It was a cold morning with a stiff wind out of the north, needed to stay out of the wind and in the sunshine which is hard to do when you are working. I finished up the bathroom I have been working on. It was good to finally get it done and looks very nice. I was back home by 1:00 pm for a late lunch. Cheri was busy getting her Tuesday house work done and spent time in her sewing room. After I got the truck unloaded I headed over to Wal-Mart to get some additional containers like I bought the other day but they were out of them. I then made a stop at Larry and Denise’s to see about helping Larry install the sheetrock in their new addition. Larry’s brother Frank was helping him and only had a little bit left to do when I got there. It was after 3:00 pm when I got back home and did some work in the shop sorting tools and get them ready for my project tomorrow. Later this afternoon I received a call from the people that I am supposed to install the shower for and he told me he found a person that install them for a living and got it done today. It really didn’t hurt my feelings as I have plenty of work to do and got two more calls today for work. This evening a group of our Sunday school friends took the church bus and went to Willy’s Seafood restaurant. It was a good time and was back home by 9:30 pm.

We had a busy day. Cheri had to take Grandma’s paper work to the new doctor’s office that she will be going to Wednesday and as long as she was out she did some shopping. She also had two crockpots going for dinner. One with swift steak and the other with scalloped potatoes. I left for work at 9:15 am to move some shelving in a laundry room, hang more pictures, and break down all the boxes from there move from New York state. I got all the cardboard loaded in the truck to take to a man here in Zephyrhills. Well when I got to his place he said that he was sick and couldn’t take. So there I was with a truck full of cardboard that could be recycled and no place to go with it. I needed to get it out of the truck as I need the truck for my project tomorrow so ended up putting it in the dumpster, felt badly about doing it but I didn’t have any choice. I also got a call for a bathroom project in our park so stopped on the way home to check it out. They are removing a garden tub and installing a walk in shower. They have a plumber coming to do all the plumbing and I have to do the rest of the install. It was after 5:00 pm when I got home and was ready for a nice hot shower. The dinner Cheri fixed was excellent and have enough for dinner tomorrow. The evening was spent watching TV shows that we had recorded. Thank you God for blessing us with another great day.

Grandma didn’t go to church with us today. After Sunday school we went to Lakeland as Cheri wanted to go to Hobby Lobby there to see if she could get some more baskets like she got here in Zephyrhills. Yep you are right Hobby Lobby is closed on Sunday and we knew that but had a brain fade. As long as we were there Cheri went to Jo-Ann’s and did get some material she wanted. It was around 2:00 pm when we got home. We had a little time to relax before meeting Ron and Sandy at 3:30 pm at Pizza Hut for our Sunday pizza. The reason we were out for pizza early was because there is a concert starting at 5:00 pm in our church. We had invited Ron and Sandy to go and that is the reason for the early pizza. The group that did the concert was called “The Sound”. We have seen them before and were very good and this evening was no different. We were back home by 7:00 pm. We had rain this afternoon and was a hard rain this evening. I checked the rain gauge and we received just under four inches, the first big rain in a long time.

I try not to do any work on Saturday but I am behind and needed to work today. I am still working on the bathroom. Today I got all the plastering done, flooring laid, and painting done (yes I did the painting). All that is left to do is the base trim and installing the toilet. Which won’t get done until Tuesday as I already have another job for Monday. It was around 4:30 pm when I got home. After Supper I headed to the shower which always make me feel better. Cheri spent a lot of her day filling out paper work for Grandma as she will be going for radiation treatments on her face. She also made a new reef for the front door. It was another night of watching TV shows we had recorded. It is a good thing we have a DVR as I can back up the show when I fall asleep to see what I missed, which happens a lot.

