Gay April-28-15

It started to rain just
before I got up this morning and had a nice rain that lasted into the afternoon,
received just over an inch, supposed to get more tomorrow. We were ready to
face the day earlier than usual, not sure why but we were. At 9:00 am we headed
over to the rehab center to see Mel. They had all ready assessed and figured
that he should be able to go home in two weeks. Jan was already there when we
arrived. She is making plans to go north to their summer home to see about
getting the things out that they want to keep and putting the house up for sale.
We told her we would take care of Mel’s needs while she is gone. We were back
home by 11:00 am and I went out and worked on the sewing table. Cheri headed to
the sewing room after she got her Tuesday house work done. It was 1:00 pm
before I took a break for lunch. Cheri had a pork roast in the Crockpot and
sure did smell good. By 4:30 pm I had the sewing table mocked up and ready to
see how the sewing machine was going to fit. I have to make a couple of changes
which should work out ok. Then I can take it all apart and sand, screw, and glue
it together. The plan right now is to paint it white. Cheri is closing in on
the wall hanging she is working on, not too much more to do on it and then we
will have a new quilt hanging in the living room.
