm when we got home. It was recliner time
along with a nap before settling in for an evening of TV. Oh yes we did have
some ice cream later. We got a little over ½ inch of rain today which came late
this afternoon.

Cheri told me that I
should lock to door when I leave for my walk so nobody can get in while I am
gone. So I did lock the door this morning and when I got back I couldn’t get
because I didn’t think to take a key with me. So I had to ring the doorbell to
have Cheri let me in. Cheri asked me what I was going to do today and I told
her I was going to be a plumber. She said will I see a butt crack when you bend
over? Now we know what Cheri thinks about plumbers. I need to change the pipe
that come out of the wall for the shower as it has a pin hole in it. Which
means that I have to cut a hole in the wall which is inside a wall cabinet.
Cheri left at 9:00 am to get a haircut and to do some shopping. I went to work
on the shower project. I got the old shower stem removed and fond that is
something special for modular homes. So when Cheri got home I headed out to get
the part I needed for the shower. It was 1:30 pm when I got that project done.
After lunch Cheri worked in her sewing room and I worked on doing some layout
with the pictures Cheri plans on using for the picture quilt. It took a while
to get the sizing Cheri wants and she has to make some adjustments to the
pattern she is using. By 3:00 pm we were both done for the day, time for the
recliner. Thank you God for being with us today.

I finished my walk this morning
with a few rain drops. I was really tired this morning and not feeling like
doing anything today. Cheri was busy in her sewing room making a mattress cover
for a piece of foam rubber that will fit in Wyatt’s pack and play as they will
be selling his crib. They will have to buy a new one when they get to Mexico. I
took Grandma for her 10:20 am eye appointment. It was near noon when I got home.
It was 90 degrees with very high humidity this afternoon. Not a good time to be
out working but I needed to get the rain gutters cleaned out and the brackets
repaired. I was pooped when I got that done and ready for another shower. The rest
of the afternoon was spent in the recliner reading, napping, and watching TV.
Cheri did come out of the sewing room showing me a block pattern she made to
use in the making her next quilt project. It is going to be a picture quit and
needed to get the sizing right for the pictures. My sweetie can do anything she
puts her mind too. Around 6:30 pm a hard rain came through which didn’t last
long and received another ¼ inch.

I was up before 5:00 am
and out for my morning walk at 6:00 am. It seems like I have been waking up earlier
every day. Grandma went to church with us this morning. Pastor Randy had a very
good message on “Who is God”. Our Sunday school lesson was on the Last Supper.
After we dropped Grandma off at home we went to Wal-Mart and got her groceries
and medicine. It was around 1:30 pm when we finally got home. It was an
afternoon of TV, reading, and napping. I did watch the NASCR race which in the
end turned out to be a pretty exciting race. Cheri fixed us pizza for supper
which is something we have almost every Sunday night.

I didn’t get my walk in
this morning. We had to be on the road at 8:30 am to the airport to pick up
Darren. He was flying in to pick up the 4 runner and take it home. He had only
seen pictures of it and not sure if he was happy with it or not. I do know that
it runs good and just looks bad as the paint is really bad. It was 12:30 pm
when we got back from the airport. I went and picked up Grandma and brought her
over here so she could see Darren. Cheri fixed us some Hoagie sandwiches along
with potato salad and chips. Darren left at 1:50 pm heading back to Roswell GA.
I took Grandma home. The rest of our day was spent napping, reading, and
watching TV. I had a really hard time reading my Sunday school lesson as I
would keep falling asleep. This evening we called Larry and Denise and found
that they are doing well. We also called Mike and Mary Leblanc and they are
also doing well. We felt it was time to make some calls to friends that we hadn’t
talked to for some time. Just before 9:00 pm I got a text from Darren and said
that he was home and the 4 runner was a good driver.