I didn’t go for my accountability group breakfast and Bible study this morning as I had a 10:00 am appointment in Tampa VA for a PET scan and couldn’t have anything to eat after 5:00 am.  I left at 8:30 am as I wasn’t sure exactly where I had to go. Things went well as I was a little early and got in early. I took the truck for my appointment as I got a call last night from a lady over in Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club that is having a problem with her dryer. Her husband started taking it apart and got in over his head. So after my appointment I eat my lunch and headed for their place. I call them on the way to tell them I was coming and got their voice mail. So I left a message to call me. So I stopped at the Wal-Mart in Wesley Chapel to do a little shopping. I wasn’t there very long before I got a call letting me know that they were home and hadn’t heard the phone ring. I was told that they needed a new belt installed in the dryer but when I checked it was ok. I did find that the idler pulley needed to be rebuilt. So I had to make a trip to Wesley Chapel Ace Hardware to get the parts I needed. Long story short the dryer is fixed and it was 5:15 pm when I got home. Cheri had done her Friday house work and also went shopping. This evening we went over to Larry and Denise’s to play cards. Larry’s sister was there so we play SOB. A fun evening spending time with friends.

It was a busy day for both Cheri and me. Cheri took Grandma for her 9:30 am doctor’s appointment. It is the heart doctor and always have to wait for an extra half to an hour after the appointment time to get in, today was no different. Then Cheri had to pick up medicine and a few other things for Grandma. After all was said and done she didn’t get home until 1:00 pm. I was at work at 9:00 am. I put another coat of plaster on the wall. I removed the toilet and found a bad spot in the wall at the other end of the bath tub. So I removed the bad sheet rock and replaced it with a new piece. I also got a coat of plater on it and some more leveling compound on the floor. I removed the door and all the base trim to get ready to install new flooring. After lunch I made a trip to Lowe’s for new base board and other materials I need for the project. I checked on flooring but didn’t find anything that would work. I dropped of the materials I bought and headed home. Cheri was still working finishing up her laundry. Then we headed for Plant City to check on flooring at Lumber Liquidators and found something that will work. As long as we were in Plant City we stopped at Southern Hospitality to check on a dresser or book case for the spare bedroom. We did find something Cheri liked but was too expensive. So as soon as I get some spare time I am going to build what she wants. We had leftover chili from Men’s Night Out for dinner. It did warn up into the mid 60’s but with a stiff wind out of the north it was jacket weather. Thank you God for anther wonderful day.

First I need to wish our Son (Darren) a happy birthday. What a day it was when he was born. Most all the roads were shut down from a snow blizzard we had. I wasn’t sure we were even going to make it to the hospital, it was a good thing we started out early or we probably won’t have gotten through. It was a little cooler this morning so it was nice that I could work inside until it warmed up. I got the sheet rock installed and the floor repaired. I also got some floor leveler put down and a coat of plaster on the drywall. I worked on reinstalling the siding that I had removed to get under the house, not my best job and I am going to redo it tomorrow. I had to make a trip to Lowe’s for the sheet rock and was able to get a damaged piece for half price as I only needed a small piece, also got the floor leveler.  I had started at 9:00 am and quit for the day at 3:00 pm. I headed for a nice hot shower when I got home and made me feel better. Cheri went out shopping today looking for a new dresser for the spare bedroom. She also make a batch of chocolate chip cookies. We did a video call to Darren to wish him a happy birthday and got to see Wyatt running around, he never sits still for very long.  We settled in for an evening of TV but I did more napping than watching.

It was a busy day for me as I had a job of fixing a water drain leak, floor, and wall damage that has been the results of many years of a bathtub drain. I had to crawl under the house and open up the insulation barrier to get to the tub drain. After finding the problem I made a trip to get the materials I needed to make the repair. I also got all the rotten floor and wall board removed. I quit at 3:00 pm because I had to get ready for our church men’s night out. By the time I showered and got cleaned up I had half an hour to rest. Cheri was busy doing her Tuesday house work and made a crockpot of Chile for me to take to Men’s night out. We had 45 men show up and we served Chile, hotdogs, and chips. We had a pastor from another church speak this evening and he had an excellent message. After all the cleanup it was a little pass 9:00 pm when I got home. I was tired and ready to call it a night. It was another very nice day although we did have a little rain early this morning.

