No rain today and a very nice day with a high of 70 degrees. It was a little cool for the morning walk at 47 degrees. I called Bud this morning to see if he wanted to go for a motorcycle ride today. He said let’s do it and so we headed out to New Port Richey. We stopped at the Harley dealer where Bud found a different seat for his bike. He plans on ordering it when he gets back up north this spring. From there we headed north along the coast and stopped at a Burger King for lunch. Then farther north to Bayport which was right on the water. We thought it was going to be a nice little town, turned out to be a small park with a fishing pier and a few houses. Then it was time to head home by way of all the back roads we could find. It was a 136 mile ride. We arrived home around 4:00 pm. Cheri met me at the door and said that her quilt was done and wanted to go and get it. So we jumped in the truck and off we go to Dade City. The quilt turned out very nice. Now Cheri has to work on the binding. I will post some pictures of it when she gets the binding on. When we did our evening walk we stopped by Grandma’s and plugged in the new heart monitor that she has to wear for three days. We plan on starting that tomorrow. We also stopped to see Ken & Eileen but they weren’t home.

It was raining when we got up this morning so we didn’t get our morning walk done. I took Cheri over to Orlando to shop at the Coldwater Creek Outlet store. It is an all lady’s clothing store. While she was there I went across the highway to the Bass Pro Shop. It was fun just looking around at all the things that they have for sale. I did buy a pair of New Balance 608 shoes that were on sale for $39.00. I was on my way back to Coldwater Creek when I got a call from Cheri saying she was done. I was surprised that she was done shopping already. I even brought along my book to read while I waited for her. She said she didn’t find anything she wanted. So we headed for home and arrived around 2:30 pm. Cheri fixed a late lunch which turned out to be an early supper of her left over pulled pork from yesterday. I watched the last quarter of the NASCAR Race while Cheri read. Around 4:30 pm we took an early evening walk. We stopped by to see how Grandma was doing. Then we saw Ken & Eileen at the post office. So it was around 5:30 pm before we got home.

After church we took the long way home so we could stop at a road side stand that does barbeque smoked ribs, pulled pork and chicken. Grandma got the chicken dinner, Cheri got the pulled pork and I got the ribs. We took the dinners back to Grandma’s place to eat. It sure was good. We didn’t get a chance to have any of the road side food last year. We remembered how good it was from two years ago. Around 1:00 pm Cheri and I headed out in the rain to Lowe’s to get some chalking for the shower and then to Wal-Mart for a few things. When we got home I went to work on the shower. We had a small leak around the base of the shower stall. As it turned out I had to remove all the old chalking. The small quick job turned out to be a three hour job. Well I hope the problem is solved. Then we settled in to watch the NASCAR Race only to find out that it had been rained out. We tried to watch another show we had recorded, that didn’t work as we both took a nap. Hey it was raining out and the sound of the rain on the roof just put us to sleep. It did quit raining long enough so we could do our evening walk. We stopped by Ken & Eileen’s to make sure they were OK. Then home for a couple of games of Five Crown that Cheri won. Neither of us was hungry from our big dinner so we ended up having strawberry short cake for supper. After we got in bed it started raining again.

It was foggy with heavy dew this morning when we walked so after our morning walk I went to work and washed the 5th wheel. I figured it would be a good time to do as everything was wet and it would be easier to clean. I got done around 11:00 am. Cheri went over to Grandma’s to get her fitted with the heart monitor that she has to wear for three days. When I got there Cheri had everything done and was waiting until 12:00 pm so we could call the place that does the monitoring. Well after several tries it wouldn’t work. So we have to send it back and wait for them to send us another one. This afternoon we left at 2:15 pm to take Ron to the airport in St Petersburg. There was a lot of traffic but it move along without any problems. We were back home by 4:30 pm. I got the grill out and did some New York Strip steaks. Cheri fixed some baked potatoes to go along with the steak and strawberry shortcake for dessert. After supper we headed down town to the car show. It was very nice and saw some cars we had never seen before. We were back home by 8:00 pm and settled in for an evening of TV. After the fog burned off this morning it got up to 78 degrees with a lot of sun.

