Gay Oct-9-13

At
9:00 am it was time to say goodbye to Kari and head for Boscobel to see Dorothy
and Burl, my aunt and uncle. We tried to call them the last couple of days with
no answer so we headed in that direction to see if we could make contact later
in the day. We just got into Wisconsin when a coyote cross the road right in
front of us. Something you don’t see very often and he looked to be in great
shape. In fact the last one we saw was in Alaska last year. Our first stop was
at Barneveld to see Todd, a good friend that goes back more years than I can
count. We got to visit for a while and then he had an interview with a new
person for an opening he has for a mechanic. After the interview Todd was
really impressed with the guy and hired him on the spot. Then Todd, Cheri and I
went to the local restaurant for a late lunch. At 2:30 pm it was time to head
on down the road. We made one more call to see if Burl and Dorothy was home and
no luck there so we change our route and went to Richland Center to see Ken and
he wasn’t home so we drove across town to see Betty and she wasn’t home either.
Then we called Bruce and Jeanne in Friesland where we used to live. Bruce was
the contractor that built our new house 19 years ago and we remained good
friends over the years. We always try to see them when we are in Wisconsin.
After we had a good visit the four of us headed over to the local supper club
for chicken and dumplings. At 8:30 pm it was time to say goodbye to Bruce and
Jeanne and head for Coz and Nikki’s. It was another good day but sorry we
missed some of the people we wanted to see.