It was in the 50’again this morning and warmed to 81 degrees which was wonderful. I didn’t schedule any work today has I have a doctor’s appointment later in the day. We headed out around 9:30 am and made a stop at the bank to pay off the house. This is the first time in 50 years that we have lived in a house that has been paid for, sounds crazy when you think about it. We made a trip the quilt shop in Dade City so Cheri could look for some special material she needs, no luck and will have to see if she can order it off the internet. We also took the car through the car wash as we got a lot of bird crap on it parked under the tree at Sunday school. When we got home I fired up the grill to grill a couple of steaks for our dinner. At 1:00 pm I left for my doctor’s appointment in Tampa at the VA. It was just a follow up from all the fever problems I had. I also stopped on the way home and got my new glasses adjusted. While I was gone Cheri sold the bedroom set but they didn’t want the box springs and mattress so we now have that to get rid of. Probably will take it to the Re-store.  Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

It was 54 degree this morning more to my liking. It also warmed up to be a very nice day. Grandma didn’t go to church with us as she is still feeling under the weather from a sinus infection. They now have the new sound system working in the church and made it much easier to hear. Pastor Randy has been teaching on 40 Days in Prayer. Charlie presented and excellent Sunday school lesson like he always does. We got home around 1:00 pm. We once again set part of the bedroom set out in the carport. Later this afternoon we got an e-mail through Craigslist on the bedroom set and they are coming tomorrow afternoon to check it out. Cheri and I are both in need of more energy and decided to make it an afternoon of TV and napping. I did my part on the napping as I slept most of the afternoon. Cheri fixed us pizza for dinner. Thank you God for a day of spending time with you.

It was much warmer this morning as it was in the low 40’s and no wind today as the temp climbed into the high 60’s. Cheri and I spent time together today. This morning we went out to the Sunrise Eatery for breakfast. Then a quick trip to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things we needed. We were back home by 9:30 am. We once again set out part of the bedroom set in hopes of selling it. Cheri spent some time in her sewing room and I did some computer work along with cleaning some of the things out of the sunroom (things that were stored under the beds or maybe I should say hid under the beds. Lunch was just an English muffin with peanut butter as we had a big breakfast and didn’t need much. After lunch I took Cheri to Plant City so she could do some shopping in the quilt shop. The car show was going on so I checked out some of the cars while Cheri shopped. We got a call from Pam that Sandy had taken Ron to the emergency room as he was having chest pains. So Pam and Mike was headed to the hospital. So we also headed to the hospital and then got another call from Pam telling us that Sandy said not to come as it turned out to be a medication problem and he was going home. So we turned around and headed home. Later we met Mike and Pam at Panera Bread for soup and sandwich. We had a long visit as it has been a long time since we were last together.

I left the house 6:10 am and headed to Dade City for breakfast and Bible study with the accountability group. It was around 8:30 am when I got back home. It was 29 degrees this morning and warmed up for a pretty nice day. Cheri and I both left the house about the same time. Cheri had an eye appointment to see about getting new glasses and I headed to Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club. I had an appointment to hang pictures, mirrors, and assemble a storage seat at the end of the bed. I had to leave at 11:30 am to go to another place to do some caulking, change light bulbs, and repair three windows. Then it was back to hanging more pictures. I also have some closet shelves to lower but ran out of time today. I was back home around 4:30 pm. After Cheri’s appointment she went and got groceries and medicine for Grandma and then home to finish the laundry. When I got home she had hot clam chowder waiting for me. This evening Larry and Denise came over for a visit and cards. Because of colds and them being busy with relatives it has been a while since we were last together. It was another good day God made for us.

