I was out the door at 6:10 am heading to Dade City for my accountability group breakfast and Bible study. I was back home at 8:00 am and then on the road at 8:15 am to work on a shower over in Tampa Bay Country. I had to remove the accent color tiles in the shower and install different color tiles. It was a really dirty job as I had to cut all the grouts from the old tiles before I could remove them. Not much to show for what I did but took seven hours to do it. I still have to go back tomorrow and do the grouting. It was 4:45 pm when I got home and was really dirty from all the dust I created from the cutting of the tiles. So it was shower time before supper. Cheri was busy today doing the Friday laundry and house work. She also spent time in her sewing room working on the bed quilt (yes Emmy she was really working in the sewing room today). It was a short evening as we were really tired and went to bed really. Thank you God for a wonderful and productive day.

Cheri was busy with laundry, ironing, and the rest of her Thursday’s house work. Jean also came over for a visit. I worked at Bob’s again today. He found a couple more recepicails he wanted me to change. The easy outs I bought at Harbor Freight didn’t work to remove the broken stem from the shower. So I headed to Lowe’s to see if they had a different type of easy out. They had one that I was told would work but I wasn’t sure about it but did buy it. I also had to get supply line to repair the refrigerator water line. It turned out that the easy out didn’t work. So I ended up using the dermal tool to cut into the pipe threads and then I was able to pry the broken piece out. I was home by 2:00 pm and removed everything from the truck so I could repack my tools and materials for tomorrow. Also made another trip to Lowe’s to see about a pre hung door for another project, wanted to see if I could cut the door down for a three inch thick wall. Also went to Harbor Freight to get some grout cutting blades for my saw which I need for tomorrow. It was near 5:00 pm when I got home. After supper I took a shower and got ready for Larry and Denise as they are going to be here at 6:30 pm to play cards. We had a fun evening, Larry and I were the winners.

I had a 9:00 am appointment to do electrical work for Bob Conover (the person I help do handy man work for) changing out electrical switches, light fixtures, and recepicails. He also had a shower head that he couldn’t get removed. I had to remove the shower head with the stem and then I was able to get the head off the stem. But when I put the stem back into the wall fitting it brock off in the wall fitting. It must have been weakened when trying to remove the shower head. Now the problem is getting the broken piece removed. On my way home I stopped at Harbor Freight to get a pipe easy out. Cheri had a haircut appointment this morning and then did some grocery shopping. When she got home she had visit with Jean who was outside when she got home. Also visited with Mike and Kathy who were out for a walk. This afternoon she did her Wednesday’s house work and then made a meatloaf for supper. This evening we attended the 6:15 pm church service for the Lord’s Supper. On the way home I stopped at Lowe’s to get a new shower stem and plumbing parts for tomorrow. We watched a little TV before calling it a night. Thank you God for being with us and guiding us today.

We were busy early this morning filling out paper work for Grandma. We just got it in the mail yesterday and has to be received back in the office by April first. So we got it filled out and stopped over to her place so she could sign it and get it in the mail.  Then we headed to Ocala to spend the day with Larry and Emmy Becker. They are friends we met in Baker Acers many years ago and have stayed in contact with each other. Although it has been three years since we have been together, crazy how fast the time slips away. We had a good visit with a lot of laughs and went out for lunch at Olive Garden. It has been a long time since we have been there and was very good. Then back to their place for more visiting and before we knew it was time to head for home. We arrived home around 6:00 pm. We spent the evening watching some shows we had recorded. Thank you God for safe travels and a good time with friends.

No work today. Cheri and I left at 9:00 am to make a stop at the Bank and then on to Parrish to visit with Cheri’s longtime girlfriend Pat and her husband Roger. After visiting for a while we went out for lunch at a local restaurant for lunch and then back to their place for more visiting. They have their place here in Florida up for sale and plan on going back to Maine where they have a home on a lake. Roger is having some medical issues and thinks they would be better off back in Maine where is doctors are. Of course we think they should sell their place in Maine and be permanent here in Florida. It is big decision for them to make. We got home around 6:00 pm and settled in to watch the NASCAR race that got snowed out yesterday. Thank you God for the day and safe travels.