Things are pretty wet around here this morning from the rain last night. I was going to put the new rock guard on the 5th wheel but the ground was too wet to be crawling around under the trailer. So I got out the backup camera monitor and put it in the truck getting ready for the summer trip. I am trying to figure out why the picture isn’t stable when viewing it on the monitor. I miss around with it for a couple of hours. I think I need to relocate the antennas on the 5th wheel and the truck. So now I need to get an extension cable for the truck antenna. Cheri did her house cleaning and a load of laundry. Ken, Eileen and Ron stopped over for a short visit. Ron wanted to see what time we had to leave for the airport tomorrow. Hard to believe Ron has been here two weeks. We had Dean & Betty over this evening to play dominos. It was a very enjoyable evening. The weather this morning was overcast but late morning the sun came out and had a very nice day with a high of 78 degrees.

It was another very nice day with a high of 76 degrees. We had a nice walk this morning because it was already warm out. We were kind a slow getting around this morning after the long day yesterday, seemed nice to just relax and take our time. At 10:00 am we picked up Ron and went to the flea market out by the airport (also got to see sky divers come down). Each time we go there are more vendors. Cheri bought a t-shirt with a picture of a cardinal on it and a necklace and bracelet. On the way out we stopped and bought a half of a flat of strawberries for $4.00 and a bag of tangerines for $2.00. On the way home we stopped for lunch at Butch’s Seafood Shack for their famous Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches. Ron had his first Philly Cheese Steak sandwich last Saturday at the car show. So we thought he should have another one while he is here. After we dropped off the strawberries and tangerines at the 5th wheel we headed over to Publix’s to get some groceries. They had a lot of thing on sale where you could get two for the price of one. So we took advantage of the sale and stocked up on a few things. After we got home and put the groceries away we walked over to see how Grandma was doing. When we got home Cheri finished her laundry and fixed supper and for dessert we had strawberry short cake. We stopped by Ken and Eileen’s on our evening walk to see how Ken is doing. He has been doing therapy on his shoulder along with exercise for it. He was in some pain and had an ice pack on it. It started to rain before we left so Ron gave us a ride home.

By 7:50 am we were on the road headed to the Great Outdoors RV Resort (1500 RV sites from concrete pads to complete houses with motor home ports attached) in Titusville to see friends from our 2008 Alaskan tour. Three of the couples we saw at the Alaskan Rally in January, but the other couple we hadn’t seen since the end of the tour in Alaska. The couples were Dave & Bunny, Bill & Lynda, Steve & Del, and Bub & Sandy. We got to The Great Outdoors at 10:00 am. We stopped by Bill & Lynda’s for a visit and then to the restaurant for lunch with everybody. We had a good time seeing everyone. After lunch we went to Steve and Del’s place which was very nice. It is one of the homes with the attached motor home port. From there we went to visit with Dave & Bunny. Then it was time to go over to Bub & Sandy’s for strawberry short cake that Bill & Lynda provided, Around 6:30 pm Dave & Bunny, Bill & Lynda and us headed for the Corky Bell for supper The Corky Bell is a seafood restaurant. The fish was fresh and delicious. At 8:00 pm we headed for home and arrived around 10:15 pm. It was a wonderful warm and sunny day to spend with friends.

I didn’t wake up this morning until 6:45 am. I can’t remember when I slept in that late. We didn’t do our morning walk because I had to be ready to leave on our motorcycle ride at 9:00 am. The temp was 54 degrees and overcast when we left. The sun did finally come out around noon. Bud and I had two other couples on the ride with us. One couple each had their own bike and the other couple was in the rat rod. We made a stop at the Harley dealer in Crystal River and then rode onto Cedar Key for lunch. Cedar Key is an old town of about 700 people right on the gulf. It was 6:00 pm when we got home. The trip was 254 miles, the longest trip so far this year. Cheri worked all day on the sheers for Grandma’s bedroom.