It was 26 degrees this morning and 54 degrees for a high. I had a doctor’s appointment at the VA in Tampa this morning at 10:00 am. So I was out the door at 8:45 am. Cheri took Grandma for her 10:15 am doctor appointment. Good thing we have the extra vehicle. I was back home by 11:30 am and Cheri got home around 1:00 pm. All I did this afternoon was get the tools I need for work tomorrow loaded in the truck. It was just too cold to be out and about. Cheri had started the laundry before taking Grandma for her appointment and had to finish that this afternoon. I am not sure but we were both exhausted this afternoon. I was going to take Cheri out for dinner but decided that it was too cold to go out and had leftovers for dinner. The evening was spent wrapped up in blankets watching TV.

It was 41 degrees this morning and never warmed up much in fact by afternoon it started getting windy and cold. It is supposed to get down into the high 20’s tonight. Cheri was busy with her Wednesday house work and then went grocery shopping. She has been sitting part of the bedroom set that we want to sell out in the driveway and had a lady come by and told her that she would take it. Cheri was really happy but later she got a call that the lady decided not to take it. I had to be at work at 9:00 am to help Bob with power washing near the front entrance to Tampa Bay golf and Country Park. I worked for an hour before my appointment to hang some blinds which ended up taking two and half hours. Then it was back to power washing. We finished the project around 4:00 pm and both were wet and cold. So a good hot shower was in order for me when I got home. Only had time to rest for 45 minutes after dinner before our neighbors came over for a visit and to play the board game of aggravation.

Another morning of 43 degrees but warmed to the low 70’s to be a nice day to be out and about. We got a call around 8:30 am this morning from Grandma telling us she didn’t have any heat and was very cold. So I headed right over and she was all covered up with blankets in her recliner and said that the heat went off at midnight. Well the problem turned out to be dead batteries in the thermostat. When I got home Cheri fixed us a breakfast of eggs, hash browns, bacon, and English muffins to go along with our coffee. I did some computer work and Cheri was starting her Tuesday house work when our neighbor came over for a visit. After all of this I still hadn’t shaved and taken my shower so time to get cleaned up for the day. This afternoon I worked on getting the nerf bars (running boards) install on the truck now it is much easier for an old guy like me to get into the truck. I got a call from a lady here in the park that said that she had a water leak by her bathtub. I went to check it out and soft about 2 feet square in the floor and part of the wall where the washing machine is on the other side of the wall. I think the leak is coming from washing machine and will check that out first. I also got a call from Bob needing help power washing tomorrow. I also have some blinds to hang. This evening we got a call from the lady that cleans for Grandma and told us that Grandma told her she was having chest pains. So we jumped in the car and headed over to her place. She had company and was sitting at the table playing dominos. I am not really sure what Grandma told her but she said that she was ok and no chest pains, just a bad sinus cold which we already knew about. So we headed back home to watch a little more TV before calling it a night.

It was 43 degree this morning and I am so ready for warmer weather. I did get up to 60 degrees but took until this afternoon to get there. Cheri worked on taxes today. I left for my project of installing an attic ladder over in Tampa Bay Country complex. The one thing I needed to start the project was my saws all and I didn’t have it. I was so sure that I had put it in the truck but it wasn’t there. So a trip back home to get the saw, needless to say I was pretty upset with myself. It turned out to be a bigger job than I thought it would be. After I got the opening ready I called Bob to come and help me get it set in place. I don’t think I could have done it by myself and was much easier having Bob’s help. Once it was set in place I was able to finish it myself. It was 3:30 pm when I finally arrived home. Cheri is still trying to sell the spare bedroom set by sitting part of it in our driveway for sale. No luck on selling it and I think we will call the Re-Store and see if they will come and pick it up. We had leftover lasagna and breadsticks for dinner, always think it taste better the second day as it has more time for the flavors to blend. The evening was spent curled up in our recliners with a blanket to keep warm while watching TV.

It was another cold morning of 36 degrees and didn’t get out of the 50’s. Grandma is not feeling well and didn’t go to church. I don’t think she would have gone anyway because of it being cold out. This afternoon Cheri worked on Taxes and I got the truck loaded with the materials I need for the attic stairs I will be working on tomorrow. I was going to install the nerf bars on the truck but didn’t feel like crawling around on the cold concrete. The rest of the afternoon was spent in our recliners. Cheri and I still have a little cough left and think maybe one more day and we should be back to our old selves.