It was 50 degrees this morning and near 80 degrees for a high, now this is my kind of weather. We took Grandma to church with us this morning. Pastor Randy’s message was very good and so was the Sunday school lesson. Cheri had fixed egg salad sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, grape salad, and cheese plate for the Sunday school class. We were back home by 1:00 pm. We headed for the recliners to relax and in a very short time I was asleep, not sure if Cheri napped or just read. I was going to watch the NASCAR race but it had been snowed out, first time I have ever heard of a race being snowed out. This afternoon at 3:30 pm we picked up Larry, Denise, and Larry’s sister to go to Golden Corral for dinner and to celebrate Denise’s birthday. We met Wayne and Allyn there. After dinner we all went back to Larry and Denise’s to play cards. Denise won the game of SOB. After Wayne, Allyn, and Annette left we played a game of Hand, Knee, and Foot that Denise and Cheri won. It was after 9:00 pm when we got back home.

The temp this morning was 42 which is better than yesterday but still cooler than I like. It turned to be a very nice day with the temp in the mid 70’s. Normally I don’t work on Saturdays but I needed to get the bathroom project done. I started at 8:00 am because I also had a 1:30 pm appointment to install a new ceiling fan over in Tampa Bay Country Club. I did get the bathroom done at 12:30 pm. Just enough time to get the ladder loaded and eat a sandwich on the way for the ceiling fan project. The fan project went quickly and was back home by 3:30 pm. I was tired and didn’t take time to unload the truck. Cheri fixed us leftovers for supper. After my shower we made a trip to Sam’s Club as Cheri wanted some rolls and chicken salad for Sunday school tomorrow. I also need salt for the water softener. A few bags of chips and trail mix somehow got into the cart. We were back home by 6:00 pm and ready to crash into the recliner for some TV and in my case it was a nap before going to bed. Thank you God for the day you made for us.

It was another cold morning of 38 degrees, it is really time to end the cold weather. It did warm up to be a very nice day. Cheri was busy this morning taking Grandma for her last radiation treatment, still has a follow up appointment April 6. Cheri also had her Friday house work and laundry to do. I left at 6:10 am for my accountability group Bible study and breakfast in Dade City. I was back home by 8:30 am, just in time to get ready for work at 9:00 am. I spent the day installing the shower surround. When I got the box open I could see that the store gave me the wrong surround as it was for a smaller shower base. So I made a trip to return it and get the right one, so lost another hour of work and then I was informed that the people I am working for had to leave again at 4:00 pm. So that means I have more to do tomorrow and already have another appointment at 1:30 pm. This evening we met Mike and Pam at Capri Pizza & More for supper before going to our Life Group Gathering at Ron and Sandy’s. It was a good night to spend with other Christin friends. Thank you God for good friends and a productive day.

It was in the mid 40’s this morning but turn out to be in the upper 60’s before the day was over. Cheri went to check on Grandma this morning to see how she is doing. She said that she was some better. Cheri also went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things that Grandma needed. Plus today was laundry day and Thursday house work. This afternoon she was busy getting some cheesy potatoes going in the crockpot and chicken fingers warped with bacon with some seasoning for supper. It was back to work on the bathroom again today. Things went really well today. I got all the drain piping done but did have to make a trip to Lowe’s for a couple of additional fittings. Got the hot water heater panel replaced along with all the panels under the house where I had done the plumbing. Got the shower base fasten in and a coat of plaster on the wall. I was done and home around 3:30 pm which gave me time to get the truck cleaned out for tomorrow as I have the old tub and materials to haul away. The chicken tenders and cheesy potatoes were really good. I took a hot shower that made me feel better and ready to watch a little TV. We are a mail drop for Darren and Brooke and got the last thing they needed to get their taxes done and will send that out to their accountant tomorrow.

It was in low 60’s today with a very stiff wind which made it jacket weather for some of us. Cheri told me this morning that she was going to spend the day in her sewing room.  She started to fix me a lunch to take to work but told her I would come home for lunch because I am working a couple blocks from the house. Things went well this morning and at noon I laid out the water fitting to move the water lines to the new faucet. Well the guy from Lowe’s gave one wrong line connector. It was time for lunch so I headed to the house for lunch and then a trip to Lowe’s for the right fitting along with the adhesive for the shower surround. I had to quit work at 4:00 pm as the owners where leaving at 4:15 pm. Things went well today but still didn’t get as much done as I wanted too, probably about a half day behind my schedule. As long as I got done early I took the truck though the car wash and then went and got a much needed haircut. Cheri said Jean came over for a visit this afternoon which limited her sewing time. After supper I headed to the shower to get cleaned up. We are still trying to get caught up on the TV shows we are watching and are still a week behind because I can’t stay awake. God blessed us with another great day.