I had my yearly physical this morning and then over to a new doctor to get paper work to fill out for a new patient. I have to have a colonoscopy as it has been 6 years since the last one. Do I have any volunteers to have it done for me? Cheri worked all day on Grandma’s bedroom sheers. Because of the size of the windows the new ones have to be cut down and hemmed. We went to Chili’s for lunch so Cheri could have a break. We once again had their soup and salad which is one of our favorites. This afternoon I checked the shower and it was still leaking so I took the drain all apart and redid it. Now there are no more leaks. It was a tough job because it was hard to get to. I think I had my body all twisted like a pretzel and I am too old for that. On our evening walk we stopped by Ken & Eileen for a short visit to see how Ken was doing. Cheri had to be home in time to see Dancing with the Stars. As far as the weather today it was very windy and mostly cloudy with a high of 64 degrees.

Wow the first day of spring. Let’s see April showers brings May flowers. Well down here it March showers brings April flowers.Yep it’s raining today. We didn’t have any plans for today except I planned to watch the NASCAR Race. We did our morning walk as we had time this morning because we went to church here in the park today as they were having a memorial service for all the people that had passed away last year that lived in the park. Grandma picked us up as it was raining when we got ready to leave for church. Cheri fixed left over corn beef and cabbage for lunch and for supper we had Ruben sandwiches, both were very good. This afternoon we had a lot of thunder and lighting, but never got much rain. It was just enough that you couldn’t be outside to do anything. So we stayed in and did nothing. What a nice relaxing day. Coz and Nikki called us to see how we were doing and they said that last week the weather in Wisconsin was nice in warm.

Today was a perfect day weather wise in the neighborhood. It was still dark out when we got back from our morning walk. After breakfast I went to work on installing the Electrical Management System that I bought at the RV show back in January. I had been waiting for a nice day to install it because I figured it would be an all day job and sure enough it was. Cheri had to help me fish the wire up through the wall for the monitor. The unit I installed is the EMS-HW50C. It monitors for high and low voltage and will shut down if it gets too high or low. It also checks the line for opens, shorts and reversals. It is also a surge protector. While I was installing the unit I found that we had a leak around the shower drain, so I got that tighten up and will keep an eye on it to make sure it’s not leaking anymore. Cheri went to get her hair cut this morning and was back in a short time. She said that the girl that she likes to cut it wouldn’t be in until 2:00 pm. So at 1:45 pm she headed back to get it cut and still had to wait an hour more. At 4:00 pm Ron, Cheri and I headed to Pant City for the car show. It was a great show and we estimated that there were over 300 cars. I think the reason for so many is it is the first nice Saturday we have had for the car show. On the way back we stopped by the airport to see the skydivers come down. Ron said he had never seen anything like it. It was nice that he got to see them and it was the last jump for the day. It was 8:15 pm by the time we got home. It was another wonderful day in the neighborhood.

Today was a perfect day as far as the weather goes no wind and a high of 76 degrees. Eileen called this morning and told us that Ron broke his glasses and needed to go to Lakeland to get them fixed. She wanted to know if we would drive them down and we would stop to have Chinese for lunch. We couldn’t pass that up. Well when we got there they couldn’t fix his glasses. The frame was broke at the nose bridge. He called his wife Sue to have her overnight his other glasses down here. I told Ron I could fix them to use until he got the ones Sue was sending. After a great meal of Chinese we headed home. I took a wire splicer and cut it down and slipped over the nose bridge of Ron’s glasses and crimped it. So now Ron can wear his glasses, the nose bridge looks a little funny but now he can see again. When we got home I worked on installing the new flag pole mount on the 5th wheel hitch. The old one got broke from the strong wind we had a couple of weeks ago. I had tried to find one like the old one so I wouldn’t have to drill new holes, no luck on that. I just got done with that when Paul and Bev came down with a bunch of food that they gave us as they are leaving bright and early in the morning. We had a nice visit and decide to go out for supper. We were going to Ron’s New York Deli. It was closed and didn’t look that good so we went to Mainely New England restaurant and had their Friday night fish fry. It was the best fish fry we have ever had in Florida. I guess we will be going back again. When we got home we said our good byes to Paul & Bev, we sure are going to miss them as we did almost everything with them.