I actually slept in this morning as we didn’t have to be anywhere today which seem kind of nice. It was cold again today and decided there wasn’t anything outside that I needed to do today. We had only one project for today and that was to remove the old TV from the bedroom and install the new one we bought several months ago. Being the new TV was bigger it took until 1:30 pm to get it install as the wall mounts had to be moved. It was almost more than Cheri and I could handle but we endured and got it done. The rest of the day was spent napping and watching TV. The nerf bars for the truck came this afternoon but didn’t have the energy or maybe it was because it was cold out to install them. I am still having trouble with my neck and putting up the TV didn’t help. Looking forward to a better day tomorrow.

Cheri and I are feeling better today but still in need of more energy. I headed out at 6:10 am for breakfast and Bible study in Dade City. I was home around 8:15 am. I was supposed to take Grandma for her eye appointment and got a call that she is fighting a sinus infection and needed to cancel her appointment. Around 9:00 am I got a call from a guy here in the park who was having a plumbing problem so I went over to take care of it. He had installed a new dishwasher and garbage disposal and was having all kinds of problem trying to hook up the plumbing. It took me a couple of hours but got it taken care of. Next I stopped at the place where I was working on the floor and they have decided to wait as they are thinking about moving. Cheri had gone to Wal-Mart to get Grandma’s groceries and medicine. This afternoon she made Lasagna and bread sticks to have for dinner. I went out and got the side step installed on the truck and it will be much easier to get into the truck bed. I also went out looking at tubs and surrounds as I may have a job of putting in a new tub and surround. I got home around 4:00 pm and had enough for the day, Cheri was already in her recliner. After a wonderful dinner of lasagna and bread sticks we settled in for an evening of TV.

I left the house at 7:45 am heading to Tampa for an appointment at the VA. I did get through fairly early and was back home by 11:00 am. Cheri had the spare bedroom all washed, cleaned and ready to move the bed in. We worked on finishing that project this afternoon and being we are low on energy we had to take a break before we could finish. The rear box step for the truck came and had planned on installing it this afternoon but just didn’t have the energy to get it done. Cheri also got the Thursday laundry done. The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent in the recliners napping and watching TV. We are praying for better day tomorrow.

It was back to work today even though I really didn’t feel like it. Cheri felt the same as me, neither of us had the energy we needed. Cheri was busy today cleaning the spare bedroom getting it ready to set up our old bed and getting rid of the spare bedroom set. I left for work at 9:15 am for my project which wasn’t much but every time I got done he found something else for me to fix or do. I even had to make a trip to Wesley Chapel to get a new breaker for the water softener. On the way home I got a call from a lady in our park that wants a new shower and vanities. Basically wants a complete new bathroom. After talking to her I decided it was a project I wouldn’t do as she kept changing her mind on what she wanted and figured out I would never be able to make her happy. My last stop was to repair a floor where the planks had separated. I tried a couple of my tricks that didn’t work. I will have to remove the washer and dryer and today wasn’t the day to do that. I tried to fix the French doors that lead in the den and decided that new hinges will have to be installed. The last thing was to repair some siding that has come off from the hurricane which I was able to get done. After that I was done for the day, got home at 4:30 pm. After dinner we were ready for the recliners when I got a call from Grandma that her computer wasn’t working so Cheri and I went over and got that working again and she had a list of things she needs from Wal-Mart but that is going to wait for another day.

