It was 63 degrees for the
morning walk and no wind. I left the house at 6:45 am to get the breakfast
sandwich at the Hole-in-One donut shop. Then back home for breakfast and
coffee. Then out the door again at 7:30 am heading to Lowes to pick up the deck
boards for the deck project. I work on the deck project until 1:00 pm. It was
too hot and not in the shade any longer. The high temp was in the low 80’s and
the humidity is back. Cheri was taking it easy reading and watching TV. After I
showered and got cleaned up we headed to Lakeland to have dinner at Harry’s and
were back home by 5:00 pm. It was a normal evening of TV and had a dish of ice
cream later in the evening.

It was a little warmer this morning for the walk, only needed a light jacket. I started the laundry this morning and Cheri finished it. Cheri busied herself with the normal Friday housework. I left at 9:00 am to work on the patio deck project. I had another good day except for later in the afternoon. I ended up with too much sun and had to quit at 2:30 pm. I forgot to take a picture of the progress I made today. We had planned on going Lakeland to eat at Harry’s this evening but when I got home I told Cheri I was too tired and exhausted to go. After I got cleaned up I headed to the recliner and had an hours nap. Cheri fixed us breakfast for supper. Had eggs, bacon, hash browns, juice, and English muffins. This evening we watched Life below Zero the Next Generation, Airplane Repo, and Date Line. Thank you God for a productive day and keeping healthy and safe.

Another nice morning
walking with a temp at 56 degrees and no wind. I left the house at 9:00 am and
picked up Ron Sharp to go to his daughter’s rental to install a new dishwasher.
The trip should only take a half hour but today there was so much traffic in
both directions that we couldn’t move only a few feet at a time. We finally got
off on a side street but had to drive an extra 20 miles to get there. I had to
come up with some special fittings to install the water to the dishwasher which
I figured I wouldn’t have with me. But after going through my plumbing boxes I came
up with the right fittings. While working on the dishwasher I got another call
that neighbors of some church friends had a leak under the bathroom sink and
wanted me to check it out. It was on my way home so stopped and it was a small
leak in the waste line and all I had to do was tighten it up. The neighbor will
be gone for a month and wants to shut off the water to the house. Well the
water shutoff box at the street was full of sand. I cooped out three pails of
sand to get to the shutoff valves. From there I took the old dishwasher to the
scarp yard and then stopped fill up the truck with gas. It was 2:30 pm when I
got home. I missed lunch so was really hungry. After eating a sandwich I headed
to the shower to get cleaned up. Cheri was busy with laundry and other housework.
She fixed us the rest of the baked spaghetti for supper, which we had later
because of my late lunch. This evening we watched more episodes of Airplane
Repo. Thank you God for a blessed day with safe travels and helping us with our
projects.
Gay Feb-24-21

It was 46 degrees this morning for the walk and no breeze which made for a nice walk. I was out the door at 9:00 am to work on the deck project. I made another change to the project. It started out as a 4’ by 7’ deck. A couple days ago it got change to 4’ by 10’ deck because one of the post would fall right in the middle of the liana window. So today I thought that the 4’ by 10’ wouldn’t look right so I extended it by 2’ and now the deck will be 6’ by 10’ which will make it look better. I did get a lot done today and needed an additional 10’ 2 by 6 plus some misalliance bolts and hangers. So I knock off early to go to Lowes. I was home by 4:00 pm. Cheri went shopping today and even bought me a few things. She made a baked French bread loaf for supper. This evening we watched several episodes of a show that Cheri found. I think the name of the show was Airplane Repo. They go out and reposes airplanes that haven’t been paid for. It is on the Discovery Chanel. They also show a couple other guys reposing million dollar yachts. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and keeping us healthy.

