I felt much better this
morning and not so tired. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work. She has
had a dull headache all day and not feeling like doing anything. I left early
so I could start work at 9:00 am. I power washed a screened in patio which hadn’t
been done for a few years. Plus I was power washing the house and was half done
when I took a break for lunch. After lunch I couldn’t get the power washer
started. I think I must have flooded it. So I did a repair on the patio screen
door and reattached the spray guard on the shower door. I quit work at 2:15 pm
so I could be home by 3:00 pm because I had gotten an e-mail from a person that
is interested in seeing the motorcycle and had told him it could be seen after
3:00 pm. Well no one showed up. I did get the truck unloaded and check out the
power washer and two pulls and it was running, glad it wasn’t any serious. I
also got the materials laid out that I need to take tomorrow. I received
another e-mail from a different person on the motorcycle and called him and he
is coming to see the bike Friday afternoon or Saturday forenoon. He is very
interested in it. It could have been a better day for Cheri and me but we got
through it with Gods help. Sometimes we forget that we have to trust God and he
will do the right thing.

I didn’t have a good night’s
sleep so very tired again today. But had a 9:00 am appointment today. It
started with removing a bathroom sink and vanity top. This is the same place I
worked at last week removing two sinks and vanity top. Shortly after I got the
vanity top removed. The granite guys came with the new granite tops. I had to remove
a piece of door molding so they could get the granite top in the master
bathroom. When they got done I went to work reinstalling the three sinks.
Because I had raised the master bathroom vanity I had to have all new supply
lines and some new drain parts which I had with me. I also had to do some wall
repair that got damaged putting in the granite top. I actually had a very good
day, with Gods help everything went smoothly. I made a stop on the way home at
a place where I have been doing some repair work getting the house ready to
sell. I talked to the owner and she gave me a list of things I still need to do
which will be my project for tomorrow. I got home at 3:30 pm which was nice.
Cheri took Grandma for her radiation treatment appointment and also had to see
the doctor which took longer. This afternoon Cheri worked in her sewing room,
she is working on making our queen sized bed spread trying to make it into a
king sized bed spread for our new king size bed. This evening we had a 7:00 pm
meeting with our Sunday school class setting up things for the rest of the year
on what we want and need to do. It was around 9:00 pm when we got home. I also
got the motorcycle advertised on Craigslist late this afternoon.

I think I over did it
yesterday as I am really tired today. It was an effort to get myself together
for church and Sunday school. Grandma did go to church with us today as we had
a guest speaker and there wouldn’t be any notes for her. By the time we got
home from Sunday school the NASCAR race had started, well the programing
started but the race was in a rain delay. So we switched to a different show
which Cheri watched and I napped. Later I went to the bedroom so I could watch
the race and Cheri could watch what she wanted. With the race rain delay it was
near 8:00 pm before it was over. Cheri fixed pizza for supper (our usual Sunday
evening meal). We got a video call from Darren and Brooke this evening and got
to see Wyatt, he seems to be growing up fast. Darren told us he has a new
client in Texas and some more things in the works. The rest of the evening was
watching shows we had recorded.

Cheri and I were both up
extra early this morning. We were at the Sunrise Eatery a little before 7:00 am
in fact we were the third group of people in. We were back home by 7:45 am
ready to face the rest of the day. Cheri did her Friday laundry and ironing
today. She also made chicken and dumplings for our supper. I worked outside on
washing and detailing the motorcycle. It is now ready for me to sell. Yep. I
have decide it is time for my motorcycle riding to come to an end. I have been
riding for 45 plus years. I am sure I will miss it but there comes a time when
we know it is time to quit. I have taken some pictures so I can advertise it on
Craigslist. I also got the new cover installed on the bike barn that was
damaged in the hurricane and hope to sell it with the motorcycle. I made a trip
to Lowes for some additional work materials and got the security lights that
they were out of that last time I was looking for them. The chicken and
dumplings that Cheri made for supper were excellent, been a while since we last
had them. We had a relaxing evening watching TV shows we had recorded. Thank
you God for a blessed day.

