First I want to wish Cheri a very happy birthday who is the love of my life. We were up early getting all the furniture that we could move out of the house and the rest moved to the center of the rooms and covered. Nikki fixed us scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast and then it was back to work. We covered all the floors with tarps and paper. Next was to remove all the molding from the dining room. Cheri said that it was DEMO DAY. So we started removing the plaster and quit when we ran out of contractor bags for the plaster. Can only put about fifty pounds in a bag so we can handle them. For the little bit we did we had five bags. Nikki was going to have a small dumpster delivered but was going to cost over $400 so we are putting two of the bags in her trash container and see if the they take it tomorrow as Friday is trash pickup day. We worked on getting some of the lath removed. We quit at 4:00 pm and got cleaned up so we could got out for dinner to celebrate Cheri’s birthday. We eat at Sunset Shores which looks out over the lake. Cheri and I had prime rib and Nikki had pork chops. After dinner we headed over to Menard’s to get paint, garbage bags, and to check out kitchen back splash tiles. When we got home Cheri and I were both really tired and decided to call it a night. Thank you God for a productive day helping Nikki with her house.

Our day started with breakfast at the motel where we stayed. Being we were only going to travel 500 miles today we weren’t in any hurry to get on the road. So it was 7:30 am when we left Adairsville Ga. Traffic was on the heavy side but moved well until we got to Chattanooga and then slowed as we were right at the end of rush hour traffic. Our next slowdown was in Nashville which is always a problem as they have several major highways coming together. The next slowdown was entering Kentucky where we had at least a four mile back up of stop and go traffic. When we finally to where the problem was it was one man on the back of a trailer with a tar gun filling the crack in the middle of the highway that runs between the two lanes. That back up cost us at least 45 minutes. We got an extra hour because of the time zone, so we keep on going past our stopping point for the day. We ended up getting to Nikki’s at 8:00 pm. We were both tired but glade to be here and had good weather. We drove 986 miles today. Thank you God for the safe travels.

I headed to my accountability breakfast and bible study at 7:15 am. After that I went over to Larry and Denise’s house to check it out and everything looks ok. As soon as I got home Cheri and I finished packing the truck and was on the road at 9:00 am heading for Fond du Lac Wisconsin. Traffic was very light and move well until we got about 30 miles south of Atlanta and then things slowed up but kept moving. We arrived in Adairsville Ga around 5:30 pm. and staying at the Hampton Inn. We put on a little over 500 miles today. We still have 872 miles to go. Thank you God for giving us good weather and safe travels.

I had a 9:00 am appointment to install a new ceiling fan. I was back home by 11:30 am. Cheri had just got home from working in the Sunday school kitchen. Her and a few other ladies worked on getting things into the new kitchen cabinets. They also were able to get rid of a lot of old things that weren’t needed any longer. After lunch I took the truck in for an oil change. They said that it would take an hour and a half before it would be done but got it done in an hour. When I got home Cheri was packing for our trip to Wisconsin. We are going to be doing some remolding for our daughter Nikki. I had all the tools laid out that I want to take so I started by cleaning out the truck cab and then loading all the tools in the truck bed. This evening we met Mike and Pam to have supper with them at Beef O Brady’s. We had a good visit with them and told us about their trip to Kentucky to see the Ark and watch their grandson Mason play basketball. And then their stop in Charleston SC. After out visit we headed over to Wal-Mart to pick up groceries and medicine for Grandma. It was after 7:00 pm when we got home. Cheri and I were both tired and didn’t last long trying to watch TV before calling it a night. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor Randy’s message was “How do I respond to God’s Will” from James 4:15-17. Our Sunday school lesson was “Diligent” from 2 Timothy 2:14-26. Believers find truth and direction by studying God’s word. We were home by 1:00 pm. We spent the afternoon in front of the TV. We watched an old John Wayne movie along with a couple other movies. I also watched the NASCAR race. We had our normal Sunday evening of pizza for supper. We heard some thunder in the distance but never received any rain. Thank you God for a blessed day spending time with you and Christian friends.