Cheri was up early to fix me a breakfast of pancakes. Normally I have cereal but we were out of milk and forgot to get some yesterday. Cheri was supposed to take Grandma for her last radiation treatment but she was sick and not able to go. Cheri call the doctor’s office and was able to get the appointment changed to Friday. Cheri went over to check on Grandma and also to the grocery store. I started a new project here in our park removing a bath tub and installing a walk in shower. I run into a major problem after I got the tub out, the drain and water lines had been run under the tub. So I need to do a lot of extra work to get the lines moved so I can get the shower base in, which met I didn’t get as much done today as I planned. I started at 9:00 am and didn’t get home until 5:00 pm. After my shower we had a delicious supper of spare ribs that Cheri made in the crockpot. After supper I made a trip to Lowe’s to get some additional plumbing materials for tomorrow. The rest of the evening was watching shows we had recorded. Thank you God for guiding us through our project today. I was going to take a picture of the project I am working on but forgot but here is a picture of the how I found the plumbing.

Cheri was busy this morning putting away the St Paddies Day decorations and putting out the Easter decorations. I went and check out a roof repair job and then a toilet job. We left a little early for Cheri’s eye appointment in Brooksville so we could stop at the insurance office to cancel the motorcycle insurance, forgot about doing it before. We planned on stopping at the Florida Cracker restaurant but forgot that it is closed on Mondays. So we headed on up the road and stopped at Arbys for one of their new BBQ Brisket sandwiches and a mint flavored shake. It wasn’t to our liking as the sandwich BBQ souse was too strong and the shake was full of ice crystals and no flavor. Cheri’s eye appointment was good and is going to try to reduce the eye drops and has to go back in three months. On the way home we got a call from friends from Michigan and was at our house and wanted to know where we were. We told them that we would be home in half an hour. So we had a good visit with them as it has been over two years since we last seem them. After they left I went and repaired a toilet, had to put in new fill valve as the old one wouldn’t shut off. From there I stopped at a place where I will be putting on a gate wheel that I had bought and to see if it was ok with them. Also did some additional measuring on the bathroom door I will be changing. It was around 5:30 pm when I got home. Cheri fixed us all the leftovers from the meals we had with Sandy and Greg. It was warm this morning but foggy again and warmed to 81 degrees, more to my liking. Thank you God for a great day.

It was much warmer this morning with a temp of 54 degrees which is more to my liking, but was really foggy. Grandma went to church this morning. Church and Sunday school were both very good. After Sunday school our class had a fish fry. All the fish was caught and deep fried by one of our Sunday school friends. Every one brought a dish to pass. There were 63 of us from our class and other invited guest. On the way home we stopped at the grocery store to pick up some ice cream for Jan Hughes as she isn’t able to drive for several week while her back heals. Then we dropped Grandma off at home. It was near 2:00 pm when we got home. Cheri call Sandy and Greg and had them come over to visit and for supper. They left a little before 7:00 pm as they had to get things ready to leave in the morning, heading back to Maine. The rest of the evening for me was spent watching the NASCAR race, Cheri watch some while spending time with her phone.

We had to get around early this morning as it was the park wide yard sale today. It is supposed to start at 8:00 am but many people are already coming in at 7:30 am. So I picked up Sandy and Greg at 7:00 am so we could have them here to help with the sale. It took a while to get everything set out and priced. There were a lot of people that came through and we sold a lot of things and are very happy, not too many things to take to Good Will. By 1:00 pm we had what was left put away. It was time to sit down and relax for a while before going for an early supper. We went to Sunrise Eatery early so we wouldn’t have to wait but still had about a ten minute wait. After we eat we drop Sandy at their fifth wheel and then Cheri off at home as Greg and I went to Plant City for the car show. We got there around 5:30 pm and about half of the cars had already left, but still got to see some very nice cars. After all was said and done I was home around 7:30 pm. Cheri was busy getting baked beans ready to take to Sunday school tomorrow for our fish fry after Sunday school. We watched some TV before calling it a night. Thank you God for a successful day with the yard sale.