Today temps were pretty
much the same as yesterday. I left the house at 6:30 am for my accountability
breakfast and Bible study. We studied the first part of Acts chapter nine. It
was near 9:00 am when I got home. At 9:30 am I headed over to Donna’s to start
on the deck project. By the time I got all the materials unloaded and back to
the house to get my saws and other tools it was near noon. So we had lunch
before going back to work. Cheri was busy with the Tuesday house work and went
to the grocery store to get things to make a tossed salad that I have to take
for my Men’s Night Out. I had a design change in the deck and had to make
another trip to Lowes for additional materials so I didn’t get much done today
and had to quit early to get cleaned up and be at the church 6:00 pm to help
set things up for Men’s Night Out. Our devotions was on how to be a good
steward with what God gives us. It was getting near 9:00 pm when I got home. I
was tired from the day and decided to head to bed and watch a little TV before
calling it a night. Thank you God for a blessed day and spending time in
fellowship and learning about your word.

It was a couple degrees
warmer this morning for the walk. It turned out to be a very nice day with the
temp topping out around 80 degrees. I left the house at 8:45 am for dermatology
appointment at the VA in Tampa. I got a good report and nothing to be removed.
I had to wait 45 minutes before I could get in. It was noon when I got home. I
stepped in the house and could smell chocolate cookies that Cheri made this
morning. Cheri continues with her walking and exercises each day. After lunch I
went over to Donna Perkins to take some more measurements and make a list of
materials I need for the deck project. On the way to Lowes I stopped at Harbor Freight
to pick up a couple things I needed. At Lowes I got all the materials to frame
up the deck project. It was 4:00 pm by the time I got home. Cheri fixed us
leftover baked spaghetti which I think was better as all the favors soaked in. I
tried to do some reading before supper but that didn’t work as I couldn’t stay
awake. This evening we watched the Rookie, NCIS LA, NCIS New Orleans, and Date
Line. Thank you God for a blessed day.

It was 52 degrees this
morning but breezy for the morning walk. It was the only time I was outside
today. It was a normal Sunday with streaming the church service at 10:00 am. Then
at 11:30 am streaming the Sunday school lesson. The lesson was titled “Loved”
from Luke 7:40-50. Jesus saves all who come to Him in faith. At 12:30 pm we
started the oven for our Sunday pizza. This afternoon we watched an episode of
Date Line and then watched NASCAR racing. Later in the evening we watched a
movie we had recorded. Thank you God for a relaxing day and spending time with
you.
Gay Feb-20-21

It was 21 degrees colder
this morning than yesterday morning. The temp today had a hard time making it
to 70 degrees today. Nothing much going on in the Sharp house today. I did some
computer work this morning. Later I went over to Donna’s to see about building
a small platform and stairs to her lanai. Yes I said that I wasn’t going to do
any more work but she is a good friend and I couldn’t say no to her. Cheri went
shopping today and came home with nothing, couldn’t find anything that interested
her. Most of the afternoon was spent reading and napping for me. Cheri fixed us
baked spaghetti and French bread for supper. She made extra and will have it
for couple more meals. There was an old motorhome sitting in the lot behind us.
It has been sitting there for a couple of years. Well this afternoon around
2:30 pm a big box truck came in to pull it out. Well it was quite the site as
they kept trying to pull it and it would move. They even got the box truck
stuck in the sand. After breaking the pull chain a couple of times they went
and got a jack and some boards to put under the wheels on the motorhome. After
several more tries they finally got it to move. Then pulling it around a tree
to get it out they got the box truck stuck under a limb from the tree. They had
to get a chain saw to cut the limb off in order to get the truck out. Long
story short by 7:00 pm they finally got it out of the yard. The rest of the
evening was watching a movie and Date Line. Thank you God for a relaxing day.
Gay Feb-19-21