We were up early this
morning as we had an early appointment in Tampa. Denise went with us. It was
near noon went we got home. Cheri fixed us soup for lunch. We decided that we
were going to take the rest of the day off. So it was an afternoon and evening
of napping and watching TV. Cheri fixed leftover ribs and cucumber salad for
supper. It was nice to have the afternoon off and not having to do any work. I
think maybe we should have a few more of them. Thank you God for a great day.

Cheri and I were both busy
today. Cheri with doing the Thursday laundry, taking Grandma for her 11:15 am
radiation treatment, and was late getting in. Cheri then came to Larry and
Denise’s for lunch as I was already there. Larry and I had started installing
the sunroom flooring 8:15 am. Denise fixed us pizza for lunch. After lunch
Cheri and Denise went shopping at Wesley Chapel. Larry and I went back to work
on the flooring. We got down to one small piece that Larry needed. He had two additional
boxes but didn’t want open one of them for just one piece. So we loaded the two
boxes into the truck and headed for Plywood Liquidators to see if we could return
the two boxes and just buy one piece. They didn’t know if they had an open box
for samples, the guy went and looked and came back with the piece we needed. It
saved Larry an additional $45.00 because he didn’t have to open the box. They
were so nice and didn’t even charge Larry for the piece. It was near 5:00 pm
when we got back to install the last piece. We just got done when Cheri and
Denise came home from shopping. It was after 5:30 pm when we got home. I
unloaded some tools from the truck and Larry and Denise brought back my table
saw he was using. Once again I was ready for the nice hot shower. Cheri brought
home ribs from Sam’s Club, so we had ribs along with a cucumber salad Cheri
made. Thank you God for blessing us with another safe and productive day.

Cheri took Grandma for her
11:15 am appointment for her nose radiation treatment. They had some equipment
problems so it took longer for the treatment to be done. So Cheri was late
getting around to go shopping with Denise. Denice needed to go to Lakeland as
she was having some problems with the bank and need to get them straighten out.
They did get a late start but everything went ok. I was over to Larry and
Denise’s a little past 8:00 am to help Larry finish the crown molding install,
things went much better today and was done with the install by 1:00 pm. Larry
was going to spend the afternoon doing the caulking around the molding and be
ready for us to install the flooring tomorrow. On the way home I made a stop at
Lowe’s to get the materials I needed to complete a job next week. I also
stopped a Harbor Freight to get a set of hole saws that I am going to need for
another project. My last stop was to get the truck washed as it was pretty
dirty from all the pollen that is coming now. After I got home I worked on
cleaning the truck out and getting things loaded for my next projects. Cheri
fixed us spaghetti with garlic biscuits for supper. It has been a long time
since we have had spaghetti and was a nice change. It was an evening of TV with
snacks and a nap before bed time.

I was up at my usual 5:00
am time but had a little extra time at home. I had a 10:00 am dermatologist
appointment at the Tampa VA. I needed to have my nose and ear checked. The nose
was nothing to worry about but they did take a biopsy of the spot on my ear. It
was near noon when I got home. Cheri had gone shopping today with Denise so it
was lunch by myself. After lunch I went over to Larry and Denise’s to help
Larry put up the crown molding in their new room addition. I have done some
crown molding before and never had the problems that Larry and I were having
this afternoon. Things just wouldn’t go right. Hoping that a night off and
staring fresh tomorrow and things will go better. On the way home I stopped to
check out another job, repairing a leak in a sky light and venting the clothes
dryer to the outside. I hope to get it done sometime next week. As soon as I
got home I headed for the shower and then Cheri had supper ready. We had sloppy
joes and homemade cookies for dessert. It was another evening with the TV and a
nap before bed time. Looking forward to a better work day tomorrow.

