The weather report for the day was 40 percent for rain and a high 76. The hourly report showed a rain shower at 11:00 am and again at 2:00 pm then later this evening. The reason I am telling you this is because today is the first day of Bike Week in Daytona which is 120 miles from here. Today is that only day that I can go because of company coming and appointments next week. It was 61 degrees at 7:45 am when Larry and I left with the motorcycles in a heavy mist. Well it didn’t get any better, about every half hour we would get a shower that would last 10 or 15 minutes. About a third of the way a strong wind came out of the north and the temp must have dropped 10 degrees. We did stop on the way for a cup of coffee has I was cold. While we were checking out the vendors it started to rain a good shower which lasted for twenty minutes. When it wasn’t raining there was always a heavy mist coming down. I do know that when we left this morning that was the warmest part of the day. In fact while we were there we could see our breath. The trip home was the same as the trip over except less rain. Now that I am done explaining what the day was like Larry and I had a good time. I guess you have to be a bike rider to understand this. Cheri and Denise went to Lakeland for a quilt and vendor show. Larry and I knew they were going to be late as there was a drawing for a new sewing machine at 5:30 pm. I figured they would be home by 6:30 pm. At 7:00 pm they still weren’t home so I called Cheri and her phone went straight to voice mail which met that she had the phone turned off. I tried several more times later what still nothing. At 7:30 pm we were really getting worried and not sure what to do. Well they came around 7:45 pm. They had done more shopping after the quilt show. We all went to Pizza Hut for a very late dinner. We have company coming Saturday from Wisconsin and spending a couple of days with us, looking forward to seeing them.