It was 71 degrees this
morning for the walk, no jacket needed. After Cheri got out of the shower I got
the Friday bedding laundry started. Later Cheri and I worked together making
the bed, a lot easier with both of us doing it. We had rain off and on all day
making it miserable to be out and the temp was dropping all day. I did go out
for a haircut this morning. After lunch Cheri went grocery shopping and I worked
on the ice cube maker as it was frozen and needed to get it thawed out. I went
out in the shed to get my heat gun and couldn’t find it. I looked for it as I
knew where it was supposed to be, well it was there and I keep looking past it.
Cheri was back from shopping before I got it thawed out. After an hour or so I
heard ice drop so it must be working again. Cheri and I did some reading this
afternoon but it was napping for me as I couldn’t stay awake to read. Cheri
fixed us steak and a baked potato for supper along with some fresh French bread.
This evening we watched some shows we had recorded. The temp was already down
to 54 degrees when called it a night. Thank you God for productive day and
keeping us healthy.
Gay Feb-18-21

It was 68 degrees this
morning for the walk and got up into the low 80’s today with a lot of sunshine.
I started the Thursday laundry this morning and Cheri finished it later in the
morning. She also had a knee doctor appointment this morning and got a good
report and doesn’t have to go back for four months. I headed out at 9:00 am and
headed to Dade City to check out what materials I needed to repair the ramp
railing that goes into our Sunday school house. Then headed to Lowes to get the
materials and home to get the saw and other tools I would need for the project.
I was going to wait until after lunch but it was still early so headed back to
the Sunday school building to do the project. I changed out sixteen spindles
and reattached several more. It was 1:45 pm when I got home. I had a late lunch
and then headed to the shower to get cleaned up. I tried to read some but ended
up taking a nap. Later we read some more and then watched some TV. We had the
rest of the leftover pork roast for supper. We settled in this evening watching
the Chicago shows and Seal Team before calling it a night. Thank you God for
Cheri’s good report and keeping us healthy and safe.

It was a cool day with a
light breeze and didn’t see much sun. We left the house at 9:00 am and headed up
to Ocala to visit with Peter and Vickie TeBeest who are down from Wisconsin for
three months. Peter and I worked together at the phone company for many years.
It was good to see them and spend the day together. It was 7:00 pm when we got
home. We were still full from lunch today so settled for some crackers and
cheese and later a dish of ice cream. We watched a movie and a home improvement
show before calling it a night. Thank you God for safe travels and time spent
with good friends.
Gay Feb-16-21

It was another nice walk
this morning. But when I left at 6:30 am for my accountability group breakfast
and Bible study there was a stiff breeze that made it cold. Had a good Bible
study and finished Acts Chapter 8. When I got home I worked scanning some tax
papers for our son Darren. He uses our address because it takes up two months
to send mail to Mexico and then sometimes it doesn’t get to him. So by scanning
it and e-mailing it to him works the best. Later I went out to do a quick wash
on the car and truck. Normally I would take them through the car wash on
Wednesday but we are going to be gone all day Wednesday and not able to do it. Cheri
was busy with exercises, walking, and house work this morning. This afternoon and
evening we spent time reading and watching more movies from ShowTime and Starz.
Our arms are a little sore from the virus shot yesterday. Thank you God for a
blessed day.
Gay Feb-15-21

It was another nice
morning for the walk with a temp of 66 degrees. It was cloudy with a breeze and
some rain showers throughout the day. We took it easy this morning as nothing
going on until 10:40 am when we had to be down at the club house to receive or
virus shots. When we go home it was almost lunch time. We watched a show while
eating our lunch. Later I went out and restocked the truck getting things ready
for tomorrow. Cheri worked on getting a pork roast in the crockpot to have for
supper along with scalloped potatoes. We both spent a lot of the day taking it
easy and reading our novels. This evening we watch more movies we recorded from
the free ShowTime and Starz. Thank you God for a blessed day getting the virus
shots to help us stay free of the virus.
Gay Feb-14-21