This morning Cheri and I went over to Grandma’s to work. I sprayed around the inside of the trailer for bugs and put out some new roach traps. Then we started the spring cleaning. We washed down the bedroom and vacuumed. Grandma washed the curtains and hung them out to dry. Then Cheri and I went to Wal-Mart to pick up Grandma’s medicine and back to Grandma’s to put the curtains back up. After lunch I took Grandma’s van over to Wal-Mart to have the oil changed. I did a little shopping and reading while I waited for it to get done. The weather is still on the crazy side. At 6:00 pm I checked the weather and it was 61 degrees here and 63 degrees in Wisconsin. It was very windy again today and had to have a jacket on to be comfortable outside. Paul and Bev came down to play dominos this evening. It was our last time to play as they are leaving and heading back to Canada Saturday.

We are gradually getting back into our routine of walking in the morning and evenings. With the time change it is really dark when we walk in the mornings now. We were pretty slow getting around today as we didn’t have to be anywhere this morning. We left here at 11:00 am and headed to Camping World to meet Bill & Lynda for lunch a couple of games of dominos. It was nice to see them again. We had lunch at Bob Evan’s which was very good. We got home around 5:45 pm. We see Paul and Bev were home so we stopped for a short visit on our way over to Dean & Betty’s for an evening of visiting and dominos. It was 10:45 pm before we got home.

Cheri left at 8:45 am to take Grandma for her stress test. It was a two part nuclear test. So they got to come home for lunch and then back to the doctor’s office for the rest of the x-rays. Cheri went to Wal-Mart to pick up medicine and a few things for Grandma. It was after 2:00 pm before Cheri got home. I on the other hand had a fun day. Bud and I left for a 135 mile motorcycle ride. It was only 51 degrees when we left, so it was another day of wearing chaps and a heavy coat with cold weather gloves. We headed down to Brandon to the Harley dealer. Then we headed for Fort Meade where we eat lunch. Then we headed back to Lakeland and made a stop at the Harley dealer there. From there we headed home and arrived around 3:30 pm. Cheri and I did our evening walk early and made a stop at Ken & Eileen’s. They are both doing much better today in fact Ron took them out for a ride today. When we got home I got the grill out and did some brats. Boy did they taste good as it has been a while since we have had any.

We picked up Grandma at 8:00 am and headed down to the Rec Hall for their monthly breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, French toast, strawberries, orange juice, and coffee, all for $3.50. Plus you can have all the pancakes you want to eat. We got two take out breakfasts for Ken & Roger. At 9:00 am I went down to see Bud about doing a motorcycle ride. He said he was just getting over a cold. So we made plans to ride tomorrow. Then I went down to the bull pen to help take apart the float that Baker Acers had in the parade last Saturday. Cheri did some cleaning and laundry. This afternoon I did some work for Bonnie our next door neighbor. The down spout was loose on her trailer. So Cheri and I went over to Lowe’s to get some repair parts. Then back to Bonnie’s to fix the down spout. Cheri visited with Bonnie while I put a new light switch in the bathroom, put the batteries in Mel’s electric wheel chair and put on the charger. It was another very windy day and cool enough that I needed a light jacket to work in. This evening we were up to Paul & Bev’s to play dominos. We guys had all the luck tonight.

We went down to Ken & Eileen’s at 8:00 am to get Ken dressed for the day and Cheri fixed breakfast for him. Eileen was feeling better this morning but decide to stay in bed a while longer. We picked up Grandma, Ed & Loraine at 9:15 for church. After we got home from church we headed back down to Ken & Eileen’s to see about lunch. Cheri fixed them a can of chicken noodle soup along with some crackers as their stomachs had not settled down from being sick. We visited with them until about 1:00 pm and then went home and ordered in our usual Sunday’s Papa John’s pizza for lunch. Around 2:00 pm we got a call from Nata & Norm Lewis. They invited us to go with them to their church this evening to see the Hobe Sound Bible College singers. It was a group of 45 young college men and women singers. They did a wonderful collection of biblical songs. We enjoyed it very much. At 8:00 pm we went down to see how Ken & Eileen were doing. We left at 9:15 pm to go to St Petersburg airport to pick up Ron (Ken & Eileen’s son) His plane arrived at 11:20 pm. He will be here for two week to help out with Ken & Eileen. By the time we got home and ready for bed it was after 1:00 am. It made for a long day. It was partly sunny today with a high in the low 60’s and very windy.

