After my walk and Cheri’s exercise
it was time for breakfast and coffee. Cheri was busy doing laundry and I was
getting ready to pick up Grandma and take her for her doctor’s appointment. I
dropped Grandma off at the door and then went and parked the car. When I got to
the waiting room Grandma was the only one waiting and thought we would get
right in to see the doctor. But the reason that there was no one in the waiting
room was because the doctor was gone on an emergency. They said that they had
tried to call and didn’t get any answer. I asked what number they were calling
and it was Grandma’s. We have told them many times to remove her number and put
our number on her chart. Long story short her new appointment is at the end of
the month. When I got Grandma home she told me that the hall light was burned
out and wanted me to change it. Well it turns out that the switch is bad. I
needed to get a new switch which I have at home. When I got home Cheri had made
a new recipe of onion and meat ball soup in the crockpot for supper. After
lunch we went to the hospital to see Mike and he is doing much better and is
being discharged late this afternoon. Then we stopped by Grandmas to install
the new hallway light switch. I found out that the old switch was just
installed in the wall without an electrical box. So I will have to make a trip
to Lowe’s for parts. She also told us the her TV still isn’t working right so I
called Bright House and are going to send a repairman between 4 and 6 pm. When
we got home it was about time for supper, the onion meat ball soup wasn’t as
good as we thought it would be. Cheri has some ideas on how to make the leftovers
better. This evening we went to see the movie “The Case for Christ”. I was very
good and was based on a true story about the life of Lee Strobel aggressive
atheism to evangelical Christianity. We got to the theater early to make sure
we could get a good seat. Well we were the first ones there and only two more
people came to see the movie. I was so sure the theater would be full for the
movie, I sure was disappointed.

I forgot to mention that
we got a little rain yesterday, first rain in a couple of months or longer. It
was only a ¼ inch but it was rain. I walked again this morning and getting more
into the habit and stating to enjoy it more. After breakfast and Bible study we
went over to the hospital to set with Mike because Pam had some errands that
she needed to do. Mike is better today than he was yesterday. He is eating a
little more and also walked up and down the hall. Also got good news that the
blood test came back negative which means no more blood infection. It was 1:30
pm when we got home and had a late lunch. Neither of us was in the mood to do
anything this afternoon so it was an afternoon of reading, TV, and napping. Cheri
fixed us waffles for supper. The rest of the evening was watching shows we had
recorded and are almost caught up with all the recordings.

I got out for my walk a
little earlier this morning and saw a few different people out walking. I also
checked to see how far I have been walking and it is 1 & 6/10 miles. Cheri
rides the stationary recumbent bike every day except for Saturday and Sunday.
After breakfast we spend time in our Bible study. Cheri was busy cleaning and
mopping all the floors which is something she does every Tuesday. I spent the
rest of the morning and part of the afternoon studying for my drone pilot certificate
which is going to take a lot of studying for me. Cheri talked to Pam today to
see about going to the hospital to see Mike but she said that he isn’t doing
very well today and all he wants to do is sleep and isn’t eating. So it would
be best to just let him sleep and check again tomorrow. This evening Ron &
Sandy and we went out for dinner and then to the theater in Wesley Chapel to
see the production of Jonah that was put on by Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster
Pennsylvania and Branson Missouri which is now playing for one night in theaters
around the state. We have been to Branson to see other productions and seeing
them live is much better than the theater but still a good show.
I am asking everyone that
read our blog to please pray for our friend Mike to get back to good health and
for Pam as she is under a lot of stress and not getting enough sleep.

Ok who ran off with the
month of April, seems like it just started the other day. Anyway happy May Day.
I did get my walk in this morning even though I didn’t think the old body was
going to make it. Cheri was busy doing her house work and ironing. I took
Grandma for her eye appointment at 10:20 am. We had to wait a long time before
we got in and was around 1:00 pm before I got home for lunch. This afternoon we
went over to the hospital to see how Mike was doing. He is doing better but not
eating, says he doesn’t feel like eating and that the food doesn’t taste good,
probably caused by the medication. When we got home we headed for the
recliners. Cheri tried to do some reading and fell asleep and I did some drone studying
and it wasn’t long and I was also asleep. After about an hour we were awake and
Cheri fixed us a hoagie beef and cheese sandwich for supper. Later in the
evening we had a bowl of ice cream while watching Dancing with the Stars. Judge
Cheri picked the three couples that would be up for elimination. We thought
that Nancy Kerrigan should have stayed.

We got a call at 1:00 am
from Pam that she was at the emergency room with Mike. So we headed over to be
with her along with Ron and Sandy. Mike was running a fever and non-responsive
plus his blood pressure dropped really low. When we got there they had already
run some test and waiting for the results. He was passing blood which had to be
from the procedure he had done on Friday. He was admitted and got to a room
around 4:30 am. We stayed until 5:00 am and then headed home and got ready for
church. Grandma went to church with us today. Both church and Sunday school was
really good. After Sunday school we dropped off Grandma and headed back to the
hospital to be with Mike and Pam. Shortly after we got there the nurse came in
and said that Mike’s blood culture came back and he has a blood infection from
the procedure he had done. They have him on antibiotics and will be in the
hospital for another two or three days. We got home around 2:20 pm and were
both really tired. Cheri was fixing us an English muffin and bagel for a late
lunch when she dropped the jar of peanut butter which hit the plate that the
bagel was on and the plate exploded and had pieces of glass all over the
kitchen floor, counter, and stove. We were both bare footed and both of us
ended up with glass in our feet while cleaning up everything. I tried to watch
the NASCAR race I was recording but did a lot of napping while it was on and
Cheri also took a long nap. We had pizza for supper and more TV this evening.