Cheri had a busy day as
she took Grandma for her radiation appointment. She also made a trip to the
post office to find out that it was closed as it was Presidents day which is a federal
holiday. After Grandma’s appointment she went to Lakeland by herself to shop at
Jo-Ann fabrics as she had a 60 percent off coupon and was for only good for today.
When she got home she made chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies. I
left the house at 8:45 am for an appointment to install a new kitchen sink. I
had a hard time getting the old sink out as it extended into blind cabinets on
both sides. After much work I got it out and then had to do some modifications
to the blind cabinets to make the new sink fit. Then had to make a trip to Lowe’s
for some plumbing parts as the old plumbing wouldn’t match up to the new sink.
It was near 3:30 pm when I got done and was good to get home earlier than usual.
After a good hot shower Cheri had supper ready for us. It was an evening of
watching shows we had recorded. It was a productive day for us and thank you
God blessing us.

It was a little cooler
this morning but warmed up quickly to be a very nice day and in fact maybe a
little too warm. But I much really have the heat than the cold. Grandma went to
church with us today. Church and Sunday school were both very good. Our new
music director that just started a few months ago made an announcement that he
is going to be leaving and going to a church out of the state. This afternoon I
checked over the truck to make sure I had all the materials I need for my work
tomorrow. Cheri and I spent the rest of the afternoon in our recliners watching
TV and napping. We both had a good nap. We watched the NASCAR Daytona 500 race or
I should say I watched it as Cheri did some napping during the race. She isn’t
that interested in racing but she is a good sport and watches with me. It was
pizza for supper and then more TV. It was a good day learning about God and
what he does for us. And the best part is all you have to do is ask.

Cheri and I got around
early so we went to Sunrise Eatery for breakfast, where there by 7:15 am. It
was very foggy this morning with over cast which made it nice for working
outside, which I did. I filled the bird feeder, trimmed back all the flowers
and shrubs that were killed from the freezing weather we had, blew out all the
leaves from the back yard flowerbed, raked up four big bags of leaves, and
repaired an outside water faucet. We have been having a problem with the
outside security lights so I went Lowe’s to see about getting new ones like the
one I installed for a customer the other day and they were out of them and didn’t
see anything else I liked so came home. Cheri was also busy all day, she
finished the quilt project she has been working on and now is in the process of
adding extra width to our bed spread so it will fit our new king size bed. She
also made hot German potato salad and brats for dinner along with homemade
lemon bars. We skipped lunch today because of the big breakfast but did have
dinner earlier than usual. This evening Larry and Denise came over to play
cards. We played one game of Hand, Knee, and Foot that Larry and I won by a
small margin. Then a game of Phase Ten. Cheri and I both went out at the same
time. Then the score is used to see who won, well we both had the same score,
never seen that happen before. Thank you God for helping us with our home
projects and time spent with friends.

I was out the door at 6:10
am to have breakfast and Bible study with my accountability group. We have been
studying the Book of Acts, some really good information. I was back home by
7:45 am just in time to get ready for my trip to the Tampa VA for a breathing
test. I actually got in a little before my 9:30 am appointment time. The lady
that gave me the test didn’t tell me any of the results. I went in breathing
and came out breathing so I think I passed. It was a little passed 11:00 am
when I got home. Cheri was busy today with laundry, taking down all the
valentine decorations, and putting up the St. Patrick’s Day decorations. I
think she also spent some time in the sewing room. After lunch I went to Lowe’s
to pick up some materials for my Monday’s work. I also made a stop at Wal-Mart
to get some new wiper blades for the car. I had other plans to do more at home
but my body told me I had done enough for the day. Cheri fixed us a taco salad
for supper. We left the house at 6:15 pm to meet Mike and Pam at Walgreens
where we left our car and rode with them to our Life Group gathering at Ron and
Sandy’s. It was the first night study of a 6 week course. It was a good evening
with friends to study God’s word.