It warm and very windy today with high in the mid 70’s and still need a jacket because the wind made it cold. At 8:45 am we went down to Ken & Eileen’s. I took Eileen for her hair appointment while Cheri stayed with Ken. He is doing much better today, more awake and talkative. We got home around 11:30 am and went up to visit with Paul & Bev. Their son and his family are coming today. They will be here for two or three days and then going to their condo over near Cape Kennedy. At 2:30 pm we took our table settings down to the Rec Hall to get a table for the Pot Luck at 5:00 pm. Then we stopped by Dean & Betty’s for a visit as it has been a while since we have seen them. We just got home when Eileen called and said she was sick and throwing up. So we went down to see what we could do to help and also went and picked up a few things from Wal-Mart for them. We got down to the Pot Luck supper right a 5:00 pm. We fixed a plate of food and took it up to Ken & Eileen’s. Eileen was sleeping and Ken was awake, so he sat down and ate his supper. When we got back to the Pot Luck our table had already been called so we grabbed our plates and got in line. We got home from the Pot Luck around 6:15 pm and then it was back to Ken & Eileen’s at 7:00 pm to get Ken ready for bed. Eileen was still sleeping and we tried not to disturb her. She did wake up before we left and Cheri helped her get ready for bed. We were back home and settled in for the evening by 8:00 pm.

Rain, rain, rain when we got up, all day and when we went to bed. Along with all the rain yesterday I think most of Florida must be under water. The good news is it’s supposed to be a great weekend with lots of sunshine. We got a call from Eileen at 6:00 am saying she couldn’t wake up Ken. So we went right down and found him asleep. We had a hard time getting him awake and then he wasn’t making any sense when we talked to him. We were worried because he was so sick yesterday. So we called the ambulance to come and take him to the hospital. When they arrived he started to make more sense. After a while he seemed to be better and didn’t go as his vital signs were good. I went right away to pick up a prescription to help settle his stomach so he could keep some food down without throwing up. After taking the pill he went back to sleep. Cheri went home to get cleaned up and then came back so I could go home and get cleaned up. I went back down and we stayed for a while so Eileen could get some rest. Then Cheri and I went out to Chili for a late lunch of salad and soup which was very good. On the way back we stopped by Grandma’s to see how she was doing. Then back down to Ken & Eileen’s to make sure Ken took his pill and to see how he was doing. Then we went home and tried to watch some TV. Not much luck on watching TV as we both fell asleep. After an hour’s nap we both felt better. At 7:00 pm we headed back down to Ken & Eileen’s. Ken was awake and talkative which was a good thing. Eileen said that he had some chicken broth for supper and was able to keep it down. I got Ken undress and in his pajamas. Ken said he was hungry and wanted some solid food. Cheri fixed him some pancakes. He eats one of them and said that he felt better. Cheri got the dishes cleaned up and we headed home. It was 8:30 pm by the time we got home and settled in for the evening.

It was one long day with a hard rain all day. Cheri took Grandma for an appointment with the heart doctor at 1:00 pm. She has to go back for a stress test next Tuesday and has to wear a heart monitor for three days. I took Ken for his doctor appointment at 1:15 pm to have is shoulder checked. Will he got sick while we were there and had to go from there to a different doctor to have checked out and didn’t get home until 5:00 pm. So it was a long day for all of us. We went out to eat this evening with Paul & Bev to celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary. When we got back we play one game of dominos which Cheri and Bev won (so what’s new).