Happy Valentine’s Day. Cheri and I were in engaged 54 years ago. It
was raining this morning so there wasn’t any walk. It rained off and on most of
the day and received another ¾ inch. Cheri got her walking and exercises done
before we streamed the church service at 10:00 am. Pastor James delivered the
message today. We are still doing a series on how to be a good disciple. The
message today was from John 1:35-51. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Reigns”
from Luke 6:1-11. Jesus prioritizes meeting people’s needs over keeping
rituals. At 12:30 pm I went down to the club house to pick up our free Valentines
meal put on by the park and HOA. We had meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas
& carrots, and cake for dessert, it was very good. Dish had free ShowTime
and Starz for a couple of days so we watched several movies today. At 3:00 pm I
started to watch the Daytona Five Hundred which after a few laps had a big
wreck and then the rain came. So it was in a rain delay until 9:15 pm. I
watched the first stage and the called it a night. Hope I can watch the rest of
it tomorrow. We got notice this afternoon that our virus shots for us will be
at 10:40 am tomorrow morning at the club house. Thank you Good for time spent
with you streaming the church service and the Sunday school lesson.
Gay Feb-13-21

It was 68 degree this
morning made for a nice walk. At 7:00 am I headed out to the Hole-in-One donut
shop for the Saturday morning breakfast. Around 8:00 am it started to rain and continued
most of the morning. I did some computer work this forenoon but with the rain I
didn’t feel like going out. Later in the day Cheri and I filled out our paper
work so we can get our virus shot here in the park. They are going to call us
tomorrow with the time for our shots. The rest of the day was spent reading,
napping, and watching TV. We watched movies, Dateline, Gold Rush, FBI Most
Wanted, and more NASCAR racing. It was nice to have another down day. I checked
the rain gauge and see we received 1 ¼ inch of rain. The rain also brought down
a bunch of leaves for another project of raking leaves. Thank you God for a
blessed day.
Gay Feb-12-21

It was up to 64 degrees
this morning for the walk and top out around 80 degrees. The bug man came at
9:00 am for a second spraying to make sure we have gotten rid of all the German
cockroaches. Cheri and I worked on recovering the chair and then took it over
to Lou’s. We sat and had a nice visit with her. Cheri had some books from Donna
Perkins that she read and wanted to return them so we drove over to her place.
Her daughter Kathy was there from Wisconsin. So we had a good visit with them. It
was 1:45 pm when we got home. So it was a very late lunch. We watched the
second NASCAR race that had been in a rain delay last night. The rest of the
afternoon we read and some napping for me. We got notice that the virus shots
will be available here in our park Monday. Cheri fixed us a hamburger for a
late supper. We weren’t all that hungry because of the late lunch. The evening
was spent watching some shows we had recorded don’t really remember what they
were. Thank you God for a blessed day and visiting with friends.
Gay Feb-11-21

The temp this morning was
down a few degrees to 59 degrees, still a nice morning for a walk and no wind. This morning Cheri was busy cleaning off the
counter in the kitchen, she had a lot of papers to sort through. I cleaned up
my office space as it hasn’t been done for many months, couldn’t believe all
the stuff I saved and didn’t need any longer. I also went out and cut out a new
seat for the chair we are recovering. That was going to be our project for the
day. Well that changed when I got a call from a client over in Tampa Bay
country. All the outlets in their kitchen were dead. I was pretty sure it was
the ground fault outlet needed to be reset. I told him where to look for it and
how to do the reset. It still didn’t work so I headed out and stopped at Lowes
and got a new ground fault outlet. When I got there I checked and they had an
open neutral. It turned out to be a bad ground fault outlet. So I installed the
new one and problem solved. On the way home I stopped and picked up my meds at
the pharmacy and got Cheri and I on the list for the virus shot which they will
have the end of the month. It was 1:30 pm when I got home. Cheri was on the
phone and was able to make appointments with Advent Health to have our virus
shots on Tuesday at 8:30 am. After a late lunch I didn’t feel like doing
anything else for the day. So I showered and headed to the recliner where Cheri
and I read for the rest of the afternoon. We watched Chicago Med and Chicago
Fire before it was time to watch NASCAR racing. The second race was in a rain
delay and gave up waiting and went to bed. Thank you God for a blessed day and
getting us set up for the virus shots.
Gay Feb-10-21