I think this morning is the last of the cold mornings as it was 34 degree this morning and warm to the mid 70’s for a great day. I left the house at 6:10 am to have breakfast and Bible study with my accountability group, got back home round 8:30 am. Cheri called Sandy and Greg to come over and they said that they were doing laundry and would be over after they got done. Cheri also was doing laundry this morning. We took Sandy and Greg to Ybor City museum which is actually a state park. Ybor City is a historic neighborhood just northeast of Tampa. It was founded in the 1880’s by Vicente Martinez-Ybor and other cigar manufactures and was populated by thousands of immigrants, mainly from Cuba, Spain, and Italy. For the next fifty years workers worked in Ybor City’s cigar factories and rolled hundreds of millions of cigars annually. After touring the museum we got to tour one of the houses. We were back home by 3:30 pm. I got a call from a resident here in the park telling me the lights in her kitchen would work and wanted me to check them out. So Greg and I went over. After checking the breakers and much searching I found an outside ground fault electrical out let that was tripped. After resetting it the kitchen lights were working. After supper we visited for a while before Sandy and Greg left.

Another cold morning of 34 degrees and was slow about warming up but turned out to be a nice day. Cheri took Grandma for her 11:15 am radiation treatment. While she was gone I worked on cleaning up a bunch of used 2X4’s that Larry and Denise brought over for me. Cheri got home at noon and we had a quick lunch before picking up Greg and Sandy. We made a trip to St. Pete to see the Chihuly Collection which is all made from glass and then to the Hot Shop to see some glass blowing, all very interesting. Cheri and I have been there a couple of times before and always enjoy it. On the way home we stopped at Bob Evans for supper. We dropped Sandy and Greg off at their place and headed home. It was an evening of TV shows we had recorded. Thank you God for a wonderful day.

It was 36 degrees this morning and took a while for it to warm up to the low 60’s. Cheri took Grandma for her radiation treatment at 11:15 am and then went to Wal-Mart for groceries. So lunch was a little later today. I had an 8:30 am VA appointment to have the TB test read and everything is good. On the way home I filled the car with gas. I was on the computer checking for tickets to Puerto Vallarta and found some that I purchased. We will be going to see Darren, Brooke, and Wyatt for Wyatt’s second birthday in June. I got the tables out and cleaned up for the yard sale on Saturday. After lunch Cheri called Sandy and Greg to have them come over. While Cheri and Sandy visited Greg and I took his truck through the car wash and then over to Lowe’s so I could buy a shower faucet set for the bathroom project I will be working on next week. When we got home we visited for a while before going to Golden Corral for supper. As usual I eat way more than I should have, seem like I do that every time I go. When we got home we watched a couple of shows before Sandy and Greg left. For some reason Cheri and I were really tired tonight and head for bed early.

It was 41 degrees this morning, thankfully there wasn’t any wind and did warm up to the high 60’s for a nice day. Sandy and Greg came over at 9:00 am and we went to the local flea market. It is the first time I have been there this year. It was fun looking around. We bought a half flat of strawberries for $5.00 and a watermelon. I bought a couple pairs of sunglasses and a bag of kettle corn which I eat right away. Greg also bought a bag of kettle corn. It was near lunch time when we got home so Cheri and Sandy fixed leftover roast beef on toast with gravy. Plus had some of the watermelon we bought. This afternoon Greg helped me get all of our valuables (junk) out for the yard sale that will be on Saturday. Cheri and Sandy fixed spaghetti and garlic bread for supper along with strawberry short cake for dessert. Sandy and Greg left around 7:00 pm. We settled in for an evening of TV. Thank you God for a good day with family.