Cheri didn’t have a good night; she said that she had been awake since 3:00 am. We had our morning walk in and went to Wal-Mart for groceries and were back home before 7:30 am. Cheri did some laundry and took it easy the rest of the day. Bud and I left at 9:45 am for a motorcycle ride. It was already in the mid 60’s when we left. We headed south to Anna Maria Island near Bradenten. We had a lot of stop and go traffic to get out on the island. We rode to the north end and eat lunch at the Historic Anna Maria City Pier. It was built in 1910. It is a very popular place and we thought we would have to wait, but got right in to eat. We also made a stop at the Harley dealer where Bud and I both bought long sleeve shirts. The trip home was uneventful, with a total trip of 187 miles. After supper we did our evening walk and stopped to help Ken & Eileen with a few things then up to Paul and Bev’s for an evening of dominos. It was another perfect day with a high of 83 degrees and partly cloudy.

We stopped by Ken & Eileen’s after our morning walk to get Ken dress and his shoes on. We also did a few other things for them. Then it was home for breakfast, coffee and cleaned up for another day. Around 9:00 am I took garbage up to the dumpster and then stopped to see how Grandma was doing and then to the post office to mail a letter. The weather for the day was overcast and threatened rain this forenoon and finally did get some sun later this afternoon. Bill & Lynda came to see us today. We went over to Golden Corral for lunch and then back to the 5th wheel for a couple of game of dominos. It was nice enough to play outside on the picnic table. Bill & Lynda headed home around 5:30 pm. No supper tonight because of the big lunch we had. Of course there was room for ice cream later in the evening. At 7:00 pm we were back at Ken & Eileen’s to get Ken ready for bed and to fill the humidifier.

Today we got back into our usual routine, starting with our morning walk. It was a very nice day with a high of 71 degrees. I had planned to go for a motorcycle ride with Bud today. When I checked to see about a ride he said he was in the middle of a project changing water pipes and hot water heater. So this am we went to check on Ken & Eileen. We did a few things to help them out. After lunch Cheri and I took a short motorcycle ride as it was a beautiful day. We made a stop at Radio Shack to get a new battery for Ken & Eileen’s cordless phone. I had looked on line and they were only $8.00 which was a little high but thought I would pick one up. Well when we got there they wanted $17.00 for one. That is over a 100% mark up. We then went to Home Depot and Big Lots as I am still looking for a flag mount like the old one so I wouldn’t have to drill new holes, no luck so I guess I will use the one I bought at Lowe’s and drill new holes. While we were in Big Lots I found a new cordless phone for $17.00, so I bought it for Ken & Eileen. Sure beats buying a battery for the old one when you can a new phone for the same price. Early evening we went down to Ken & Eileen’s to drop off the phone and help Ken get ready for bed. Then it was up to Paul & Bev’s for dominos, the girls won both games.

Cheri and I went down to check on Ken this morning before we went to church. Then at 9:15 am we picked up Grandma, Burl & Dorothy, Ed & Loraine and headed for church. It wasn’t a good day in church for me. I forgot to turn off my cell phone and of course it had to ring during the service and no place to hide. I wanted to say it was God calling, but thought I better not. After church we dropped of Ed & Loraine and Grandma. We took Burl & Dorothy out to the flea market by the airport. They each made a purchase. Then we went back and picked up Grandma and went to Golden Corall for dinner. After dinner we rode over to the airport to watch the sky divers. Then we stopped to watch the gliders take off and then over to see the ultralite trikes. Cheri talked Burl into going for a ride. He wasn’t too sure about going at first. He really enjoyed doing it. Then it was back to Grandma’s to visit while Cheri & I went home to down load and print the pictures we took for Burl & Dorothy. Burl & Dorothy left and headed back to their motel to rest up as they are heading back to Wisconsin in the morning. We went down to Ken & Eileen’s to see if there was anything we needed to do for them. We only stayed a short time as Cheri and I were both tied from the full day of activities.

