I hope everyone had good
holiday. Cheri and I stayed home. I worked outside on building the attic door I
will be installing Saturday. It was very hot so I took a break from the door to
go over to the neighbors and finish the popcorn ceiling project and work on the
transition strip. I was able to run it through the saw and cut off the broken
part and still had enough to reinstall it. Then it was back to work on the
attic door. Around 3:00 pm it started to rain so that was the end of my work
day which was OK as I was ready to quit. I was tired, hot, sweaty, and ready
for a shower. Cheri spent most of the day looking through patterns and material
planning her next sewing project. For supper Cheri fixed the last of the roast
beef on toast with gravy. The evening was spent reading, watching TV, and
snacking. I didn’t check the rain gauge but would guess we got about a ¼ inch.
Thank you God for helping us through another day with your blessings.

It was another very hot
day. I worked outside for a while restocking tool and material tubs for the
truck. I spray painted the neighbors air conditioner return vent. I went to
Lowe’s to get the popcorn spray to repair her bathroom ceiling. I also got some
stain to see if I could fix the wood floor. I did get the popcorn ceiling
repaired and will have to go back tomorrow to reinstall the air vent and
exhaust fan. The stain for the floor didn’t work and she has decided to wait on
the floor. The transition strip between the hallway and kitchen was broke so I
went back to Lowe’s to see about a new one but didn’t have any the right color.
So I will talk to her tomorrow to see what she wants to do. Cheri was busy with
her Tuesday housework. I was done early this afternoon. After a hot shower I
headed to the recliner for TV and a nap along with Cheri reading and napping.
Later this evening we went out to the new Wawa to get chocolate shake’s that
are on sale for the grand opening. We also got another ¼ inch of rain. Thank
you God for what you do for us.

This morning I installed a
new attic fan at the place where I removed the old on last week. I started
early before it got too hot in the attic. By the time I got done it was already
up to 90 degrees. They also had some of the rain gutters that needed to be
repaired that were coming loose from the house. I removed the nails that had
come loose and replaced them with screws. Then I did a cleaning as the
downspouts were plugged with pine needles and leaves. It was noon when I got
home and was 97 degrees out. I was ready for a second shower as I was wet from
sweating. After lunch I sat down for a while and ended up taking a long nap. I
decided it was too hot to do any more work outside. I did get an estimate done
for a possible job over in Tampa Bay country. This morning Cheri got a beef
roast going in the crockpot to have for supper. Then she took Grandma for her
lab appointment and a trip to the bank. Thank you God for a good day.

Another month has slipped
away and the year is half over. For the most part Cheri and I spent a pretty
quiet day. Grandma went to church with us. It was a celebration of America and
how our country was set up from the bible. Pastor Randy had a very interesting
message. Sunday school was very good as we were studying 2 Samuel 9:1-13. God
is honored when we extend kindness to others. This afternoon Cheri read and
napped and I watched the NASCAR race and napped. We are both still tired from
our trip. Late this afternoon we met Ron & Sandy and Mike & Pam at
Pizza Hut for supper and visiting. It is time for us to look for another place
for a meal and visiting as Pizza Hut was really bad. Ron and Sandy’s pizza came
out over baked and wasn’t suitable to eat and ours was under cooked. A hard
rain came through while we were eating and received another inch. Thank you God
for a day spent with you and Christian friends.

Cheri and I were at
Sunrise Eatery a little pass 7:00 am for breakfast. It was good to be back for
our Saturday morning breakfast together. Cheri said that she had no plans for
today so it will be interesting to see what she does. I make some phone calls
to see about checking out some additional jobs. While waiting for some call
backs I went to Lowe’s to get some materials for and attic door I will be doing
next week. Before I got home I received call backs so headed to Tampa Bay
country to check them out. The first stop was for measurements for the attic
door. Next was to see about doing a plumbing project to get water to a refrigerator
on the patio. Next was to check out a couple of roofs over signs that need to
be replace. On the way home it rained so hard that it was hard to see to drive.
My last stop was back at Lowe’s to price out materials for the sign roofs. I
have to submit an estimate for the project. When I got home Cheri said that she
went to Walgreens to have some photos printed and then made a batch of chocolate
chip cookies. I checked the rain gauge and we received another inch today.