The warm weather has returned and even that has to make a person feel better. Cheri and I still have a ways to go before we are back to good health but are gaining some every day. We got a call this morning that the new bed will be delivered between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm. So Cheri and I went to work tearing down the old bed and then moving in the new bed frame. Cheri had to leave for her haircut and I did as much as I could do while she was gone. When she got back we finished the install of the new bed frame. It was 11:00 am when we got done and decided to have an early lunch so we would be ready for the bed delivery. Good thing we did because they came at 11:45 am. It only took them about an hour to get everything set up. After they left it was time for Cheri and me to get the bedroom back in shape. We called it a day at 3:00 pm as Cheri needed to go to Wal-Mart and I needed to get a haircut. Shortly after we got home I got a call from a couple here in the park that wants to install a new bathtub and shower surround. So I went over to their place and checked it out and gave them an estimate on the work, now it is a wait and see if I get the job. Cheri fixed us a hamburger and potato salad for dinner. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

Cheri left me and went to the spare bedroom to sleep as we were both having a bad night. Although we both felt some better today and both felt like we needed to do something even though we are low on energy. Cheri was busy with her Monday house work. She also made a trip to the bank and then over to Hobby Lobby to check on a furniture sale they have going. She is looking for something to replace the dresser in the spare bedroom after we move our existing bed in there. I headed outside to work as it was warmer this morning. I got the Christmas lights down and cleaned up and removed all the blossoms from the Mum plants. I cut a couple of branches off the tree to keep the squirrel out of the bird feeder (that is a story for another day). I got bird feeder filled again and no more worries about the squirrel getting into the feeder. I worked on the kitchen floor where we had some flooring came apart and I managed to get it pulled back to gather and looks much better. I made a trip to Lowe’s to return some can lights that because I had bought the wrong size. I also ordered the running boards (nerf bars) for the truck and a rear step to make it easier to get into the truck box. By 3:00 pm we were ready for the recliners. For dinner we had scrambled eggs and chip beef on toast. Looking forward to an even better day tomorrow and more energy. Thank you God.

It is a sick day for Cheri and me both with bad colds. We didn’t go to church or Sunday school. Cheri was the only one to go out of the house and that was to pick up the Sunday Paper. The day was spent in our recliners wrapped up in blankets napping and watching TV. We also spent a lot of time barking (coughing). Looking forward to a better day tomorrow.

It was 34 degrees this morning and never got out of the 50’s. Our colds are getting us down and no energy. So it was somewhat of a down day for us. We left the house this morning around 10:00 am. I had looked on line and found a store in Brandon that sold truck accessories. Still looking for running boards or Neff bars for the truck. We did find what we wanted but would have to order them. So I figured I could do my own ordering from home. While we were in Brandon Cheri wanted to stop at the Old Time Pottery. While she was looking around there I went over to Home Depot to get some door trim for one of my customers. I didn’t find any that matched what they have so I went back to check on Cheri. We looked a Christmas tree like the one she has been wanting and the only one left was the display and no box for it so we passed. Our next stop was in Wesley Chapel for lunch at Applebee’s. On the way home we stopped by Larry and Denise’s and Larry has the ceiling done and his brother Frank was helping him put on the outside sheathing. We made one more stop at Lowe’s where I was able to find the matching trim I needed. The evening was spent wrapped up in blankets watching TV.

When I got up this morning it was 31 degree but when Cheri got up it was 27 degrees. Which means another cold day. I left the house at 6:10 am heading to Dade City for breakfast and Bible study. I got home a little past 8:00 am. I headed to the shower to get cleaned up for the day. I did some paper work before taking Grandma for her 11:00 am B-12 shot. When I got home Cheri was washing down walls in the bedroom. We headed out early for Cheri’s 2:10 pm eye appointment so we could stop at the Florida Cracker restaurant for lunch. Cheri and I thought that it wasn’t has good as in the past but may have been because of our colds and coughs. There wasn’t any change in her eye as it appears to be as good as it is going to be. Now she has to be weaned off of the eye drops she is using which will take a few months. I got a call this morning from a party that wants me to remove a queen size bed and put in two twin beds. I had told them it would be Wednesday before I could get to it. Well Cheri and I were going right by their place on the way to Wesley Chapel so I called them to see about doing it this afternoon and they were very happy that we were able to do it now and couldn’t have done it without Cheri’s help. After the bed project we headed on to Wesley Chapel as I am looking for steps for the truck as it is hard to get in and out. I found this place on line and showed that it was a store and turned out to be a home selling stuff online. It was after 5:00 pm when we arrived home. Cheri and I are both feeling pretty bad and headed to bed early. Looking forward to a better day tomorrow.