It was 64 degrees for my
walk this morning. The temp topped out in the low 80’s. Cheri was busy getting
her exercises and walking done early as she had a 9:00 am appointment to have
her hair cut. I worked all morning on getting some reimbursements from our
insurance. Also got us an appointment to have our taxes done, the earliest I could
get one was for April 8th. Still having problems with my Medicare
part D, so I called them again for the third time. I was worried that I hadn’t
received any kind of paperwork as Cheri and I signed up at the same time and
she got her paper work the end of November. I was afraid they would cancel me
for not making a payment. Well I finally got something in the mail today that
was mailed the first part of January. The address was all wrong and surprised
that it got to me. Later this afternoon Cheri and I made a trip to Lakeland to
get some material at Jo-Ann Fabrics for a chair we are recovering for a lady
here in our park. While we were in Lakeland we decided to have dinner at Harry’s
to celebrate Valentine’s Day as 54 years ago on Valentine’s Day we got engaged.
We were back home by 5:30 pm. We settled in for an evening of TV watching FBI,
FBI Most Wanted, Dateline, and Life below Zero the Next Generation. Thank you
God for guiding us through this day keeping us healthy and safe.
Gay Feb-9-21

It was 71 degrees this
morning when I walked, had a high of 84 degrees more to my liking. I left the
house at 6:30 am heading to Dade City for my accountability group breakfast and
Bible study. We are still in Acts chapter 8. On the way home I stopped at Lowes
to pick up a kitchen sink faucet set to install this afternoon. Cheri had a sleep
in this morning and was just getting around when I got home. She was busy today
doing vacuuming and mopping the floors. She is still doing her daily exercises
and walking. At 10:30 am I picked up Dennis (my walking buddy) as he has
friends that need a new garbage disposal and wanted me to do the install
because I had all the tools. I was back home at 11:30 am. I rested a bit before
Cheri fixed us lunch and then at 1:00 pm I went to install the kitchen faucet
set, had to make another trip to Lowes to get some new shut off valves as the
old ones no longer would work. I was done work by 3:30 pm. After I got cleaned up
and joined Cheri to watch a Hallmark movie but ended up napping. When I woke up
at 5:30 pm Cheri fixed us supper. We had hotdogs with potato salad along with
cucumbers and carrot with some French dip. I was a happy camper this evening
because NSCAR started this evening. So my evening was spent watching the pre-race
show and then the race, Cheri even watched with me. Thank you God for a blessed
day.
Gay Feb-8-21

It was much warmer this
morning but breezy so needed a light jacket. I was slow getting around this
morning as I didn’t have to be at work until 10:00 am. I worked at a party here
in the park as she had a list of things she wanted done. Hang a picture, change
light bulb in hood vent, fix shed door that wouldn’t stay closed, and reattach a
floor molding. She wanted me to walk around the house and check things out. I
did find a section of siding that was loose on the house. So this afternoon I
removed about 10 square feet that had been installed with staples and had broken
the siding. So I reinstalled it with siding nails which should have been used
in the beginning. It was near 4:00 pm when I got home. Cheri had been busy with
housework, doing her exercises, and made a batch of chocolate chip cookies.
After I showered I headed to the recliner to rest a while before supper. Well I
got a call from a party here in the park that had a water leak under the sink.
So I headed out to check it out. It turned out to be a pipe sticking out of the
ground under the house that had been caped. The end cap had a crack in it and
was spraying water under the house by where the water goes to the sink. I went
home and got the repair parts for it and then back to fix it. It only took
about an hour and a half to get it completed and back home. Cheri fixed us
leftover chicken and dumplings we had a few days ago, still very good. This
evening we watched some episodes Building in Alaska. Thank you God for guiding
us through this day keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.