I was up a little after
4:30 am which is half an hour earlier then I usually get up on Fridays. I left
at 6:10 am for my Accountability Group breakfast and Bible study in Dade City.
When I got home Cheri was busy getting her Friday house work and laundry done
before heading to her sewing room. I went out to wash the windows on the inside
of the 4 runner and while doing that I went to open the driver side door and it
wouldn’t open. So I started to take the door apart when I got a call from Ron
and said that he was ready for me to bring all the lumber to his burn pile. That
took a while as I could only put a little at a time on the fire. Ron and I had
a good visit while watching the fire. On the way home I stopped at the Sprint
store as I had some question about my new phone and the screen protector wasn’t
sealing to the screen. So they put on a new one. Two of the people worked on
getting my phone registered with Samsung which I had tried to do and gave up
and figured that they sold it to me and could do it quickly but they also had
problems getting it done. Then I stopped at Auto Zone one more time for the
rear wiper blade that I check on yesterday as I had figured out how it was
supposed to go on. Then I took the 4 runner through the car wash. When I got
home it was around 1:30 pm. Cheri had made an apple pie so I had a piece of pie
before going back to work on the 4 runner door. It turned out to be a locking
tab had come apart which had been worked on before and wasn’t connected correctly.
It was 4:00 pm when I finished with the rear wiper blade. I was ready for
another shower as I was all sweaty. I had time to rest for half an hour before
we were to meet Mike, Pam, Ron, and Sandy for dinner at Piccola Italia restaurant
at 5:00 pm. It is the first time Cheri and I have been there. I thought the
meal we had was pretty good but a little pricy. After we eat we all went back
to our place for apple pie and ice cream and more visiting. It was a great way
to finish the day with good friends.

I didn’t think I was going
to get my walk in this morning but had quit raining just before it was time to
go. We did get rain off and on during the day and received another ½ inch. I
wanted to get the new tires on the car today so Cheri and I dropped it off at
Wal-Mart to install the tires I bought from Tire Rack. Then we took the 4
runner for another test drive by making a trip to Jo-Ann Fabrics in Lakeland.
Cheri is looking for some fabric for another quilt project. While she was in
Jo-Ann’s I went to Best Buy to get a case for my new cell phone. I that I could
get it there cheaper than the phone store but in the end it was about the same
price. Cheri got a few thing she needed for the quilt project but not the
fabric she wanted. So we headed to the quilt shop in Plant City where she found
what she wanted. When we got back to Zephyrhills the car was ready to be picked
up and also got a few groceries. When we got home we had a very late lunch.
Cheri spent the rest of the afternoon finishing her laundry and a book she is
reading. I headed for Auto Zone to get a wiper for the rear window of the 4
runner. I had bought a part on line that was supposed to work with the wiper
blade for a newer 4 runner but I could figure out how it was supposed to work
and the parts guy looked at it and couldn’t figure it out either. So I went
home without a wiper blade. I did some checking on the internet and found the
wiper blade that will work with the part that had ordered. I loaded the 4
runner with all the old lumber that I have been wanting to get rid of and will
be taking it out to Ron and Sandy’s tomorrow to put on their burn pile. Cheri
fixed us corn beef and cabbage for supper. It was another evening watching
shows that we had recorded. Thank you God for another good day.

I was up early this
morning not able to sleep in. I left for my morning walk at 6:20 am. It was
good that I did because we got more rain. We got a total of a little over 2 ½ inches.
In fact we got two inches of it in an hour, don’t remember ever seeing it rain
that hard before. I was working on the 4 runner while it was raining really
hard and one of the rain gutter brackets broke and the water really came
gushing down. My cell phone quit working this morning so Cheri and I headed for
the Sprint store to get a new one. There are two things in life that I don’t
like to do, buying a car and cell phones. I always feel like I am being taken advantage
of. Anyway I did get a new phone and have to pay more than I wanted. It was
noon when we got done with the cell phone and next door was Subway so we had a
sandwich for lunch. Then we made a stop at Auto Zone as I need another quart of
transmission fluid. When we got home Cheri headed to the sewing room and I
finished the 4 runner and took it for a drive checking everything that I had
done. We got a called this evening from Darren telling us the house is sold if
the inspection and appraisal go through and they want to close on the 28th of
this month. They had a lot of people come through and had gotten two offers within
a couple of days after it was listed.