It was 27 degrees here this morning not good for the strawberries. Hopefully it won’t last long. This weekend it is supposed to start warming up again. I now have a new line of work that I can add to my work resume as a handyman. I got a call last night to bury a dog that had died. Cheri and I both are having a bad day fighting the cough that we both have. Cheri was busy spring cleaning in the bed room getting ready for the new bed that was to be delivered Saturday but got call that because of the snow storm up north it won’t be here until Tuesday. I had to go to the dealership where I bought the truck as the temp plate had run out and had to have a new temp plate, don’t know why it is taking so long. I was told that the title was from another state and was the reason for the delay. It is strange because when I brought the truck I was told it was from a local guy that wanted a bigger truck. I do know I would never buy another vehicle from this dealership. I am also nursing a bad neck which I got helping Larry install the ceiling panels yesterday. The guy Bob Conover that I do handy man work with is back and met with him this afternoon to settle up and what we will be doing next week. Thank you God for helping us get through another day.

We woke up to rain and 41 degrees plus very windy. Today I am helping Larry put in the ceiling in their new addition. We started at 9:00 am and after a bit it was so windy and wet from the rain we decided to quit as it was supposed to be over by noon. Sure enough by noon it had quit raining and the wind died down some and the sun came out. We worked until dark and have most of the ceiling panels up. It was near 6:00 pm when I got home. I was ready for a good hot shower as I was cold and now have the bad cough that Cheri has. So we both are not feeling good and makes for a long night trying to sleep. Cheri took Grandma for her doctor’s appointment and had a long wait to see the doctor. Cheri and Denise went shopping over at Sam’s Club this afternoon.

40 degrees this morning and very windy making for a cold morning. Cheri is under the weather this morning. She has a bad cough and can’t seem to shake it. She did go out this morning to pick up paper work to be filled out as Grandma is seeing a different doctor tomorrow. I left the house at 8:30 am as I had to stop at Home Depot to rent a ten foot step ladder to change out a light fixture. It was 9:30 am when I arrived for work. I started by trimming out a window and adding trim to the wall of a concrete block wall. I also repaired an outside light, installed the new light fixture, and got the treadmill working. I also got a call to install a fold down sitars to into the attic. So the way home I stopped and checked it out. Next was a stop at Home Depot to return the step ladder. It was 5:30 pm when I got home. Cheri had made a crockpot of broccoli soup which went well on cold day and I was cold when I got home. Thank you God for bring us through another day.

Happy New Year to each and every one. It was 56 degrees when I got up this morning that was the high for the day. Because of the rain and cold coming I went out early to get the truck loaded for my work project tomorrow. It being a nasty rainy and cold windy day we decided to spend the day in our recliners watching movies and napping. We had Chili for lunch and again for our dinner as it was good to have on a cold day. It is supposed to be cold all week, nothing like they have up north but still colder here than I like. It was already down in the low 40’s when we went to bed.

The last day to write 2017. When I think back over the years I wasn’t sure I would live to be this young as I am as young now as I will ever be. We are looking forward to a better new year and being closer to God. It was 41 degrees this morning and didn’t think Grandma would want to go to church but she did. Church and Sunday school were good and was back home by 12:45 pm. Cheri is under the weather today, has a bad cough but not a sore throat. The flu is going around and pray we don’t get it. This afternoon we relaxed in our recliner watching TV and napping. We got a call from Nikki and said that they were in an accident with the truck. The roads were Icy and sled through a stop sign into a van. No one got hurt and the airbags did deploy. Nikki thinks the truck will be totaled. We did a video call to Brooke to wish her a happy birthday and got to see Wyatt, seen like there is a change in him each time we see him. Cheri and I went to bed early but was woke up many time to fireworks that was still going on at 2:00 am. So Happy New Year and we will see you next year.