Today started out to be a nasty rainy day. But by late afternoon it was pretty nice except for a stiff wind. Cheri took Grandma for her 11:15 am radiation treatment. I had an 11:00 am appointment at the VA here in Zephyrhills. I thought it was going to be an injection for the lump in my lung but turned out to be a TB test and have to go back on Wednesday to have it read. I hadn’t planned on doing any work this week because Sandy and Greg are here. But I got a call from a guy who said that the kitchen sink wouldn’t drain and he had just got out of the hospital. So after my appointment I went to see if I could fix the drain. When I got there both sinks were full of water and had to bail out the water before removing the drain trap. The trap was clear but from there into the wall it was plug tight and was hard like concrete. I had to run the pipe cleaner in and out many time before it was clear. After an hour of cleaning I got everything working again. It was around 1:30 pm when I got home for a late lunch. We called Greg and Sandy and had them come over. While Cheri and Sandy visited Greg and I went down town and bought the shower base and surround for the bathroom project I will be working on next week. At 4:00 pm we took Sandy and Greg to Sunrise Eatery for supper. Then back to our place for some homemade chocolate chip cookies Cheri made today. They left around 7:00 pm and we settled in to watch a little TV before calling it a night. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

It is crazy when you think about getting up an hour earlier but still got up at the same time. That might change here in Florida as they are thinking about staying on daylight time and no more standard time. Grandma didn’t feel like going to church today as her knee is giving her a lot of pain. After church and Sunday school we picked up Greg and Sandy and headed to Plant City for strawberry shortcake. I forgot that the Strawberry Festival was still on and got into some heavy traffic. After some very good strawberry shortcake we headed home a different direction to get around all the traffic. We had a good visit and then I fired up the grill to grill some hamburgers for supper. We took Greg and Sandy back to their fifth wheel around 7:00 pm. when we got back home we settled in to watch the NASCAR race I had recorded which made for a late night.

Cheri and I left a few minutes passed 7:00 am to have breakfast at the Sunrise Eatery which opens at 7:00 am and still had to wait for a booth. When we got back home I did some computer work. We got a call from Sandy (Cheri’s sister) and Greg saying they got in yesterday afternoon from Maine and are camping at Baker Acers. They came over around 9:30 am. We had a good visit and then went to Golden Corral for lunch. After lunch it was back to the house to drop off Cheri and Sandy. Greg and I went to Hine’s mobile home store to see about getting pricing on a new shower base and surround for a customer here in the park. We also stopped at Rural King as Greg had never been to one before. We had a good visit while checking things out in the store. On the way home we stopped by the customer to let them know what I found out about the shower base and surround and they told me to go ahead and get it. I stopped at another place to see about a bathroom door I am supposed to change out to a larger door. They have decided to wait until they leave and go back north for the summer and I can do the project after they leave. Cheri had a roast beef along with carrots, onions, and potatoes going in the crockpot for supper. Greg and Sandy left around 7:00 pm.

It was cold this morning with a temp of 34 degrees, way too cold for this time of the year. I guess we are now paying for all the nice warm weather we had in February. Cheri was busy early this morning doing the laundry and later got a call from Denise asking her if she wanted to go shopping in Lakeland, of course Cheri was ready to go. I was out the door at 6:10 am for my accountability group Bible study and breakfast. I was back home by 8:00 am and got ready to leave for work over in Tampa Bay country club. My day was framing a 4’ by 8’ mirror along with installing some shelving in the garage. I didn’t get all the shelving done and will have to go back. They also have asked me to remove an inch wide accent strip of tile in the shower and install a different color accent strip, should be an interesting project. I was home by 4:00 pm and headed to the shower to get cleaned up before supper. Our Life Group Gathering was this evening. We had a good evening studying Gods word. Pam made the desserts for Life Group. She made one of my favorite which is Peach Cobbler, of course I had to have an extra serving. It was near 9:30 pm when we got home and I was tired and ready for bed. Thank you God for helping us and guiding us through another day.

