Gay Sept-2-14

I started on project that
we have wanted to do since we moved here and that is to paint the cabinets in
the master bathroom. I started small by taking the door off the medicine
cabinet. I took it out to the shop and got it all sanded down and ready for
paint. Now comes the part that I am hoping will work. A while back I bought a
Wagner sprayer that I used on my tool cabinet. The plan was to use it to paint
the cabinet doors but after using it on the tool cabinet I knew it wouldn’t do
the job I wanted. So I bought an automotive paint sprayer to see if I could get
a good finish with it. In the directions it says it not for spaying latex
paint. But I did read some reviews that some people were able to spray latex
with it by thinning the paint with water. So I thinned the paint and tried it
on some cardboard and looked pretty good so I sprayed the back side of the
door. I must say it looked pretty good. But I did have a problem; my air
compressor doesn’t deliver enough air. I could only spray for a short time and then
had to wait for the air compressor to catch up. It was getting near noon and
had to quit and get ready to take Grandma for her B-12 doctor’s appointment at
1:15pm. When I got back home I check the door that I painted and I think if I
do a fine sanding on it and another coat of paint it will be ok. Larry and
Denise brought down a trailer load of different things for their new house and
Larry had brought an air compressor, I sent him and e-mail to see if I could
use it for my painting project. Well they called us this evening to give us an
update on what they have been doing and to tell me to use the air compressor.
Cheri did her Tuesday house work and then disappeared into the sewing room.