I checked in on Ken this morning. Eileen had given Ken a sponge bath and needed help to put his arm back in the sling. I also helped get his leg brace and shoes on. On the way back to the 5th wheel I drop off their garbage at the dumpster. We met Burl & Dorothy at Grandma’s at 9:30 am. I drove Burl & Dorothy’s car and the five of us went down to the power plant by Tampa to see the Manatees. Because the weather is still cold there were a lot of them near the power plant discharge. Burl & Dorothy and Cheri made a trip through the museum while I waited outside in the sun with Grandma. Then Dorothy and Cheri had to stop in the gift shop. From there we headed to the Roaring 20’s for pizza. It is the home of the Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ. The organ is powered by a 20 horse power Spencer Blower which supplies air for the 2,456 organ pipes and percussions. The largest pipe is 16 feet long and 14 inches in diameter. The smallest is the size of a pencil. The organ with all its pipes is an assume view and great to hear Dwight Thomas play it. We left there around 2:30 pm and headed for Plant City by way of a different route and stopped to have strawberry shortcake for supper. Then we headed for home arriving around 6:00 pm. We dropped Grandma off at home. Dorothy dropped Cheri off and went back to the motel. Burl and I headed to Dade City to see the classic cars at the cruise in. A lot of the cars had already left, but still got to see around 50 or so. I dropped Burl off at the motel and got home around 8:00 pm. It was a long day for all of us but also was a fun day with a lot of sunshine and a high temp near 70 degrees.

First thing is morning I went down to see how Ken was doing. He said the new pain pills made him sleepy. I am not sure that is that is it because he only took them one time. I told him to take them again to make sure that was the problem. I told Ken & Eileen they should have a hand sprayer in the shower. Ken said they had one and took it out some years ago and he said that he knew where it was. Will be looked for it and couldn’t find it. So I went to Lowe’s and bought one and installed it for them. It will make it much easier for Eileen to help Ken take a shower. At 11:00 am Cheri and I stopped by Grandma’s to see it Burl & Dorothy and Grandma wanted to follow us down to Pant City to have straw berry short cake for lunch. So that’s what we did, they picked Carol up on the way out of the park. The straw berry short cake was very good as usual. Burl, Dorothy, Grandma, and Carol headed back to Zephyrhills. Cheri and I went to the Strawberry Festival. We had a good time looking at all the crafts and venders. We took in the lumber jack show and were very funny. We also saw four other shows, Rick K & the all Nighters, Dennis Lee, Jay Taylor Band, and Julianne Hough from Dancing with the Stars. Julianne Hough put on a great show, we enjoyed it very much. The only bad thing was that the show was at 7:30 pm and it was cold and breezy watching it. It was 43 degrees outside when we got home, so you know it was cold watching the show. But she was worth it.

Today was a repeat of yesterday cool and windy. This morning I left at 9:15 am and went down to Ken & Eileen’s. Ken had an appointment to have stitches taken out of his face where he had surgery to remove a cancer spot. Then it was on to another doctor for a 10:45 am appointment to have the stitches taken out from his shoulder surgery. He has to keep his arm in the sling for four more weeks. He starts his therapy March 12th and has an appointment to go back to the doctor on April 1st. Eileen has an appointment tomorrow with a new doctor, so we went to see where she has to go and to pick up the paper work that she needs to fill out before the appointment. We couldn’t get the paper work because the doctor and staff are only in Zephyrhills on Friday. At least she knows where she has to go for her appointment. We got back home at about 12:30 pm. We needed to go to Wal-Mart to pick medicine for Ken and it wouldn’t be ready until 2:00pm. So I went up to Grandma’s where Cheri was visiting with Burl & Dorothy. After lunch I went back and picked up Eileen and we went over to Wal-Mart to get Ken’s medicine and some groceries. We were back home by 3:15 pm. I went back to Grandma’s to visit with Burl & Dorothy. Cheri left and went back to the 5th wheel and put together a pan of lasagna and brought it back to Grandma’s to cook for supper, also Texas garlic toast and peanut butter pie. It was very good as Cheri is a good cook. Burl & Dorothy left around 7:30 pm. We left and went down to Ken & Eileen’s with some lasagna and pie for them to have for lunch tomorrow. I also filled the humidifier for Eileen. We were back home by 8:30 pm to watch a little TV and called it a night.