It was another busy day for Cheri and me. Cheri getting the laundry done, taking Grandma for her radiation treatment, and getting groceries. I left early this morning for work because it was all outside work, repairing a patio roof and caulking on the main roof. Then on to another place to help a guy figure out on to build and install an attic door. Then another stop to change out several light bulbs to LED bulbs. Run wiring for a new electrical outlet in the patio. On the way home I stopped to see some new fiends I made while doing a lot of work for them. They both have been having some health issues the last couple of months. I also stopped at Lowe’s to get additional materials for tomorrow. With all of that I was still home by 3:30 pm. I had some computer work to do as I had to e-mail before and after pictures of the roof work I did. We left the house at 4:30 pm to pick up Ron and Sandy to go out for supper. We decided to go for Mexican in San Antonio, will when we got there it was closed for remolding. We went on over to interstate 75 and eat at Denny’s, never sure about how good Denny’s will be but we all had a very good meal at a reasonable price. Then it was back to Ron and Sandy’s where Sandy helped us with our income taxes. I had a problem with the input and Sandy found that I had entered some things in the wrong box, problem solved and now we can get them filed. I was on the cold side this morning with a temp of 41 degrees and never got out of the 60’s today.

Cheri did her Wednesday house work and took Grandma for her radiation treatment. It was near noon when she got home. I worked on cleaning rain gutters here in the park. I was done and home by noon. I got a call from a customer I worked for before to repair a couple of things that was found in the house inspection, my project for tomorrow. I spent the afternoon getting my tool and materials for tomorrow. Then took the car though the car wash and a trip to Lowe’s for my Friday project materials. I realized later in the afternoon that I had forgot a couple of things at Lowe’s so some time tomorrow it will be another trip to Lowe’s, sure glad that Lowe’s is close by. Cheri fixed Ruben sandwiches for supper from the leftover corn beef. The evening was spent watching TV. Thank you God for blessing us another day.

Cheri was busy today getting caught up on her house work and then spending time in her sewing room. I left early this morning so I could make a stop at Home Depot to pick up the screening for today’s project. I had to replace a 5 foot by 6 foot screen. I have been working at this place on and off for three months as they are getting it ready to sell. I think I am done with my work there. I headed over to another place to replace some light bulbs, reprogram the garage door openers, repair a fan remote, and install power cords in a channel behind the TV. She has a list of other things she wants done and will have to get the materials for the rest of the work. I was home around 3:00 pm, nice to be home early. I still had to get my truck cleaned out and ready for tomorrows project. Cheri fixed leftover corn beef and cabbage for Supper. We finished out the evening watching TV shows we had recorded. I probably should say Cheri watched TV as I napped through most of the shows. Our friend Jan that had back surgery yesterday came home today, we were really surprised as we thought that she would be in the hospital for two or three days.

It was a busy morning for Cheri. She got a corn beef going in the crockpot, Took Grandma for her radiation treatment, went to the bank, and picked up some groceries all before noon. I started at 9:00 am installing a new dryer vent for a customer. I had to make three trips under the house to find where it would be coming through the floor. It took me until noon to get the job done. I also got a call to check out another project which is to remove a bath tub and install a walk-in shower. I plan on starting that project in a couple of weeks. Cheri brought home sub sandwiches from the grocery store for our lunch. After lunch we headed down to the Tampa General Hospital to see our friend Jan Hughes who had back surgery this morning. We had never been to this hospital before and had a hard time finding where we needed to go, had to ask different people for help. When we got there Jan was still in recovery and doing well. Her daughter Sherry was there to be with her. After our visit it was time to head home and had to ask for help to get back to our car. It was 5:00 pm when we got home. I dropped Cheri off to start supper and I headed over to Lowe’s to get some materials I need for tomorrow but they were out of what I needed. So I will leave earlier in the morning so I can stop at Home Depot. At 6:30 pm we went over to Larry and Denice’s to play cards. Larry and I won the game of Hand, Knee, and Foot. Cheri and Denice won the game of pinochle. A fun night and we all came away winners. Thank you God for another wonderful day.

Our winter has returned as we have been having some pretty cool mornings but warms up to be a nice spring day. It is going to be down in the low 40’s tonight. Grandma didn’t go to church with us today as her knee is bothering her plus she wouldn’t want to be out on a cold morning. Pastor Randy had a good message today and in Sunday school we started a new lesson book studying 1, 2 Corinthians. Today lesson was United in Christ (1 Corinthians 1:10-25). Thank you God for being with us studying your word with fiends today. We visited for a while after Sunday school so was near 1:00 pm when we got home. This afternoon Cheri and I worked on income taxes. At 3:30 pm the NASCAR race started so you know I spent the rest of the afternoon watching the race. Cheri read, napped, and watch some of the race with me. We at our usual Sunday evening pizza for supper. I am still going through motorcycle withdraw, I know it was the right thing to do but that doesn’t make it any easier.