I didn’t think I was going
to have any work today so I spent time out in my work area doing some more
cleaning and rearranging. Then I got a call from the lady with the remote
keypad for her garage door. She wasn’t going to be home until 1:00 pm so I made
sure to be there by 1:00 pm. I got the keypad installed and working. I also
installed a new ceiling fan remote control. I had tried to call the lady that I
needed to put the new light in for and left a message. So she called me back and
I was able to finish my work for her. I had to lower a couple of pictures and
then installed a new motion sensor light outside of her patio. The old light
didn’t have a switch on it and had to turn in the bulb to get it on. There wasn’t
any place to add a switch so the motion sensor light was the answer. I also had
to check an attic exhaust fan that she was told in the house inspection that it
needed some care. So when I checked it out someone had put a new motor on the
fan so everything was ok. I was back home by 5:30 pm and ready for a good hot
shower. Cheri took Grandma for her radiation treatment on her nose this morning
and also did laundry today. She did find some time to spend in her sewing room.
Yesterday I mentioned that I had missed the NASCAR dual races, well I had the
wrong date and they were actually on this evening and got to watch them. It
turned out to be a much better day than it started out to be. Thank you God for
guiding us through the day.

Happy Valentine’s Day and hope
that you got something for your sweetie. I didn’t plan any work for today
because I was going for a motorcycle ride with our neighbor Mike. Cheri had a
busy day going to Wal-Mart to pick up medicine for Grandma and taking her for
her radiation treatment. She did find some time to work in her sewing room.
Mike and I left on our ride at 11:00 am. We were going to leave at 9:30 am but
because of a medical problem with his father in law we had to leave later. We
rode around close by in case something was to happen with his father in law. We
did ride 83 miles and made a stop at the Lakeland Harley dealer and then for
lunch at Steak and Shake before heading home. I took the truck and car through
the car wash late this afternoon. We had planned on going out for dinner this
evening to celebrate our 51 engagement. Yep 51 years ago I asked Cheri to marry
me. We wanted to go the Cattle Company for dinner. Cheri tried to get
reservations and the only thing they had was 3:30 pm and anything after 9:00
pm. So we ended up getting a couple of steaks and grilled the along with a
baked potato for our dinner. I had racing to watch this evening and forgot that
is was on and hadn’t set the DVR to record it.

It was a no work day for
me, well away from home that is. Cheri did her Tuesday work and I worked on
cleaning the motorcycle until 10:30 am. A longtime friend (Ken) of 50 plus
years who is down for a couple of months stopped in to spend the day with us.
It was good to see him as it has been a few years since we have been together. We
took Ken out for lunch at Sunrise Eatery and had to wait about ten minutes to
get in which was ok as we could sit outside and visit. Strange on our conversations
change over the years. Fifty years ago a talked about how we were going to concur
the world and now it’s all about our health and things we would still like to
do. Ken left around 2:30 pm and went back to work on the motorcycle cleaning.
It is going to take me another day to finish the detailing on it. I also got
the tires air up and ready for a ride tomorrow. I was so ashamed how dirty it
was and couldn’t be seen on the road with a dirty bike. That pretty much took
care of the day. Time for a light supper because of the big lunch and then the
recliners to watch some TV. We did take a break to go out and watch the Space
Station go over. Thank you God for a wonderful day to spend with an old friend.

Cheri had to take Grandma
for her 11:15 am appointment for radiation treatment on her nose. After that
was done she went to Wal-Mart to pick up groceries and medicine for Grandma. It
was around 1:00 pm when she got home. She fixed us leftover pizza from our
Sunday night pizza. I left the house at 8:15 am as I had a garbage disposal to
change out. The drain from the old one was cracked and distorted so while I was
putting in the new one the owner made trip for the part I needed to finish the
drain install. She got back with the part just before I needed it which was
good timing. On the way home I stopped by Larry and Denise’s and they have a
guy there painting their driveway along with the sidewalks plus the guy is
going to spray plaster in their new sunroom. It was around 12:30 pm when I got
back home. I felt pretty cruddy from the garbage install so I headed to the
shower. I had a 2:30 pm doctor’s appointment here in Zephyrhills for my yearly physical
and was back home by 3:30 pm. I had thought about going out to work in my shop
area but just didn’t have the energy to do it. I thought the recliner was a
better choice. Cheri joined me and we watched a little TV along with a nap for
me. Cheri fixed us pulled pork and potato salad for supper. We have been having
some hot days tying or breaking some records which also means some warm nights
and mornings which I like.

