Gay Nov-1-11

It was pretty much a play day for Cheri and me. Cheri went to her first quilt class or maybe I should say quilt club that they are doing here in the park this winter. It is held on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. They work on their own project and learn and help each other. My play day was a 125 mile motorcycle ride with Bud Avery. It was our first ride this fall and the first day that we were both free to ride. We rode the back roads up to Leesburg and stopped at a building supply place that Bud wanted to check on paneling to remodel their bedroom. They pretty much had what he wanted, now he has to take Joyce up to see the colors of the paneling. Then we stopped at Mc Donald’s for lunch. We are back to our old ways to see how cheap we can be for our lunch, a chicken sandwich and a senior drink for $1.88. Then we headed over to the Harley dealer to check out the new bikes and everything that goes with them. We both dream what it would be like to have a new one all dressed out. Well if we can’t have one, it is still nice to dream. This evening Mike and Pam picked us up to go out for supper at a new place (don’t remember the name) where we met Ron and Sandy, good food and good fellowship. From there we headed to Ron and Sandy’s place for our Life Group meeting, more fellowship and learning more about God. It doesn’t get any better than that. We all need to slow down and smell the flowers that God has made and spend more time talking with God.