Today was a bitter sweet day for me. I had put the motorcycle on Craigslist a few days ago and today a couple of parties were coming to look at it. The first guy came at 9:00 am and check it out and bought it. While he went to the bank to get the money I called the other guy and told him that the bike was sold. Then I had Cheri take a few pictures with me and the bike. As this is the last bike I will own which means an end to motorcycling. I know in my mind that it was the right thing to do but still was hard to give up something I have done for many years. Cheri made a trip to Wal-Mart this morning for a few things we needed. When she got back we had an early lunch as I had to be in Dade City at noon to meet three other guys from our Sunday school class. Today is the Baptist Wild Game Feed which is where a large group of guys from different churches get together and cooks all different kinds of wild game. There usually are around 600 guys that come but this year there seem to be less guys. Our group deep fried fish and gator. After the meal they have a guest speaker deliver the message and then a drawing for a lot of door prizes. After all was said and done it was around 9:30 pm when I got home.

Time to say goodbye

Cheri and I both had a bad night as I was up at 4:30 am and Cheri at 5:30 am. So we decided to go out for breakfast that the Sunshine eatery. After breakfast we headed to Tampa as I had a 9:00 am appointment at the VA. Things went well and got a good report. Also made a stop at the VA optical department to have a new nose pad installed as I lost one this morning. We were back home by 11:30 am. Cheri finished the laundry and I did some computer work. At 1:00 pm I went and did a roof repair here in the park as there was a leak around the skylight. While I was loading the ladder into the truck a couple that was out walking their dog stopped and talked to me about my handy work. So I ended up with another job of removing a 24 inch bathroom door and replacing it with a 30 inch door. When I got home I worked on replacing the outside security lights that I bought last week, another good job to have done. We met Mike and Pam at 5:15 at Panera Bread to have soup and sandwich before going to Ron and Sandy’s for our Life Group Gathering. It was a good night to spend with friends and learn about God.

Wow! Two months gone for 2018 already, don’t know where they went. Cheri and I discussed about getting a new dishwasher this morning. I had looked for the manual last night and couldn’t find it so Cheri was going to look for it today. For some reason the dishwasher showed that it was in the lock position, not sure how that happened. Well Cheri got on line and Googled the problem and got an answer on how to unlock it. So later in the morning while at work I got a text from Cheri telling she fixed the dishwasher, great news. Cheri also took Grandma for her radiation treatment which takes a good chunk of the day. Plus she did laundry. I was doing power washing today. I finished the house I was working on Monday. I also power washed the front entry way, garage floor, sidewalk, and driveway. I did a repair to a patio door blind that was broken. On the way home I stopped at the dealership to get another temp tag for the truck. It has been three months and all I get is excuses but this time it got lost on someone’s desk and was told I would have the plates in two weeks, of course I don’t believe anything they tell me anymore. This evening we met Mike & Pam and Ron & Sandy at Pizza Hut for supper. We had a good visit but was really noisy and hard to hear. The rest of the evening was catching up on some TV shows.

I had another good night’s sleep and felt more like working today. Cheri once again took Grandma for her 11:15 am radiation treatment. She also had to get groceries for Grandma and was after 1:00 pm when she got home. She spent time in her sewing room working on the bed spread. I had a 9:00 am appointment at a place where I have done work before. I installed a full length mirror, removed a drapery rod with a tapestry and hung it in a different place, finished the cabinet install, installed a cabinet rollout, modified a couple of cabinet shelves, and installed a light fixture in the den. On the way home I made a stop at the place where I had installed the bathroom sinks as I had got a call that the cold and hot water in one of the sinks was wrong. The shut off valves under the sink are supposed to be cold water on the right and hot water on the left, well that wasn’t the case with one of the sinks. It was still my fault for not checking as this isn’t the first time I have found this (lesson learned). When I got home I unloaded the truck and then took it through the car wash. Cheri made chicken quesadillas for supper, very good. The dishwasher quit working and time to look for a new one. I had repaired it last year and now seems to have the same problem so a new one is in order.
