Gay July-31-19

Our day started with breakfast at the motel where we stayed.
Being we were only going to travel 500 miles today we weren’t in any hurry to
get on the road. So it was 7:30 am when we left Adairsville Ga. Traffic was on
the heavy side but moved well until we got to Chattanooga and then slowed as we
were right at the end of rush hour traffic. Our next slowdown was in Nashville
which is always a problem as they have several major highways coming together.
The next slowdown was entering Kentucky where we had at least a four mile back
up of stop and go traffic. When we finally to where the problem was it was one
man on the back of a trailer with a tar gun filling the crack in the middle of
the highway that runs between the two lanes. That back up cost us at least 45
minutes. We got an extra hour because of the time zone, so we keep on going
past our stopping point for the day. We ended up getting to Nikki’s at 8:00 pm.
We were both tired but glade to be here and had good weather. We drove 986
miles today. Thank you God for the safe travels.