This morning it was 62
degrees for the walk. But I could see and hear lighting and thunder. I checked
the radar and thought I could get the walk in before it rained. I got a text
from Dennis letting me know he wasn’t going to walk. I had checked my phone
just before I left the house and hadn’t received anything from him. Well when I
got to our meeting spot I checked the phone again and had the text that he wasn’t
walking. So I continued by myself. I was two house away from home when the rain
started so I got the walk in without getting wet. We streamed the church
service like we have done for the last few months. Today we didn’t go to Sunday
school because there were so many and couldn’t stay at a safe distance so we
streamed it. Hope after we get our virus shots we can get back to something
more normal. Later this morning I got on line and ordered a pizza from Pizza
Hut to be picked up at 12:45 pm. Instead of marinara sauce I ordered BQ sauce.
I through it was really good but Cheri didn’t like it. After watching a movie
with Cheri I headed to the computer and worked on getting the new printer installed
which took longer than I thought it would. When I got done with the computer
work I fixed Cheri and me an English muffin with peanut butter for our supper.
Cheri was watching a Hallmark movie and I headed to the bedroom to watch the Super
bowl game. I was rooting for the Buccaneer’s and they pulled out a big win
which made it fun to watch the game. Thank you God for being able to watch our
church service and Sunday school class without leaving the house.
Gay Feb-6-21

Much warmer this morning
with a temp of 59 degrees. Turned out to be a nice day with a temp in the mid
70’s. I left the house at 9:30 am to change out two outside lights on a garage.
I had a hard time getting the old ones off the wall. But things did go well.
Then at 1:00 pm I went to put the new door handle and switches in the
dishwasher I had looked at a few days ago. By the time I was done and home it
was 1:45 pm. Cheri fixed us another hoagie roll with smoked pulled pork. After
a shower and getting cleaned up I worked on the printer and finally gave up on
getting it to work correctly. Cheri and I headed out Tampa to check out a new
printer. With ink cartridges being so high I decided to get a laser printer. It
was after 5:00 pm when we got home with a new printer which I will try to
install tomorrow. Neither of us was hungry so we settled for a dish of ice
cream. This evening we watched Blind Frog Ranch and Gold Rush before calling it
a night.
Gay Feb-5-21

Ten degrees warmer this
morning at 39 degrees and warmed up to a beautiful day with the high temp near
80 degrees. I worked on getting my truck cleaned out and then loaded some scrap
metal to take to the recycling, made $15.45. Cheri drove out of the park for
the first time today going to the bank and grocery shopping. She brought home
some smoked pulled pork to have in a hoagie roll for lunch and was very good.
This afternoon I worked on scanning in drug receipts and getting them to the
insurance company to get reimbursed. Well part way through my printer quit
working. I had a spare printer that Pat and Roger gave us so I got it out and
hooked it up but having some problems with it. I downloaded the manual and
tried to download some new software but for some reason it didn’t want to take
the new software. I had enough for the day and will work on it tomorrow. Cheri
fixed me smoked ribs that she bought today to have for supper and they were
very good. This evening we watched a couple of episodes of Dateline. Thank you
God for a blessed day.
Gay Feb-4-21

It’s cold!!! It was 29
degree this morning for my walk. We didn’t get out of the house until 12:30 pm
but was nice with a temp of 62 degrees, sunny, and a light breeze. Today was
laundry day and I got it started and Cheri finished it. Cheri fixed us a big
breakfast of eggs, sausage, English muffin, juice, and coffee. We made a trip
to Wal-Mart for a few things we needed. Then a stop at BK as we had a coupon
for two junior Whoppers and two small fries to have for a late lunch at home.
We spent the rest of the afternoon reading. This evening all we had was an
English muffin with peanut butter because of the late lunch. Sure was nice to
have another day off and did feel a little guilty but that didn’t last long. This
evening we watched all the Chicago shows and For Life before calling it a
night. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and keeping us safe from
the virus. We are still waiting to get our shots here in our park, still
nothing scheduled here in the park.
Gay Feb-3-21