When I headed out for my
morning walk it started to sprinkle and came back but then by the time I got
back it had quit so I started out again but did get a little damp before I
finished my walk. Cheri was busy doing her Tuesday house work and then spent
time in the sewing room going through patterns looking for her next project.
She also put a corn beef in the crock pot to have for supper. I had some minor
things to do to the 4 runner before it would be done and today was that day. I
needed to put new terminal clamps on the battery and a new bulb in the third
brake light and the 4 runner would be done. But of course I couldn’t stop
there. I decide to drain all the transmission fluid and remove the oil pan so I
could put in a new filter. Which met I had to make a trip to Auto Zone for the
filter, light bulb, and more transmission fluid. It turned out to be an all day
job and didn’t get done until alter 5:00 pm. I still have to finish the battery
connections and check the transmission fluid. I wasn’t able to start the truck
because the battery was disconnected and I was too tired to do any more today.
It was after 6:00 pm before I was ready for supper. The evening was spent
watching TV and we also made butter finger blizzards, much cheaper than going
to DQ.

It was an overcast day
with misty rain most of the day, don’t remember seeing any sun today. Cheri
spent most of her day in the sewing room not sure what she is working on now. I
continued working on the 4 runner. I got the heater hoses installed and the antifreeze
in. I changed the transmission fluid. I was going to change all the belts but
after checking them I could see that they had been change and looked good. I
did have to make a trip to Auto Zone to return the belts and get some
transmission fluid. By 2:00 pm I was done and wanted to take the 4 runner for a
drive and make sure everything was okay. I stopped by Tire Kingdom to see about
getting an appointment to have all the tires rebalanced and a front end alignment
and was told they could do it right away. So an hour later with that done I
decided to take it over to Wal-Mart to have the oil and filter changed. I can
get it done there cheaper than I can do it myself at home and don’t have to
worry about getting rid of the old oil. After that was done I took it for a
fifteen mile ride and everything seems to be good. I still have a few minor
things to do on it tomorrow. It was after 5:00 pm when I got home and Cheri was
busy fixing chili for supper.

I had e-mailed Pastor
Randy for his message notes and told me he was on vacation and that we were
going to have a guess speaker and would pass my e-mail onto him. The guess
pastor was Daniel Edgeman and he did e-mail his message outline so Grandma
would have something to follow. Charlie our Sunday school teacher always has
notes for Grandma so she is able to be part of the class. After Sunday school
we had our Linger Longer and we had invited Mike and Pam to come and meet some
more of our church friends. We had soup, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
After we dropped Grandma off we made a stop at the NAPA store to pick up the
heater hose for the 4 runner. I was going to work on it this afternoon but just
didn’t have the energy to do it. So I spent the rest of the afternoon in the
recliner watching the NASCAR race. Cheri spent the afternoon reading and
napping. This evening we had another rain storm go through, it only lasted
about half an hour and received another inch of rain.

