Our day started like every
other Saturday with a trip to Hole in One donut shop for breakfast. It was
closer to 7:30 am when we arrived. When we got home I went to work outside
before it got too hot. Mike and Kathy are leaving next week for the summer and
gave us a potted flower they planted a couple of week ago and don’t think it
would make it through the summer without water. So I went and dug it up and
transplanted it in one of our big flower pots, looks nice and already has a lot
of blooms on it. Then I built a window screen for Barbara to put in her sky
light. After I got done with it I took it over to her place and found that it
didn’t fit so back home and rebuilt it. Cheri was busy working in her sewing
room and had called Pam to see how they were doing and Pam told Cheri that tile
on the front of their kitchen counter was coming off. So Cheri and I went over
to see if I could fix it. I was able to get some glue in behind it and press it
back in place. I added some tape to hold in in place while the glue dried, have
to wait a couple of days to see if it worked. When we got home it was already
up into the 80’s so we took the rest of the day off reading and watching TV. We
did venture out later this evening to Calver’s to have a concrete mixer which
we were disappointed with as it didn’t have any flavor. Thank you God for
working with us through our projects.

My day started at 6:10 am
leaving for my accountability group breakfast and Bible study in Dade City. We
were studying Ephesians 4:20-32. After reading this you would have thought it
was written a few days ago instead of over 2,000 years ago. Cheri was busy with
the Friday laundry, going to the bank, getting groceries and medicine for
Grandma, and working in her sewing room. I had a 9:30 am appointment to repair
ten window locks that wouldn’t lock, repair a floor outlet, and repair water
heater wiring. Then this afternoon I worked at a place here in the park caulking
a shower, clean bathroom fan vents, change smoke detector batteries, and hang a
mail box. It was 4:00 pm when I got done with all the projects. While I was
taking a shower Cheri was preparing a supper of ribeye steak along with a baked
potato. Just another evening with the TV and some reading. Thank you God for a
blessed day.

I had a 9:30 am
appointment over in Tampa Bay country. Had to change an air filter and hang a clock.
While I was in Tampa Bay country I stopped to see how Bob was doing. Then a
stop at Don & Dee’s as they have some work that needs to be done and will
start that on Monday. On the way home I stopped at church to take some measurements
on face wood around the door that needs to be replaced. When I got back to the
park I stopped at Barbara’s has she had a new roof done with new skylights and
wants me to do something that will darken them some as she says too much light
is coming in. I got all of this done and was home by 12:30 pm. This afternoon I
went to Wal-Mart to pick up Jean’s tire that I took to be repaired yesterday.
Also stopped at Lowe’s to get the materials I will need Monday. When I got back
home I installed the tire on Jean’s car. Then decided to go and get a haircut
and take the truck though the carwash as it was really covered with love bugs
that I collected today. Cheri was busy with laundry, ironing, and spending time
in her sewing room. Cheri fixed baked chicken wrapped with bacon along with Tater
tots for supper. Just another evening of TV which I was able to say awake to
watch. Thank you God for helping us though another day.

I was back to work on the
flooring project at 9:00 am. By noon all the flooring was down. Still needed to
do all the transition strips but first time to go home for lunch. When I got
home Cheri was out washing the love bugs off the car. Yep it is love bug season
again which last around two to three weeks. I never knew what love bugs where
until I moved to Florida. If you don’t get them off the car right away they can
stain the paint. After lunch I headed back to the floor project and got the transition
strips installed. Another happy customer. It was 3:00 pm when I got home and
unloaded the truck with the tools I done need for tomorrow’s project. Then I
went next door to remove a flat tire from Jean’s car and took it to Wal-Mart to
be repaired which will be ready to pick up tomorrow. From Wal-Mart I took the
car through the carwash. Cheri spent most of her day in the sewing room. We had
left over roast beef in gravy over toast for supper. Spent the evening in front
of the TV. Most of our shows are done for the season, time to do some channel surfing
to find something to watch. Thank you God for a blessed day and all the guidance
you provided for us.

I was back working on my
flooring project today. I didn’t get as much done today. It took a lot of time
laying the flooring in the hallway and cutting around four doors, lots of extra
cuts. Yes I did make some wrong cuts and would have to start over again. But by
4:00 pm the hallway was done and got a start on the dining room. Cheri was busy
with her Tuesday house work, going out to pay Grandma’s rent, and Jean came
over for a visit. We had leftover roast beef for supper. The evening was spent
watching TV and I actually stayed awake to watch, well mostly. Thank you God
for a blessed day.