It was 36 degrees this
morning when I walked. That was the only time I was out of the house today.
With the kitchen project done I didn’t have to be anywhere for work today. So
Cheri and I relaxed, a lot of reading, and some napping. I did do a little
computer work this afternoon. We had soup for lunch was good on a cold day. Not
doing anything today so when it came to supper time we weren’t very hungry so
only had an English muffin with peanut butter and a cookie. Later in the
evening while watching TV I did have a bag of popcorn. We watched the movie
called “Let Him Go” starring Kevin Costner. It was an ok movie but not one of
his better movies. We also watched Dateline. Thank you God for a relaxing day.
Gay Feb-2-21

Hey! It is ground hog day,
will he see his shadow or not. Well it is still winter and spring will come
when it is time. It was another cold morning and the high for the day was 51
degrees and windy. My day started with the morning walk and then left the house
at 6:30 am heading to Dade City for my Tuesday morning breakfast and Bible
study with our accountability group. We finished Luke chapter 7 and started on
chapter 8, good stuff. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday housework and her normal
every day exercises. I finished the kitchen project and was done by noon. I
will have to go back after they get the counter tops installed to do the back
splash but I am sure it will be a while before that happens. While I was
loading the tools in my truck I got a call from a party here in the park that
said that the handle on their dishwasher broke and wanted to know if I could
fix it. So before I went home for lunch I stopped by to check it out. I took
the door apart and found that it couldn’t be repaired. So after lunch I got on
the internet and found a new handle which I ordered. This afternoon Cheri was
busy making chicken and dumplings to have for supper this evening. Then we
relaxed reading and napping later this afternoon. The dumplings were excellent and
had to have a second dish of them. Later we had strawberry short cake while
watching TV. We watched some episodes of Cold Case and Expedition Unknown.
Thank you God for a blessed day.

It was 66 degrees when I
got up this morning. It was 64 degrees when I left the house for my morning
walk and when I got home it was down to 62 degrees. Plus we had a very windy
day. 66 degrees was the high for the day and by 4:00 pm it was down to 54
degrees. Cheri continues to improve some every day. She is still doing her exercises
and walking. I worked on the kitchen project today and thought I would finish
but the flooring took a lot longer than I thought it would. So I still have one
more day working on the project. It was 4:00 pm when I got done for the day.
Cheri fixed us leftover spaghetti for supper along with an English muffin and a
cookie for dessert. I did have a bag of popcorn later while watching TV. We got
a call from Nikki this evening and had good visit with her. Thank you God for helping us through this day.

Hard to believe this is
the last day of January, it went by pretty fast for me. The temp today was the
same as yesterday, mid 70’s for the high. It was normal Sunday taking our time
to get around in the morning as nothing going on until we stream the church
service at 10:00 am. After the church service we headed out to Dade City to
attend our Sunday school class. The lesson today was titled “Followed” from
Luke 5:4-11, 27-32. Jesus uses ordinary people with diverse backgrounds in his
work. Earlier this morning I placed and order with Pizza Hut for a pizza to be
picked up at 1:15 pm. It has been many years since we have order one on line.
It was good for a change as I am getting tired of the frozen pizzas. We tried
to watch a movie but I couldn’t stay awake so after a short nap I headed to the
computer to upload some meds to get reimbursed for. After that went back to
watching TV, still having trouble staying awake. This evening we didn’t have
any supper because of all the pizza but did have another bowl of strawberry
short cake. We have been disappointed with this batch of strawberries, just not
as good as what we are used to. I also tried to do some reading this evening
but that didn’t work either. Thank you God for a blessed day spending time with
you and friends.
