Coz
and Nikki both left for work at 6:00 am. Coz is working overtime and will have
a shorter day of work and will be done at 2:30 pm. I took Cece to school this
morning which made it nice for Coz. Cheri and I went shopping this morning at
three different second hand stores. One of the stores was in Waupun and we each
found something we had to have. Cheri got some sewing kits and I got a jig saw,
a deal I couldn’t pass up. Then it was time to head onto Randolph to have lunch
with the girls we work with before we retired. It was fun catching up on what
has happened over the last year. Our next stop was Brandon; Cheri found out
that they have a quilt shop there now. So while she was in the quilt shop I
went to Brandon meats to get some beef sticks for snacking and pork chops to
have on the grill. Then we drove over to visit with old friends Doug and
Annette Henker. We had a nice visit with them and they told us that they have
their house up for sale as they aren’t able to keep up with all the outside
work anymore. They plan on moving to Waupun into a condo. Then it was time to
head back to Fond du Lac. Coz, Nikki, Cece, Cheri and I headed to Beaver Dam to
have Chinese for supper. It is one of the places we always go to eat when we
are in Wisconsin. Before we retired it was our favorite place to eat. When we
got back to Fond du Lac we stopped at Menard’s so Coz and Nikki could pick up a
new kitchen light fixture. The ballast burned out in the one they have and was
too expensive to replace so they bought a new one. So my project for tomorrow
is to install the new light fixture. After all was said and done it was time to
call it a night.