Grandma went to church
with us this morning. Pastor Randy had another great message on prayer. Sunday
school was another good lesson with Charlie. This afternoon Cheri spent time in
her sewing room. I loaded a few more thing in the truck for tomorrow’s
projects. I also made two trips to Lowes. The first one must have been a test
run as when I got out of the car I realized I had forgot my wallet and had to go
back home to get it. I needed a couple of things for work tomorrow. NASCAR
racing season starts this afternoon so you know how I will be spending my
Sunday afternoons. This evening we met Ron & Sandy and Mike & Pam at
Pizza Hut. Time for our Sunday evening pizza and a good visit. It has been a
long time since the six of us have been together. I have heard from several
people about the Blog and all want me to continue with it. Got some suggestions
that maybe I could do it once a week. That wouldn’t work very well for me as I
would have to keep notes for what I have done. So if I have to keep notes I might
as well write the blog entry. I even have trouble remembering what I did when I
do it every day. So the blog will continue and I will try to post more
pictures. Thank you for your input.

I had this recurring dream
last night, kept telling me to read Psalm 20 in the Bible. So the first thing
this morning I read it not knowing anything about it. God has his ways of
communicating with us and this was God way of talking to me. You have no idea
how good that made me feel. Cheri and I went out for breakfast at the Sunshine
Eatery at 7:30 am and got the last available table. We hardly got seated and
there was a line of people waiting to get in. We were back home by 8:30 am. I
headed out to a place here in the park to clean rain gutters which I thought
would take about an hour. But one of the gutters was coming off the house and
took me another hour to reattach it. Cheri fixed us leftover John Wayne
casserole for lunch. Cheri worked all day in her sewing room and coming to an
end of her project she has been working on. I went and got a much needed
haircut then worked on cleaning and rearranging in my work area. I got all my electrical
in one of the new cabinet I had bought a couple of months ago. I need another
good day and I will have everything in order. This evening Cheri and I along
with the rest of our accountable group were invited out for dinner at one of
the accountable group’s home. It was a fun night with good food and friendship
and a chance for the wives to get to know each other.

Cheri was busy with Friday
house work and laundry. She also made a trip to the bank and grocery store for
a few things to make a new casserole (John Wayne Casserole) for dinner. I was
back working in Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club. This being Friday it was
breakfast with my accountability group, no Bible as our study leader Charlie
couldn’t make it. My project today was to remove two sinks from the vanity and
then remove the vanity top along with the backslash. Then I add four inches to
the top of the vanity. After the new granite top is installed I will go back
and install the sinks. It was a great day and things went really well. When you
communicate with God on your projects things always go better. I talk to him
every morning and we discuss with his help what we are going to do for the day.
He never gives me more than I can handle. I was back home by 4:00 pm, nice to
be done a little earlier. The John Wayne casserole was very good. We settled in
for an evening of TV along with an ice cream bar for Cheri and popcorn for me.

Cheri and Denise spent the
day shopping making a trip to Old Time Pottery and I am sure there were many
more places they shopped. I left the house at 8:30 am and made a quick stop at
Lowe’s as I needed some materials for today’s project. I removed all the
baseboard from the kitchen which turned out to be a big job. Someone had
installed a tile floor over the existing linoleum without removing the
baseboard. I installed some bead board, added door molding around the laundry
door, installed a chair rail over the bead board, and installed new baseboard.
It was 4:30 pm when I got done. I called Cheri and told her I was on my way
home so she could have dinner ready. After dinner I made a trip to Harbor
Freight and then to Lowe’s picking up materials for the project I will be
working on tomorrow. By the time I was done and had my hot shower it was near
8:00 pm. We watched a couple of shows we had recorded and called it a night.

