Gay Aug-13-15

It was a good news bad
news day. I had an appointment this morning to get the catheter out (Yea
freedom from the bag). Things went well and were done early and on our way home
by a 9:10 am. I had a little trouble passing water but figured it would get
better. Bad news by 1:30 pm I was in pain and not able to pass water. So it was
back to the ER and had to have the catheter put back in. The doctor told me he
was going to give me some antibiotics, I told him that I had been on
antibiotics for bladder infection and had two day worth left. He went and checked
to see what I had been taking and came back and told me that I was on the wrong
antibiotics and they would not kill the infection that I had. He seemed to
think I probably still have the bladder infection and that’s why I wasn’t able
to pass water. He prescribed an antibiotic that would kill the infection and I
have to take them for seven days. He said that he put in a consult to the
urology department and they should be calling me tomorrow to see what is going
to be the next step. We got home around 5:30 pm and needless to say I am pretty
depressed. Cheri is also very exhausted going through all of this with me.
