Gay Mar-19-10

Today was a perfect day as far as the weather goes no wind and a high of 76 degrees. Eileen called this morning and told us that Ron broke his glasses and needed to go to Lakeland to get them fixed. She wanted to know if we would drive them down and we would stop to have Chinese for lunch. We couldn’t pass that up. Well when we got there they couldn’t fix his glasses. The frame was broke at the nose bridge. He called his wife Sue to have her overnight his other glasses down here. I told Ron I could fix them to use until he got the ones Sue was sending. After a great meal of Chinese we headed home. I took a wire splicer and cut it down and slipped over the nose bridge of Ron’s glasses and crimped it. So now Ron can wear his glasses, the nose bridge looks a little funny but now he can see again. When we got home I worked on installing the new flag pole mount on the 5th wheel hitch. The old one got broke from the strong wind we had a couple of weeks ago. I had tried to find one like the old one so I wouldn’t have to drill new holes, no luck on that. I just got done with that when Paul and Bev came down with a bunch of food that they gave us as they are leaving bright and early in the morning. We had a nice visit and decide to go out for supper. We were going to Ron’s New York Deli. It was closed and didn’t look that good so we went to Mainely New England restaurant and had their Friday night fish fry. It was the best fish fry we have ever had in Florida. I guess we will be going back again. When we got home we said our good byes to Paul & Bev, we sure are going to miss them as we did almost everything with them.