It was back to work today.
I worked over in Tampa Bay Country Golf. My project today was installing four
rollout trays in an island cabinet, remove a wire shelf in the laundry room,
install a 42in x 42in cabinet in the laundry room, hang a full length mirror in
the bedroom, and repair a patio door lock. It was 4:30 pm when I got done with
that job. I also made another stop to check out another job to install a new ceiling
fan remote and install a garage door key pad. Well when I checked the ceiling fan
remote it turned out to be just a battery change. So while I was there I
decided to install the key pad which wouldn’t take very long. Well that what I
thought but that is when things will go wrong. The key pad had to be mounted on
a concrete wall which took a little longer then I thought it would. Ok how long
can it take to program a key pad? I most have programed it 20 different times
with no luck. I tried many different things and still no luck. So after an hour
and a half I gave up and told them that they needed to get different key pad.
Long story short it was almost 7:00 pm when I got home. Needed less to say
Cheri had dinner ready for us at 5:00 pm. I also got a call from a lady telling
me that Grandma’s telephone and computer wasn’t working. So we made a trip over
to her place. It turned out that the modem was unplugged. After getting it
plugged in and back on line everything is working again. When I got home I was
ready for the hot shower to relax the muscles which felt good. Cheri was also
busy today. She made a trip to the bank and Wal-Mart for some things we needed.
She also spent time in the sewing room working on a quilt project that she
started some time ago. Thank you God for another wonderful day you gave us.

We had to get around early
this morning as I had an 8:30 am appointment in Tampa and left the house at
7:15 am. We were back home by 11:30 am. After lunch I spent time sorting
through my tools and getting the truck loaded for a project I have tomorrow. Then
I went and finished the caulking of the shower surround I had been working on.
So now that project is done. Cheri had most of her Tuesday work done yesterday
so she spent time visiting Jean next door. I thinks she also spent some time in
her sewing room. When I got home I did some paper and computer work getting
this week’s projects lined up. Cheri and I spent what was left of the afternoon
in our recliners napping and watching TV, can’t seem to get though an evening
without a nap before going to bed. On another note I have been seriously
thinking about ending my daily blog. I have been doing it for thirteen years
and really don’t have anything very interesting to write about. The blog was
started so our children and friends could follow our adventures as we traveled
this great county after we retired. So I guess I would like to have you send me
an e-mail with blog in the subject line to let me know how you feel about it. I
do want to thank everyone who has taken the time to read about our adventures. Our

Not much going on today.
Cheri was busy doing her Monday and Tuesday house work. I put some letters up
on the wall for Cheri that spell out home with a sunflower for the o in home,
looks nice. We had company from Ohio today. They arrived around 11:00 am. We
spent the rest of the forenoon catching up on what they have been doing for the
last year. Around 1:00 pm we headed over to Sunrise Eatery for lunch and then
to Ollies to look around. Ron and I also made a visit to Harbor Freight. Then
it was back home for more visiting. At 5:00 pm it was time to say our goodbyes
to Ron and Mary Jo as they were on their way to Sun City for the evening. Cheri
fixed us a grilled ham and cheese sandwich along with chips and cookies for dinner,
not all that hungry because of the big lunch we had. It was an evening of TV
and nap before bedtime. Thank you God for letting us spend time with friends
today.

Grandma had planned on
going to church with us but got an e-mail this morning that she decided to stay
home, said that she was ok and thought it was going to be a cold morning and
doesn’t like going out when it is cold. On the way home we stopped and to see
her and deliver some groceries. Lately I have been really tired and while
trying to watch some TV this afternoon I fell asleep and slept for over three
hours. Cheri was watching some Hallmark movies. We got a call from Ron and Mary
Jo Walton (friends from our 2008 Alaskan trip) that they will be here around
11:00 am tomorrow. Cheri fixed us the usual Sunday night pizza for dinner. I
checked on the Super Bowl a few time throughout the evening and went to bed
before it was over. We had a light rain that started around noon today and got
heaver into the evening. I checked the rain gauge and we received one inch.

