Gay April-21-15

We got a call around 9:00
am from Brooke letting us know that Darren came through his gallbladder surgery
ok and was in recovery. Later in the day we got another call from Brooke telling
us she had Darren home and that he had a hard time in the recovery room and was
in a lot of pain and had to gave him some additional pain medicine. She said
that she got him to bed and was hoping he would sleep the rest of the day. We
left early this morning for the hospital to see our dear friend Mel Hughes. He
is in the ICU and is a very sick man. He wasn’t able to talk but did know us.
We got to meet him and Jan’s daughter Cheri. We had a long talk with them in
the waiting room telling us what all happened with Mel yesterday, I think it is
going to take a long time for him to bounce back. So please continue to keep
him in your prayers. It was noon when we left the hospital and decided to have
lunch at the Hillbilly Farm. Cheri has wanted to stop there for a long time and
today was the day. It was ok but nothing special, we probably won’t go back
again. This afternoon Cheri did her Tuesday house cleaning plus paper work for
Grandma. I called the kitchen cabinet place and got all the answers in needed
for the cabinets. Now all we have to do is save money to buy them. I also spent
time with Cheri’s sewing table. I need to modify it so her machine will fit in
it, I have some ideas on what I need to do, now I need to ponder on which is
the best way to fix it.