It wasn’t too bad when we walked this morning, the temp was 43 degrees. Then when the sun came up the wind started and was very windy the rest of the day. Too windy to be outside to do any work. Late morning we went down to Ken & Eileen’s to check up on Ken. He was more alert and talkative today. From there we went up to see Grandma and let her know that Burl & Dorothy would get here late this afternoon. I figured they would get here sometime around 3:00 pm. At 5:30 pm we started to get worried about them. I went over and told Grandma that we hadn’t heard anything from them. When I got back home Burl had just called and were at the motel by Wal-Mart. So we picked up Grandma and headed for the motel. On the way back to Grandma’s with Burl & Dorothy we stopped at Abbey’s for some take out to eat at Grandma’s while we visited. At 7:00 pm Cheri and I went down to Ken & Eileen’s to get them settled in for the night. Then back to Grandma’s to visit and take Burl & Dorothy to the motel. We got home around 9:15 pm. We watched a little TV and called it a night.

It started raining around 4:00 am and didn’t quit until around 11:00 am. Then the wind came and stayed all day, it was just too windy to be out and about. We did venture out around 1:30 pm as Cheri had an appointment with the quilter to have her picture quilted. We made a stop at the new Staples’ store looking for a new flag pole mount, no luck. Then a stop at Publix’s to pick up a couple of things. When we got home we stopped down to see how Ken and Eileen were getting along now that Roger has gone back to Wisconsin. When we got home I made a block list on the computer and printed it out so Eileen could keep track of Ken’s pain medicine. They couldn’t remember if Ken had his pain medicine at 1:00 pm. Now all they have to do is mark off the time on the sheet I made. At 7:00 pm we headed down to Ken & Eileen’s to drop of the medicine sheet and get the humidifier filled and ready to go for the night. Then back home for an evening of TV.

Wow! The first day of March, hard to believe we have been here four months. Today was the most beautiful day we have had this year. We had a high of 78 degrees and no wind, plus sunshine and no clouds. We got around early as we were to be down to Ken & Eileen’s 8:30 am to stay with Ken while Roger took Eileen to her doctor’s appointment. We got a call from Eileen at 8:00 am saying that she could go by herself. So at 9:00 am Cheri and I went to the post office to mail our taxes. Then to Wal-Mart for groceries and to fill up Grandma’s van with gas. When we got home a friend of ours from Canada was loading up the fuel tank we had for sale. He decided to buy it and have a welder cut it down to fit his truck, glad to have it sold. Cheri took the van back over to Grandma’s and I went down to see if Roger wanted to wash Ken & Eileen’s park model. He thought that would be a good idea so I headed home and change my clothes. Got my washing equipment together and back to Ken & Eileen’s. While we were washing the park model Bud stopped by to see if I wanted to go for a motorcycle ride. It was hard to pass that up because it was such a beautiful day for riding, but I knew what had to be done. It was 4:00 pm before we got done with washing the park model. Cheri spent the afternoon once again going through all her material and planning her next sewing project. She wanted to get started on a new project but decided to wait because my aunt and uncle from Wisconsin are going to be here Wednesday for a few days. This evening we did our evening walk and stopped by Ken & Eileen’s to say good bye to Roger as he is leaving in the morning to head back home to Wisconsin. When we left to finish our evening walk we caught up to Paul & Bev to walk with. What a great day it was.

Today was pretty much like every other Sunday. Ed & Loraine picked us up for church at 9:15 am. Grandma went to church here in the park. When we got home I ordered pizza in from Pizza Hut for a change. It was very good, but I think Papa John’s is better. At 1:30 pm we stopped by to see how Ken was doing and found him about the same as yesterday. Then it was on to the Rec Hall for Bob & Diane’s 50th wedding anniversary party. We got home about 3:30 pm. I watched the NASCAR Race and Cheri read. The temp did get up to 60 degrees but was very windy.
