Gay Jan-25-12

It was a perfect day for our motorcycle ride. There were only three of us Old Hogs today. Larry had to help his brother with some work and Gary was having a problem with his arm. So Bud, John, and I headed for Crystal River. It is one of my favorite rides here in Florida as it takes us through a lot of back roads, hills and lots of corners. We left at 10:00 am and arrived at the Harley dealer around 11:45 am. After looking around there for an hour, Bud bought a couple pieces of chrome for his bike. Then we headed to Burger King for lunch. After lunch and visiting for a while it was time to head for home. We made a stop about half way home for a rest and an ice cream bar. We made one final stop at the Florida National Cemetery. Riding through the Cemetery seeing all the crosses gives you a new respective of all the men and women that fought for our freedom. Everyone should have to visit one of our many National Cemeteries. While we were at the cemetery John set up his camera and tripod and took a timed picture of us three so we all could be in the picture. John e-mailed me the picture so I could add it to our blog. Our ride today was 153 miles. Cheri, Denise, and Bev headed out at 10:00 am to a fabric shop in Lakeland that they just found out about a couple of days ago. All three of them came home with some more fabric and sewing supplies. About 4:30 pm Cheri and I went to Wal-Mart to pick up Grandma’s and my medicine. There was a long line and I had waited for 30 minutes when I remembered that we have new drug insurance and had to go to a different line to get that taken care of before I could pick up my drugs. The lady I was standing in front of said she would hold my place in that line. Long story short she got to the counter for drugs before I got done giving them my insurance information. The insurance lady took care of me and had me go to the front of the drug pick up line. So all in all it took over an hour to get the drugs. Larry and Denise came up this evening to play cards.
