It was a very warm day and didn’t have to have a jacket on all day. We had a high temp in the high 70’s. It was still in the high 60’s at midnight. Kari had to go into Chicago to work at her girl friends dental office. Kari is helping her out one day a week and getting set up to hire a new receptionist. Cheri and I left at 10:00 am to go north (only twenty miles) to see Katherine and Bart Turk. Katherine’s parents and my parents where fiends for over 50 years and us kids have carried on the tradition. We had the best time telling stories of our parents and things that happened to all of us as we were growing up. Katherine made us a great lunch of soup and sandwich. Katherine’s sister Lilly came over. We taught them how to play Hand, Knee and Foot. Then we went out for dinner in Lake Geneva and then to Lilly’s place to play more Hand, Knee and Foot. Later in the evening we had fresh apple pie that Katherine made. It was a great day to spend with friends. I had said a few days back that we had taken some pictures of the Wisconsin fall colors, well here they are, click on this link https://picasaweb.google.com/sharpstravels then click on album: fall colors.