I left at 7:30 am and
headed back to church for the rest of the Johnny Hunt conference. They had
coffee and donuts for us before the first break out session at 8:00 am. The
conference got over at 12:15 pm. It was an enjoyable time and got to meet some
new men that go to early Sunday school and late church. Cheri spent most of her
day in the sewing room trying to get back into the swing of some projects that
she started some time ago. When I got home I spent most of the afternoon
working on the computer along with some other paper work. Around 3:00 pm we
both needed to relax in our recliners. We both took a short nap while trying to
watch some TV. Around 4:30 pm I went out and fired up the grill to grill a
couple of ribeye steaks for dinner. At 6:30 pm Larry and Denise came over to
play cards. We played two games of Hand, Knee, and Foot which Cheri and Denise
won by a large margin. They were really happy as it has been a long time since
they last won. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I guess the ground hog saw
his shadow and we have six more weeks of winter. I never could understand the
shadow thing. I would think that if he saw his shadow the sun is out and would
mean less winter and when he doesn’t see is shadow means it is gloomy and maybe
even snowing and to me that would mean more winter, so much for what I think.
It was a non-working day for me. It seemed nice to have a day off. I did go for
my accountability breakfast and Bible study. I was back home by 8:30 am and had
a good Bible study. I unloaded the truck and then Cheri and I loaded the mattress
and box springs and took them to a center that helps needy families and they
were happy to get it. Our next stop was to get another temp tag for the truck
as after two months I still don’t have the license plate. Then we stopped at
Ruby Tuesday to have their salad bar and soup but found that the promotional
was over so we headed home for lunch. After lunch we headed to Plant City to
return a box of flooring that I didn’t need for the bathroom I had done. Then
it was on to Lakeland to stop at the south side Hobby Lobby to see if Cheri
could get the boxes she wants and no luck so on to the north side store where
she found what she wanted, happy lady. We were back home by 2:45 pm. I had
bought some new containers and spent some time packing tools which will make it
easier to put them in the truck and easier for me to find what I need when on
the job. Late this afternoon I had to be in church for the Johnny Hunt conference.
It started at 5:30 pm with a steak dinner and then the live streamed
conference. It is very interesting and didn’t get home until 10:30 pm.

Hard to believe January is
gone. I feel like I am on a slippery slope as time seems to be going faster,
maybe it is because I am slower. It was laundry day for Cheri and she also went
for her haircut along with some other shopping. I left the house at 9:00 am and
went to Lowe’s to pick up paint and other supplies, waited 45 minutes at the
paint department. I finally got work at 10:00 am. It was a busy day but things
went will. By 6:00 pm I had the job done except caulking around the shower and
that has to wait a few days for the shower panel’s adhesive to dry. It was
around 6:15 pm when I got home and didn’t feel like unloading the truck. Once
again I was ready for a good hot shower which always makes me feel better.
Cheri fixed us a French bread loaf for dinner, another one of my favorites.
Later while watching TV we had some lemon bars that Cheri had made. Thank you
God for guiding us through another day.

It was another cool
morning of 43 degrees. I think this is the coldest winter we have had since we
have been in Florida. I thought I was going to have short work day and would be
done before noon. Well I got a call from the guy I was supposed to work for and
was wondering where I was. I guess I miss understood when he called me last
night and said that the job was done. What he was telling me was that the base
of the new shower was in and the plumbing was done. So I told him I would be
there at noon. I worked on the project until 6:00 pm and will be going back
tomorrow morning. I was really tired when I got home and was ready for the hot
shower. Cheri had a busy day taking Grandma for her doctor’s appointment
getting her face mapped for the radiation treatments she will be having three
days a week. Cheri also stopped at the grocery store to pick up a couple of
things Grandma needed. Cheri was trying to get morning appointment set up for
Grandma and now Grandma said she wants afternoon appointments. So Cheri called
the doctor’s office and told them the change that Grandma wanted and is waiting
to see what appointment time will be. We had leftovers for dinner which were
very good. It was a short evening for me as I was very tired from the day’s
work and went to bed early. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.