I was up earlier this
morning so I could get my walk in so I was out a little after 6:00 am and didn’t
see anyone else walking. I think I will try to get out earlier because it is a
little cooler. Cheri and I met Mike and Pam at the Village Inn for breakfast at
8:00 am. We had a good visit and even got into some Bible study. After
breakfast we headed home. Cheri spent a lot of her day in the sewing room
cleaning and rearranging things. This afternoon she was making a dessert to
take to church tomorrow as it our Linger Longer Sunday after Sunday school. I
worked on the 4 runner again today. It was draining the cooling system and
changing all the hoses. When I went to install the new one of the heater hoes I
found that it wouldn’t fit so I made a trip to Auto Zone and was told that it
was supposed to be the right one. So I returned it and went to Advance Auto
Parts and they had the same thing that I had just returned. I ended up at NAPA
Auto Parts and they had to order the hoes and is supposed to be in tomorrow. I
did get the radiator hoses installed. Plus the windshield wipers and new air
filter. I had ordered the rear window wiper and found that it didn’t fit.
Looking on the internet it appears that I have to have an additional part to
make it fit, so I got that on order. It was 4:00 pm when I got done and didn’t
feel like I got much accomplished today. This evening it started to
rain around 9:00 pm and most of the night. I checked the rain gauge and we received
two inches. It is the first real rain we have had in months.

I didn’t get my walk in
this morning as I had to be in Dade City at 6:30 am for my Accountability Group
breakfast and study. It was around 8:30 am when I got home and time to get back
to work on the 4 runner. Cheri was busy with Friday’s laundry and house work. I
know she also spent time in the sewing room, not sure what she was working on.
I also keep her busy bringing me out ice water to keep me hydrated as it got up
to 94 degrees today. I worked on getting the new front struts and brakes
installed. Turned out to be an all day job. Cheri helped me bleed the brakes
and after driving it for a while they will have to be bleed again to work all
the air out of the brake lines. I did take it for a drive to return the spring compression
tool to Auto Zone. When I got home it was time to have a shower and get cleaned
up. When I was done Cheri had supper ready. After supper I was ready for the
recliner and some TV. Hey we got some rain today which lasted all of 30
seconds. It is really dry here and they got a lot of rain about 4 miles north
of us yesterday.

Hey! What happened to May,
can’t believe it is June already. As I get older it seems like the time is
going faster. Cheri was busy this morning doing laundry and her Thursday house
work. She did spend some time in her sewing room making patterns for a friend.
I worked on Darren’s 4 runner. I got the new rear brakes installed along with
new rear shocks. Plus the new spare tire back in the rack under the back of the
4 runner. It was an all day job and didn’t get done until 4:00 pm. It was 94
degrees today so it made working outside even more difficult. I was ready for a
good hot shower as I was really sweaty and dirty. After getting cleaned up I
made a trip to Auto Zone to get a spring compressor so I can work on installing
the front struts on the 4 runner. While I was out I check Larry and Denise’s
house and all was well there. Cheri fixed us a French bread loaf for supper,
something I like and was really good. It was an early night for me as I was
very tired and had trouble staying awake to watch any TV.

It was another busy day. I
took Grandma for her 9:30 am appointment and didn’t see the doctor until 10:40
am, always a long wait and we were the doctor’s first appointment. I also made
a stop at the bank for Grandma. After dropping Grandma off Cheri and I headed
to Plant City for a stop at Lumber Liquidators to check on flooring for our
Sunday school class room. We want to remove the carpet and replace it with some
vinyl planking. On the way we stopped for lunch at Denny’s, nothing special,
hard to find good food anymore. At Lumber Liquidators we got a sample and
pricing which I thought was good but we also went to Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Home
Décor. Lumber Liquidators had the best product and pricing. It was around 2:30
pm when we got back to Zephyrhills and time to take Darren’s spare tire over to
Wal-Mart to have a new tire mounted. Cheri had some groceries to pick up. As it
turned out it was going to take an hour and a half for the tire so I left it.
When we got back home I cleaned the bugs off the car and then took it through
the car wash. Then I stopped at Auto Zone to pick up the parts that was ordered
for Darren’s 4 runner and then back to Wal-Mart for the spare tire. When I got
home I found Cheri resting in her recliner said that she was tired from all the
running around. I ordered a couple of tires off the internet for our car from
Tire Rack and saved about $60.00. Cheri fixed us barbeque pork sandwiches for
supper and then later had some ice cream for dessert. It was a long day but
with God’s help everything went well.
