Gay April-27-08

It looked like rain when we got up; I checked the radar and could see it would soon be on us. We quickly closed up the 5th wheel before it started to rain. We were on the road by 9:00 am. We stopped in Mobile, Alabama to see and tour the USS Alabama battle ship. It is the largest ship I have ever been on. The big guns are 16 inchers and could shoot 21 miles. It took us three hours to do the tour. We drove in rain most of the day and some so hard we could hardly see the road. Cheri found a campground for us to stop at; the book said it was just off the highway. It turned out to be 6 miles and when we got there it didn’t look very good so we turned around and left. It looked like red neck country. We are spending the night in Canton, Mississippi, 20 miles north of Jackson. We had to set up in the rain, not fun. I have uploaded some pictures of the USS Alabama.
